Dante's Story
There I was. About to confront Sal about her wedding to Maestermon. When I saw how depressed she looked, well I would like to say it didn't affect me. But I know Sal. She may not be a red head, but she's the most fiery woman I've ever met. I had to hear her side of the story. With Icagimon distracted by Willow, I open up the door to Sal's room and walk inside. There she is, sitting down on the edge of her bed in her wedding dress. "Sal? What's going on?" Sal is startled and quickly looks up. "Dante? Dante?!"
"I came here to rescue you. What are you doing getting married?" Sal gets up and starts taking off her dress in a hurry. "Easy there, what are you doing?" "I'm not going to kick your ass in this stupid dress!" Sal gets down to her fancy white underwear and charges towards me. She punches me in the side of the face with a right hook. Before I know it, she grabs me and slams me down to the ground. I struggle to get her off me, but she wraps her legs around my throat in a triangle choke. As she tightens the hold, I tap my hand on her leg three times to tap out. "Argh, Sal! Let, me, go..."
Finally Sal lets go of the hold. She gets off and offers me a hand to help me up. "Just what the hell are you doing here?!" "I came to talk to you. Why would you be getting married?" Sal's rage begins to subside. She drudges back over to her bed and sits down. "You wouldn't understand. After the Data Core Tournament, Piedmon sent Biyomon and I to this stupid freezing mountain as prisoners, still in doll form. But then Maestermon released me, and now he wants me to be his Queen." "What about Biyomon? Where is she?" "That's the worst part. Maestermon says that she is a creature of fire, and poses a threat to his empire. So he's keeping her locked up in the dungeon."
"So then, why would you marry Maestermon? You as an Ice Queen doesn't make sense." "What other choice do I have? If I refuse, he's going to lock me up, and hurt Biyomon even more. Maybe it won't be so bad, being married to that cold, creepy arrogant idiot!" I look around the room. There's some food set up on the table, and several bottles of wine. "I see, so what's with all the wine?" "Gifts. It's been the only thing keeping me sane. Come, let's have a glass." Sal gets up and pops open a bottle of wine. There's not an extra glass, so I just drink from the bottle.
"Um, are you going to put some clothes on?" "Oh, hang on. I'm not going to put that stupid dress on until I have to. And stop looking down at me!" Sal grabs a blanket and wraps it around her chest. "The wedding will be starting soon... I can't believe it. Here I am, about to get married!" We both sit down on the bed, drinking way too much wine. "You know, I'm really glad I got to see you again." "Well, you certainly had a funny way of showing it." "It's taken you this long to come and find me. I guess you could call it even." Sal finishes the rest of her glass. "I'm sorry Dante. I'm sorry for punching you at the Data Core Tournament. Sometimes I don't even know why I do things." "You seem a lot calmer, all things considered."
"It's probably because I got away from those fools on Team Takashi." "Why was that dumb kid even the leader?" "He had the goggles. I don't even know anymore why I bothered hanging out with team. Other than Digimon, what did we have in common? We were always arguing." "Maybe because they needed you. It's good to be needed, to feel like you belong somewhere. I know from watching you guys, it's a mystery why you weren't ripping each other's heads off. But the four of you have this weird connection. Like four lost souls, who all found what they were missing." "Maybe you're right. I never had a brother growing up, and I didn't have many friends. Maybe they were filling that role in my life."

Dante and Shirou are sitting in the narrator's booth. "And that's when, well..." "Go on..." "You know, I don't think I feel comfortable talking about this part." "Come on, Dante! I wanna hear every dirty detail." "Well, okay." _______________________
It was weird. I saw Sal in a whole new light. Her hair looked beautiful, her eyes were so blue. I wrapped my arm around her. Sal's skin was so smooth and soft. She leans into my chest, resting her head. "If only things were different. If I could go back and do it all again." "But you can't. We can't go back. Do not stress out about mistakes. That's why we make them, so we can learn from them and become better people." "You're right. You know Dante, you actually sounds smart when you want to. Smart, witty, handsome..."
Sal runs her hand along my chest and down my side. She hugs me tight, burying her head in my chest. I run my fingers through her hair, brushing it behind her ear. I was feeling something I have never felt before. Finally Sal sits up, looking me in my eyes. "Dante..." "Sal..." I wasn't going to make the first move, but with Sal I didn't have to. She leans in and kisses my lips. I couldn't believe it. Was I really kissing a bride on her wedding day? Could we have a relationship together? Or was this just the heat of passion? That didn't matter, for now I was going to express my love to her.
After making out, she reaches under my shirt and starts yanking it off. Once my shirt is off, she dives on top of me, letting her emotions run wild. Our hands are all over each other. It was magical. "You have the body of a Goddess." I lean in and kiss her on the neck. Our feet intertwine. It felt like an octopus was wrapping around me. Sal had no restraint. She gave into her desires, with no hesitation. Finally I unhook her bra and- _______________________
The narrator barges into the booth with Dante and Shirou. Hey you can't talk about THAT! "No, let him continue." "Alright, well, I'll spare you the details. But I'm pretty sure you can fill in the blanks from there." _______________________
After a wine-fueled act of passion, Sal and I lay there naked in bed. I light up a cigarette and blow out a big cloud of smoke. "Wow." Sal lays next to me, leaning in close. We were both exhausted, and still pretty drunk from the wine. Finally reality kicks in. We had to stop this wedding and save Biyomon. "I have a plan." Sal gets out of bed and puts her underwear back on. Then she starts putting my clothes on. "Hey, what are you doing?" Sal grabs the wedding dress and tosses it at me. "You pretend to be me. I'll go find Biyomon." "Wait, what?! I'm no bride! Nobody is going to fall for that."
"You are slender enough to pass, and our hair looks alike. With the veil over your face, I think you can pull it off." This was a ridiculous idea. Had I not drank almost an entire bottle of wine, I probably would have declined. But Sal did do something for me, so impersonating her at the alter was the least I could do after the love that we shared. I put on the wedding dress, and it's a little tight around the waist. "Just go down the aisle and stall for time." "This is crazy. I don't even know if my friends are alright." "Just try not to stand out." "I'm the bride. Everyone is going to be looking at me... *hic*"
Sal finishes getting dressed. Before she leaves, she gives me one last kiss. It felt weird. Here I am, kissing a crazy girl wearing my clothes, while I'm wearing her wedding dress. Things like this only seem to happen when I've been drinking wine. Well, crazy things, but not this! I was not looking forward to crossdressing ever again. "You look so beautiful, Dante. Ah haa haha ha!" Sal opens the door and sticks her head out, making sure that the coast is clear before taking off. Eventually one of Maestermon's guards comes for the bride, and escorts me to the ball room. Not before making a change to the music. And so there I was, about to walk down the alter. No one seems to recognize me yet. I could probably keep us this charade, if I wasn't sh!tfaced. (Thinking) "Well, here I go." _______________________
Back in the narrator's booth... And that concludes Leomon's Story, Wormmon's Story, and now Dante's Story. This is where these stories rejoin, as "Sal" is about to walk down the alter. It's good to have my job back. What sort of hijinks is Dante going to get into next?

Leomon and Judith are sitting in the crowd. Maestermon is waiting at the alter, and "Sal" is about to walk down the aisle. The real Sal heads to the dungeons to rescue Biyomon. Wormmon is waiting up in the rafters with the Heart of Ice. Dante stands there in Sal's wedding dress, holding a bouquet of flowers. Music starts playing, but it isn't the usual wedding march. "That's Amore" starts to play. Dante, his back teeth still swimming in wine, prances down the aisle, making a drunken fool out of himself. He poses and moves along with the beat of the music, with his arms stretched out. The audience is befuddled. Maestermon is puzzled as to what is going on. He leans in to speak to the reverend. "How much wine was in her room?!" Judith recognizes the bride's bizarre behavior and choice of music, and the gears click in her head. "Oh my Goddess, that is..." Leomon is as confused as everyone. "What exactly did Dante and Sal do in there?" Finally, Dante reaches the alter, but not before he stops to throw up on a nearby plant. "I demand to know what is going on this instance!" Dante wipes the vomit from his mouth, and lifts up the veil. "That's right! I'm not actually Sal! Ha-ha! *Hic* It is I, Dante! And we're going to stop this stupid wedding!" Dante stumbles a bit, but regains his balance. Even his slender frame was too much for the wedding dress, and it starts to give out at some of the seams. "Guards! Arrest this, crossdresser!" "Hey! I'm not a -*hic* crossdresser! I'm like that Viking guy what's his name. You know? The old, guy in a wedding dress switcheroo!" Leomon and Judith rush up to the stage. "We're here to stop you, Maestermon. So throw all your weak guards at us." "Hmph. A big kitty, a girl, and a guy in a dress. I'm so afraid. Guards!" Maestermon's guards surround the alter, raising their icy polearms. "NOT SO FAST! WU HU HA HAHA HA HAAA!" Wormmon jumps down from the rafters, using his silk thread to bungie jump down before lowering himself next to the others. "I have your precious Heart of Ice! So what are you going to do now, punk?! Never underestimate the Worm King's strategic prowess." "Who are you people?"________________________ That's Amore: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tujMw1NeB-w

The group is quickly surrounded by Maestermon's guards. Sal and Biyomon emerge from the shadows. "The marriage is off, Maestermon. Even if you kill my friends, there's no chance in hell that I will marry you." "Wait a minute, kill us?" "Sal has friends?" Maestermon takes a moment to think. Soon his expression changes to sadistic joy. "I must say, I did not expect this. However, I believe I have an arrangement we can work out. Three fights. If you and your associates can win all three fights, then you are free to go. But if you fail, Sal, you must marry me, and the Heart of Ice is returned to me. Also, I'll throw them in the dungeon and throw away the key."
The group huddles together to think it over. "This is good. We can deal with Maestermon's lackeys no problem." "Are you kidding? There's no way we can trust him." "This is our chance. It's that, or risk an all out melee." Sal walks over to the group. "Well? Are you ready to fight, or not?" "Doesn't look like we have much choice... *hic!*" "We accept your offer, Maestermon. Three fights, all or nothing." "Excellent! You will be my bride. Guards, to the arena."
The group is escorted to a large icy arena. The wedding guests can watch from the bleachers. Maestermon enters high up on a balcony with Icagimon. The group will remain in a covered area when not fighting. "Icagimon, would you be so kind as to fight first? Don't take any chances, you win the first fight and victory is assured." Icagimon bows to his master, and jumps down to the arena floor. "Icagimon's fighting first? This is my chance." "You're still injured, Leomon. You can't fight him with one arm." "Spare me your concern. Icagimon should of drawn his last breath long ago. I will be the one to silence him." Leomon steps out into the arena, staring down the samurai.
...The Digimon is about 7 feet tall, covered in grey and light blue armor, wearing an orange cape. The armor looks like it's been through many battles. By the looks of it, it's amazing that whoever was wearing that armor even made it out alive....
The crowd roars in excitement. Maestermon signals to SnowAgumon to hit the gong. Icagimon draws his sword and holds it in a defensive stance. "You surprise me, Leomon. After all you've been through, and yet still you fight. Such a pathetic beast." "I fight because the world is full of evil." Leomon charges towards Icagimon and throws a big right fist. Icagimon slashes at his fist, slicing the back of his hand. Leomon attempts to duel with Icagimon's blade using only his one good arm, but this proves to be most counter productive. "This is who I've got everything riding on?! He's letting himself get sliced like a loaf of bread."
After suffering several cuts, Leomon is forced to change tactics. He draws his knife and attempts to deflect Icagimon's blade. While the frostbitten samurai gets the upper hand, Leomon manages to deflect a strike, leaving Icagimon open for a powerful roundhouse kick to the ribs. Icagimon staggers a bit, taking a few steps back and returning to a defensive stance. "You can't fight at close range like this, Leomon!" "Well long range isn't exactly my specialty, but I don't have much choice." Leomon returns his knife to its holster. Leomon charges up energy and launches a Fist of the Beast King directly towards Icagimon. The samurai is unable to block the energy attack and is knocked down. Leomon dashes towards him and leaps through the air, pouncing on top of him. Leomon starts pummeling Icagimon with his fist. After the one armed lion lands a few blows, Icagimon manages to knock Leomon off of him. The samurai launches an ice blast from his hand, but Leomon is able to dodge.
"Even in his condition, Leomon is still as determined as ever." Icagimon struggles to rise up. Leomon rushes in for an attack. Icagimon slashes with his sword, but Leomon blocks with his injured arm. He grabs Icagimon's arm with his free hand and twists it back. Icagimon drops his sword. Leomon lets go and grabs Icagimon by the throat, lifts him up and slams him down on the icy floor. Icagimon lays there, slightly flinching. "Is it over?" Maestermon doesn't look worried. All of a sudden Icagimon sits up, and rises to his feet. He taunts Leomon by wagging his finger. "Is that not enough for you? Take this!" Leomon stretches his arms out in the air. Energy starts to spiral around Icagimon on both sides, forming massive amounts of energy in the shape of fists. Leomon brings his arms together, and the energy fists smash into the samurai. Icagimon falls down face first. Leomon picks up his sword and tosses it aside. "Now you've had enough."
Leomon turns to walk back to the group. Suddenly the ice below his feet starts to rise up, freezing one of his legs in place. Icagimon once again struggles to rise up. "Just stay down already!" "Argh, what is the meaning of this?!" "Ah ha ha haha ha. How do you expect to kill someone who is no longer alive? It doesn't matter what you do to my body. My energy will always return." Icagimon slowly walks over to Leomon. He reaches down and draws Leomon's knife, before stabbing Leomon in the back. Leomon lets out an agonizing roar. Icagimon laughs manically at inflicting pain. He slowly jams the knife in further, twisting it back and forth. "Your death will be a slow one."

The group watches as Icagimon toys with Leomon, twisting the knife in his back. With his leg frozen in place, Leomon is helpless to stop the samurai. Finally the pain is too much to bare, and Leomon collapses to the icy floor. Icagimon revels in seeing his assailant humiliated. "You should have expected this, Leomon, but I guess I cannot expect an ignorant beast to know any better. Rushing blindly into battle, even with a missing hand. Let your pride be your downfall."
Judith starts to cry, seeing Leomon in so much pain. Leomon musters the strength to look over to the group. He can feel his data starting to leave him. He had been in many ferocious battles before, but it looks like he had finally reached his breaking point.
(Thinking) "Is this how it ends? This is all your fault, Duskmon. You slaughtered my family and sold me into slavery as a cub, where I became an uncaring beast. My only purpose was to cause further destruction, and it was the only thing that could soothe the pain you caused. And now I have fallen victim to your ally, a foe I thought I had vanquished long ago. Was this part of your plan? If this is how it has to end, then I have to accept my fate. I'm sorry, Judith. I have failed my friends. You were the one who taught me how to confront the hatred inside me. I'm glad I got to spend the latter part of my life as a new being. You freed me from the monster I had become. No, I cannot let it end like this!"
Icagimon places his sword above Leomon's neck. The samurai reaches down and removes the knife from Leomon's back, casting it aside. "It gives me no pleasure in ending your life, pitiful beast." As Icagimon raises his blade, ready to extinguish the light from Leomon's eyes once and for all, a gust of energy expands out from Leomon's body, knocking the samurai back.
Maestermon is frustrated his top fighter has failed to deliver the killing blow. "What is the meaning of this?!"
The group's sadness turns to hope. Judith wipes the tears from her eyes. "Look, Leomon is Digivolving!"
The wounded lion starts to glow bright white. His fur rises as energy continues to radiate from his body. The ice trapping his leg breaks apart, and Leomon rises to his feet. The beast lets out a terrifying roar as his fur changes color. His fur becomes white like snow with a hint of blue. Leomon has become Panjyamon.
Icagimon backs up a few steps, cowering behind his sword as his legs tremble. "This can't be! I had broken your will to fight. You shouldn't have enough energy left to Digivolve!"
Panjyamon turns to face the stone cold samurai. He examines his missing arm, then with a loud roar, creates a new arm made out of subzero ice. "Yes, this will do nicely." Panjyamon glares at Icagimon. "It is not pride that drives me to battle. It's knowing that there are sinister souls out there that must be extinguished. You should have stayed dead after our battle, and now I am going to do whatever it takes to finish you off for good."

Both sides watch on as the Leomon turned Panjyamon squares off with the stone cold samurai Icagimon. Panjyamon takes up a defensive stance. Icagimon keeps his sword positioned in front of him, his armor starting to shake as he trembles in place. They look deep into each other's chilling eyes.
"I don't care what you tell yourself, I'm tired of looking at that mangy hide of yours. Now die!"
Icagimon charges towards Panjyamon and swings his sword down. Panjyamon dodges to the side, then lands a quick roundhouse to the side of his ribcage. Icagimon stagers back, gasping for breath.
"Blizzard Breath!"
Panjyamon breaths out a cold blast of air, surrounding Icagimon in a mist. ice starts to form around the samurai's legs, freezing his feet in place. Panjyamon snarls and licks his chops, then spits on the ground.
"It's been so long since I last Digivolved. Now I have all sorts of new techniques. But I won't be needing all of them to deal with the likes of you."
Panjyamon slowly walks over and stands in front of his former ally. Icagimon frantically swings his sword, but he is just out of reach. Panjyamon grabs Icagimon's arm, twists it down, then hits the samurai in the face with a few right hooks. Panjyamon snatches the sword, then bashes Icagimon in the side of the head with the hilt. Icagimon falls over backwards, laying on the ground as ice crystals begin to form on his armor.
"Bah! You haven't won yet."
Icagimon breaks free from the ice and gets up. He goes to grab Panjyamon, but the beast Digimon picks him up and slams Icagimon on the ground.
"Had enough?" "Ha ha, it doesn't matter what you do. You can mutilate my flesh, but my spirit is bound to my armor. I will keep getting back up, and eventually you will tire from exhaustion. Maestermon will have his bride!" "Is that so? Then I guess I have no other choice."
Panjyamon reaches down and lifts Icagimon up by the collar of his armor. Panjyamon thrusts his ice cold claw straight into Icagimon's chest. The samurai coughs up blood, and his body goes limp. As his body is regenerating, Panjyamon lets out a ferocious roar, as his data begins to spiral around his body.
"What's Panjyamon doing?" "I think he's... sacrificing himself!" "No! He can't do that!"
Judith leaves the safety of the covered area and rushes out towards the middle of the arena. She is tossed back by a wave of energy and knocked down.
"Panjyamon! You can't do this!" "I have no other choice, Judith! The only way I can stop his spirit from coming back is if I sacrifice my own. It's the only way." "Leomon... don't do this! You've come so far since I first met you. Don't let your hatred consume you. You've changed." "I must do this. I must finish off Icagimon, and destroy Duskmon's power once and for all. Thank you for making the last year of my life so wonderful. You freed me from my internal struggles. You taught me how to see the world in a different light. Dante, Wormmon, Judith... Thank you. Remember me for the Digimon I became, not for the animal that I once was."
Energy continues to spiral around Panjyamon and Icagimon. Their bodies start fading away into data. Icagimon's body turns to dust, and his armor falls to pieces. Panjyamon struggles to retain his data, but his physical form fades away into a stream of data.
"He's gone... He sacrificed himself to rid the Digital World of a great evil."
Judith sits there on the cold ground, as tears pour down her face. Dante, still wearing the wedding dress mind you, walks out towards his sister and give her a hug.
"I know, sis. I will miss him, but no one will more than you."
Maestermon approaches the edge of his balcony and claps sarcastically.
"Impressive. Your pet cat defeated my most noble soldier." "There was nothing noble about Icagimon. He was a murderer, a mercenary." "Be that as it may, he was a valuable ally. I find myself at a loss for words. I didn't expect Icagimon to fail me. You have won the first fight, but there are still two more to go, and you have to win both of them." "Well Wormmon and I want your ass in the ring, so get down here so we can smack the smugness off that pretty face of yours."
Sal, still wearing Dante's clothes, speaks up from the dugout.
"If anyone is going to beat Maestermon, it's going to be me and Biyomon!" "Mmm, so much passion from such a weakling. Face it, you can't resist being with me even if you tried. You will be my bride... Guards, bring out my insurance policy."
Dante escorts Judith back to the dugout.
"Looks like we're up next, little buddy." "You mean we don't get to fight last? But we're the coolest ones here. Well I am anyway, huh huh." "Coolest? Frosty ass up there might disagree." "Just get your butts in gear and get out there already!" "Fine! So bossy. I wish we didn't crash your wedding. You could have marries Frosty the Ice Princess for all I care."
Wormmon crawls out to the center of the arena.
"Alright, bigshot! Now you have to deal with the Worm King! And I've been freezing my stinger off since we got here, so whatever joke you wanna send out to fight your battles for you, hurry it up so I can see Sal shove a snow globe up your backside!"
