"Well it was not nice to flail around and hit me, now was it?" DemiArcmon gave a smug response, clearly not perturbed by the chastisement she received. She was used to it after all. While Cosmodramon's promise of adventure sounded enticing, she really did not want to be tied down by anyone. "Thanks for the offer, but I like to do things my own way and all, you know?" If she had any intention of being bound to a group, she might have sought out a tamer or something.
Startled by the sudden appearance of Digimon, both looking rather violent and rather strong, DemiArcmon moved to hide behind Cosmodramon anyway. DemiArcmon considered that she could go to her Rookie form if needed, but this probably did not involve her. She did not like to fight if she did not have to; Arcmon's abilities were not meant to deter.
"You do something! You're the human with a Digivice!" She shot back at Takara, not very much liking being commanded by such a rude person. What was her deal anyway? Why was she here if she did not even know where she was or why she came? She must be quite irresponsible.

Prophetmon saw as the ground got up and two digimon appeared. They seemed to be sparrowing. In a place ike the folder desert, sparrowing was a terrible idea, especially when they scared people like Cosmodramon, Takara and DemiArcmon.
"Stop this idiocity! Now! Don`t you see there are children here?" Prophetmon protested. Yet it seemed he might have to act "Peacefull Arrester!"
Prophetmon raised his hands and two golden chains flew off them, towards the two sparrowing digimon. If they hit, the digimons would be arrested and Prophetmon could try talking some sense into them.
Cosmodramon was disappoited that DemiArcmon had refused her offer.
"A shame. I`d really like a friend to have around. Prophetmon can be a little...too adult sometimes and he doesn`t always have time to play with me."
Then the two digimon erupted from the ground. It didn`t matter what Takara said, Cosmodramon was terrified and DemiArcmon`s attitude didn`t help. But then... Prophetmon engaged. Suddenly Cosmodramon was excited.
"Go Prophetmon!" she cheered. If Prophetmon had his hands free, he`d have facepalmed. The last thing he wanted was for the sparrowing digimon to think he was trying to get into the fight.

The battle raged on a little bit, if you could call one digimon clinging to another for dear life a battle. Takara was somewhat frustrated with her current companions, and their lack of determined action. Especially that DemiArcmon, which had decided to give her some cheek. She’d add it to the list.
The chains fired off, intercepted by the sudden eruption of a stone pillar from the ground, and the Tortomon roars again, swinging it’s head with a reasonable force, finally dislodging the Spadamon, who came tumbling along the ground, rolling into Takara’s feet. Takara looked down at the small digimon, who was in the process of picking up his sword.
”M’lady.” He said, with a flick of the fur on his head, before charging back into the fray. Unknown to Takara, at this point her digivice had decided it was appropriate to turn itself on, the screen lighting up. She glared at the DemiArcmon a little bit, before watching the battle which was going on. It didn’t make a lot of sense to her, but she felt somewhat of a need to cheer for the plucky white furred digimon. The underdog in this case. Even if he was stupid enough to charge right back at a digimon who had recently sent him flying.

Though normally DemiArcmon would have protested at the insinuation that she was a child, now was not really the time to argue with the one Digimon that seemed capable of defending them from Tortomon. "Why are they fighting anyway? I would be pretty mad too if someone was sticking a sword in me." From the way it looked, Tortomon probably had the advantage, but the small Digimon with a sword seemed the more aggressive of the two. DemiArcmon was starting to become anxious from watching the fight, but not for a lust of combat. Rather, she was worried it would develop into something she did not want to bear witness to.
"Please, stop fighting now, ok?! Whatever the problem is, I'm sure if you just talk it out..." She bounced around, trying to get the attention of the clashing Digimon. Even though she was such a little thing, DemiArcmon was very brave. Looking around for an opening, she considered jumping into the fray. Maybe her Flashbang would distract them long enough to get them to calm down? DemiArcmon flew over close to the two combatants before setting off her Flashbang attack. "Flashbang!" The loud pop and blinding light emitted from her body once again, this time meant to stop a fight rather than pick on a silly human.

Cosmodramon watched with disappointment as Prophetmon's chains broke against the rising rock, rendering his attack useless. As DemiArcmon was trying to tell them to stop, Cosmodramon decided she'd attempt to stop the fight.
"Cosmodramon, stay there!" Prophetmon ordered as if reading his stundent's mind. The smaller digimon got thrown of the tortomon, falling not far from Takara.. Yet, the spadamom just picked up his sword and cahrged at the tortomon again.
With DemiArcmon using her attack, Prophetmon ran to where she was. The light and sound temporarily blocked his senses, but he knew he needed to say something.
"Spadamon! Tortomon! Stop this fighting NOW! How idiotic must a digimon be to fight next to an oasis? Can't you be reasonable? What kind of pride leads you into this centered war?" Prophetmon asked.
His vision and hearing began to return.

The skirmish continued in a slightly different manner now, the Spadamon jostling around trying to find some part of the Tortomon to take a jab at. A part which wasn’t covering rock and other heavy protection. That did make it all a little bit more awkward for the small digimon, he was dealing with something which had a lot more defences than he had attacking options.
”Hyaaaaa.” He lunged again, when a sudden bright flash stunned the small digimon, causing him to trip, taking a facefull of sand the process, grains kicking up into his fur. Takara herself looked away from the bright light, a temporary flashback to the last time this happened all of a minute ago annoying her somewhat. The Tortomon itself responded by roaring, kicking up a pile of sand into a small screen, and re-burying itself beneath the sandy ground.
And with that the scene was over, the battle completed, and a Spadamon sitting in the sand, pulling round a shoulder bag which had previously been over his shoulder, checking the contents before turning to face Takara and the digimon.
”General Whisker at your service.” He announced proudly, shaking his head to clear out any additional sand.
”Ladies, gentlemen, m’Lady.”
Takara eyed the digimon suspiciously, still not aware of the shining light on the digivice in her hand. This one didn’t seem to be as obviously stupid as the rest. True he had scrapped with a digimon many times his own size, but otherwise he seemed to be quite reasonable. And he kept calling her m’Lady for some reason.

After launching her attack (if you could call that an attack), DemiArcmon looked to see if her efforts bore fruit. Thankfully, it seemed it was enough to distract the two Digimon. Tortomon had burrowed into the sand and appeared to have gone away. So with that, she had a question for the little soldier who was left to talk with them. The In-Training floated over closer to Spadamon, wary of getting too close to the violent slappy human, before inquiring.
"So, why were you and Tortomon fighting, Mister General Whiskers?" She had her own assumptions about that. The Tortomon had run away when it was no longer being attacked, which pointed to Spadamon as the likely aggressor. That said, she did not know the whole story, so she would reserve voicing her observations for now.
Eventually, she noticed a light emanating from Takara's digivice. That was not there before. "Your digivice has a message for you, slappy-human." Or at least, DemiArcmon assumed it was a message. Why else would a portable electronic light up? To tell her she was a chosen one? That would be silly.
Deciding to entertain herself, DemiArcmon began weaving and bobbing and bouncing around slowly in the air whilst she listened to the conversation to come.

The fighting stopped. Not that the winner chose it to stop, anyway. The tortomon just fled after the DemiArcmon`s attack, leaving the spadamon free to come to them. Peacefully, Prophetmon hoped.
The spadamon sat down on the sand. He introduced himself as "general whiskers". Prophetmon bowed.
"Greetings. My name is Prophetmon. Can you tell us the reason for your fighting?" Prophetmon asked "And why didn`t you..."
"Hey look Prophetmon! DemiArcmon is right, there`s something going on with Takaras digivice! Do you think general whiskers is her..." Cosmodramon interrupted. Prophetmon turned to see what she ment. Takara`s xros laoder had the screen lighted up. How didn`t Prophetmon realised this before?
"It`s possible. And it would explain what she`s doing here without a partner." Prophetmon replied. Yet, he had lost Cosmodramon`s attention as the dragon saw DemiArcmon bouncing around happily.
"Hey, can I play with you?" Cosmodramon asked the angel. "You seem really amused by that game. What`s it called? Maybe I can play it when Prophetmon is not around."
Prophetmon on the other hand was more focused on Takara and general whiskers.
"You might want to get that device close to general whiskers, Takara. Something good may come from it." Prophetmon suggested.

”That, my fine fellows is a matter between my and my fine rocky friend. But suffice to say, he lost a bet, and I was purely extracting my payment.” Whisker approached the questions with a certain bravado and confidence, completely disregarding the truth of the matter, that he had been reduced to petty theft after having fallen upon bad times. It was a shame the guild had more or less dissolved by this point, his other companions having left service for a variety of reasons. He eyed the digivice in Takara’s hands suspiciously, raking his brain. The small angel digimon seemed to just think it was flashing, one of the others seemed to think it would concern him. Nope, not a chance.
”Me, nope, not a chance. And that’s General Whisker to you mister.” And with that he trotted off into the sand.
And made it exactly five steps.
The digivice projected a brighter light, pulling Takara’s hand out to face Whisker, the stream of light projecting to directly infront of him, forming a wall which the digimon immediately walked into, bouncing himself backwacks a foot or two. ”Ouch.” He groaned. Looks like he couldn’t leave for some reason.
Takara watched this, a little unsure of how to proceed. It did seem a little on the cruel side to force Whisker into sticking with her, though she wasn’t too sure how she would fix that. The digivice wasn’t exactly co-operating with her, and seemed to be working off it’s own random criteria.
She took a couple of steps towards Whisker, speaking a lot softer than she had previously. ”Hey, you OK?” She asked.

Eyeing the swordsman Digimon suspiciously, DemiArcmon thought that sounded a little shady. What sort of payment involves weapons? The only kind she knew of was extortion. Still, she decided to let the matter drop. Tortomon got away safely, and it seemed like Spadamon had some troubling circumstances to deal with now. If her suspicions were correct and the little guy was up to no good, it seemed fate had a plan to rectify the matter.
Content that she was getting some recognition in the form of Cosmodramon admiring her "game", DemiArcmon turned to interact with the other Digimon. "I don't call it anything, it's just fun to do. I don't know if you can do it without being able to float, though. I suppose it couldn't hurt to try?" Cosmodramon seemed to have wings, but DemiArcmon did not use her own to fly; she would not know if aerodynamics would allow for the same type of thing if Cosmodramon actually had to use her wings.
There was only one way to find out though. DemiArcmon floated and bobbed closer to the Digimon before bouncing away, coaxing her to join in the fun. This was so much better than fighting. If only every one else could see that.

"That excuse was poorly given. You risked more lives than your own today, general whiskers, and that requires in the very least a convincing explanation."Prophetmon complained at the spadamon. The warrior Immediatly denied any possible connection to Takara, yet her fusion loader seemed to disagree., as it formed some sort of barrier that prevented general whiskers from stepping away from them. Takara approached him, seeming clueless as well and with a sweetness Prophetmon was yet to see in her, she asked if general whiskers was ok.
"Interesting..." Prophetmon commented thinking, however, it was best not to interfiere now.
Meningwhile Cosmodramon was watching how DemiArcmon played her game.
"It should have a name if you ask me." Cosmodramon commented. The Demiarcmon proceeded to try to show her how to play. "Let me try, let me try!"
Cosmodramon tried to bounce around with DemiArcmon, half jumping half flying, as the angel coaxed to join the fun. To Cosmodramon it didn'tseem so entertaining, but doing it with someone else...was a whole different subject.
"How am I doing, DemiArcmon?" Cosmodramon asked. .

Whisker ignored the digimon’s response. What did he know? Whisker was a legend among digimon – or so he liked to think – an hero for the times. He would go down in history as the commander of the greatest guild ever to exist. That was, right after he got back on his feet. The whole stunt with the Tortomon had been about that, his payment – in the form of the possession currently wrapped up in the shoulderbag was all he needed to get himself back to recruiting, back to making his guild great again. The human female, Takara some of the others had called her previously was showing kindness to her, despite it being her fault he hadn’t simply be able to march away on his own.
”Everything is perfectly fine, if m’Lady would be so kind as to allow me to leave.”
”I can’t. This thing doesn’t work like that, it doesn’t listen to me. Who are you? How did you get here?”
”I, m’Lady am the legendary General Whisker. I seek the most priceless of artefacts , and most capable of fighters to join my guild. And you, m’Lady seem to have somehow thrown a spanner into these works. Perhaps you would like to join me for the immediate future, since your device doesn’t seem to want us to part so soon.”
Takara pondered the option a little bit. So far this seemed to be the only digimon she had encountered which she didn’t wish physical pain on so far. He was much better than all the other ones.
”I guess we like, don’t have a choice, eh?” She responded, looking back to see a pair of digimon bouncing around, and one watching her. The rest of them really where idiots.

DemiArcmon was having fun bouncing around all wibbly and wobbly, but she was also a Digimon of short attention. Takara had mentioned something before about a train that had taken her here. Maybe it would take her somewhere more interesting when it came back? Cosmodramon tried comically imitating her moves, but it did not seem like gravity was much on her side. Did she know anything about the trains? "Cosmodramon, that slappy human said she got here by a train. Do you know when the next one will get here?" She danced along anyway, seeing no reason to stop just to ask a question.
Her boredom was starting to show. Dancing and bouncing in the air could only entertain her for so long, and it seemed like neither the slappy human nor the suspicious swordsman Digimon were going to be agreeable. Prophetmon and Cosmodramon were cool and all, but how was she going to rescue damsels from the forces of evil hanging around in an oasis with them? DemiArcmon needed adventure in her life, and this did not seem like the place she would find what she was looking for. Maybe she could find something interesting in the Human World?

Prophetmon watched and heard attentively the conversation between Takara and General whiskers. They seemed to agree on joining forces given the lack of a choice. General Whiskers also explained his purpouse, claiming he would build a guild to made from "the most capable fighters". Did he mean himself?
"I must warn you, general whiskers, that pride has taken more than lives from many digimon, even the mightiest. Your relation with Takara seems fitting, and it certainly must be, given her xros loader recognised you as her partner, or at least so I suspect. Congraculations to both of you, but beware as your pride may be your downfall." Prophetmon told them, bowing.
Meaningwhile, Cosmodramon was getting a bit tired of DemiArcmon's game and it seemed so was DemiArcmon herself, as she asked about the trains.
"Well, I don't know. Prophetmon never let's me into one if those trains, he says they could bring me to the human world or to bad places in the digital one. But maybe he does...Prophetmon!" Cosmodramon replied, before turning to call Prophetmon "When's the next train coming?"
"Yes?" Prophetmon asked, gotten by suprise by Cosmodramon "As far as I know none is coming to this part. I thought they didn't cross the desert except beneath it, where it links to the hardware den."

So this was what she was going to get from this world. A small furry digimon with a sword, and certain attempt at knightly valour. At least he was entertaining, and Takara felt happier with Whisker than she did any of the other digimon she’d met. He at least brought forth some enthusiasm too. She was quiet while Prophetmon spoke, spouting out some stuff about pride and whatnot. Meh. It was all clique.
”Meh, don’t worry about it Whisker, I don’t listen to him anyway.” She still wasn’t a fan of the Prophetmon, partly through hatred by association, and partly because he seemed like he was a little full of the over-cliqued statements and whatnot. It was the sort of thing that would irritate her, because it all just seemed so fake. She gave him a quick glare, before stopping again. She’d sent her message.
”No need for worry my fine chap, I have no fears of pride before the fall. A noble concept yes, but one which is more impressive in writing than reality. But alas, with my noble damsel in tow I am sure you shall be hearing all about me in good time.” He stopped to turn to Takara. ”Now perhaps we should depart. Our fates have crossed, and it would be of much benefit to us both to gain suitable companions, or at least begin the search.”[/color]
”I gues….HEY! What part of me is a damsel?”
Whisker didn’t answer, instead darting off into the sand, Takara watching for a second before chasing after him. Well, this was one way to kick off an adventure.
