Shi was happy Elliot was at least sorta alright now, truly he was but his mind was elsewhere looking at his Digivice. "Alright what about just a plain old Digivolution." Shi said once again pointing the device yet his request went unheard or just ignored by the device. "Not even champion either?" That part confused Shi more then anything and when Isaac asked about it Shi shook his head. "No, aside from these two being tired from evolving there wasn't anything and I was still able to reach a evolution lower then it. But it's doesn't feel like I'm unable, more like the Digivice is just flat out refusing, though that doesn't make sense in the end." Shi explained, the only times he wasn't able to use Digivolution were when Yasuo and Yuudai were dead tired and could hardly hold their Rookie forms and when Shi just didn't have the device on hand. "Maybe it's because of the type, this is a new Digivice Shi we should get it checked out once we get back to Terminus." Yasuo was right why worry that much about it right now, they'd go get it fixed and everything will be good, he hopes.
Yuudai on the other hand looked at himself even more confused, Shi caught this and tapped the Agumon. "What's wrong Yuudai?" The Agumon looked at Shi before to the ground. "Well you remember how after we got to Ultimate me and Yasuo were able to hold rookie without your help? Well if it's the same I should be able to reach champion on my own also but I can't do that either." This made Shi a bit more confused, was it the evolution in general that he couldn't use or was something else going on? Shi shook his head calmly. "Lets think on it when we get back, it's to cold here and Elliot should most likely get some rest." Shi explained making the twins drop it for now.

"Good luck with it. I'd freak out if mine started failing on me," Isaac commiserated. If he suddenly lost his ability to fight for the people he cared about, he'd be so lost and confused. Scared, even. Shi seemed far less prone to strong emotion than he did, but he still couldn't imagine what must have been going through the other guy's head at the moment. He figured at this point the best thing he could do was just not say anything. There really was no need to rub it in, even if by accidentally trying to help out.
"Yeah. We need to get home and rest. Maybe after that it'll all be okay," he agreed, lifting up the still weak Elliot and moving to walk off. Normally Elliot would've fought and protested, but he was still feeling really funny from the wound earlier. Slowly, he found himself drifting off to sleep as his brother carried him away. "Where to?" Isaac asked Shi, figuring that he'd be way better at giving directions. After all, Shi had more experience, and also wasn't the one currently lugging around an exhausted little brother.

"All I can do is hope it's working." Shi wasn't the first one who would freak out about things like this, however after being told you're being hunted by guys who can use Holo-suits and look like other tamers it sorta makes you that much more worried about the fact you can't use evolution anymore, still Shi would just have to suck it up and hope that someone in DATS or Terminus could tell him what's wrong with his Digivice. "Yeah, maybe." Shi shook his head ridding his mind of those thoughts for a moment before looking around the area.
Their footprints from where they came from were gone now, the battle covered them up but new ones where in the snow leading somewhere, not as fresh as the ones Alphamon had just left but similar size. "I think this way's towards the Gatomon, from there I'm sure she can tell us where we should go." It was their best shot since Shi couldn't pull up the map in his Digivice right now so that kinda sucked.

Isaac was going to go hunting for Elliot tracks, the distinct markings of his walking stick in the snow usually a perfect indicator, but the battle had bungled them all up. Sliding snakes and charging giants completely messed it all up, and the snow overall looked like a bomb had hit it. Due to Myotismon's massive explosion, in some areas that was almost literally true. Isaac peered around and tried to find which way to go, and eventually heard Shi pointing out a set of prints of his own. They weren't the most recognizable, but they were sure as heck better than nothing.
"Nice eye. Hopefully we should be back at Gatomon's shortly," Isaac said. His pace was heavily slowed by having to bear Elliot's weight along with his own, but the boy still trudged through the snow as quickly as possible. He didn't want to risk another attack happening before they made it. With Elliot KO'd and Shi incapable of Digivolving his twins, they were practically sitting ducks. Isaac was confident in his abilities, but not confident enough to fight off who knows how many Digimon with just his battered and bruised Orochimon form.

Shi decided to return his IC digivice to his pocket and brought out his old Digivice looking at it and pressing some buttons, yup still didn't work. Shi gave up on this for now and decided to just go along with the tracks, worse case senario the twins have to fight in rookie form, which wouldn't be that bad, they'd lose but they could at least give everyone time to bounce so that was a good thought, a bad thought would be getting lost like in the woods but Shi couldn't digivolve then also so what's the point of being worried about it now?
Nothing eventful happened on the trip back to that Gatomon's house except in the distance a loud noise could be heard, nothing came of this and seemed to just serve to scare anyone in the area. When they got back Shi knocked on the door and the Gatomon answered looking up at the teen. "Oh you're still alive, so he was telling the truth." Shi wondered what she meant by that then recalled the Alphamon said he went and got something from a Gatomon. If Isaac followed Shi with Elliot the Gatomon would glance behind Shi looking at the hurt kid before sighing. "Guess I should of stopped him when I had the chance." She'd mumble softly to herself before looking back at Shi.
"Do you know the way back to Terminus?" She nodded pointing in one direction. "You just go that way until you hit something that isn't frozen solid, then the town should be easy to spot."

Elliot seemed to snap back to life at the loud thudding noise. He looked around in wide-eyed panic, almost slipping out of Isaac's grip from his thrashing. Not wanting his brother to hurt himself in his panic, Isaac gently tried to quiet him. "Elliot. Elliot, look at me. It's just thunder. You're going to be okay. We're going home soon, and then you'll be able to sleep, and you'll be all better in the morning. It's just going to hurt a while longer now. That okay?" he asked. Weakly, Elliot nodded. Ideally he didn't want to be in any pain at all, but it was way too late for that now. He simply trusted that his brother would do the right thing, and began drifting off to rest once again.
At the cat's sigh, Isaac offered a bemused smile. "Good luck with that. He's pretty mellow usually, but he's a real handful when he puts his mind to something," he explained. It was rare that Elliot got into a strange mood like this, but Isaac was always the one who had to pull him out of the fire afterwards. More often than that, it was Isaac being pulled out of the fire by the cooler-headed Elliot. It just went to show how inseparable of a team they were, and how lucky they were to be able to rely on one another. In cases like this, where one of the two was out of commission, the loss was always sorely felt.
With Gatomon's directions, Isaac politely thanked her and turned to resume trudging his way through the snow. It was all he could really do, wasn't it?

The Gatomon shrugged at Isaac's comment, no one would know but the chances of anyone actually stopping this Digimon, even Shi with Mega, would be a feat all in itself. "Thanks for the help, take care." Shi said giving a small wave, the Gatomon sighed again. "Same to you." She said closing the door. Shi and the twins both started going towards the town, Shi closed his eyes his mind wondering what was wrong with his device, could the Digivice break like that? Did it have something to do with unlocking his true mega form? A bit unfair that he gets Mega and loses everything right after, like someone was toying with him.
The travel was uneventful again, not even a loud noise to shake the group, but that could easily be seen as good. Shi and the twins looked ahead seeing the area change from the frozen wasteland to the broken grasslands of Terminus. Shi paused here looking ahead, he gave a small sigh before continuing onward hoping no one would attack them along the way.

Elliot let out a calm sigh as the cold was left far behind the group, his shivering coming to a halt. It made him a lot easier to carry, so Isaac was very thankful for the climate change. "See that? We're almost there," the boy said, earning a weak smile from his brother in response. It seemed against all odds, they would just have to keep holding on and try to bring this journey to a satisfying halt.
Still, Isaac refused to let himself grow complacent in the lack of apparent danger. Predatory Digimon typically waited until the last possible moment to strike, swooping from the skies or bursting in from heavily-forested clearings. The Terminus Plains lacked anything that could hide an enemy Digimon, but intentions were often tricky to read from such far distance. The boy made sure to never stare at the same place for too long, always swiveling his head around in hopes of catching potential assailants, bandits, and predators. Maybe it was overzealous, but to Isaac there was a paper-thin line between harmless carelessness and a dead brother that he refused to cross.
"No luck figuring things out, huh?" Isaac asked Shi, noticing the other boy falling oddly silent. It seemed that despite waving the issue off, something or another seemed to be weighing on his shoulders. Either that, or he was simply even more quiet than usual today.

Shi looked back at Isaac as he pointed out the obvious, still Shi didn't let it get to him and just let out a small laugh. "Trust me, wouldn't be walking if I figured things out already." Shi joked trying to take away from the seriousness that his Digivice was broken right now, though it was true walking in the digital world kinda sucked, flying around on the back of a WarGreymon, now that's something that Shi liked doing, even though the height made him terrified. What made him even more terrified is that he lost his only source of power, the only thing he could use to protect himself from this new apparent threat. "We just have to take the Digivice to someone and figure this out, it can't just stop working something must be wrong with it, maybe the cold broke it or something." Yasuo said trying to add logic to why this is happening.
"But Yasuo that." Yuudai stopped when he saw his brothers face, he was worried about this, Yuudai knew that most likely wasn't the case but he didn't want to argue with his brother nor add any more worry. "Yeah bro, we'll just take it to someone and figure it out from there." Yuudai said making his brother smile, now wasn't the time to be thinking about worse case scenario, all they could do was hope that this was easily fixed or it came back. "Besides evolution has always come to me when I needed it the most, I'm sure when I need it it'll come." Shi added looking at his pocket that held his Digivice, that was true it always came, when he had to fight he wouldn.

"Heh. Lucky," Isaac said, grinning a little. "I'm a spirit user, so my choices are walk it, walk it faster, or slither. Don't even have a form with wings." As much as he would've loved soaring through the Digital World's skies, for now he was groundbound. Either way, as a spirit user he always had to expend some sort of effort to move around the Digital World. Even flight would be all him straining his wing muscles. Man, how would it even feel having wing muscles? Sometimes, being a spirit user could be so confusing. If it wasn't for seven of his eight heads being puppets as Orochimon, turning into that form would've been the most disorienting experience of his life. Instead, it was just a lot of complex movement.
Isaac liked Shi's idea, even if it was another thing rather foreign to him as a spirit user. For tamers, Digivolution almost seemed like this mythic process that came in times of dire need, bursting beyond the body's limits to rise to the occasion. For him it was a lot more methodical and measured of a process, requiring artifact hunting in incredibly dangerous situations. No matter how much he willed it, or needed it, he would never break through to a higher level entirely by the force of his grit and his determination. He would only be able to work with what he had found, and whether it was enough or not he was sadly completely limited. Sometimes he liked knowing exactly what he was getting into. At other times, he hated the feeling. When you know you can never surpass your limits, running into them headfirst felt like an insurmountable brick wall.
He fell silent, pondering as he walked. The Digital World was really strange sometimes, huh?

Shi looked at Isaac and shook his head when he called Shi lucky, he didn't add anything but really Shi didn't think like that. to him people like Isaac, Elliot and that guy he fought before, those were the lucky ones because they had power, Shi had none he was just the catalyst for the evolution, The moment he wasn't there or his digivice broke sure they couldn't do anything but normal Digimon, they could easily just evolve on whim. "Yeah, lucky." Shi muttered to himself before putting his hands back in his pockets walking on to Terminus soon leaving the area, Shi turned back seeing the same figure he did before, the Alphamon walking the opposite direction but Shi didn't try to get his attention, he had bugged him enough it was time to just go, Shi turned back around reaching in his bag and pulled out the fake Holo-suit of him.
"Shi are we?" Shi knew the end to this sentence and shook his head. "No, we'll investigate this later, for now we should rest." Shi told him before going back to Terminus then home.
(This feels like the end, unless you had a idea then go nuts)

Isaac wasn't in as much of a hurry to leave as Shi was, giving a wave as Shi immediately moved from Terminus to the train station to home. While normally he would've loved to leave as soon as possible, first he needed to evaluate Elliot's condition. He seemed to be doing better since they left the freezing tundra, but he still wanted to be sure before just getting him on a train back home. Gently Isaac set his brother down, the boy managing to find his footing even if it took a good bit of effort. He looked up at Isaac, blinking slightly in discomfort.
"You holding up okay?" Isaac asked, noticing his brother's shakiness and uneven footing. "I mean, at least you seem good enough to walk, thank goodness."
"I'll be okay. That just took a lot out of me," Elliot groaned. He looked down worriedly for the area of the scar, lifting the bandages slightly to peer under it. A cough of disapproval from Isaac reminded him to cut that out.
"Come on, you'll wear them out if you keep checking like that," Isaac warned, fully aware that if it was him badly marred by an attack he'd be frantically checking every five seconds. Often, it could be tricky to practice what you preached, especially when you were as reckless as the brothers were. "You good for the train ride home? I don't want to end up taking too much out of you."
"Please, please, please get me home. I don't think I can take any more of today." The boy's pleading response was all it took to convince Isaac. He turned and moved in the direction of the Trailmon Terminal, keeping his pace as slow as possible to avoid leaving his brother in the dust. It made the walk interminable, but knowing that in the end Elliot would be okay made it all worth it. (Yep, as far as I can see, thread's over)
