Isaac listened, occasionally nodding pensively to show that he was giving the group his full attention. It seemed like the enemy Digimon stopped fighting as soon as it properly recognized Shi and his Digimon. Would the best option therefore be meeting it head on in the light, so that it wouldn't try attacking them first? Or did it have other reasons for its attacking? It seemed like there were plenty of other Megas attacked in the area, though, so either it was overly vigilant about hunting its targets or it had a far more intentional reason for going after its quarry. Regardless, Isaac wasn't entirely sure what to do. It seemed like he would have to just trust Shi and his Digimon on this one, and follow their lead in the end.
"So you are suggesting we dig out hiding spots?" Isaac checked, looking for proper clarification. "That could work! And with there being a lot of us, we could probably split our energy signatures by digging them in multiple spots. I could hide in one, Elliot in the other, and you three in the last of them. Then when he comes around, we watch and see what he is doing. If he looks hostile, boom! We jump out and ambush him! Then when he is subdued, we finally try to ask him just what he is looking for here. What do you guys think?" It wasn't the best of plans, wasn't the worst of plans, but at the very least he tried to come up with something.
Gatomon's comment was very interesting too. "Did you ever hear anything else from him? Or was it mostly just that one word?" Isaac asked, trying to figure out how to add this new clue to the mix.

Shi didn't want to admit it but he couldn't figure this Digimon out, attacking random Megas and not finishing them off? that was strange for several reasons. "Yeah, sorry I wasn't clear I was more or else talking aloud to myself." Yuudai admitted, that was his plan, either that or he could dig up walls in the snow and they could hide that way but that had some problems, not that the other way had problems but still this was the lesser of two bad ideas. "Sadly I cannot think of a better way, looks like we have a plan but still we'll need to wait for Yasuo to recover, neither can reach Mega on their own and when they are separated they can't fight as well." Shi said giving them every reason they absolutely needed to wait until that happened.
"Well to be honest this isn't the first time he's been round here, can't be sure it's the same but before another Alphamon used to come around here with a little kid, I think it's the same one considering I also hear him apologizing for somethin, sorry that's all I can remember." The Gatomon said with a small shake of her head. "Nice kid also, was good for a human." She added sounding a bit sad, Shi noticed the past tense with that but didn't ask what happened, they got some more info maybe he was looking for her or, worse to come the one who killed her.

Oh dear. Suddenly, Isaac felt bad about the idea of attacking even crossing his mind. Such great loss was hard to imagine. He knew if he ever lost Elliot, it would tear him apart. Would he end up going as mad as the Alphamon was, assaulting others in his state of grief? No. No, Elliot wouldn't want him to do that. He'd need to be stronger, strong enough to keep his emotions in check. If worst came to worst, he couldn't let it break him down.
He didn't even want to think about that anymore. He kept his head lowered, hoping that nobody would be able to read the emotions on his face right now. Surely nothing he was worrying about would end up coming to fruition, right? He and Elliot may have been in Japan for good, and with it the dangerous Digital World, but they were going to be okay. They had to be.
"Then it is settled. We find some way to bring him peace," Isaac concluded. Would he have to fight him for it, or would he listen to their pleas right away? Regardless, the idea of there being something even stronger than Shi was scary enough. Something even stronger than the being even stronger than Shi? Isaac knew somehow, this was going to end in a fight. And he knew it was going to be the hardest battle he had ever partook in. No amount of sparring with Alicia had prepared him for this. At least it would be one hell of a story to tell when he returned, right?
"Should we try to sleep soon? I do not know if there is anything else we can do today."

Shi couldn't help but look at his twins, would that be what happened if he died here, if Shi lost his life would they spend the rest of their days looking for who killed them, Thanks to Shi being the person he was he looked like he wasn't worried, scared of anything despite the fact he knew what he was going through, he was about to fight something that beat him so easily last time but this time he was dragging people who didn't need to be dragged into it, Shi pushed these thoughts aside from his mind, he couldn't let that get to him it wasn't right to think that way, there was no can or can't with this fight, he just had to do.
"Yes, we'll do whatever we can." Shi contemplated asking them to leave if things got to bad but for some reason that seemed like a bad idea, it would make him seem like him the elder was just trying to keep younger ones from doing things they could possibly do. "Yeah we should, we'd need all the rest we can get." The Gatomon heard this and decided to point them to where they could stay. "There's a place downstairs and a room upstairs, pick between yourselves which room to take they're both about the same." She said before walking into another room.
Shi picked up Yasuo and Yuudai, he looked at the two before motioning downstairs. "I'll take the one downstairs, a bit curious as what it looks like." Shi said waiting in case they had something to say or deny him, he didn't care either way.

"Then we'll be upstairs. You coming, Elliot?" Isaac asked. His brother, who had just swept a fairly big pile of dust into a dustpan, flashed Isaac a thumbs up before going to dump the dust into the nearest trash can. Content that Gatomon's living space was now sufficiently clean, the boy bade farewell to the talking cat and moved to meet his brother. They climbed the stairs, looking down and calling out "Goodnight, Shi!" before they went. Already they could feel their legs growing weak and their eyes growing heavy, as if approaching the door had a psychological effect on them.
The room was fairly small. Two beds stacked closely to each other, a closed window through which one could hear the howling winds, and a small candle for lighting. Both boys seemed to regress from Digimon to human in unison, flopping on their beds in perfect sync. Isaac, being closer to the candle, leaned over and blew it out. "Night, Elliot," he muttered, far too tired to say much more.
"Isaac?" Elliot asked in response.
"Mmm?"
"Do you think everything's going to go okay today? Do you think we'll be able to help everybody?"
Isaac had no idea what to say. In the dark, with no clocks, the time until his response felt like nearly an hour. "We'll talk about it tomorrow, okay? This is gonna be hard, but I'm sure we can do it."
Elliot wasn't sure if he liked that answer or not, but he still forced out a smile. "Okay then. Goodnight, Isaac!"

Shi gave a small wave to the two before going downstairs hands in his pockets before reaching the bottom, it was not that dark, some candle was there making the room brighter, but not creepingly brighter, all in all it just looked like another guest room with two bed. Shi placed the twins on the other one before getting on his not bothering to take off any of his clothing aside from his had which he lazily threw to the side of the bed. "So this is the weight of a defeat, honestly getting over it faster then I thought I would." Shi muttered out looking over at the twin Koromon for a moment. "But it looks like I'm the only one." The twins looked bad and Yasuo was still breathing heavily which worried Shi more then anything else, would he be ok in the morning?
Shi put his arm up covering his eye with his arm before letting out a small laugh to himself. "Hehe, yeah me a Hero, guess Maia was wrong after all. Heroes don't lose." Shi muttered to himself before closing his eyes and trying to sleep, luckily aside from one loud noise at night which was just the Gatomon hitting a table by accident the night was peaceful.

That was a really loud noise. It'd be a shame if there was a light sleeper in the group, or anything like that.
Elliot found his eyes snapping open early in the morning, stirred awake by the sound of a cat crashing into a table. He tried to fall back asleep, but closing his eyes just lead to him squirming uncomfortably. He tried fluffing up his pillow, humming to himself, trying to count sheep, and everything short of outright taking sleep aid meds. Nothing was working. Every time he found himself drifting off again, thoughts and worries about the Alphamon ran through his head. He hadn't heard much, missing a lot of the finer points about the planning, but did distinctly overhear the Digimon's sorrowful tale while he was sweeping. It made him feel so badly for the creature, and only feel worse about the fact that the current plan possibly involving fighting it.
It was only attacking Mega-level Digimon, right? Surely it wouldn't try to pick a fight with a small child! With that he moved to leave the home, thanking the Gatomon for her assistance after quickly explaining that yes, he was the Strikedramon from earlier. Spirit user stuff was always really important to qualify, so the Gatomon didn't think she was being robbed. Then he started to wander off into the settled snow, leaving behind a conspicuous trail of footsteps and walking stick markings.
Naturally, when Isaac woke up and saw a distinct lack of little brother in the other bed, he started to get really worried. He ran down and started knocking on Shi's door frantically, only the worst thoughts echoing through his head. "Shi, we have a huge problem. Elliot is gone," he said breathlessly, either when Shi opened the door or when he finally ran out of patience with knocking.

Shi got up again not able to sleep, Yasuo and Yuudai were fast asleep and luckily Yasuo's breathing had returned to normal, good for him. Shi sat down on his bed closing his eyes wondering if he should leave before anyone else, he was the only one with a chance of stopping that thing, was it right to drag two kids, younger then him, into this situation? Shi shook his head for a moment, what was he thinking these guys knew what they were doing, kinda sorta maybe? Shi grabbed his hat once again putting it on his head before standing up holding his Digivice in his hand for a few moments.
Shi heard a loud noise and looked at Yasuo and Yuudai, Yasuo was a light sleeper but even he rested through this noise, weird he must of been really tired. Shi ignored it figuring it might of been something falling to the ground or someone hit their leg or something, either way unless someone was screaming he kinda just ignored it for now. Shi took out his drawing notebook and began to draw nothing in particular, just lines that sorta looked like something if you really thought about it for a while.
After a bit of this Shi heard a loud noise upstairs then someone started banging on his door, Shi got up quickly picking up the bag with Yasuo and Yuudai in case he had to move fast and opened the door revealing Isaac. Shi heard what he said from the other side of the door. "He's gone? could he of gone out to find the Alphamon himself?" Shi asked not knowing the kid well enough to know if he'd do this or not. "Reasons aside come on, it couldn't of been that long ago we should go search now." Shi said offering his opinion, Isaac was free to shoot it down if he had a retort, if not Shi would follow him.

"I do not know. But we cannot just sit here while he does something stupid!" With that the worried boy rushed out of the house, hastily thanking the Gatomon and running to try and find Elliot. Thankfully, not much snow settled between when Elliot left and when Isaac did. The tracks were still fresh in the ground, and the presence of a third hole from his walking stick made his movement very easy to follow. Isaac shuffled a little in place as he waited for Shi, preparing to run off in pursuit as soon as he had a chance to explain.
"He has to be this way. With his walking stick, the trail matches him perfectly," he explained as soon as Shi arrived. His voice was a little bit uneven from the nerves, his brain already envisioning all of the worst possible scenarios and playing them out before his eyes. "It does not look like he left very long ago. It could not have been more than an hour or two ago, right? I bet if we go really fast we can find him." Unless excited about something, Elliot tended to be far slower than Isaac. It wouldn't be a very had to close gap, especially if Shi could Digivolve his partners and Isaac could transition into his spirit form.
As they talked, Elliot continued pressing on against the cold winds, doing his best to peer through them and search for the Alphamon. How was something so huge this hard to find?

Didn't Shi just said they should go search? How did that translate to sitting. Shi chucked this up to him being worried about his brother which was understandable. Shi went to follow Issac real quick but he looked at Yasuo for a moment, would he still be able to fight? Shi closed his eyes not knowing if he should put his partner in more danger again it hasn't been that long. "Sorry Yasuo." Shi muttered out, he didn't want his partners getting hurt but he also didn't want Elliot getting hurt. Shi shook his head giving a small wave to the Gatomon as he passed going over to Isaac.
"Yeah, come on lets get moving." Shi said not bringing up the unevenness in his voice, Shi was always calm no matter what but he understood how Isaac would be worried, bringing it up would only make Shi look like a arse right? "Shi? What's going, ahh my head!" Yasuo said finally waking up before wincing in pain. "What happened?" Shi quickly explained what happened, Yasuo looked a bit fallen that he lost against another but hearing about Elliot made Yasuo open his eyes a bit wider. "Don't worry about me, if we encounter him again I can still fight." Shi cracked a small smile at this. "Good to know." Shi told him before following the trail Elliot must of left, it lead from the house no one else could of caused it.
A lone Alphamon stood against the wind unknowingly a bit away from a child, eyes closed lost in thought, a heavy sigh could be heard from him before he began walking away again.

"Ugh, this is all my fault," he muttered upon hearing Shi's concern for his partner. "I should have kept a closer eye on him. I do not know what the heck he has planned, but I wish he would have waited for backup first." Elliot was going to get a really stern talking to after this. Was he worried by all of the talk about fighting the Alphamon? He should have paid more attention to Elliot's mood about the situation. He might have figured if he went alone, he'd be sufficiently nonthreatening. At the same time, if the Alphamon didn't care, he'd easily get killed! This wasn't the kind of thing you could afford to just do in the Digital World, and it drove Isaac nuts that Elliot seemed to think he could pull it off.
Finally, Elliot had reached the Alphamon! Unfortunately, a single one of its tremendous footsteps equaled at least twenty of Elliot's own. The boy found himself hustling after the knight, huffing and puffing a little as he tried to catch up before being left in the dust. Would he be close enough to reach in time, or would he just end up exhausted and passed out in a pile of snow and colossus footprints? Seeing that there'd no way he could catch the Alphamon by running alone, he threw caution to the wind and decided to shout. "Excuse me? Hello? Are you okay?" Elliot asked, his voice ringing loud and clear through the emptiness of the tundra. If this didn't reach Alphamon, he didn't know what would!
Just in case the Alphamon turned around, he kept stock still with his hands high in the air. He didn't want the Digimon to think he was an armed threat, or harboring any secrets. The universal gesture of surrender was also one of harmlessness, right?

Shi shook his head at Isaac blaming himself. "It's not your fault, you couldn't of guessed what he was going to do, if anything it was my fault, had I not tried to fight him you two would most likely of never heard of him." Shi explained to Isaac hoping to save Elliot from a yelling or whatever he had planned for him, but he wasn't wrong in the end tracing it all back it lead to Shi, Shi lost, Shi went with them and Shi didn't keep a eye on the both of them. Had Shi won his encounter this wouldn't be happening right now. "Close the window, I'm cold." Yuudai said in his sleep, he was still sleeping? Wow that surprised even Shi considering they had been outside, rushing ahead.
The Alphamon had heard something small behind him but he chose to ignore it for a moment, it wasn't like what he was looking for was small but it did seem to be followed by it, curious. After hearing something admist the winds that sounded like a voice he slowly turned around wondering what was behind him. When he turned his gaze was met with a small boy with his hands raised in the air, as Alphamon knew the humans way of saying I give up, but what was he giving up on? "Who are you young one? What are you doing out in the cold?" The Alphamon asked now completely turned around staring at the kid. "I've knowledge of a lone digimon who takes in people lost in a storm, she is ." He said before noticing his position, He had walked this area for a long time and knew exactly where he was.
"Exactly the direction you came from." He finished shaking his head. He stopped talking for now waiting for the child to answer or say something, he found this kid no threat deciding he was either lost from his partner or one of those spirits he heard about, the latter more sane the the former in this cold.

"What else were you supposed to do? Just let that Digimon attack you?" Isaac asked incredulously. Frankly, Shi's logic made no sense to him. The guy was ambushed in the snow by a brutal Digimon, and apparently he was just supposed to stand back and not fight? If Yasuo and Yuudai weren't fully evolved, a single hit from that thing could have very well killed them. If they tried to run, they'd easily get lost on the storm. In this situation it was fight or roll over and die. Frankly, the second part would've had Isaac way more worried. Besides, Shi was not his brother's keeper. Neither was Maia, or even Alicia. Even after all of the close bonds he and Elliot had forged with these new friends, in the end the only one responsible for Elliot's health and safety was Isaac. To be more dutiful and more protective in this strange, deadly world was all his job, not anybody else's!
Elliot could practically feel the dawning realization as Alphamon described the exact direction he had come from. A lot of the boy's apprehension melted away when instead of being reduced to a stain on he ground he was instead greeted and regarded calmly. He took a deep breath, planning how to next address the Digimon. He wasn't afraid anymore. He could do this. He wouldn't piss it off and get attacked. All this time Shi and Isaac must have been wrong. Everything was going to be okay. "I know. I came out because I heard you were walking here alone in the snow and got worried. Are you looking for something? Can I help?"

"No, I wasn't wrong in that regard, though if you do recall I was the one looking for him, if anything this situation could of easily been reversed and I got the drop on him." did Isaac forget that Shi told him he came to this place to look for the Alphamon? If so then what Shi just said would make no sense seeing as without that information it looks like Shi was just minding his own business then boom Alphamon strikes. though the way Isaac was acting was making Shi wonder a but about him, he had just met this kid a few days ago once so he didn't know much about him nor did he know much about Elliot but still the way he was acting, the running out before Shi was even ready, the blaming himself thing. Shi shook his head deciding to focus on the task at hand instead of the psyche of another human being.
The Alphamon watched Elliot for a few moments. "What I am looking for is none of your concern nor would your help be required, I'm sorry but what I am looking for is a being of similar strength to mine, a battle would surely be what awaits the end of my search. Knowing this do you believe you possess the strength to assist?" The Alphamon asked curious as to this Human's intentions.

That was right. Shi was the aggressor here. It was a bit hard remembering to keep 2 and 2 together when one was a terrifying dark knight and the other was currently nursing two injured, pink blobs. Still, it wasn't like he had called them in by a distress signal or anything like that. They just happened to be the wrong kids in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they had known about the situation, would they have still gone? Okay, they probably would have. Elliot, as much as he seemed afraid of the Digital World, also seemed to have a huge hero complex. And Isaac tried his best to be strength for others, even if he didn't think he was that good of a guy. "Okay, yeah. You are right. Still, the past is the past. We just gotta keep moving on, right? This is our chance to set the record straight." he asked, hoping he'd be able to at best boost Shi's spirits and at worst just push past this topic.
The dismissal seemed pretty obvious. Elliot was far too scrawny and short to be of any use to Alphamon, at least in his current form. "I don't know," he said, voice trembling. "But I know I can't just walk away if someone is in trouble. Even someone bigger than me, and stronger than me. I'm not too strong on my own, but I have a brother, and a friend. And they might be able to back you up. And, and I can do this!" His hand trembled as much as his voice as he held his Digivice high into the air.
"Order, I am your spear and shield! Come on, Sandiramon!" A cocoon of energy formed around Elliot, purple with a shell-like pattern to it. The cocoon flattened into a dome, which opened into a turtle shell like pattern. From one end of the shell erupted a pillar of light, which tapered off at one end and solidified into a snake-like body. From the other end came the head of Sandiramon, tongue flicking out and jaws hungering. The shell slid back, nestling behind Sandiramon's neck and fusing onto it like a cobra's hood. Where Elliot once stood, now there was only the snake Deva. It was still only an Ultimate in power, but he hoped it would at least convince the Alphamon that he was capable of assisting.
Worst case scenario, he could just vomit up a weapon and toss it over to Alphamon so he could help fight.
