"This can't be it."
The shaggy-haired young man sat upright on his bike, admiring the scenery laid before him. He fiddled with his necklace absently, pursing his lips. It was a scene of wanton destruction, of a town swept through by a tornado, and the people had forgotten to pick up after it. Debris and rubble lined the streets, and what few buildings left standing was abandoned and derelict, echoing loneliness at the state of disrepair surrounding them, for not many of their companion buildings still stood untouched by the catastrophe that had happened to this district.
The young man put down a foot to balance his bike, hearing the crunch of broken glass under his boot. He looked up and down the disaster area, finding no other souls frequenting the area. There were signs of attempts to clear the rubble, black-and-yellow tape and signs set up round potholes or collapsed buildings, small piles of dirt and concrete slabs gathered in mounds sitting on one side of the road, but it look like whoever had been involved in the efforts had given up and walked away entirely.
It didn't feel like a bad place, not like a place of bloodshed that one instictively knew to avoid, though he was sure that a considerable number of lives had been taken here. Mostly it felt forgotten. No, that description wasn't entirely accurate- not forgotten, but purposely ignored, like a distasteful sore sight in the corner of your room that you averted your eyes from, refusing to acknowledge its presence entirely. Whatever had happened here, people had been in a hurry to forget it, as was human nature to let go of the bad things and revert to the safety of the normality in everyday life.
Arai sighed, eyeing what appeared to once be a pachinko parlour, before the right wing of the building had collapsed upon itself.
"I ain't gonna be findin' much entertainment here, am I?"

"Well once again here I go."
That was the last thing Dust had said to either of his companions as he slowly rode in on a motorcycle. Having discovered Mega by snapping at others incompetence he quickly found out that he could summon this up whenever he needed to, proved quite useful when he needed to ride around in the human world. Still he had to admit it felt quite odd to come here alone, he had left his mercenary and partner behind due to spreading out and looking, while he doubted he would find anything here he figured a look around would be for the best.
"Come on Dust just look around for a bit And leave." the Holo suited Mega said to himself as he rode on without a helmet nor knowledge that he would need one. Finally he stopped near a large part of a building parking his bike before getting off of it. While he could of easily with a swipe of his hand get rid of it he left it in case he would need a ride out of this area.
He heard the crack of some loose ground as he started walking, that was a bad sign but nothing a Mega would of had to worry about. Despite knowing he wasn't supposed to be here he never got a good look around the area as he followed that last human from before. With a heavy figuring he couldn't find what he was looking for he walked in on hopes that he would be able to at least get a clue of some sort.
Dust held his hand to the broken necklace around his neck looking around the whole area, he had since heard this was once something called the entertainment district, though looking at it now the opposite could easily be said. Dust hadn't assumed anyone was around here and continued walking around glancing every direction with little goal actually in mind"Well once again here I go."

Eleven fallen buildings, twelve fallen buildings, thirteen fallen buildings...
Arai Ran rolled down the streets with his purring motor in low gear, just enough to propel him forward at something barely faster than a walking pace. The bike handled good enough to traverse the debris-laid terrain and cracked roads at his current speed- he didn't want to step on the accelerator, hit a pothole and find himself flying through the air instead.
There was really nothing to be seen, Arai noted, as he counted the buildings in various states of disrepair down the street. Even destruction on a scale like this got boring real fast, he realized, by sheer lack of anything to see, apart from rubble upon more broken concrete. What had caused something like this? An earthquake? He had experienced tremors before back at Kagoshima, and encountered a large one once while travelling round the Tohoku region- he knew the sheer destruction it could cause.
But did Tokyo have quakes like this? There were similar symptoms- the torn roads, decimated buildings, and large pieces of ground simply torn from the land- but something told him there was nothing natural about this phenomenon. Some areas bore scars of greater concentration of destruction than others, in a format that almost appeared intentional, purposeful, whilst others had been left entirely untouched. Arai peered around a wall, which had been scorched black and partially melted to some degree. That didn't look like something a quake would spit out ordinarily.
All of this, of course, were merely transpiring from a plain lack of things to think about. Ran let his mind play around, still rolling around at a lazy gait on his way to nowhere. His first intention had been to hit the fun in the new town- hence the Entertainment District- but now that he had been misled there really wasn't any pressing matter at hand to attend to. Resting his head on his arms folded on the handlebar, head still adrift among the clouds, he didn't see the figure of a second person in this soulless district passing by, not at first.

Dust continued looking around not knowing exactly what he was looking for, it had been his hope and slight fear that he would find the other half of his broken pendant here, which would mean that the one who owned it would be dead among this large destroyed area. But that would also mean a human did once own it which was something Dust needed to know, he had to remember. It drove him, one of the few things that did anymore.
With a grunt he lifted up a large still intact part of a roof on the ground, he held it up for a bit looking under the large concrete part before letting it fall to the ground with a loud sigh, nothing. Dust slowly went back to his Motorcycle nearby when he thought he heard something. He looked up to see another, a human riding towards him. Though while looking Dust had the feeling he wasn't aiming towards Dust just in this direction.
"What's he doing?" Dust asked a bit louder then he meant to. Maybe that would be enough to jerk him back to this world. But it made no sense, why was a human here when this place was supposed to be blocked off.

He didn't actually hear him till he had passed him, but the other person's voice was enough to jolt him back to reality for a second, and Arai Ran whipped his head around, trying to identify the source of the voice. And thus Ran laid eyes upon a plain looking teenager, dressed completely in black garb. He had sleek, pitch black hair combed back in spikes, plain features that screamed ordinary in a way as if it was on its way to mass production, a pale complexion of a moderately tall build. And immediately all that information became irrevelant, as Ran's eyes travelled downwards, and fixed upon this stranger's bike. With a hard pull to the right, Ran swerved around, reversing his direction and stamping onto the gas pedal as he hurried over, to hell with all the dangers of travelling on a cracked and uneven road. He squeezed the brakes and skidded to a halt a meter away from this stranger he had priorly missed, swinging his rear a little inwards as he pulled in. "Wow, mate." Ran let out a whistle, his eyes glittering like a miner spotting diamond ore in a cave as he stared at the impressive dirt-kicker the other was sporting. "Sweet ride." He spoke in the faint accent of his native tongue of Kagoshima-ben, forgetting to revert to the national standard Tokyo frequently used.

Dust watched as the guy went past him, he was going to leave it at that but then he quickly noticed the guy gaining speed and coming back towards him, Dust was about to stand on the defensive but then quickly remembered he was in the human world and that person didnt seem to be riding on a motorcycle from the digital world, so that would make him a human. Still the fact that he so suddenly turned around and started driving faster was a bit alarming at least at the start.
Dust waited until he stopped in front of him eyeing the bike next to the Holo suited Digimon. He whistled before commenting on his ride. "Huh. Oh thanks." Dust said taking a small look at the unknown newcomers own, Dust had for some reason gained the ability to summon his at will. It was obvious this wasn't the case for this person's. "You to." but Dust still returned the comment not wanting to be rude.

Arai let out a goofy chuckle when the black rider returned his compliment to his own bike, bending down and stroking the rumbling frame of the bike with a degree of fondness while his idling engine chugged and coughed like an asthmatic old man. "Oh, this?" He laughed. "Yeah, this baby's all beat-up and unfendered, but it still got some miles to run. It ain't much to look at, and sure, it needs some coaxing, but once you got it in the gear, I'mma talking one-twenty, one-thirty in the wind. Might even give yours a run fer its money."
With that, as if suddenly reminded of his surroundings, Ran straightened and looked from side to side like a startled meerkat. "Well, we ain't gonna find out in bad lands like this." He commented with some relent. "Place's a wreck. N' I thought mah bedroom was bad..."
He shrugged and turned to the dark teenager, still swinging his heavily accented dialogue. "Say, you don't happen t'be from these parts, d'ya? Care to fill me in on what's happened 'ere? I came fer some fun, but so far I ain't got much nothing but rubble, rubble and more rubble."

Dust didnt know about that, mostly since his was made by the power of his own mega form and to his knowledge that was a human motorcycle but still he just gave a small nod never one to be a jerk. With the comment on never finding out Dust gave a more sharper nod before himself looking around the area with a soft sigh. "Yeah it's quite a site." he agreed looking at the destruction, he hadnt heard much but he and Luna theorized that this was caused by a digimon, or some humans with digimon.
But then the question was turned on him, he racked it around his brain before giving a soft sigh. "I know as little as you probably do, I haven't been here long myself and everyone I ask simply doesn't know or what tell me." failing to mention his theories for obvious reasons Dust silently tapped the broken pendent around his neck before turning back to the person.
"Oh yeah, my name's Dust, nice to meet you." Dust said offering his hand but scolding himself mentally for giving his real name again. Still he held his hand out finally learning what a handshake was.
