Hi hi everyone, it's your lovely mod DA here! I would like to present to you the Sub-Plots board! Basically this is a board for members to create their own crazy little events and sub-plots for others to join. However, before you all go buckwild, I shall explain the rules:
1. The Forum Rules still apply. Particularly, staff approvals. Yes, that means you must fill out a template, which is provided below, and you must have two staff members approve it. It's just like when you make a mission.
2. Try not to conflict with the main plot. We're all for having sub-plots that branch off the main one. But don't have it conflict with the main plot. For example, if the main plot is about the Royal Knights fighting to preserve the Digital World, do -not- make a subplot of the RKs going psycho and going on a killing spree in an attempt to destroy it. That's just way too confusing.
3. There can be missions for the said subplot. There's no problem with having missions for a subplot. Just when you make the mission note that it has connections to this and this subplot to make it clear to people when it's posted up.
4. Character Development Subplots are welcome. Don't be afraid to make a subplot that'll help in character development. This is a board for all member-created subplots/events. It's not just restricted to evil subplots when some big bad RPC is destroying an area and needs to be stopped.
5. Be Creative! Let those creative juices flow! That may have made me sound like a hippie, but I'm being serious. Have fun with making events for people! Don't be afraid to come up with some fresh new ideas. Creativity is encouraged here when making subplots. It's funner to look at new ideas.
So those are the rules. Now I give you the template!:
Name: Name of the plot/event.
Number of Members Allowed: How many people can join? If there's no limit, put unlimited.
People Needed: If there are any specific roles that need to be filled, post them here. It can either be a list or a paragraph describing the roles needed.
Description: Just what the heck's happening? Gomamon invading the beach in the Human World? A dancing Bearmon tribe is under siege? Be specific; People need to know what they're signing up for. If you want your plot to stay in a certain direction, like the Gomamon must lose, state it here also.
Goals: What is/are the goal(s) of the event? To help with character development? Have a subplot that latches off the main one? Or just for teh lulz?
Here's an example:
Name: Killing of the Lambs
Number of Members Allowed: Unlimited
People Needed: It would be preferred if there were good-aligned people going in to stop the Impmon. However, any person of any level or alignment is allowed.
Description: It was another day at the high school. Young humans were running to their classrooms and talking in the halls as usual. It was just an ordinary day. That is until the Impmons came. Demidevil and his family of Impmons have come from the Digital World to wreck havoc on the Human World. First target is the high school. They're gathering around the school in an attempt to burn it down and kill the innocent students and faculty within the school. The only people who can stop them are ones who know of the Digital World. It is your choice to help the Impmons in their destruction or stop them in their path. The fate of the school depends on you.
Goals: This plot's purpose is to provide a fun subplot for everyone. People can have fun either helping or killing the Impmon. There's no true nature behind the event and it's not connected to the main plot. So this is entirely for fun and destruction.
