What Does the Future Hold? [Yui]

"It's a bit big..." she murmered to herself, glancing around as she walked. High school...she wasn't in it yet, of course. Soon, though, within the next 2 or 3 years, and she felt it was never too early to start thinking about these sorts of things. She had just wanted to come and check out what it was like, the urge having been growing strong through the day, and now that school had finished, she went right over. And it wasn't like it'd take too long; her own elementary school was just nearby, after all.
"Yup! Really big...say Paige. Are you gonna let me ever investigate all this human stuff?" Paige paused, glancing downwards, before heaving a great big sigh and bending down to pick up Nyaromon.
"Hey...I told you, stay in the bag with your sister, alright? It's too suspicious to go carrying you around all the time...and it sorta makes me look like a baby." she admitted. Nyaromon, for her part, peered at Paige before sighing and nodding; Paige smiled at that before opening the bag, gently placing her partner in there before closing it up.
Besides, someone had to keep her second partner company.
Paige was just about to get started moving again (perhaps she should investigate the cafeteria...) when she stopped herself and strained to hear. Was that...yes! It was indeed music.
With a cheerful smile on her face, the girl stepped close to the door the music was coming from and just stood there, listening for a bit. It was...inspiring, to hear all those sounds working together to create good music. And it was good to hear one person making great music, too. People here were good...but she'd be better than them when she got here, that was for sure.
Feeling that urge more than anything now, Paige quickly headed to just outside the high school, taking a seat at the nearest bench. And just like that, she listened to her urge, and dug out her flute; it wasn't too long before she began to play it, feeling the calm and peace fall over her, as it always did, when she played.

Yui was walking about, followed by two blonde children who appeared to be about 12 or 13. Of course these two were her digimon, but to anyone else they would look like ordinary human children. She was just walking around at the moment, thinking of recent events. Her digimon could digivolve to champion...she wondered how long until they went further...what would they be like? She knew they had to get stronger, so that could protect themselves and others. Seeing them get hurt...it was just too much for her to bare. She wished she had the strength to help...to fight with them. Yui sighed as she turned, feeling a hand on her shoulder. When she turned, she saw Loli and Pop staring at her with worried expressions. "You have been quiet lately Yui. Are you okay?" she asked, as Yui smiled and nodded at them. "Yah, I am. Just a lot on my mind is all. Don't worry about it." she said, but the twins weren't buying it. "We don't want you hurting Yui. You can tell us if something is up." he said while Loli nodded. Yui thought for a moment, and was thinking maybe it would be good to talk about it. But before she could they were distracted by a sound. A flute? "Huh...is there band practice today? No it would be more then one if that was the case.." she muttered as she walked over to see where the sound was coming from. She spied a young girl and smiled. It was nice to see kids taking up hobbies other then loafing around. It reminded her of her little sisters. Loli and Pop were also enjoying the music, and they smiled and stood there listening.

Paige didn't notice her audience, at least not right away. She was far too engrossed in her music; plus, her eyes were closed. She did notice her bag stirring slightly, though. Not enough for anyone else to notice, only she could do to the small movements. The young girl did her best to just ignore that for now and keep playing. Before too long, though, she finished and let out a slight sigh, a smile on her face. It always felt so nice to just...focus on the music and play, as if there was nothing else. That was about when she opened her eyes.
It was also when she blinked and stared at the audience before her. Two were more her age, while one of them was a little older. High school, maybe? Paige blushed only slightly when she realized they had been watching, and listening, to her play before she put her flute away, curiously eyeing all of them. "Hello," she spoke, standing up. Had they been standing there for the entire thing...? If so, it was just a little embarrassing that she hadn't noticed them earlier.
Not that she would have been able to, she realized, so there was no point in dwelling on that. "Were you listening long?" she questioned, smiling at all three of them. Huh...the ones closer to her age looked really similar to each other; were they twins, maybe? They were siblings, at the least. "MY name is Paige Mikuni." she offered to them, giving them a bow.

The three of them listened for a bit, before she noticed them. "Oh! Sorry that was rude wasn't it. It sounded nice." Yui said as she scratched her head. "Not too long. Probably two...maybe three minutes at most." she said as Loli gave a curtsie before introducing herself. "Hello Paige. I am Loli." she said in a very polite tone. "And i'm Pop! What's that thing you got called?"Yui smiled and placed her hand on Pop's head. "It's a Flute. And I am Yui Kimura. Nice to meet you." she said, stepping forward and extending her hand to Paige to offer it for a greeting. Pop still had a big mouth and sometimes forgot that things he doesn't know are normal human things...most humans would be aware of. "So do you normally hang out around the High School?" Yui asked with a chuckle.

"Not at all," Paige answered, shaking her head. Rude? Hardly. She was a little flattered, honestly. "Just a bit...surprising that people were listening to me play. Especially for so long," she added a moment later, giving a bright smile. Did that mean she was getting better at it already...? She certainly hoped so! With that thought in mind, she looked to the others as they spoke, nodding her head as they introduced themselves.
Yui, Pop, and Loli, huh? Those last two sure were strange names, and...wait, had that boy just asked her what a flute was? She blinked, glancing at him, before glancing to the musical instrument. Didn't...everyone know what they were? Her perplexed state showed on her face as she eyed him, and she was just about to speak when Yui did so for her.
"Nice to meet you all!" she spoke, reaching forward to gently shake the other girl's hand. "And, ah...no...not really. I just got to wondering what it'd be like when I'm in high school...so I decided to look at it. And then I heard music, and sorta got inspired, so..." she trailed off, smiling a bit.

"Ah well, good to hear. It was nice. Still a little rough, I won't lie but very nice. Keep at it and who knows." Yui said, trying to be encouraging. Yui herself didn't play any instruments and wouldn't know what to do if she picked one up. But she did enjoy singing from time to time. But she was far better at other things, and music playing just wasn't one of her strengths. Loli and Pop did have strange names, but it would just make things more confusing if she used other names for them while they were wearing their suits. And there were odder names otu there. After all the name 'Duck'(ahiru) was considered an appropriate name for one's child from time to time. So she figured it might seem odd but not too unbelievable. Yui shook her hand before letting go and listening. "Aaah I see. I didn't know they had band practice today. Though I am not in the band so what would I know." or it could be a club, either way the fact she wasn't in any music groups just confirms that she isn't 100% on when they meet anyhow. "So how old are you an yways? I wouldn't be in a rush to get to highschool. It's nice staying a kid." Yui said iwth a grin. "Less you have to worry about."

"I plan to. I'm not really sure what I wanna do...but I know I love playing my flute, and I like making friends, too," she spoke up, a smile on her face. Mostly because she was making a new friend right here and now. Once she got to talking with someone, she was unlikely to not try to become their friend.
"And I dunno if it was band practice or not...I just happened to hear it, I didn't go looking or anything," she added a moment later, though she did wonder if she had ought to. After all, if she went here, she was highly likely to check band out, at the very least...no. It was probably better to just wait; there was no telling how much things, or people, could change between the years it would take before she was in high school.
"Huh? Oh! I'm 12 years old, and I'm in grade 6," she answered the other, a little proud. She would be out of elementary school soon. "...But you are right that it's real nice being so little! Even if things can get so complicated sometimes..." she admitted, sighing a little before glancing over to Pop and Loli. "Anyway! How old are you two?"

"Oh well, I am sure you will figure it out." Yui said as she turned back and noticed Pop getting quite fidgety. He was so impatient. "Yuuuiii weren't we going to get ice cream?" he groaned. "In a minute Pop. Be patient or you don't get any." she said as he crossed his arms and started to pout a bit. "Oh um they are umm...12 to. Though they are mostly home schooled." Yui said as she scratched her head. That would explain some awkwardness...right? Hopefully. They did look about 12 so...it worked. They stared confused for a moment, then Loli realized what Yui was doing. "Yah we learn mostly at home and don't always get out often..." she said with a smile.

"Definitely!" Paige nodded her head, grinning a bit before she glanced to the two other kids, nodding as Yui spoke. "So that's why I haven't seen them around at school before?" she questioned. Homeschooling...huh, she wondered what that was like. Not that she'd ever try it. It was too much fun making new friends! Speaking of...there was an idea.
"Say...do you think I could join you three, maybe? I mean, I don't wanna be a bother, but I like making new friends, especially friends my age! It's really nice to have lots of friends." she said after a moment of thinking it over, looking between all three of them before settling her eyes on Yui. "I'll even pay for myself! I just wanna join you all."
