A normal trip to the library… or is it? (OPEN)

He had no idea why, but he noticed something, and had to call his new friend out on it. "Hono-san, you need to relax, you have been pretty much greeting these two for the past few moments, please relax and think more on what you came here for." he would whisper towards her in a hushed tone. He said this to her just to try to point out how she had been in constant state of greeting since coming back from her book. He did not want to be mean, but he noticed that she had continued to do that. He needed her to back down and refocus. She needed to be relax and interact on an even level with the rest of them, and that would not happen if she remained in a constant state of greeting and introduction.

Towards the professors obsession with cute things, he had split thoughts on it. On one side, he would encourage it since he is also to a point obsessed with cute things, like his Imouto, on the other hand, he worried about him ever meeting her. He did not want him to obsess over his imouto-chan. She was his! Not Hakase's! He would not let Denizen Vhid have his imouto, for that would be wron- wait, wait wait... he had no proof yet that his Imouto would be swayed by the professor, who was such an awesome person. He would have to wait and see.

He was glad the ten year old was able to get along with the professor, and that the furry digimon also was. That was no problem at all for him. "I will indeed just stick to calling you Rena-san then." he would say, getting a random thought of cleavers, but switching that out of his mind instead for the image of the professor sewing up a plushy, and making it the pilot of a robot. That would make sense... could one make a pilot out of a plushy? That was an interesting thought process.

"You are right as usual, Hakase, I shall prepare in my mind the space required to calculate understanding it." he would say, making robotic voices as he went, before giggling lightly. "As with the Hakase, I am also unfamiliar with tamers other than the vision I was shown, and you two young ladies." he would say. He would not open his eyes, in fact, the smile actually looked strained as he wished to show a more perplexed emotion, but could not. Things were still odd, and not quite right in his mind.

”Well, I would like to know about the surrounding areas in general. I mean if there are any dangerous places, things I should be wary off… though what mostly interests me are ruins and strange places. Though if there were some that are advanced technologically then that would be great as well.” Denizen would lightly scratch his chin. Despite wanting to go explore, he knew that there was a lot of danger outside, not to mention for someone without the means to fight a Digimon… Though he assumed that he could put up a decent fight against the lower stages of them… he could not be sure though.

As they talked there seemed to be something strange going on with Denizen’s computer. It looked fine before yet now it displayed symbols arranging themselves into a particular shape. As time passed they became the symbol of the dark area. Once complete it would glow and strange static would be expelled from the screen, the crackling noise inaudible at first but soon getting loud enough to be heard. As the static increased there seemed to be something like a crack in the screen forming. With it a strange mist appeared, which seemed to envelop the group making them see nothing but white. Though it was only in a small vicinity, it would be possible for anyone to get out of it before they’d be locked inside. Denizen would not be as lucky though, as he was the closest to the computer, he was immediately swallowed by the fog.

Those that were swallowed, would see nor hear anything. They would be locked in a plane of grey and white, the clouds enveloping them and not letting go. If they tried moving, then it would be possible, yet they would get nowhere. The whole ordeal would slowly make anyone feel helplessness as they could do nothing to escape once caught. This made Denizen curse, had he noticed the strange behavior of the program earlier, then maybe this could be prevented. He just hoped that the others were all right, he would blame himself if something happened to them.

After what felt like an eternity, the fog slowly cleared. It was a bit dark, but the humid smell of plants assaulted Denizen’s nose right away. Once his eyes got used to the light, he could look around and his suspicions were correct, somehow he ended up in a dungeon. He would have to look around to find the others, but there was something in this place that made his skin crawl and his hair stand on end. Not to mention the pain in his chest was back for some reason. Nothing he could do about it though, for now he needed to get out of there and find the others if they were transported with him.

While the surroundings did not seem like there would be any traps, to the Professor it was a bit too much. The dungeon they were in was similar to many others he was in, in the past. Unfortunately now he was in a place that had different rules than the human world. His instincts were telling him the place was dangerous but not entirely life threatening, at least he did not get that kind of vibe at the moment. Sensing someone close and watching him he turned to look around, fortunately his eyes adjusted to see in the darkness. Denizen was grateful though, it was not that kind of darkness one would be crushed by.

Seeing Mitsuru his mood lightened up a bit. He beckoned the boy closer, he’d then quietly start conversing. ”You all right Mitsu? Seems we are stuck together again.” He’d chuckle lightly with a smile on his face. ”No idea where we are but we should make our way out of here, carefully. Hope the girls are safe… if they got transported with us that is. Though this place is interesting…. Because…” He did not finish, as he faintly heard Hono in the distance.

He looked at Mitsuru and began walking in the direction of the voice, hoping Hono and Luna were all right, that and he hoped that nothing happened to Renamon and Kira as well. ”We need to be careful, but let’s try going fast.” He’d continue on into the corridor, making sure the way was safe and watching out for anything out of the ordinary, like traps or anything special.

Hono and Luna were in a room that looked more like a small broomcloset than a cell, despite the barred passage. The metal bars keeping her in were slightly bent and rusted, while the walls were cracked and there seemed to be some vegetation growing there. However the walls seemed like there was a shelf or two hanging there in the past, though right now, most of them were broken. Her voice echoed in the passage, after that it was quiet. In the distance though she could make out some noises, however they were indistinguishable due to distance. At the same time something fell over behind the girl, making a small rumbling and cracking noise. However as soon as it appeared, just as quick was it gone, afterwards there was only silence.

The room Renamon and Kira were in was rather spacious. The room seemed like a square, though the rubble in the middle of it and on one of the walls made it hard to discern. The ceiling had a hole in it, but it was too small for anyone to fit through. The fox could see a door behind some rubble, but it looked blocked, there was also a cracked wall, with something that looked like thorny plants growing out of it, lastly there was a doorway that was boarded shut, with one or two metal bars sticking out from inbetween the boards. The place was eerily quiet, as if time had stopped. That is what made the call coming from somewhere outside the room even louder and more distressed than it was.

The wooden planks may have looked sturdy enough to not be moved by human hands, however Renamon was not human. The wood easily gave way with enough force and the gap became wide enough to reveal a long corridor behind it. If they choose to remove the rest of the planks then the door would crumble silently, as if the only thing keeping it together were the planks
that blocked it as well. The corridor may be long but at the same time, they would be able to see a slightly brighter place in the distance.

The corridor was also strangely well kept, as if something was taking care to clean it. There was no rubble, though the walls and floor were covered in vegetation, but it was mostly moss and some small, strange mushrooms. Needless to say that a quiet muffled voice could be heard in the distance, yet it was too far away to make out what was said. If light was shone on the walls, then from time to time there could be seen slight indentations in the wall possibly indicating other rooms or passages.

The room became eerily quiet after Hono and Luna stopped talking. After a while the two could hear rustling around them, however it was nothing threatening, as small flower slowly opened. One after one the little blooms slowly shone in a pale blue light, it was not bright but it was if it was answering Hono’s plight. The little blooms looked like moonflowers in full bloom, though smaller than the ones one can normally see growing on Earth.

Her surroundings lit up slightly, she could see what was around her better. What fell over behind her was just a rotted broomstick, while on the shelves various things lay, though most of them were rotted or broken, it seemed like there were some metal bars on the ground. If she looked closely then she’d notice that there were gaps in the door and the wall also looked brittle in some places. The darkness was good at hiding things in plain sight, making things scarier and less accessible.

Peeking around the corridor, the Professor noticed some light flashing in the distance, he had no idea what they were, but gestured to Mitsuru to follow. One cannot be too careful in a place like this, especially when Denizen was feeling something nagging at the back of his head. For now, despite being glad about Mitsuru being safe, he worried about the two girls and their Digimon. While he might not know them long, the Professor felt some kind of connection to them, even more so with the Digimon for some reason.

The stillness in the air and the absence of noise was making him restless. His calm leaving while he stopped hearing the voice in the distance, not to mention the second terrified screen made his skin crawl for some reason. Denizen felt there was something wrong with this place. He had no idea why, but it felt like he was being watched or maybe like dancing in someone’s palm. Not to mention for some reason it felt like this place was something he knew, but that should be impossible…right?

Shaking his head he began moving, carefully walking down the corridor. It was when he saw several flashes of light in the distance. Gesturing to Mitsuru he walked towards them. He was cautious yet impatient, still he tried to make as little noise as possible. After all he had no idea of knowing if that light he saw just a few seconds ago was from one of the girls or from an enemy, it would seem it’s source was just around the corner where he and Mitsuru were heading…
