CRUNCH... SCREEEEEEEEEECH!
Everything was pure chaos. The screeching of rending and grinding metal, the bright flickering of electrical lights shorting and sparking were all that could be seen and heard from inside the locomotive as the trailmon flipped on its side off its rails. The massive digital machine juddered to a halt across the frozen ground, jagged sharp debris spewing all across the formerly near pristine white landscape as it finally stopped just short of a long abandoned village.
An eerie silence fell over the whole area once more, the carnage ending as soon as it started leaving just the occasional sharp crack of ruined electrics and the clang of settling debris. In one of the train cars, a cybernetic figure slowly stirred, pushing away enough of the wreckage to enable her to crawl free, artificial eyes groggily opening as the inbuilt HUD started to access the situation.
"Warning. PCCS offline. Warning, outside temperature, -10 degrees Celsius. Windspeed, 60 MPH. Windchill warning. Armour integrity 62%. Right hand, critical damage. Left leg, critical damage."
She managed to haul herself to her feet, gripping onto the side of the destroyed vehicle to put the weight off her near paralysed left leg. "Hello? Can anyone hear me?"

"Is it just me, or does something bad happen every time we're in the tundra?"
"Eh, no need to worry about it. We're just passing through, right?"
Had Elliot and Isaac known what was about to happen, they would've been having a vastly different conversation. Instead they sat calmly around the booths on the upper right end of the Trailmon, their mutual distaste for the tundra the only black mark on an otherwise pleasant chat between the two brothers. Really, it was a perfect afternoon until something sent the Trailmon spinning through the air at disgustingly fast speeds. Elliot had been taken completely off guard, threatening to lose his lunch as he suddenly let out a scream of terror. The last thing he remembered before blacking out was Isaac grabbing him tightly, one arm protectively wrapped around him and the other holding his Digivice high.
By the time Elliot came to, he was surrounded by blackness. His pulse was pounding, his breath was fast, and horrific grinding, cracking, and screaming sounds still echoed through his head. Trailmon were very fast Digimon, and Elliot was completely unprepared for how it felt when one derailed. In a panic he reached out with both hands, feeling around his surroundings until he noticed that he was touching something solid. This wasn't the inky blackness of unconsciousness, but rather the matte black of Orochimon's scales.
Elliot let out a sigh of relief when he realized that his brother had safely cocooned him from the blow. He had one heck of a headache, and he could feel minor bruising from the snake's tight coils, but he wasn't very injured at all. "That was so close. Thanks for having my back, I-"
His voice petered off as Orochimon's intertwined necks spread open like a lotus petal, each falling to the ground. Where a head would've been, each one only had a stump. Immediately Elliot let out a panicked cry, running to each head and examining them for signs of injury. "Isaac! No, no, no, please. Tell me at least one's still attached," he shouted, voice increasingly desperate as he checked each head. It was at that moment he felt a sudden tap on his shoulder, sending him wheeling around with tears on his eyes.
He had opened his mouth to say something, but it was left hanging open as he saw Orochimon's true head still attached to its eighth and final neck. "Oh man, you should've seen your face," Isaac said, stifling back laughter. He was covered in cuts and scrapes, but was also mostly fine. The shattered ceramics and wooden splinters surrounding him indicated that the seven puppet heads Orochimon possessed were much less lucky. "It's like you saw a ghost!"
Elliot blinked, and then angrily whacked the snake with his walking stick. "That's not funny! I . . . I . . ." He couldn't even bring himself to say the words coming to mind.
Isaac's amused look changed to worry as he leaned down, pulling his brother in for a hug. As a snake with seven severed heads, it was somewhat awkward, but Elliot appreciated it hugely nonetheless. "Come on. You know it'd take a lot more to kill me than that," Isaac said, voice warm and reassuring. "Besides, that's the point of Orochimon. By the time all of those other heads broke, we were pretty much fine. But I don't think everyone else was so lucky."
Elliot looked around, nodding in agreement. He paled as he realized that he was right next to a giant, jagged piece of Trailmon hull. "Oh god, I think that's its-"
"Its a train," Isaac said, suddenly and sharply. He didn't sound very convinced either. "They can fix it. People can fix trains. It's a lot harder to fix other people. You take the ground, I take the skies?"
Elliot nodded. He wasn't quite comfortable with his winged Ultimate form just yet.
"Good. Stay safe, okay?" With that Orochimon was wreathed in dark fire, Devidramon emerging from the flame. He took to the skies and opened a hundred red eyespots along his body, scanning for as many survivors as he possibly could. In the meantime Elliot took to the wandering the scene of the accident, walking stick hesitantly tapping against the ground. Between the abandoned buildings, the fact that he was surrounded in pieces of a dead (or worse, dying) Trailmon, and the sounds of the crash still fresh in his memory, it was a nerve-wracking feeling. His voice shook and cracked slightly as he called out into the wreckage.
"Hello? Is anyone there?"

To say Kira was excited for this large icy place was a understatement, she loved the snow despite never being around it, was one of the only reasons she wore a large green cloak, just so she could be prepared in case anything like that came around, that and wearing shorts all the time got kinda cold so the coat compensated for it a bit, despite the fact it was clearly larger then her body. "Yes, Yes, Yes. Can't wait. Oh do you think there will be snowmen around there? SNOW DIGIMON, That sounds so awesome." This was the type of one sided conversation Kira had with her partner as she went across staring out the window, despite their horrible luck with trains so fact it wasn't like this one was going to be robbed anytime soon, hopefully not.
Nah turns out something worse was going to happen, it crashed. Kira had no idea what happened, she would never fully know since it happened so fast, luckily for the fox that was her partner she reacted far faster then the kid could ever, grabbed the ten year old by the coat and turning around blocking anything that came their way as the large train pretty much broke appart as it came, acting on pure instinct Kira accidentally activated her digivice she had been holding in her hand fiddling with making Renamon evolve to Kyubimon, however that's what did most of the damage in the end.
Kyubi ended up accidentally letting Kira go as the girl was almost smashed and stabbed by multiple things before it stopped, eventually she shut her eyes trying not to look as if doing that would stop whatever was happening, turns out it did as she felt no pain at all, she slowly opened her eyes to see the stuff that was about to hurt her was all gone, vanished leaving the ten year old unharmed. She had a strange barrier around her, blue like the fire that Kyubimon used in her Champion form, she heard a grunt of pain as Kira looked over, and saw something that almost made her heart stop.
There barely holding herself up was the champion level digimon, she could hardly look at the wounded fox hardly standing up, bits and pieces of data slowly rising up as the fox let let herself collapse to her side, one tail was pretty much gone and large gashes over her sides were obvious. "K, i ra. A-re you O-K?" She asked barely getting that out. "Kybuimon!" Kira just yelled as the ten year old ran over to the large fox, not even bothering to answer the questions. She looked over the fox, the ten year old was obviously crying her eyes out at this, on her knees staring at her partner unsure of what to do, so she just cried.
They had been lucky, well just at the end as a large hole was what they fell out of, now Kira and Kyubi were just standing near the crash in the snow, just a four foot tall kid and a giant fox.

"Maybe we should have invited Marshal," Maia hummed, while clicking away at the screen of her phone, gloves bunched up in one of her jacket's pockets so that the touchscreen would work. She really needed to invest in a pair of those gloves with the smartphone-friendly fingertips. "I imagine that he would have loved a train ride through the snow, instead of an avalanche."
To this, the fox on her lap tilted his head, an ever-too-curious tone lighting his voice, "do you think he likes crashes, too?" This was, of course, immediately followed with terrifying sounds, and flickering lights.
Rather than her usual question of 'what?' This time, Maia shot an accusing glare to her Digimon, reaching for her digivice, and inquiring a far-more-important, "why?" Somehow, the little monster always managed to call bad events! How was someone so stupid so observant? Was he just using all of his brain-power to keep an eye on his surroundings?
Without an announcement of any sort, the Rookie hopped off of his tamer's lap, lengthening in a burst of light, and wrapping around her. As the digivolution completed, Quetzalmon pressed his head against his tamer's, trying to engulf her in his armored wings. Blinded to the events around her, all Maia could do was listen to the screaming of metal bending against it's will, and clattering of the world falling apart around her. Still, with a shuffle, she managed one thing. A card slide. "Di--Digi-modify: Ikkakumon's Icicle Coat, activate."
Whether this action was too late or not was a mystery to her, until everything had stopped moving. Kuu had attempted to remain as motionless as possible throughout the entire event to prevent any harm to his human, and a blanket of ice had formed to help shield himself from debri. See? This is what a tamer-partnership is supposed to look like! Now, if only the armored Champion had someone to gloat to!
Oh, also if he hurt a little less, that would be great. Something had already hit him in the head before the modification had fully taken effect!
Finally, unwinding from Maia, the two assessed the damage inside the train. Taking a deep breath, wide eyes flickered to her Digimon. "Why does this stuff always happen to us?" Quetzalmon would have loved to shrug to this, but the serpent simply didn't have the arms or shoulders for it!
"One of us is probably bad luck!" Oh, he could say that again. And again. And... Anyway!
With a little help from the Digimon, the teen found a 'new' exit (also known as a giant hole) in the Trailmon's body. Slipping out first, her partner offered his tail to balance her on the rough step out. Reaching her other hand out to brace herself on the opening of the train, sharp metal dug itself into her skin. Of course. Make it through a potentially deadly accident unscathed. Go to walk out of it? Cut her hand open on a wall. Fantastic luck.
Once outside of the vehicle, the girl took in the snowy surroundings. Oh, this was going to be a cold trip. Good thing she was prepared! Fixing the scarf around her neck, Maia finally reached up to get a better look at her Digimon. Lowering his head to rest between her hands, it seemed that the monster was in relatively good condition. A thin slice from something sharp had damaged part of one of his wings, and a few spots on his body seemed somewhat battered, but... he was still doing pretty alright! "I feel like a train hit me!" Too soon for jokes like that, Kuu!
Not that he seemed to care. Sniffing the air, the Quetzalmon let out a chilled huff. "There are a lot of people around here! Who should we help? I sniff friends! And a stranger! Maybe. I don't know. They're all my friends, anyway!" Well, at least the accident hadn't ruined Kuu's good mood! And, while he picked up an important-person's inquiry of existence, the Armor Champion found more interest in the stranger's call instead. "That-a-way," he nudged, with his cold head pressing to his tamer's face, in some terrible way to display direction.
Following instruction, the tamer walked along the car, until Kuu nudged again, as the Digimon slithered across the snow in snakelike fashion. From where she stood, Maia could see a strange Digimon, seeming to be quite injured. And, of course Maia didn't know much about first aid! "I heard you!" the monster chirped, proudly.
This left Maia to ask the cybernetic Digimon, "are you alright?" Of course not! Most people on this train were almost definitely not alright!

Voices. Seems other people did survive that smash! Getting to them wouldn't be an easy task though, the car Eva found herself in was completely full of various jagged shards of metal, torn up chairs, smashed glass and sparking wires strewn everywhere. A dangerous thing to navigate for someone in one piece, let alone for someone with only one working leg and one working hand.
She switched to thermal imaging, heat signatures of a few people coming in clearly against the harsh ice fields and long abandoned buildings despite the heavy damage causing the image to glitch and distort. Some sort of shape overhead, and two more heat signatures at ground level, one appearing to be lying prone. Eva quickly looked around the overhead compartments, hoping to find a first aid kit, or something she could use to help. There seemed to have been one there at one point, but now, it was likely buried under a mountain of wreckage.
She sighed, looking around. She caught sight of a shattered mirror on the floor, not much use to anyone now but switching to regular vision mode she could see the damage that crash caused. Bloodied, torn up, left protective eye cover cracked, leg leg mangled with the ankle bent at a funny angle. "F**k..."
It was at that moment she finally got a response, looking around for the direction of the noise, the cyborg found Maia. "I'm still in one piece. Just about. I think there's some people who got it worse than I did. I'm going to... Gah... I'm going to check around to see if anyone else made it. If you find anything useful, like a radio or a first aid kit, let me know."
She limped off with a nod to the teenager, clearly more focused on the task of surviving this mess than being social right now as she approached to where she saw the thermal signatures of the kid and the badly wounded quadrupedal figure, eventually hobbling up to them and realising the seriousness of Kyubimon's injuries.
"Crap..." She quickly glanced over her shoulder to where she saw Maia last and called out to her. "Any luck on that first aid kit!? We need it here, now!" She quickly looked back to the critically wounded fox and the distraught kid, softening her tone in an attempt to sound more reassuring.
"It's going to be okay. We need to get inside out of this wind first, and I have someone inside looking for a first aid kit. We're going to make it through this."

As the eye in the sky, Isaac could see pretty much everything from the incident. He could see how far Trailmon had been launched from its rail, and even through the snow and smoke he could make out the glistening pieces of scrap metal that now littered the village outskirts. He could see just how far from the train he and Elliot had been flung, and trails in the snow indicating similar. He could see shadows, some still and some slowly writhing, as their collective moans and groans made the scene of the accident seem like an infirmary.
Had he been an impartial observer, he could have immediately launched into action. However, he was far from impartial. What scared 15 year old could be? Certainly not one who had just noticed somebody very, very important to him on the scene.
Isaac dove so fast he couldn't even stick the landing properly, buckling and sliding as he crashed down to be by Maia's side. Did his arms always hurt this much? That was the kind of injury almost impossible to notice as Orochimon, but as Devidramon the dislocated shoulder he had just picked up on was really starting to smart. Nevertheless he forced himself up, turning to Maia and sighing in relief as he saw that she was unharmed. For the time being he let himself de-digivolve, hugging Maia closely and marveling in the fact that she was okay. It was somewhat of a weak hug due to his dislocated shoulder, and there were cuts and bruises marring his face, but hopefully he would still manage to be a sight for sore eyes.
"Small world, isn't it?" he said, voice slight. Sometimes when chatting about Digital World trips, they realized they were in the same area and had a good laugh about it. This was one of those times, except Isaac wasn't laughing at all. He only wished he knew so he could have helped been there for her. "You okay?"
Of course, after this, he heard a voice calling desperately for a first aid kit. It seemed aimed in their direction and was probably very important, so it wouldn't help to monopolize Maia's time. He sadly smiled at Maia before stepping back and shifting once more into Devidramon, injury and all. "I'll try and keep an eye out from above. Any thoughts on where we should look?"
Unlike his brother, Elliot did not have the advantage of an aerial view. Instead he trudged through the snow, squinting his eyes as he tried to peer through the smoke and mists. Where was he? He couldn't see very well, and he couldn't hear too great over the howling winds, either. At one point he thought he could hear Kuu, but he dismissed it as mere wishful thinking. Having one of his best friends on hand would've been pretty great. Instead he moved toward the only thing he knew for sure; a trio of shadows visible through the mists.
His march towards them was slow and shaky. He hated the snow. When his walking stick wasn't slipping around it was sinking into the snow, and his bad leg always ended up getting all wet due to his inability to lift it for high steps. It normally wasn't much of a problem, but the Digital World didn't seem nearly as concerned with salting and plowing its roads as the human world did. Not helping matters was that he had to travel with utmost care, a close call with sharp, jagged debris reminding him that he really didn't want to lose his other leg. The way forward was dark and filled with danger.
He was aghast to see the identities of the shadows. A little girl? She looked younger than he did! Immediately Elliot's heart swelled with fear as he realized how much could happen to someone so young in a world so dangerous. Especially here, a place where his life was in jeopardy at least three times so far. His concerns only grew worse as he identified the second as her partner, so mangled that she was starting to disintegrate into data. It looked terrifying, and Isaac had to hold back the urge to hurl.
He didn't want to startle the girl. Instead he walked up to her calmly, sitting down next to her and worriedly looking at both her and her partner. "Are you okay?" he asked, voice as soft and light as a feather. As he approached he noticed the third figure, another fox that seemed to be calling the shots here. She shouted for a medkit and Elliot recognized the shadow of his brother taking off into the skies, so it seemed that at least Isaac was in on helping as well. Motivated by his brother taking action and a burning desire to save this dying Digimon, his voice was filled with resolve. "I'm helping too. We're going to save your partner. I promise." There was a slight tremble of fear, but he refused to let it show. This time he was the grown up, and that meant he had to be strong.
He turned to the taskmaster. "What can I do?" Considering Elliot was small, feeble, and sporting a bad leg, he wasn't exactly the most inspiring looking cavalry at a glance. However, the determination in his voice was ironclad.

"We could've avoided this..." It was normally a voice she'd like hearing, ever since she got used to their presence in her mind. Not now though, given his tone. At least it woke her up from the mess she'd gotten into
"Shut up, Sol..." she grumbled back sleepily in response.
"Seriously, why'd you decide to ignore us now of all days?" The other voice that made residence within her thoughts agreed with the previous one. They were irritatingly good at working together on things sometimes.
"You too, Kisara..." Alicia sighed, grumbling more from her spot under a sheet of the wreckage of the crash. How'd this even happen? She'd been growing concerned that her D-Scanner wasn't pinging her for spirit locations in some time, so she'd decided to take a day and scour the digital world for the sake of seeing if there was something she had to do on her end to prompt the next one. Her luck being what it is, she of course found herself on a doomed train. What a nuisance.
... and that thought made all others grind to a screeching halt. Why was she not freaking out from this? In fact, she could feel something wet running down the side of her head. With her free hand she dabbed her fingers on the spot and brought them into view. Yep, she'd taken a nasty looking injury to her head and was bleeding. Why could she analyze that fact without losing her composure? With a hunch in mind, she spoke up again in a fairly even tone.
"You guys are really messing with my head... I was just in a train accident, and I'm bleeding from an injury to my head, and I'm unnaturally calm about this..."
"... That would be my fault, kid... I've been quite literally disarmed too many times to count in my time and have healed up just fine. Disasters like this are kind of status quo for me and that seems to be rubbing off on you." Sol admitted. Too his credit he at least had the decency to sound apologetic about it. Didn't change that his presence was messing with her sense of... well everything.
"Joy..." she mused mirthlessly, before shifting to get some leverage and shoving hard. It took a lot for her human body, but given her positioning she was able to get the sheet of wrecked metal on her to clatter away somewhere else before steadily getting herself back on her feet. "Ow... my whole body hurts..."
"You were semi-pinned under a hunk of metal, what'd you expect?" Kisara quipped. Alicia just rolled her eyes and groaned, starting to walk towards where the others seemed to be gathered.
"Uh... Kid? Your arm's not looking all that good either..." Sol noted, biting his lip at the fact that there was a pretty bad gash on her right forearm. Nothing life threatening, sure, but it was still bad.
"Yep..." Alicia noted. "Kinda hard to ignore how that is hurting like hell too. In all seriousness though, I've hurt worse before. Oh jeez you really are rubbing off on me."
The steel dragon spirit wisely chose to not comment on that.

Kira hardly noticed the two coming closer to her, how could she anyway her eyes full of tears, and mind full of questions. Kira hated this about herself, she hated the fact she couldn't see or take any pain without crying her eyes out like a five year old. Even when her partner was on the ground barely holding on to life just so she wouldn't be alone in the cold she couldn't muster up the strength to do anything. Though what could she do use sign language? That wouldn't help anything at all.
It was then Kira noticed the people around her, she wasn't alone so that was good. One she remembered was the same cyborg digimon she met one time in the park, a Renamon. Which did nothing but make her heart ache even more then before. Then there was another, someone who seemed more around her age, Kira didn't glance up from her partner closing her eyes as he asked if she was alright. She couldn't say anything, or at least she knew she wouldn't be able to say anything coherent while crying that badly so she just gave a small nod saying she was alright.
Looking at her compared to her partner she didn't even seem like she was in a train accident, not even her coat or her hair seemed like it was even moved around at all, her coat was still in the same great condition she kept it in and even if she looked in her pockets her digivice, D-Terminal and even her human stuff was perfectly fine, which made her question what happened even more, she saw something coming at her, she knew she saw it so. Why did it end like this? Where was the object that was going to fall on her.
Kira wondered where they would go to get out of the wind, Kira had no idea but she was slowly shaking. "I, I don't want to leave her." Kira managed to get out, she didn't even notice the cold or the winds she was far more worried about her partner then some stupid wind.
However Kyubimon had another plan for the kid, slowly lifting her head she looked straight at the kid. "Kira, Get out of the cold." She simply said to the distraught ten year old. "Kyubi-" Kira tried to say something but was cut off by the digimon. "I won't die, I promise you. I'm sorry but you're not doing anything sitting there crying." Kyubi told her, Kira remained there sitting before getting up. She slowly wiped away the tears before looking over at Eva. "What, What can I do?" She asked getting rid of the fear in her voice, she had to at least try and do something to help her partner, she couldn't just keep crying.

Quetzalmon stared at the robotic fox, tilting his head. "Some people are definitely worse. I think people died!" There was hardly a pause between that and, "ow!" As Maia slammed her fist into the serpent's side, leaving a faint red smudge across otherwise white plating. Sure, it didn't really hurt Kuu, but the Digimon was going to let her think it had an affect! And, 'ow' was just kind of a response to something surprising him! Also, Maia hitting him was generally a sign that he had said something offensive!
With a nod to the stranger, the tamer began to search through the rubble for anything particularly salvageable. Spotting a box of some sort among a crumpled wall, the girl began to carefully reach her arm around the metal pieces, before something, no, someone crashed down beside her. With a gasp and a jerk, Maia pulled her arm out of the debris, somehow unscathed. Okay, maybe luck was on her side this time! Before fully processing, the girl was already in a hug, and blinking rapidly. "I-Isaac?" Once that had been entirely established, the hug was tightly returned. "I'm fine. Kuu kept me safe."
"And Maia kept me safe!" Kuu boasted, proudly. How often did a Digimon get to say that their tamer actually did something useful? Those cards were so cool! "I thought I heard Elliot. He's here? Do we get to play? I want to show Elliot my 'outfit'!" The Quetzalmon spun in the snow, looking around, before staring at Isaac, "Maia tell you that I got an armor thingy? I can fly!" Headwings flapped, though there was a pause, as the injured wing ceased movement almost immediately. "I'll, uh, show you later! For reasons!" Like that it hurt to bend the flight appendages! Either way, the snake was already busy shuffling stuff around with his nose, and ignoring everyone else.
Opening her mouth to ask about Isaac's well-being, along with Elliot's, Maia found herself growing silent with the call from the stranger again. "O-oh! Hold on!" She called back, spinning to see that Kuu had managed to unearth the box that had caught interest before.
The Armor Champion shouted parting advice to Isaac, in some attempt to take the stress off of his tamer, "check the ground? Or! Or! Make sure nobody got trapped under stuff! It almost happened to us!"
Wait, it did? Maia had been blinded to the majority of the crash, considering she had been literally wrapped inside of an armored monster. Either way, she wasn't going to question it, simply adding a, "be careful," before testing a small mass of broken pieces for stability with her foot. Establishing it could hold her weight, the teen carefully hopped onto the broken metal, before leaning to pull the item from the mess. Oh, good. It was actually a first aid kit! Luck was on her side for once! "We found something."
Lowering his head, the tamer climbed onto her Digimon, to have a safer trip to the injured party. There really wasn't a point to her stumbling through debris and snow, when Quetzalmon seemed to be faster, gliding across the top layer of powder. Upon closer inspection to the crowd, Elliot's shape became clear, and Maia found herself more surprised that Kuu wasn't being obnoxious about his best friend being present. At first, she feared the worst, until she spotted the quadruped that seemed to be quite deteriorated. "What--"
And then Kira fell into the tamer's view. It was more obvious why her own Digimon hadn't been full of enthusiasm. "Kira?" That was the girl's name, right? It had better be, considering it slipped from Maia's lips before she even had a chance to realize she was saying it. Shifting, the girl slid off of the Quetzalmon's side, holding the medical kit up for Kuu to take with his tail, before running over to the tiny tamer, and kneeling a little to check on the child. "Kira, what are you doing here?" With any luck, at least Maia could help keep the little girl settled down. Not that she knew what was happening, of course.
"Probably spending time with her Digimon?" Kuu suggested, with a motion at Kyubimon. It only made sense! Kira couldn't be a spirit user! And, she seemed really in love with that fox!
Amber eyes shifted to the injured Digimon, then back to the first aid kit. "I-I have to admit, I do not see any way that a medical kit from a train is going to help someone that injured." With a soft shake to the box, which rattled softly, the girl looked up to the cybernetic Digimon and then to Elliot, skeptically. "I don't even know the first thing about healing Digimon."
To this, Kuu attempted a shrug again, adding, "someone could always punch me." Now, and alarmed expression was shot to the Digimon, while he still tried to figure out how to shrug while being a snake. Man, this not having arms thing was hard! Whatever. Too much effort! "What? When I get hurt, someone else gets a little less hurt! It's in my data!" How did the armor champion know that? Maia certainly hadn't seen it in action yet! "Unless there's, like, a health potion in there. That would work great, too." Sound advice!

Usually moving someone in critical condition like that is a bad idea, however, if they didn't, she was just going to freeze to death anyway. Eva stopped to think for a moment, evaluating the situation. Frostbite could set in within five minutes in such weather. The other fox was leaking data. Was that equivilant to bleeding out? Would bandages even stop that? Could injuries on a digimon even get infected? The cyborg's knowledge of first aid was only applicable to humans, after all NanoWerx designed those training and testing simulations around human military scenarios.
The cyborg gave a glance to Kuu. His suggestion about punching him in the face was met with a smirk. "Don't tempt me." However on the other hand, the comment about the first aid kit maybe containing items specifically designed to heal digimon gave her some ideas. "Maybe it does have something like that. A lot of digimon use these trains, they must be prepared for such things. Might be enough to stabilise her, but, someone else might have to do it. I only have one working hand right now." She waved her mangled right hand for emphasis. Looked like she punched something with a whole lot of force rather than it being crushed in the wreckage like her leg though.
She took a deep breath, starting to shiver due to exposure to these arctic temperatures. "Okay. Here's what we have to do. First, stay calm. We freak out, we die. Second, get inside one of the train cars. That one there looks more or less intact. Temperature's low enough but windchill's a real factor here. We could get frostbite in just five minutes of exposure. If you can move, great, help those who can't. Third, we need to deal with all these injuries, most severe first. Fourth, we need to try and contact anyone around who can assist. Flares, radio, anything we can use. I'll try and make a fire, should keep us warm and the smoke might get people's attention."
She gave a nod to the assembled group. "We're going to make it through th-" Crunch, whiiiiir! Almost as if in response to this little speech, Eva's damaged leg collapsed, the knee joint shearing with a screech of metal on metal as the digimon barely stopped herself from faceplanting.
"Warning. Left leg knee actuator failure."
She looked down at her broken leg, cussing in English, before looking back up. "I'm going to need something to lean on here."

Isaac sighed in relief as Maia gave her update. She went from unsure if she'd even let Kuu Digivolve to capable of saving his life in a dangerous situation. "Look how far you've come," he said, finding it hard to hide the pride in his voice. "I'm so glad you're safe."
He laughed a little at what Kuu had to say. He really was capable of brightening the darkest days. At this point, he didn't even grate on Isaac's nerves like he used to. "Heh. I bet he'll think you look really cool," Isaac added. Armor Digivolution really was kind of an outfit, wasn't it? It explained why Kuu was a freaking snake all of a sudden.
It would've been really tempting to go for another hug, confirm Maia was here instead of some kind of mirage. Instead, though he got back to work. He had to. The cocoon of light and swirling dragons of darkness surrounded Isaac as Maia told him to be careful. "I will. Love you!" he said as the Digivolution continued, the last words he'd say in his normal tongue before the deep, guttural voice of Devidramon took over. With how bashful he was the first time he said it, he was amazed by how natural of a phrase it became. With that said he finished his transformation, spreading his wings and taking off.
Then someone popped out of the wreckage completely unphased, like a Terminator. Isaac would've been startled if the person shaking off the crash wasn't such a stone cold badass. He figured it was normal of Alicia to just always have a situation like this handled, because she seemed to have every situation handled. That said, it seemed he'd have one more pit stop to make before becoming the medic in the skies.
He touched down behind Alicia, willing to accept the risk of startling her if it meant surprising her with another cool new form. They always seemed to be playing games of oneupsmanship with their newest spirit transformations. "Hey, you okay?" he asked on the familiar yet distinct voice of a newly achieved spirit.
Elliot, on the other hand, was dealing with a lot of people who weren't okay. He smiled weakly at Kira as she nodded at him, glad that she wasn't physically hurt at the very least. Still, she clearly didn't want to move, and she would've caught her death out here if she wasn't protected from the cold. He slipped himself out of the jacket he was wearing, passing it to the girl. "Here, take this. It's a little big, but maybe it'll help."
Eva began counseling the war room, laying out a simple yet in-depth plan on what to do in this situation. Elliot listened intently (with a pause to wave cheerfully at Maia and Kuu as they approached, of course), pondering Eva's suggestions and trying to think of a few of his own. There was really only one step he balked at, anyway. "In the train car?" he asked, clearly aghast at the idea of spending the night on a twisted up Digimon carcass. "I mean, we're near an abandoned village. That might at least have supplies, and beds."
Eva was right, though. Moving the injured would be a bad idea, and Kyuubimon was currently very injured. Whether the comfort of a further away village or the sharp metal necessity of an adjacent train car, she could still get hurt. Then inspiration struck. "Have you tried degeneration? You'll have less complex parts to risk injuring, and you'll be expending way less energy," he suggested. He knew fights that left his Ultimate and Champion forms bloodied and wounded translated to cuts, bruises, and a killer headache in human form. Maybe something similar could help this rapidly dissolving Digimon out.
Then he noticed Eva's knee, and conceded that she needed the walking stick way more than he did. He offered it to her, somewhat shaky as he tried to keep steady footing. Once the transfer was made he stood as straight as he could, dragons of flame and a cocoon of light surrounding him. Where Elliot once stood now stood Strikedramon, a small yet soothing flame coming from the tip of his tail. "I'll try and keep us warm. And safe," he said, doing his best to rise to the occasion.

Looked like she didn't have to wait long to meet up with something. She had just barely heard the demon dragon set down behind her, but it was still enough of a surprise that she jumped a bit when that familiar voice spoke to her, prompting her to turn around and spot the young wielder of Chaos. "Oh, hey Isaac!" she called, waving with her bad arm, which caused her to wince a bit and put it back down. Turning to him would also give the poor kid a look at the streak of red on the side of her head
"Eh, I've had worse happen to me physically. Could really go for a couple of bandages soon, but if others need the help more I'm sure I can just Spirit Evolve to shrug the injuries off until someone can get to me. Or hey perhaps it'll heal the injuries out right. Jury's still out on that one. On the other hand I can't help but notice that my sense of what's actually dangerous or not is really starting to get warped. Which is kinda worrying but oh well. Sol and Kisara are rubbing off on me in quite the bad way in that matter. All in all? Still beats getting nearly gutted by an arrow."
Just like her to quip and smirk in such a situation. "What about you, how'd you get dragged into this mess? I'd ask you what's new but its kind of right in front of my face, heh." She was certainly glad to see a... semi-familiar face right after all this happened. And if Isaac was here Elliot was probably nearby. Seeing as the elder brother wasn't having a panic attack, he must be fine and working to help people out in the crash.
"Let's take this conversation on the metaphorical road, though, things are dire enough as is without us lolly-gagging around and chatting." she finished, smiling a bit brighter.

Kira in her desprate attempt to make herself useful failed, but it did earn her a new coat so win? Then again the ten year old didn't seem like she would be useful despite being the least damaged out of everyone around here, and the fact she was still silently crying wasn't helping out with her whole wanting to help thing. Kira would of muttered something out about the fact she already had a overcoat and the newcomer could have his coat back, But apparently he turned into a digimon so returning the coat might of not been the best idea, would it even fit? Doubtful. Kira simply muttered out a quick thank you, obviously still distraught about everything that just went down in the last five minutes, heck she just wanted to help she wasn't thinking straight.
Then Kira heard a voice that she recognized, even more so then the cyber fox since she had talked with this one longer, heck this was before she was even a tamer. The four foot tall girl simply looked down at her feet as Maia asked what she was doing here, she had the same look as a kid had when they did something they felt was wrong, after what Maia told her about the digital world and how dangerous digimon are, here the ten year old was in the snow next to a destroyed train with a fox that looked like she was about to die.
"I just, wanted to build a snowman." That was more or less the whole reason she came to somewhere this cold, she was going to leave right after since it was very cold, wouldn't of taken long with Kyubimon and if the train was actually working. Granted this was very kiddish she had a excuse, she was a kid. "I'm sorry." Kira muttered out soon after, she should of been smarter then that huh.
Obviously Kyubimon wasn't that keen on people worrying about her, eventually while everyone was focused on one another and the situation at hand she had done what Elliot had suggested, only she had taken it a step further and slowly, very slowly stood up. "Yeah, you're right, gotta get out of the cold." Renamon said standing up straight, her rookie form did look better, if by better it looked smaller. While standing one of her arms just hung down, didn't seem to be on purpose either, she couldn't move it. Her left eye wouldn't open right and she still had several gashes on her body, for all intents and purposes she shouldn't be standing, and she didn't look like she would be for long. "The train cars, might be better. But it'd be worth our time to check the abandoned village." And there go her legs soon after she said that, Kira pretty much lunged at the fox to catch her, it looked very odd that a small four foot girl now had a larger fox leaning on her. "Thanks, Kira." Kira had no idea how to respond to what just happened, WHY DID RENAMON STAND UP!

Providing a few innocent blinks, the serpent chimed, "it's my job to tempt people!" Well, if it was, he certainly did a good job! After all, Maia was in the Digital World! Sure, this wasn't his ideal place, being cold and all, but he would take it! The armor champion tilted his head side to side. "I'm cold!" It seemed that being some sort of snake in the tundra certainly had it's downfalls! Yet, the Digimon retained his current form, just in case.
While Maia initially began to listen to the Robo-Renamon advising the group, she couldn't deny that the 'break' was more than needed, after zoning out part way through. "You're talking too much," she pointed out, with a pause, "in--uh, the nicest way possible." Wow, bad save! Usually, the tamer was better at keeping that kind of statement in! Especially when unwarranted! "It's cold. Everyone's beaten. I can't follow that many instructions at once." Well, nobody could fault her for being honest.
"Maia, it's my job to be the rude one!" Man, the alien sure had a lot of jobs!
The blonde was too busy to even listen to her own Digimon, trying to find something to say to cheer up the child, instead. Putting the first aid kit at her side, the tamer wiped the blood on her hand off on her pants, before attempting to do anything. After all, she vaguely recalled the other girl not being a fan of injuries. In some attempt to distract, Maia lifted her exposed hands up, and wiggled her fingers, beginning the sign for snowman. Visual distractions. If it worked on adults, it had to work on kids, too, right? And, ASL was usually a good distraction on it's own, regardless of if the other person knew it. "Kuu and I will help you both build a snowman after your friend gets patched up, alright?"
Kuu jerked a little, moving to prepare to catch the injured partner, but it seemed that her tamer was already on it. Good job, little tamer person! "You got her, Kira? I can carry her." Shifting, the Digimon wiggled his tail, "I'd help some other way, but I don't have hands!" As if to demonstrate, the fox attempted some sort of 'jazz hands' with the ornament on his tail. Of course, this just looked ridiculous, but at least someone was cheerful!
"The village might be better?" Maia murmured her input on the earlier subject, while fussing with the medpack. She really needed to put on her mittens, but that would make it impossible to do anything with this stupid box! Eyes lifted to look to the robotic Renamon again, "I'm not trying to shut down anything you're suggesting. You clearly sound like you know more about surv--" the tamer paused, making an irritated click with her tongue. This stupid box just didn't want to open! Slamming her hand on one of the clasps on the box, it finally popped open. "Got it," she mumbled, now staring at the contents, and giving up finishing her previous sentence. And, as expected! Nope. She had no idea what she was staring at. "Okay. All I know from a glance is that there are bandages, a thermometer, and a finger splint."
With a pause, the girl delicately reached into the box, and pulled out a tin of some sort of capsules, with a questioning look. "Do Digimon seriously use "H.P." as a term to label medicine?" Sure enough, turning the case to show anyone that cared to look, the little container with it printed in large, red letters. "Or does that mean something else here?" Who knew with the Digital World? After all, "HP" fit the whole digital theme, but Digimon were weird, and for all she knew, they were tiny explosives in a fake medical kit. With this place, it was best to be a bit skeptical!
The armless snake tried to shrug again, not really knowing an answer himself. "Does that mean I don't have to get beat up? I wanna get warm soon." Oh. Oh, yeah. Even with Elliot's ability to make a nice fire now, being a snake was probably incredibly cold!

Eva's confidence in this party of survivors was waning rapidly, although these were just random kids and teenagers, perhaps expecting them to be like Ray Mears and Bear Grills was overly ambitious. With all these injured people, getting to the village like everyone seemed to want to do before frostbite and hypothermia set in would be a long shot, but if they could pull it off an actual brick structure with perhaps a fireplace in it would certainly be better than staying in the rapidly cooling metal shell. "Alright. Fine. Village it is, but we're going to have to move quickly.
She looked to Elliot, who offered her that walking stick. It was certainly a helpful thing right now, but looking at him, it looked like he in fact needed it. "You sure you're going to be okay without this through this terrain? I could try and lock the knee joint into place. I'll be slower, but it'll keep me upright." With that, she lifted up her trouser leg, the warped and distorted metal knee seemingly being held on with just strips of black almost hard rubber like artificial muscle bundles, their wires and linkages severed by impact and jagged metal. "Damn... there's no time for this. We have to move. Now. If you need your stick back, let me know."
"Warning. Core temperature critical. Artificial muscle efficiency reduced by 50%."
Well, that settled it. Eva pointed towards one of the more intact buildings. "That one there. Looks intact." And started heading towards it, damaged leg dragging behind her as she checked the surroundings, and looked back to the group to check if they were keeping up. "Make sure you bring that first aid kit."
