Not one, but two Digimon! The brother were surprised to see that Digimon could hatch out of the same egg like that. Sure, Shi had two Digimon, but Elliot and Isaac always kind of figured that he found two eggs or something. They had never seen Digital twins be born before, and frankly they found it pretty cool! Already they were talking, too. It seemed like for newly hatched Digimon, they were all remarkably aware. The two brothers thought to themselves, pondering just what they could say to anybody in this situation. Both the new tamer and her new Digimon had a lot to adjust to, and maybe for the time being it would be best for Elliot and Isaac to keep quiet and give them time to speak among themselves.
"Welcome to the world!" Elliot said cheerfully, leaving them to consider the statement among themselves. The two brothers would be on standby to help other questions, but for now it was all Kaede's moment.

The attention of both Digimon briefly turned to Elliot as he spoke but quickly moved back to Kaede. Both seemed somewhat disoriented but it was once again the furry one who spoke.
"Kaede?" she repeated questioningly while staring at her. "Kaede," she repeated once more, this time with more confidence, evidently approving of her name. The skin around her eyes then crinkled slightly and Kaede guessed that she was frowning. "Me?" she asked, evidently limited to simple, one word sentences. It took Kaede a moment to figure out what she was asking. [/font][/p]
"You want a name of your own?" she guessed and the hairy Digimon rocked forward in her hands slightly, probably the closest to a nod that could be achieved without a body or neck. The second Digimon frowned contemplatively for a moment before smiling and speaking for the first time.
"Ayame," she said firmly, for her voice was also undeniably feminine. Kaede couldn't help but smile at the confidence with which she had chosen her name.
"Alright then. You're Ayame so then for you, how about... Momoko?" she suggested for the hairy one, trying to pick a name that fit with her sibling's. The floral themed names seemed like a good fit to her, even if only one of them appeared particularly plant-like. The less plant-like Digimon pondered the name for a moment before nodding once more.
"Momoko," she repeated happily, prompting Kaede to smile again. It seemed that the first issue had been resolved easily enough and she began to feel hopeful that she might be able to take care of the two newly hatched Digimon without messing up.

"See? You are doing great," Elliot stated. Already, the baby Digimon seemed so comfortable with her. They even had names already! Sure, one named itself, which was kind of new for such a little one, but that was even more reason to celebrate. Kaede had a little genius on her hands! Elliot couldn't help but smile at how much of a connection was already being built up between the group. He wondered how long it would take for them to start hitting all the milestones, like first sentence, first Digivolution, and first fight with a horrifying robotic T-Rex from outer space. All the normal hallmarks of Digital World childhood!
"Just be prepared, because they are going to get much bigger on you soon," Isaac warned. In-Trainings were typically twice the size of little Fresh babies. Rookies could be mistaken for small children, if one had no clue what small children looked like. Very soon they weren't going to be so easily cupped in the palm of Kaede's hands, and Isaac figured it'd be fair warning to let her know sooner rather than later. After all, what if she excitedly brought beds for the Digimon and ended up finding them way too big to fit? It wasn't like young Digimon took long to grow bigger, either. Some stayed small for a few days, others were practically In-Trainings in a mere hour. It'd definitely be something important to keep an eye on.

Kaede smiled at Elliot's reassurance that she was doing well, although she was sure that it was hardly a tremendous achievement. The newly named Ayame and Momoko seemed content to rest in her hands, looking around themselves curiously, so it seemed like a good chance to ask them about what to expect.
"Bigger? How much bigger exacty?" she asked, slightly nervous. They were pretty small now and she could certainly deal with them getting a lot bigger but taking care of two Digimon the size of cars would probably be a bit taxing. And that called to mind the image of two giant sized versions of the two, bouncing and rolling around, leaving havoc in their wake. "Will they grow legs as they get bigger too?" she asked hopefully. A lot of normal animals were born underdeveloped, after all, and grew their appendages as they matured. Hopefully the same was true for these two. A species that lacked any limbs would have trouble surviving for long, after all. Ayame looked like a seed so it stood to reason that she would eventually grow into something else and hopefully that Momoko would undergo a similar growth at some point but she would still appreciate some confirmation that they wouldn't stay like this forever.

"Oh, there is no need to worry! They do not get very big. Maybe the size of a large dog, or a small child?" Elliot suggested. That seemed to be around where most Rookies were. It was certainly around the size of their first Digital forms, around 3 feet each. Elliot wasn't sure if that was an exact science, though, so much as a somewhat hasty guess. If there were two of them, did that, mean they were going to be smaller? He really had no idea what to think about it. It didn't help that a few rookies which they had encountered towered heads and shoulders above the others. The occasional Guilmon or KoKabuterimon passing by in Terminus towered over the rest!
"They might get limbs. Every Digimon is different, so it is hard to make big statements," Isaac added. Kuu was basically a giant, vaguely fox shaped tube sock. He didn't even have much more than little, dangly arms. In contrast, other rookies had fully-formed wings. Some even had high-tech machinery making up their entire bodies! Isaac just didn't know how to properly answer questions like that when Digimon were so nonspecific in form. Most plant Digimon seen walking around Terminus seemed to have legs and arms, but there were some Veggiemon that were basically eggplants with tentacles. They had to hop everywhere! Isaac was pretty sure that he even saw a walking tree at some point. Frankly, the Digital World was madness.

Kaede sighed with relief at Elliot's estimate of the size that Ayame and Momoko would grow to, even if he did sound somewhat uncertain. It would probably be difficult to manage two Digimon of that size, especially if she needed to keep them secret, but it was doable. It was certainly better than hearing that she would have to deal with two creatures the size of elephants. Isaac's input was slightly less helpful but she didn't hold it against him. That she had bumped into two people who were willing and able to provide her with so much information was borderline miraculous and it would be extremely unreasonable to expect them to have in-depth knowledge of every aspect of the topic.
"I see. That should be a manageable size at least," she remarked. "Thank you for telling me, you've really helped to ease my worries," she added gratefully. She found herself idly stroking the two Digimon with the tips of her fingers as she spoke and Ayame had apparently fallen asleep while she was talking. Momoko on the other hand was humming happily as the human's fingertips gently brushed against her hair. The adorable sound sent a wave of pleased warmth through Kaede. She was already glad that she had found their egg, accidental though it may have been.

"No problem," Isaac said, grinning. "If you have any other worries, we will be right here to help. Just remember that for every worry, there is also going to be something really exciting and fun to look forward to. It is quite a mixed bag, but I feel like in the end it all ends up for the better." He had to admit, he wasn't entirely speaking from the most knowledgeable position. The ups and downs of tamers had to be different from the ones of spirit users, and the most he could do was extrapolate from people like Maia and Shi's experiences. Still, he figured having at least somebody to turn to was better than nobody. Maybe later he'd help introduce Kaede to their friends, and from there they could help explain the situation even better than Isaac could.
In a way, Elliot was a little jealous of Kaede's situation. Sometimes, he wished he had a Digimon partner of his own. It was great travelling with Isaac, but it felt like there was always going to be something missing from his Digital World adventures. There wasn't a partner to learn and grow with, and hunting for spirits felt far less natural in comparison. The adventures were really fun, true, but adding a third partner along to explore with would've been so fun. Isaac was a bit more of a lone wolf, and preferred the direct approach heavily. Spirit transformations were perfect for him. For Elliot, someone far too peaceful to directly fight with his full energy?
Oh well. It wasn't perfect, but it was what he had. It would be a disservice to do anything but keep trying his hardest.

"Ah, hold on, I should give you my number," Kaede suggested, the idea occurring to her suddenly that it would be smart to have a way to keep in contact with them. After all, she never knew what sort of emergency might crop up in the process of raising two new-born Digimon and she didn't know anybody else who could possibly help her with such a problem. She was reluctant to be a bother to them but they seemed perfectly willing to fill her in on the situation and there might come a time when they needed her help as well. Unfortunately, her hands were currently full of two Digimon and although they were each very small, she couldn't manage to hold them in a single hand. Not securely, at any rate, and she wasn't willing to risk dropping one of them, meaning it was near impossible to get her phone out.
"Um, I'm sorry, do you think you could hold them for a moment?" she asked bashfully, nodding down at the two Digimon. Not exactly the best start towards not being a bother to them but it seemed wrong to just put them down on the ground or stuff them in her pockets, even if they probably would fit quite comfortably.

"You good with that, Elliot?" Isaac asked cautiously. Elliot's walking stick often made it difficult for him to completely hold things. After all, he'd only have one free hand at any given moment. Would he have properly been able to hold even a tiny Digimon like that? Thankfully, Elliot simply answered with a reassuring smile.
"I should be good," Elliot replied, no hesitation in his voice. He set his walking stick down and sat, so he could give the Digimon his full attention instead of having to juggle them. It wasn't the most convenient solution, but at least it was a good one. Isaac headed over to stand by Kaede and his brother, so that he would be able to pass the Digimon to the Elliot when push came to shove.
While he waited, he wrote down his and Elliot's numbers so he could help give them to Kaede. After all, it wasn't like they'd be able to give their phone numbers out while holding Digimon either. "Here you go," he said as he finished writing the numbers down, prepared to exchange Digimon for phone numbers. If anything, this would be their chance to see if they would be any good with partners and helping out with future Digimon problems, right? Leave a good impression here, and who knows? They might've ended up finding themselves on call as Digisitters.
