D-Reaper as a Natural Occurence

If its NOT giant eyeball and scythe monstrosities, what am I going on about?
Let's start with how it would form. In a fight between two Digimon of mega level or higher, powerful attacks would bounce off of each-other, and their impact and effects would show up in the 'Digital Frame', or the surfaces and atmosphere of the Digital World. Such high changes in energy in such complexity would create weak areas of data, which would show up as 'corruption'. A similar effect can be seen on a heavily damaged Digimon, as a damaged part would come in and out of phase. But if there's no check or balance, the world would simply become more and more corrupt...
... Which is where the D-Reaper comes in. It is a self-'check' of the Digital World, and in place of corruption, a 'form' of D-Reaper would take hold, either as a red lichen, a fibrous flower, or in extreme cases, a blade or an eyeball in the area. It would affix to the point of corruption and, using that damaged data, build itself up. Burning or cutting away the D-Reaper would reveal that the surface had been smoothed or burnt out.
Benefits
The fibers themselves would have some medical benefit to runaway data corruption, some poisons, and some dark evolutions. Some gardeners would use it to deter foreign vines from entering their area.
Detriments
It burns and is invasive, preventing plantlife from living in the area. Its generally thought of as a pest or weed, and a handful of Meramon have a service removing the darn things, to their roots.
Fire away with suggestions to this. : P
