((ooc: I figured as much.))
"Mimigamon." Celeste proudly stated with a grin on her face.
"I still don't know why your going with that out of all things. Lotmon and Lorriermon sound like better names to me." Pure pointed out with a disappointed sigh.
"No one asked you, now did they?" Celeste then stuck her tongue out at Pure before focusing her attention back on Ghost. "Anyways yes I did. From what I hear. My little brother here has been causing trouble to many people since coming here. All in the name of saving me. Who knows how much damage that's going to do to my reputation in the long run. So of course I'm going to be at least a little p***ed off about that."
"If memory serves. The oasis is near the southern end of town. Which is..." Crystal looked up to the sky to get her barings. After a few seconds of which she pointed off in a direction, "About that way I think. At least if my memory is correct? Honestly Pure would know better then I."
Crystal shrugged slightly as she let the matter go. Turning her attention to the two Gotsumon, she smiled and said, "Thank you very much for your help. We really appreciate it."

(((I had a plan for another subplot but I might just hold off on it, as that would ruin the date, although it would be thematically appropriate given a previous topic in this thread.
However, if you want we could do a bit of world building with how the Hyldens are the way they are. Just to finally put it down on paper/text)))
"I, for one, thing Mimigamon is a fine name. Not sure what a "mimiga" is but, whatever. I just stuck 'Hylden' in front of Impmon and called it a day, heh heh.
But I understand the effects of a sibling's actions effecting one's actions more than you might think." Ghost thought back to her old life, back as the "Original Beverly", when she was considered the black sheep. A family of bounty hunters and mercenaries, and Bev herself had the gall to go around to play "villain".
Ghost went over to a window an looked out it, offering a low sigh those without enhanced hearing wouldn't be able to hear.
"I am curious, though... about your... well, I guess prison is the the best term for it. That Hylden area. Care to fill in some blanks for me, Celeste?" ----
"Right on the Bits!"
"Money bits not any other bits. Boy would it be embarrassing if you misheard that. Anyway, we're glad to help!"
"Yeah! Hope you two have a good outing!"
Sanoske nodded, smiling before heading off. ^Well, they were indeed helpful.^
Meanwhile, as the couple walked off...
"You think that Lopmon understood that guy?"
"Haven't you heard that love crosses all language barriers? They're probably so in love that those growls he does are all he needs to communicate with her."
"But how would he say 'I love you" the first time?"
"I don't know. How did your ex-wife say I..."
"That was a fling. Leave the Seadramon out of it..."

((Uhh... Sure. Just remind me of some of the details of the Hylden realm. As for the sub-plot, I'm tempted to say to go through with it, but I also think they deserve to have a date.
P.S. That Seadramon line made my day.))
Celeste gave Ghost a curious look. "Is that so? What exactly is it that you want to know?" The mimigamon asked, crossing her arms across her chest. Pure (and Mel for that matter) curious about what was going on as well.
Crystal held on tight to her boyfriend as they raced across town. Giggling slightly to herself as they did so. As she liked to point out. Her big ears are more then just for show.
"Those Gotsumon were great.' She told Sanoske with a smile on her face. Looking up, she quickly spots something on the horizon. "Over there. I think that's the oasis." The lopmon extended her hand to point at what she believed to be the oasis she saw in the distance.
((P.S.S Sorry for the rather short post given the long wait. Hopefully I'll have the time to do my next post quicker.))

Ghost clapsed her claws together, although not too hard. Out of consideration for those with enhanced hearing.
"Really, just want to know how you came to be.
Now, this digital world has a number of mysteries me and my mistress have heard and read about. This includes the occasional disappearance of any number of digimon.
There was, however, some mention long ago, I've read, of a town located near the Dark Area, about where the Fragment Village is currently.
Let me guess something based on what I've read... said town was relatively small, but the digimon were at least strong enough to end of your random attacker. Said town was also likely doing some experimentation... am I on the right track?" -----------
Sanoske headed toward the Oasis. If it was damaged during some attack, Sanoske would be hard pressed to see any evidence of it. But as the Gotsumon said, it was restored.
The Gazimon stood by a small lake, looking up and down where the sand met the water.
^Is this feeling what you'd call nostalgia? I am reminded of before we first met Ghost. You and me on that beach...
Although I would have to guess that the mood here is better than before.

Celeste looked to be pretty impressed. Nodding her head some to what Ghost had said.
"Your pretty well researched to have figured that out. And here I thought our past had all, but disappeared from your world."
She then paused for a second. Crossing her arms while she seemed to contemplate on something for awhile. To only then shake her head in slight disappointment.
"To be honest. My memory on those early days is pretty spotty. I'm not sure if it's just because of time, the hylden realm having an effect on my memory, or maybe even both." She sighed deeply.
Crystal looked upon the oasis with a look of complete wonder similar to that of when a child is taken to a theme park for the very first time. It was probably impossible to even make her smile any bigger then she already was. Hugging the back of Sanoske's head and neck tenderly.
"Much better than then." The Lopmon remarked, "Pure is more or less safe. Our task is all the more clear. And I've come to fully recognize me feelings for you." With that she nuzzled the top of Sanoske's head.

Ghost chuckled, largely due to her being on the right track. She continued.
"I can only assume it wasn't a high profile place. Especially one relatively near the Dark Area wouldn't be in the forefronts of most digimon's minds.
Fragment Village is a place where I know a number of mutant digimon live. I am fairly certain it isn't from direct influence from the Hylden, but, for some of the digimon there, it was caused by some aftereffects of what you guys did long ago. But this is pure hypothesis at this point.
Anyways, I'd have to guess that you guys were there a while back, but got whisked away to your "Hylden Area". But why?
Something tells me it wasn't due to some external influence, but from some accident. You don't gain the ability to build a portal to another dimension purely by being stuck somewhere, you had to go in with a fair bit of knowledge and resources.
What experiments were done, I don't know. You guys got stuck in a pocket dimension where the area itself does various things. Enables you to possess digimon, at the cost of being unable to sustain yourself without a host here. You become stronger but lose out on special abilities. Whatever you guys were doing it all went horribly wrong."
Perhaps Celeste or Mel could remember from long ago... works on various additional means of protecting their home. Artificially strengthening themselves, as well as providing themselves the ability to retreat to a safe haven that would produce more protection than a mere wall or shield. And who knows what intent the higher ups may have had at the time... ---
With a soothing growl, Sanoske nodded slightly. ^Yes... I feel like I have... grown... figuratively, since I have met you. And my feelings for you have grown too.
It is nice to be... a part of your life. I hope this does not come out wrong but I would like to always be a part of it.
The Gazimon laid down, wishing he could hold Crystal in his arms, but was still satisfied with her nuzzling him.

Celeste closes her eyes a bit in contemplation. A difficult expression growing on her face.
"You could say something like that." The Mimigamon took a deep breath, "It should be no secret to you that the Dark Area is pretty dangerous. Yet it was also a place we were determined to make our home.
"This was done in various of ways. Like artificial increasing our strength, or by building a safe haven that for us to seek shelter in. One that would protect us more then any wall would." Celeste looked over at Pure with a frown, "I'm sure you could guess what that ended up becoming."
Mel were you one of the ones who...
Do you really want to pull the pin on that grenade? Mel warned his host. More or less confirming Pure's suspicion.
"I hope to always be a part of your life too Sano." Crystal stated lovingly as she stopped her nuzzling just to press her forehead to the top of Sanoske's head. Being careful of her head horns. And throughly enjoying this moment they had between them.

Ghost thought for a few moments about Celeste's last words to her. Not merely to just come up with the answer, but to make sure with herself that the answer made sense.
"So the Hylden area being 'where' it is was initially due to a way serve as a line of defense?
Well, yes, it didn't work out, but even I admit that is ingenious on your parts. My mistress has lived in the Dark Area in her youth, so we know of its dangers. But I guess it's easier to break a barrier than something that isn't there.
And artificially increasing your strength... well, I guess I cannot complain. Not every digimon is gifted in combat.
I guess while trapped the experiments had changed you enough that your bodies are only whole when you're back there. And with you being cut off from the digital world, I am a bit curious as to what happens when one dies...
...but something tells me that line of thought isn't one you're willing to walk through."
While Vetina has told Beverly a bit about the Hylden area, Vetina had no idea what to make of what the Hylden called the 'corpse water'. And as such, Ghost didn't know about it either.
"I'm also going to hazard a guess that the 'possession' ability is due to you guys being 'stronger', and yet outside the hylden world, incomplete. Which allows you to take hold of hosts."
An overly simplified version of an explanation, but not altogether incorrect. Granted, Ghost herself was part Hylden, and the original Beverly was, if briefly before her death, possessed by a Hylden, Ghost had a better feel of Hyldens than most. ----------------
Sanoske gave another affirming growl before looking ahead. He had nothing more to say at the moment, simply taking in this time with Crystal alone (and hoping that his not breathing didn't bother her. Ever since the whole M incident, on occasion he has thought about breathing in some compacity or another.)
Almost on impulse, though, he did breathe a little bit, as pointless for him as it may be.
Also... would this date get boring if Sanoske didn't speak? He wondered what he could talk about. Probably not merely "tell me about yourself". Crystal knew Sanoske for most of his life. Or at least the life he could recall, as outside of events involving Crystal his early life is just a blur.
And Sanoske already knew a lot about Crystal. At the very least, well enough to avoid having her talk about her past.

((Ugh... Sorry for the lengthy wait. My new job has thrown my already pretty busy schedule all out of whack. Hopefully I'll get a handle on it soon so you won't have to wait this long again.))
Celeste gave a curt nod of affirmation to Ghost.
"That's pretty close. I rather not go into all the ins and outs about, but basically, because of the very nature of the Hylden Realm, we're out of touch with this world. Here, but also not. Almost as if our data has been so mutated that it's no longer compatible with the rest of the digital world. In a way. We're kind of like old, corrupted software in a constantly updating digital world. Something, as you might guess, doesn't work out very well for us in the very end.
"However, this corruption in our data is also what allows us to possess other digimon. Essentially using their data to patch our own in a way so as to allow us to sustain being here. And of course there are limitations to who we can possess as those who are stronger, are also much less susceptible to us taking over. Something our enhanced bodies help... Alleviate somewhat on such matters. Allowing us to take full control of just about what ever poor individual unlucky enough to be chosen as one of our vessels. Corrupting their own data in the process."
Crystal looked up to the sky with sparkling eyes. An idea obviously flashing through her mind.
"The sky looks so pretty and clear from here. I think I can see just about every star in the night." She then looked down at Sanoske with a loving smile on her face before suggesting, "How about you lie down on your back, and I lie down on your stomach so we can watch the starlit night together?" Her hand moving to scritch Sanoske softly behind his ear as she did so.

Ghost took a few more moments to take in this information, as well as think up anything else she wanted to ask. But, as far as this subject of the origins of the Hylden goes, she was done with questions at the moment.
"Okay. I think all that satisfies my curiosity as to where you came from. Or at least enough that I think I have a good grasp on it. Thank you for helping me out.
I'm also reconsidering whether or not I should give you some of my data. Again, I apologize for my earlier outburst, but I wonder if my data could help. I am originally a familiar, not a digimon per se. Not sure if that would mean anything.
I mean, science was never a strong suit, hahaha." ----------- ^The stars?^
Sanoske looked up at the sky, his ears twitching slightly in response to the scritching he was receiving. He never really paid much attention to the night sky before.
^Alright then.^
With a smile and a nod, the Gazimon slowly rolled himself onto his back, allowing Crystal ample time to preposition herself. He considered bringing up a staircase again but a part of him didn't want the Lopmon to get off of him, even if it was for a few moments.
Once on his back, he continued to examine the starry sky with Crystal.
^I never really considered looking up at the sky like this.
So beautiful... so serene. So wondrous.
And I guess the sky is pretty looking too,^ garoohhaha.

Celeste paused for a clear minute as she massaged her chin. Obviously she was in some type of deep contemplation of what Ghost had said.
"I'm honestly not sure how that could affect the results. A familiar is not a concept I'm fully knowledgable about. Yet you do seem to be a fully sentient being to me. With thoughts and feelings completely unique to yourself. So it's possible..."
The self-proclaimed mimigamon looked at Ghost once more. Circling around the being as her eyes took in every detail she could find andnthe occasional "Mhm." Probably at some discomfort for Ghost. It definitely caused Pure to feel slight discomfort as he stood there silently, watching the pair.
Celeste then finally stopped in front of Ghost, asking, "Could you explain to me again under what circumstances you gained Hylden data?"
Crystal chuckled loudly at Sanoske's praise. The Lopmon then taking a moment of her own time to get fully comfortable on Sanoske's chest. Slightly melting in pure comfort into his fur and belly.
"Your amazing Sanoske. How in the world was I ever lucky enough to find someone like you?" She asked him lovingly. The stars in her eyes a twinkling reflection of the night sky she looked up at.

Ghost merely stood, letting the Mimigamon examine her. Granted she probably would have been more uncomfortable if she didn't already piece together that Celeste was simply that type of Digimon. Being examined by her wouldn't have been much of a bother.
"It's a bit complicated, this familiar stuff." Given that Ghost has slowly regained the "personality" of pre-Death Beverly, it was hard to say if her thoughts and feelings were truly unique to herself. Just thinking about it made her head hurt a bit. "Now I know how Vetina felt like..." she thought to herself.
"Anyway, my mistress was possessed by a powerful Hylden, who had already possessed and mutated a dear friend of ours. She, in an effort to take out the Hylden, destroyed herself along with him.
I was out at the time and I quickly started absorbing the data... partially out of a panic, as you might figure. With the data I did gather, the rest of the data from my mistress had reformed elsewhere. But that is another story entirely.
'Ghost' is a name given to me because I was little more than a phantom. Unable to physically interact with anything, and able to go through solid objects. There wasn't much to me prior to getting the data. So perhaps I had nothing for the hylden data to alter, and the loose data from my mistress melded and... well, whatever happened, happened."
------
Sanoske had a good chuckle as well, enjoying feeling the small Lopmon getting comfy on him.
^I guess I was never one to say 'it was fate', just a coincidence that we met where we did. So maybe the 'how' was just you being you. I am just the one who tagged along and fell for you. If you were not so kind to me I do not know where I would be now.
...yeah... I do not say it was fate but I would be lying if I said I was not being convinced otherwise.^
His growling was warm and caring, continuing to look at the stars as well as the Lopmon herself. The stars made him feel so small, looking up at them. So insignificant. Not necessarily in a bad way, though
Small...
^I have a random question. If I could change my size... how tall would you like me?
I am just asking out of curiosity.^

Celeste nodded along with everything that Ghost was saying. The scientist holding on to every word that Ghost was saying. Then when Ghost was done, Celeste remained silent for a moment, taking the time to carefully process what she's been told.
"So your basically a hollow shell of data given form by your mistress. And judging from your bond with her, most likely her own data. That would explain why you started absorbing a part her data like that. Scatter pieces of data all seeking to unite in a safe place once again. Turning you into a magnet for some of that wayward bound data.
"As for the Hylden part of you not corrupting you like the others. Well... I'm not sure. It could be that it just had nothing to corrupt because of your rather unique biology. Or maybe it could have lost it's corrupting powers for whatever reason. Like the digital world itself purified the loose data while it was on it's way to the Village of Beginnings. Making sure that the corruption of the Hylden realm doesn't spread through there. At least that's one theory."
This was when Pure stepped in, giving Celeste a questioning look as he said, "That doesn't make sense though. Vetina had absorbed the data of..." Pure paused for a noticeable second, trying to think the best word to use next, "... Her original self. And she most definitely got effected by it."
"As I said before. It's only a working theory right now. Nothing I can directly prove. However the digital world would probably need time to remove the corruption. So if this Vetina had absorbed the data of a corrupted being immediately after they had died. Then the digital world itself would have had no time to fix it. It could also explain how Ghost here was saved from the more negative aspects of the Hylden Realm."
Celeste then seemed to been struck by inspiration. Her eyes returning solely on Ghost as she studied the being in front of her inquisitively.
"Though the more I think about it. It is possible that your mistresses data used you as a filter of sorts. Taking advantage of your unique being to dumb whatever bad data it could before continuing on it's way. Tell me. Does your mistress show any signs of Hylden influence?"
There was a long pause when Nayru looked up at Sanoske. She looked like she was about to answer him, but stopped herself short. Giving his question some legitimate thought.
"Honestly sweetie. I'm not sure. On one hand I love you exactly how you are. Size and all. On the other hand, I do kind of wish I could wrap my arms around you and hug you and do whatever else couples normally do."
A contemplative frown grew on the Lopmon's face as she looked torn. Her body snuggling cozily against the softness that was Sanoske's belly.

"No, there's no signs that my Mistress had any physical alterations due to the hylden data. But the hylden didn't have a lot of time to attempt taking over her body.
And Vetina is a rather unique case. As far as I know, or at least can imply, the original Vetina was an actual digimon with Hylden data. Vetina... the one I know, hasn't really offered me many details about the original."
Ghost thought for a bit before continuing on. "Maybe it's the data of another digimon that can 'fix the corruption'. But, yes, we need more information...
...hm... what was her name again... I think Vetina said it was Lauren... no... Lara. Vetina did say the original had a twin sister named Lara." -------------------
Sanoske raised up an arm and gently rubbed it against Crystal, offering a warm smile.
^I guess I am the same way, honey. Maybe, though, you could digivolve. You'll have more arm to work with for hugging.^Graha.

((Well with the busy holidays officially over. Hopefully now I will have more time to get posts done for you.))
"Lara huh?" Celeste repeated, trying to recall if the name sounded familiar to her, "Well I suppose she could help prove to be the lead we need in figuring this part of the puzzle. Any idea where she would possibly be?"
"Uhh... Celeste." Pure stepped in, as timid as ever, "Don't forget we have a task to focus on already. I don't believe Crystal would fully appreciate going on some wild goose chase in order to search for something that will not assist in separating Mel and myself."
A deep, noticeable sigh left Celeste's mouth. Her head turning from Ghost over towards Pure. Apparently not very appreciative about Pure's comment. "Yet what if this is just the piece we need in order to do so. If this Lara character is indeed the original Vetina's twin. Her data may very well give us the answers that we are looking for."
Crystal just lied on top of Sanoske with a thoughtful gaze. "I... Maybe..." Was all she said as she appeared unsure about Sanoske's suggestion. A small flicker of fear running through her eyes.
That was until she looked back at Sanoske's face and smiled. "Okay then. I'll try." She then began to concentrate on herself. Try to tap into that power at her core that she hadn't tapped into since they were in the Hylden Realm. Then her body began to glow...
"Lopmon digivolve to..." Her entire form began to change and grow. Becoming much more taller and leaner then it was before. Until finally the bunny ninja had fully formed. "Turuiemon!"
The Turuiemon looked much the same as she did when she had first entered the Hylden Realm that day. With the sole exception being the Hylden scar on Crystal's ear, which remained proportionally the same size and shape as it was when she was a Lopmon.
"Well... It's good to know I'm still able to do this after all that." Crystal commented as she looked at her hands curiously. The Turuiemon still laying on top of her boyfriend's stomach as she looked back up over at him, "What do you think? Will this work?"
