Getting on his knees, Charles reached out to the water pool before quickly splashing himself with some. The refreshing cold waters gave him na immense sensation of relief. He had run out of water not too long ago, yet the foret seemed to provide enough. Nevertheless, he had to be carefull about what he drank. Who knew if there wasn`t some kindof vírus or tiny hidden digimon in the water. Afterall, he was dri king water he found on the ground, despite the fact it came from the falls ahead of him.
Charles stood and looked around himself, forest covering him. Well, in the way there most of the jungle seemed to have been destroyed by something, even if he wasn`t aware of anything of something that could have taken down so much of the immense jugle that once had been there. Fortunatly, there were still a few packs of woods, including near the falls, so he decided to come hide in there. He just hoped it was remote enough.
Charles looked at his hands, remembering the events that led him there....and everything they made him loose. Angry, he kicked the water, a splash of it, rising into the air before falling back into the small lake. Charles got on his knees again, grabbing the ground, trying to calm down again. Not for the first time, he wondered what he did to have deserved what happened to him, without any answer coming to him, as always.
Tired, Charles lied down for a bit over his cloak. It was hard to believe that it was the one thing keeping him from turning into wild colossal beast, whose only purpouse and desire is to kill as many as possible. Well, if he was very lucky he might be able to resist becoming Chaoskimeramon for half na hour or so from being parted from his cloak, with the only side effect being being turned into a huamn rabid dog due to being unable to counter the will of the hundreds of murderous souls contained in his beast fraction. He wondered how bad things would get once he found his actual beast spirit, if the cloak would suffice to contain it.
But at least now he was isolated from contact with anyone. That way maybe he wouldn`t kill anyone again if he lost control. A burden he`d carry forever....he just hoped the man`s family was ok. What he did to them was beyond forgivness. Yet as much as he wanted to just set himself on fire, Charles knew his spirits would never let their host kill himself.

It had been weeks since Tasha and Pedra made a return to the digital world. Pedra had been bugging her tamer about going back, missing being around other digimon and exploring new places. Plus, there would be a chance that Tasha would make a fool of herself. After the few dangerous experience that they had in this world, Tasha wasn’t looking forward to going back at all. This wouldn’t have come this time, but she had to do a report about waterfalls for school. Pedra suggested a place in the digital world where she could see a large one herself. But the thing that finally convinced her was that she wouldn’t bug her for a while.
So here they are, Tasha and her Floramon partner now found her way to this forest. They could both hear the sound of the roaring waterfalls around them. The young girl was feeling tense, not sure what they would find out here. Pedra saw her partner’s nervousness and chuckled a bit.
“Ah. Don’t be scared, Tasha. There’s no one out here.” Said Pedra confidently.
“Girl, how do you know that? You don’t know if some beast could come out from the trees or somethin’!” said Tasha, still looking around her frantically.
“Oh please. Who would be living up in the trees anyway?”
“I don’t know..maybe a demonic monkey or a--”
Pedra cut her off. “Tasha...There’s no one out here but you and me.”
Suddenly, Tasha thought that she heard noise close from her. She turned around and walked the way. “Ookay. Now I know that I heard something. How about we go home and I look up waterfalls on the internet.”
Pedra extended her vines and wrapped them around her tamer’s waist to keep her still. “Come on, Tasha. Don’t worry. You have me here. I’ll protect you from whatever out there.”
Tasha sighed. She was right about her protecting her. She did get her out of binds with bad digimon. And it would be nice to actually see a real waterfall. She gulped and turned back, Pedra released her vines around her. With that settled, the two kept going on their way. From behind a bush, they could see a figure laying down on the ground. This both shocked them, with Tasha almost about to run away again. Then they saw a boy about her age.
“Oh…What’s he doing here?” Tasha said curiously.
“Why don’t we go and ask him. Maybe he might know where we can find a really big waterfall.”
Tasha couldn’t help but know that Pedra was right. They both slowly approached the boy. “Hey, um…are you okay?”

How suprising. He had a nightmare...again. Being chased by crowds of digimon, humans and even plants and rocks, all of them wanting him dead. Running for hours was a tiring thing, and so, exhausted, he fell to the ground, being curshed under the weight of thousands of angry beings, filled with hatred towards him for his actions. Charles screamed in pain, unable to move.
"Please, let me go, I didn't do anything, my spirits did!" Charles complained, crying.
"You ARE your spirits. It was your lack of control that set them loose, it was your body that gave them life, it is your soul that they crave." the crowd replied in a chore, smashing even more. The pain was unbearable, unstopabble, and still it seemed that nomatter how much weight was on him, nomatter how much his bones cracked, or he screamed, he simply wouldn't die, but he's be doomed to stay in that hell for ever. With one final push, the crowd pilled itself above him...
Charles woke up screaming and sweating. It was a dream fortunatly. But was reality any better? Could he truly say that this inner suffering wouldn't grow to be as bad as the crushing pain in the nightmare? Only time could tell. He took a deep breath, tired. The world around him proved his memories were nor just bad dreams too, regardless of how much they seemed to be it. However, he turned to side, as he heard a voice asking him on his well-being.
Next to him, was a girl. A HUMAN girl. The kind of people he had tried so hard to isolate from, and there she was, as if the universe was playing a sadistic prank in him. Charles quickly stood horrified.
"No,no,no,no,no, NO!" Charles said, punching a nearby tree in anger. Were his efforts to evade populated areas useless? He turned to the girl again, noticing her partner, a floramon "What do you want? Please, tell me, and leave quickly."

Both Tasha and Pedra were watching the boy. He was tossing and turning, muttering in his sleep. It seems that he was having a nightmare of some sort. Tasha didn’t realized that he was a sleep. Before she could do anything, suddenly woke back up, screaming and making them jump. The moment that he saw them, he suddenly started yelling over to them and punching a tree, asking what they are doing there. Tasha just stood there for a moment, stunned. All she did was ask if he was alright, and he just blew his lid all of the sudden. Then her surprise and confuse turned to anger. Her cheeks turned red over her black skin as she starting to get steamed. She stomped over at the boy, giving him a hard glare and yelled at him back.
“I know you just not..! I don’t know what your problem is, but you better not be talking to me like that! All I ask if you okay! You didn’t have to go crazy.”
Pedra saw where this might be heading. She ran over in front of Tasha and stopped her. She looked over at the boy. “Heh. You have to excuse my tamer. She tends to get cranky sometimes. Anyway, we were trying to find some really big waterfalls around here. Think you might know where one is?” Pedra asked him.

His reaction was rushed, he was soon to realise it, particulary when the girl replied back in a yell. Charles stepped back, the yelling scarying him. What if the girl turned violent? Could he defend himself without harming her too much? And then, without realising it, the girl said one of the worst things she could say: She said that he didn't need to "go crazy". Charles looked down, truly ashamed. Could it be that went "crazy"? Was he becoming as mad as Nightspellmon, or as wild as Chaoskimeramon? The girl's partner stepped in between them, trying to calm down the situation, or so it seemed. She claimed their purpouse there was to find some big waterfalls.
"You're right, I apologize. I'm afraid that "crazy" is a word that us beggining to define me, even if I fight it with all my strength. This lake's waters come from the falls. All you gotta do is follow them." Charles said, taking a deep breath and bowing, and pointing at the lake he had drunken from. Speaking of which, he turned and bended down, taking some more water to fill his mouth. He did come to that particular place because it could provide him what he needed to survive, and because it seemed to be remote enough, until now. Yet, a thought ocurred to him, and he quickly turned back to the females "Please tell me there's no one else with you."

It seems that the boy has calm down after Tasha was done yelling over at him. He even apologize to her about his outburst and told them that if they follow the lake water, they would find some waterfalls. Tasha crossed her arms and took a few deep breaths.
“It’s okay…Just don’t freak out at me like that.” Tasha said to him, still a bit hot under the collar.
Pedra was glad that they both calm down and found out where they can find some waterfall. Still, there were some things about this boy that made the Floramon curious. What was he dreaming about earlier and why did he suddenly get angry when he saw them. Then after he apologize, he was saying something about crazy was defining him. There was something clearly wrong with him, but wasn’t too sure what it is. Then he asked them if there was anyone else with them. Pedra went over to him.
“There’s isn’t anyone else with us. Oh, how rude. We forget to introduce ourselves. My name is Pedra and this is my tamer, Tasha. If I may ask you, what exactly are you doing out here by yourself? Where’s your digimon?” Pedra asked, neither her nor Tasha are familiar with spirit wielders.

The girl also seemed to calm down, making Charles reliefed, or as reliefed as he could be, given he still had to deal with so many things, crazy spirits, being found, guilt, regret, pain, sorrow... He was pretty sure that back home, people would have called him a lunatic for what he had done, would have put in the looney bin and some psychologist would have come to try to "treat him", if it was possible. Well, Charles was also pretty sure that no "Doctor Phil" could "treat" his spirits out of him. In the end, anyone who try tried would either end up stabbed to death or simply smashed beneath one of Chaoskimeramon`s claws.
The Floramon was polite, as after she stated they were alone indeed, she commented on how rude it was that she and her tamer hadn`t introduced themselves. For some reason, it reminded Chares of another plant digimon with such mannerisms, Ayaka partner to Ma-No he couldn´t think about it now. It wasn`t the time to have those things on his mind, or he`d REALLY go crazy. He took a deep breath.
"Forget about it Charles, they`re out out your reach now, for everyone`s sake." Charles whispered to himself. Yet he couldn`t help but to feel sad, still wondering about the point of it all. In what kind of world should anyone have to endure his suffering?
The floramon spoke again, this time asking where his digimon were and why he was there.Charles pointed at his chest.
"My digimon are right here, thought they are trying to get a little higher." Charles said as he moved his finger to point to his head "And I wouldn`t exactly say they are "my" spirits either. My name´s Charles, and the reason why I freaked out is the exact same reason as to why I`m here: I trying to get myself and my spirits far enough from other people...But I`m starting to think I didn`t run far enough."

Both Tasha and Pedra are very confused about everything this boy, Charles, was saying. He was talking about some kind of “spirit” was inside him and keeping it away from people. Neither of them didn’t understand at all what he meant. Pedra was thinking that maybe his digimon is actually inside of him. It was strange, but interesting. Tasha, who had fully calm down at that point, was still trying to make sense to all of this. She wished that she could say that he’s physically alright and can be on her way to see the waterfall, but from the way the looks, she could tell that was more things bothering him. It wouldn’t feel right to just leave him like this. And for once, Pedra actually agrees with her. Tasha went over to Charles as well.
“Look, I’m not exactly sure if I understand this whole scary spirit thing, but I’m not sure running away and living out in the wilderness is the answer.” Tasha said to him, sounding concerned for him.

Charles backed up a bit when the girl approached him. Was she gonna try to help him? No, he couldn't let that happen. Everytime someone tried to help, things went wrong, and they ended up leaving him for dead and even worse than how they started. And the people he harmed...so many of them, so many good people he endangered and hurt. He wouldn't let this girl and her partner become the next link in huge chain of suffering that seemed to want to follow him to the end of his days. And then, Tasha said something that angered him: she questioned his decision to run away. It reminded him of Mana's statement, of how he had to face his spirit's. And how well did THAT turn out?
"You don't think it's the best solution. You're, right, you don't understand this at all." Charles said, approaching the girl closely. "But come on tell me what I can do, but run. I can't face them, I tried. I tried to get rid of them, but they're me. I tried to take myself out, they won't let me. Now, I wanna live, but mostly I don't wanna harm anyone else. If you knew what is inside me...how far can your partner digivolve again? Cause unless she can get much bigger, I doubt she'd be able to avoid getting squashed by Chaoskimeramon."

Tasha was starting to get angry again. Here she was, trying to offer her help to someone and she get chastised for it. It was starting to become obvious to her that he wasn’t going to bring her in and explain his problem to her. She had the right mind to just leave him be and have him deal with it himself. The more she thought about it, the angrier she was starting to get. Her cheeks were starting to get red again and she started to yell over to him.
“Hmph, whatever then! All I wanted to do see if you need some help, but if you rather live out here in the woods, then see if I care! Come on, Pedra, let’s go!”
Tasha started to storm off towards the direction of the lake, hoping to see the waterfalls and be done with this place. Pedra just stood there for a moment, looking at Charles. All that stuff that he said was a bit uncalled for, but still something that’s bother her. Maybe there was a reason why he was trying to push her and Tasha away? At least it would be worth asking. So the Floramon went over to Charles.
“Um, Charles. If you don’t really want help, that’s fine. It’s just…Maybe if you could explain what’s going on, then maybe we can understand.”

Quite a while ago and a few distances away, something fell from the sky, hitting through a few tree branches. Hitting the ground hard, the object looks like a dark purplish Agumon wearing a robe. This digimon is actually NiseAgumon Hakase, self proclaimed evil genius and future ruler of the Digital World. He sat back up, still feeling the painful of injuries from his last confrontation. He couldn’t believe that he lost his lab site and all of his construction robots were destroyed. He was making such progress on his project, but than that medling Mega level digimon had to get his way. The Hakase reach into his robe and pulled out a blueprint of a robot that looks like a WarGreymon. It was, in fact, the MechaWarGreymonX39 Mk II. It was design to be even more powerful than a Super Mega digimon and be virtually indestructible. The actual robot is almost complete, but it takes an enormous amount of power to run it. So he would need to have both a new lab to finish construction and a power source in order to finish his project.
Sadly, now he would have to find his nearest lab to make more construction bots and find another place to finish the MechaWarGreymonX39 Mk II. First, he would need to navigate out of these woods. The Hakase started moving, only seeing an endless amount of trees and the roaring sounds of the waterfalls. The thought of that annoying FireBeezemon was making his blood boil. There must be some way to deal with these troublemakers so that he doesn’t get interrupted. What he needed was for someone to do that job for him. Then as he was walking, he was hearing voices from nearby. He was surprised to there was someone here, seeing how remote this place was. He looked through a bush and saw two humans and a Floramon. The Hakase growled to himself. He was quite tried of see these humans. But then he was listening to them closely as it seems that the human boy was a spirit user. From what he can understand, he is out here to avoid people and make sure that his out of control spirits doesn’t hurt anyone.
Now thinking about, NiseAgumon could very well take advantage of this. If he could say just the right things, than maybe he could make use of this boy’s spirit. Sure, he did try to do a similar plan with another spirit user a long time ago, but the Agumon was convince that this will work. He kept out of sight from in the bushes, seeing what the boy has to say to the Floramon.

By the yelling and the order that Tasha gave out to her partner, Charles guessed his attempts were working. To be honest, he wasn't entirely sure if he really wanted to do that. To push people away. But he knew it was necessary, or someone else would and up dead, and all those around Charles hurt, perhaps more deeply than any physical wound would manage.
And then, Pedra spoke to him, insisting on knowing about him. Charles reached to his pocket, grabbing the photo in there to have the strenght he needed to continue. This time, he'd try to scare the digimon and her tamer of trying to help him.
"Ok, then, you want to know what's going on, then I'll explain. I am a spirit wielder, a guy who can turn into a digimon using digimon spirit totems and a D-Tector. Difference is, I don't control my spirits when I do it, they control me. They're inside me, plotting they're through, always seeking to take control. My first spirit was Steamdramon, a sneaky, cowardly rookie who was also a famous assassin in his first life. Then there was Replimon , much easier to control but I know he's holding back. Has the capacity to copy the oponent's body, to use their own attacks against them and to mimic his moves. On other words, Replimon is as strong as his oponent. There's Nightspellmon. You can never be sure if he's tricking you or not, but you can be sure he's damm mad, and get it he seems to have a point. Maybe he does...Anyway, I've seen his moves he doesn't usually fight his own battles, but when he does he usually leaves the oponent dead and himself nearly unharmed." Charles told Pedra "Oh and there's the cherry on top of the cake, Chaoskimeramon. So big, a single finger pushed back a Metalgreymon before Chaoskimeramon was even fully formed. That day, he took down an army without feeling the hits. The pain inside is too intense to feel anything beyond it, too many angry souls of murdered digimon in there to be able to supress with my own will. Not to mention, there's still two spirits to go, Nightdramon and Splintermon."
Charles looked up, taking a deep breath, yet he quickly opened his eyes again as he thought he heard something. Was his imagination playing tricks on him or was there someone else in there? Could it be someone he knew? If so, Charles knew he'd have to run for it.

When Charles was describing what a spirit wielder, Pedra was listening intently. She had no idea that people can use a spirit to turn into a digimon. It seems like human can be just as mysterious as digimon are. Then he saying that his spirits were controlling him and telling her how powerful and dangerous they are. Admittingly, they do sound really scary, but it does make her think what it would be like to digivolve. Actually, this never came into mind for her until now. She wasn’t really how to control monstrous digimon like those, doesn’t like the fact that he has to live with it.
Soon, Tasha came back over to them when she realized that Pedra wasn’t following her. “Come on, Pedra. Let’s go already. Can’t you see that this boy doesn’t want help from us.” Said Tasha, glaring at her digimon.
Pedra sighed a bit. She would have to admit that Tasha might be right about Charles not wanting any help. They should probably move on, as much as she didn’t like to do so. She did have the feeling that he was telling her most of this stuff scare her. She was actually more curious than anything else. She just not good at this kind of serious, hardcore stuff.
“Alright alright. I’m coming, Tasha.” She looked over at Charles. “Well, it’s too bad I don’t know anything spirits and stuff. Maybe there might be someone who know more about them.”
Suddenly, there was some rustling in some bushes close to them. This made Tasha jump and run behind Pedra, looking terrified. She didn’t know what kind of digimon were in those bushes ready to leap out at them. Pedra looked on over at the bush, preparing to whatever might come out.

As NiseAgumon Hakase looked through the bushes, he was feeling very anxious and excited. This might work out better than he would imagine. This boy is indeed a spirit wielder, and from hearing how powerful all of his spirits already are, they can be able to take care of any strong digimon that might threaten his project. Besides, he doesn’t mind helping out the poor boy. Instead of his spirits getting control of him, the Hakase would get control of his spirits. He would have to take the diplomatic route for this one, but the Agumon was sure he could pull it off.
The Hakase soon came out of the bushes, putting his best smile. It seems that he scared the human girl, which of course does amuse him, but he tried to pretend not to notice.
“Greetings, ladies and gentleman. I was just taking a stroll out in the woods and I couldn’t help but overhear that your spirits are giving you trouble. Allow me to introduce myself. I am NiseAgumon Hakase. I graduated from the University of Digimon Sciences majoring in spirit digimon research.” The Agumon reached into his black robe and pulled out a circular badge, showing it off. It was actually made out of cardboard, but he moved it back into his robe quickly so that they wouldn’t notice. “I’ve spend many years studying spirit digimon behavior and I’ve seen cases like yours countless times. I can’t call myself a spirit research if I pull a blind eye to this problem. What do you say, young man. Would you allow an expert such as myself to help you out with your dilemma?” The Hakase reach out his claws over to the boy, seeing if that he would accept it.

Charles let out a blow of air, reliefed. It seemed he managed to push away the Floramon as well. Again, part of him wished she and her tamer stayed, to help him. Another part of him was aware that, in truth, that would only bring pain to everyonne, as it always had. Nobody could help, even someone who knew more about spirits than most. His spirits weren`t regular. Normal spirits didn`t take over their hosts, they just aided and let the host become them, fight alongside them.
When the agumon variant came out of the bushes, however, Charkes moved into a more defensive stance. The digimon talked like he knew he was there, and there was no reason to trust that was a good thing. The the badge the digimon showed was suppose to credit or something for having passed this school or whatever...the chat was just a way to get ther attention, Charles guessed. He had spend too much time with Nightspellmon inside him to be able to fall to such techniques that easily. Only when the NiseHagumon Hakase told him that he could help Charles with his spirit problem did things become more interesting for the boy.
The problem was, he wasn't the only one to pay more attention to the bluish digimon. Charles fell to the ground pressing his hand in his head with his eyes wide open. He screamed as the fractal code erupted from his chest and enveloped him. When the fractal code disappeared, it was no longer Charles that was there, but Nightspellmon.
"And what's in it for ME?" the ghost asked , staring down with his for red eyes. " I doubt those courses of yours have anything regarding me or my peers. Maybe you have some experience with life and wish to apply it to me? Then I should give you the final lesson on life: death. I've arledy experienced it, I know how important it is better than most. Or maybe you trust that false badge can fool me? Trust me, even id ut was real it would still be worthless. I have millenia of experience. Compared to me, you're a baby crying for candy in an unfair world. A world that forsoke his elders. That forsoke his saviors."
