"Nice try,"
CaptAngemon zips around through the air, having little-to-no interest in those kelpy creatures. They weren't really a threat to begin with, now that he was an Ultimate-level Digimon. Still, their master won't stop generating them until he's gone, so time to push on and try to end this. Get some of that lovely data.
"Grand Crossbones, arr,"
Superheated spheres of water, each one shimmering with a golden light, arrange themselves into a leering Skull-and-Crossbones formation, and then fly towards Sargassumon's pre-existing wound. No telling how much damage it'll cause, but hopefully enough to push this on towards the conclusion. He has no patience for this, anymore.

Sargassumon moaned and roared as the skull-and-crossbones formation tore into its wounded hide. The exposed wooden backbone was vaporized and the blast tunneled deep into the creature, exploding out of its chest as it reared, writhed and waved its limbs in agony. Beginning a ponderous, toppling fall into the water, Sargassumon's body began to fragment and disintegrate into component data. The beast fell, the treasure was there, and Dianne no longer had anything to stand on. Ah. Crap. At least the BriNohemon were gone?
And then the Dutchmon sailed (literally) under them, knocking aside the dissipating remains of the deep monster and providing a deck full of Muchomon to catch their heroine. The ship came around, scattering what was left of the kelp data and floating within easy reach of its combined master. The wheel moved of its own accord, and none of the Muchomon seemed to know how it was moving. That unnerved them, a little. Or maybe it was the sea monster that wrecked their ship.
And speaking of... Who was going to pay for all that? Captain Datamon came pushing through the crowd of crewman, demanding just that. He had just lost literally everything.

Wow...
The sheer power of the angel/pirate hybrid was something to be seen to believe, and it was powerful enough to utterly destroy in one shot the foul monster. It was all nice and all, but what about the surface she was clinging to? The kelp she impaled her trident to cling to the creature was shattering into data and soon she fell along the brinohemons she was kicking away from her. She couldn't tell if they also started to dissipate into data or remained in one piece, but it didn't really matter, she was falling and she might get hurt if she fell in one of the splintered pieces of wood that floated nearby, floating remnants of what once was the ship that brought them.
Fortunately, the dutchmon moved below her, pushing aside the fragments of impaling wood, and she safely landed in the soft arms of her knights in shining armor, the muchomon. What's more, one of the muchomon was gentle enough to pick her nun outfit and bag before the ship capsized, so she didn't lose anything from the adventure ... however, the muchomon and the captain were the ones who lost a lot in this adventure, their ship and source of income.

CaptAngemon comes to hover about six feet above the deck, before there's a flash of light, and CaptainHookmon is ejected from the mix. Lucemon reverts back to his Rookie form as a result of drained energy and grimaces. Despite the power, that felt very odd. He isn't sure he'd care to repeat that experience...at least not too much. He likes Ren Campbell, but not enough to fuse their minds, bodies and whatever else together like that. He's his own 'mon, and he likes it that way.
Setting back down on the deck, he folds his arms and moves to stare out at the ocean again, trying to make sense of what just happened, and trying to recover his energy so he can evolve out of this blasted child-like form again. Ugh.

And... that was that. Sargassumon was gone, Ren had found the CaptainHookmon Ocean Spirit and raised the Dutchmon, he and Lucemon had DNA digivolved. Degenerating back to his own human form in a burst of shimmering digicode, Ren Campbell stared at his hands and his D-tector with wonder and a wide grin. That was it, all right. Except...
"What about my ship," Former Captain Datamon demanded, hands on dome. He'd lost everything.
"Why don't you come to the hold, we'll talk one Captain to another. I happen to know there's quite a few sunken treasures down here..." And down into the hold they went. Their agreement left the ship's hold mostly empty, with just a little leftover to give their development of the C0ve a little boost. Ren, now master of the Dutchmon, took them all back to port at Whitewater City. All involved were offered a warm welcome should they ever find their way to Monmon Island, and a trinket of sunken treasure to call their own.
Ren had what he wanted, now. The Ocean called.
[Thanks you for participating in Step into the Captain's Boots. You are all welcome to and considered honorary members of the Dutchmon's crew. Feel free to join us any time. Each character could find a nice trinket, treasure or item of interest from the hold and can find their way to the C0ve any time, so long as their intentions are good. This Hunt is over. Thank you for participating.]
