Do A Little Turn On The Catwalk (Asher)

Yay, people thought this job was good! Especially since Isaac had a rough start! Who the heck got the crazy, angry lady on their first shift, anyway? At least it didn't look like the trainee was going to quit at the end of his first shift. Score! He could rub this in some of the maid's faces. After all, Asher was pretty sure there was a bet going on about how long the kid would last. There usually was.
"You really don't have to pretend that you aren't related to give a good review," the teen smiled, throwing a glance at Isaac. "We really don't care if all of your relatives fill out reviews, honestly. The only time those things really matter is when you've done something wrong and the owner has bad reviews to use as ammunition." That didn't sound like a fun time! Luckily, it was a rarity. Most people liked maid cafes, after all!
And, the job was brother-approved, it seemed! That was always important! "You can make sure he's doing alright as often as you want. I'm sure Isaac will fit in just fine, though!" Or, at least, hopefully. If not, he was going to have to have yet another talk with the other workers about being friendly to the fresh meat. Asher wasn't going to try to think too much on that right now, though. Dealing with childish people could get incredibly stressful!
Yellow eyes shifted to Isaac, still cheerful as ever. "So, do you think you're doing alright, adjusting here?" After all, if Isaac actually didn't like it, there was no point in forcing the job upon him.

"Wait, really? Darn," Elliot said, after knocking out another croissant like the goddamn Terminator. "Darn. I was hoping people would see this big 5-star review on his first day and go 'Wow, this guy's really going places! Lets give him all the money!' But hey, if it doesn't matter than I can totally drop the terrible acting." He seemed relieved, as if he had honestly been straining to put forth that meager effort. "I hope they don't already have ammo against my bro, though! He's not that much of a disaster, I promise!"
Isaac wasn't entirely sure how much was going on as far as fitting in was concerned. Especially when so far, most of what he had seen from the others was smug looks and suspicious giggles. Asher was the friendliest one here so far, and Isaac was still mildly concerned that he'd end up finding Asher's hands firmly on his rear if he dropped focus for a second. It certainly wasn't the smoothest and easiest of transitions, even if the owner had seemed fairly understanding during the interview. It probably didn't help that Asher had implied that there was a decently high turnover rate, further backdropped by offhanded comments from the other employees about "another one."
But as Asher looked to Isaac to ask his opinion, his eyes flashed. Elliot had a feeling he knew what this meant. "Oh boy, don't try and challenge him," Elliot warned. "Then he'll never leave you alone!"
Sure enough, Elliot had captured the gist of what Isaac was thinking. He smiled slightly in response to Asher's question. "I can't say its been easy," he admitted. "And I kinda get the feeling today's just the tip of the iceberg for that. But you know what? The work's fun, and I'm sure the people here are really cool once I get to know them, too. So I'm not just gonna let a bumpy first day get in the way of this for me." By now the slight smile on his face was clad in iron determination, and if Asher had any doubts about how Isaac felt he hoped they would be eased now. " 'Sides, there's still so much cool stuff to learn, right? Why would I complain when I'm not even done training yet?"
Yep. If anything, adversity was just gonna make Isaac flourish more here.
By now, Elliot had taken down all but one croissant. "Oh! Do you have any requests for the next story I'll be sending in? I'm kinda having a bit of writer's block, and I was hoping some suggestions would give me a nice boost," he asked. Surely, it wasn't a coincidence that with Isaac being a bit more scarce the past few days Elliot's Digital World time had drastically went down.

Wait, Elliot had actually been trying to act? The redhead cringed slightly at the thought, but tried to give a reassuring smile. "Oh, yeah. You almost had me fooled," he managed. Of course, that was beyond an exaggeration. After having already met them, it was pretty hard not to know they were siblings, and it was even harder to take that knowledge away. "I'm sure there's nothing worse than anyone else has on their first week." Emphasis. Week. With crazy lady, it was hard to say if that would end up being bad for both the trainee and his mentor. But, Asher wasn't overly worried about that.
At least Isaac seemed to be pretty alright with the job. That was a good sign. "Well! Some people come in thinking they get to wear cute outfits, then they find out that it's an actual job, involving real work!" Shocker, there! "So, it's always good to check." After all, what was the point in continuing training if Isaac didn't like his job? Luckily, that didn't seem to be the case.
"Like I said, there's always a chance you'll get the better customers, constantly." A chance didn't mean it was entirely likely, though! Especially if the teen decided to quit after the holiday season! Though, Asher would surely try to persuade the boy to stay. "And, at least you're not wearing the pajamas!" With the comment, the manager reached over to lightly tap the bell on his trainee's neck.
As the jingle rang, Asher swore he could hear some of the girls, at one of the nearby tables, giggling about the duo. Now, if only Isaac wasn't so anti-physical contact! Darn it!
But, what was this about story ideas? "Oh, I don't know! I'm awful at creativity!" It involved too much focus! "Maybe something about a warrior, off to save, uh," Asher cringed, looking between the siblings, "his brother from a dragon? Not your typical damsel-in-distress story-type-thing! Right?" After all, there weren't any damsels in that story! Unless, gasp! What if the dragon was actually a damsel in distress?
Okay, he was getting off-topic, within his own head. "See? I'm so bad at ideas!"

"Yeah. I really did, didn't I?" Elliot asked. No. No you didn't, not at all. "Seriously though. I know I'm not great at it, but I had to at least give it a shot for my big bro. Right? I mean, I'm sure if your job depended on it, Piper would do the same for you." It seemed the bros were on the same train of thought pretty often, or at least were when it came to the subject of brotherhood. One of the four participants in this analogy being a sister instead changed nothing! "Certainly wouldn't go for it in a career, though. Isaac's way better at it than I am. You should hear how amped up he gets when he's all wrapped up in a narrative!" he said. From bedtime stories to their Digital World adventures, that was a constant about Isaac for as long as he could remember.
Well, dressing up in cute outfits was the most of what Isaac first assumed about the job. But he also figured it included character work, even if said character was "you but sexy," and that took way more effort than a lot of people would dismiss it as. He was certainly glad he and Asher were on the same page of the matter, at least. As much as the older teen seemed to hate taking things seriously, being a big brother and being gainfully employed seemed to be top priority for both of them. "Even when you're prepared, you'd be surprised how much work it is," Isaac warned. "So no, you don't just get to sit around in a pretty dress eating cakes and playing video games."
Elliot actually looked disappointed to hear that. "Aw! But that sounds like my dream job," Elliot whined.
"Hey. Come on, you're the one with the brain in this family. Put it to work, okay?" Isaac said, a bit of earnestness lacing his teasing. "Just 'cause I can only get a job because I look cute doesn't mean you need to drag yourself down with me." At this point, it wasn't even clear if the brothers were mocking each other or themselves at this point. Their taunts and barbs were slowly melding into each other.
At Asher's comment, Isaac's confident smile kept on holding fast. "And hide in the break room until only the nice ones pop up? That wouldn't be fair to anyone else. Nah, I'm gonna step up to the plate no matter what it takes," Isaac stated firmly. A small blush spread across his face as Asher rang his bell for him, much to Elliot's laughter. Did Asher seriously have to keep doing this? Although considering Isaac was more exasperated than irritated at this point, maybe it was working. ". . . Even that."
Elliot tried not to laugh too hard, though. He'd miss some quality story advice! "Oh, I've already covered that one a ton," Elliot said. "I mean, I can't always have my characters bail their big brothers out of trouble. But thanks for the suggestion!" Isaac sure seemed to get captured a lot, didn't he? It gave Elliot plenty of fertile ground for storytelling, but it was starting to get really cliche. At this point Elliot was starting to hope the next time Isaac got captured would be a bit more interesting!
"Hey, why do I always gotta be the damsel?" Isaac protested.
"Well, duh. You're shorter," Elliot replied, matter-of-factly. Considering Elliot's bad leg usually made the difference hard to see, that might've been news to Asher!
"By, like, an inch."
"Shorter's shorter!"
"And the fact that you've literally dressed like a princess doesn't count for anything?"
"I bet you could pull it off if I could get you to try!" And then Elliot had an idea. He slowly turned to Asher, a grin spreading across his face.
"Elliot, no."
"Elliot, yes!"

Why did the siblings thing that they had a similar dynamic between Asher and his sister? "I can tell that neither of you talk to Piper," he pointed out after a short pause. Her? Act for his sake? Ha. Hahaha. That was just great. Yeah, that wasn't happening. The closest she ever got to acting was a deadpan voice and, 'I don't know him.' Which, Asher was well aware was to save herself, and certainly not help him at all.
Man, sitting around in a dress all day and eating cake did sound like a pretty great job. Except for the breeze. Still, he had to raise an eyebrow at the customer, "your dream job involves wearing a dress, huh?" Oh, Elliot might not be able to hear the end of that one! Even if it was all in play!
The redhead gave a wide grin at Isaac's willingness to remain at the business, even if it meant dealing with bell-jingles all shift. "You might get used to it!" Or even grow fond of Asher being... himself! Okay, that might be a stretch, but it was good to remain hopeful, right?
Listening to the brothers go back and forth, Asher awaited some sort of input to properly react to. It seemed, dresses was the right cue. "A dress? Not a cat?" After all, he had to throw Isaac some sort of bone, here, right? The kid was already dressed up as a kitty! Though, he supposed he could be a kitty-lady?
"We do have a Princess Peach-type princess dress. Or, just 'cute' maid dresses." Unfortunately, no kitten princesses! But, he was a butler! He had to give options to the young master, if he wanted to see people in dresses! Sadly for Isaac, there was no protecting him if this was what Elliot wanted! "I'm sure Isaac would look great either way. I'd even do his makeup for him!" Okay, that was a lot less helpful for Isaac now. Oh well! It would be more fun for Asher!

"Hey, I study with her," Elliot protested. "I mean, she really cares about you a lot, right? Even if its in kind of a prickly, elbow-y way sometimes." Harsh but true assessment from Elliot. Then again, it wasn't like Asher talk dominated their conversations. That was usually science and math. And muffins. Between that cafe and this cafe, it was becoming clear that Elliot had a new favorite type of establishment.
At Asher's teasing mention of the dress, Elliot shrugged. "They feel freeing," he admitted, completely straight-faced. However, his peaceful expression gave way to a rare bout of irritation on his part. "I mean, I'm totally fine with it for costumes and stuff. As long as somebody asks about it with permission first." That was a very, very pointed somebody on Elliot's part, enough to send a brief chill down Isaac's spine. He was fairly certain even someone as "oblivious" as Asher wouldn't be able to miss a jab that well-aimed.
"Do I got a choice?" Isaac asked towards Asher's next comment. Which comment? Well, it really applied to either! Whether Asher's shenanigans or the fact that he was about to have to wear a dress in the next five minutes, the moral of the story was adapt or die. Isaac had even less interest in the latter than he did in the former. Especially when Elliot had his hand hovering over his wallet, clearly thinking over his options. "I think the maid dress sounds just fine," he finally concluded, voice singsong. " 'Sides, a princess dress would cover up the collar too much." Just when Isaac thought he'd be able to get away with slipping the damn thing off, Elliot decided to throw that curveball at him. "I know, bit wild for a first day. But then you'll be prepared for anything that'd come next, right bro?"
Isaac sighed. There were way more professional roles that had way worse dress requirements. Like that nightmare he had about being Peter Pan. If he couldn't handle a little bit of ribbing from his little brother, how would he ever step up to the plate on the big time? He smirked at Elliot, responding "You're on." With that said he boldly made his way to the changing room, Elliot nodding in approval at his brother's courage.
Of course, if Asher went to check on Isaac at the changing room, he'd hear a much different tune being sung behind closed doors. "There's no way I'm walking out like this," he mumbled despondently.

"I don't know. I think she liked me more when we were kids!" The truth was out! Though, really, Piper didn't hurt the teen in private. But, she was way too busy with school to spend time with him, either. Studying really wasn't something that they could even begin to bond over! Ah well, it wasn't like Piper could get rid of him now! They lived together!
How someone actually seemed to like dresses was beyond the young man, however. And, the jab was even more confusing. "Permission?" It was awfully hard to forcibly dress someone up! What, ever, could the boy be referring to?
Just like Isaac's comment. What could he be talking about? "I'd like to think everyone has a choice in everything!" It's just that one choice involved quitting their brand new job! And nobody liked that idea!
Asher did like Elliot's optimism toward the total torture of his brother, though! It was better to prepare for the embarrassing situations around people that he knew! Right? Though, Asher actually had to disagree with the prior sentence. For him, a crowd of strangers was better than a small group of people that actually mattered. But, hey! This was great practice for embarrassing roles on stage!
Rocking on his heels, the butler hummed a little while Isaac went off to change. He wasn't going to just follow straight in! The kid would need a little privacy! "I'm sure he'll make a pretty maid," the redhead smiled to the younger of the brothers, before excusing himself to finally go check on Isaac.
"Of course not!" Asher was quick to agree. "We haven't put on any of the finishing touches!" After all, there was a need for at least a little makeup, and the teen would have to go over the dress to make sure it wasn't bunching up anywhere that it shouldn't. "Are you just going to use your regular hair? We have a couple wigs, and I think some clip-in extensions that should match your hair, for a more realistic look. May as well go all-out, right?"
For a second, the teen debated on altering sentences to come off as a challenge, but maybe it was best not to break the newbie. After all, he had made it so far into his shift!

As Isaac walked away, Elliot shot Asher a bit of a concerned look. "Wait, really?" he asked. "Why's that? I mean, you're her brother!" Not that being someone's brother meant you always agreed with them. He still remembered the one time he was truly furious with Isaac, the day when they found out they were staying in Japan. He was sick of it all. He was sick of the changes. He was sick of the lies. He was sick of the Digital World. And he just wanted to run all the way back home, even when it was so far across the sea. He stuck it out and talked it through with Isaac later, but the bile in his throat still burned him to this day. "Have you talked to her about it? I mean, that always helps when we fight . . ."
Oh, Elliot, you little worrier.
But Asher had a job to do, so Elliot would totally understand if he only got to hear the cliffnotes version. Especially when that meant he'd be having a "new" "maid" visiting his table quite soon!
Asher seemed to agree with Isaac's worries, but the end result would be primping him up even more rather than easing up on the pageantry. Figuring that if he didn't open the door Asher would, Isaac eventually relented and let him in. As he opened the door Asher would see the boy looking quite different. He was fiddling with the hem of his dress irritably, as if convinced it would be lopsided no matter how much he tried to adjust it. The back was currently unlaced, beyond a messy attempt on Isaac's part of trying to get the dress to stay up. He was casting baleful glares at a pair of thigh-high stockings, as if unsure if he would need to put them on or not. That was opposed to the cat ears and collar, of course, which were still right on his head as if he had never taken them off.
"So, how do I look?" he asked shortly after opening the door. While clearly unenthused with the concept, at least he was putting forth the effort! "And I guess for extensions and all that, I'll let you pick. You're the expert here, after all."

The red-head shrugged, still smiling at Elliot. "Things change over the years!" Like their living situations, and an obsessive mother that didn't belong to the girl at all being... well, crazy. It really was nothing that Asher could blame anyone for. "What's there to talk about?" What was the kid worrying about? It wasn't like the siblings had a fight! "We're, like, three years apart? It's normal to do our own things." Like sleep all day, or obsessively study! The most they really bonded over was dinner, really. There was no time for anything else!
In the changing room, the manager was glad that Isaac would just kind of let him in. It would be really awkward to try to see the situation, otherwise! But, there was no way that he could be prepared for any of this. "You look, uh," a small laugh escaped the teen's throat, before it just turned into him trying to cover his face. "Hah, uh, heh, yeah, you wait there," he managed out, hurrying from the changing room for a few moments.
Just enough time to collect a couple of items, and calm himself down.
Returning with what amounted to a fluff of white fabric, with a splash of black laying on top of it, the young man offered them out to Isaac. It seemed to be a petticoat and black stockings, rather than the standard white that the boy had previously obtained. "Tulle for fluff," so that the boy would stop fighting with the hem, "and black stockings to contrast! ...And to make your legs less, uh, masculine." Hairy man-legs were not really a preference in skirts, the teen assumed! Black would cover that up way better than white!
"Okay, now that I can kind of look at you," without wanting to cry from laughing, that is, "I'll help you out with the lacing, too."
Of course, that was the easy part.
"So, I bet you never thought you'd be stuck in a dress your first day on a job, huh?" It seemed like a good time to talk about something! Distractions! So that Isaac couldn't back out!
Once the petticoat was on, he'd properly adjust the backing of the dress to fit properly. On top of that, Asher was quick to go with extensions. Though they took a little longer to put in, it would be more worthwhile! After all, who was to say he'd ever get to see Isaac all dressed up again? Working in layers, the teen clipped in a darker layer at the base of his trainee's neck, before working his way out in layers that only curled slightly near the tips of the hair. Which, of course, for maid-purposes, ended around mid-back. "Try not to yank these out. It hurts if you pull them wrong." That seemed like an important warning!
Afterwards, he planned to move onto a light makeup. Mascara, eyeliner, and even a tiny bit of glitter! Because, this kid needed to be finding glitter in his sandwiches for the next month or so. But, getting to the lipstick created a slight hesitation. "Okay, so, to get the inner part of your lips, I need to actually, uh," another pause, while considering a way of getting the pale lipstick on someone without making this another sinnuendo. Okay, okay. He could do this. "Just, open your mouth a little, yeah? I promise not to draw on your teeth." Yep. That last line was perfect to avoid making this all sorts of wrong. "Disclaimer! Murder your brother, not me, for making you a pretty girl!" After all, if Isaac let him apply everything, then they'd be done right after the lipstick! If not, then there would be fussing until Asher won!
And then, Isaac would just need to put on the ladylike shoes, to match everything together!

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Did Elliot sound a little bit worried? Maybe it was the fact that Isaac had been practically the only person he could rely on for pretty much his entire life. The idea that one day, Isaac'd possibly just not be interested anymore kind of scared him. Elliot had always hated change, but even through stuff like the move to Japan Isaac was a reassuring shoulder to lean on. What would Elliot even do if he was gone? Especially when here he was, dating girls and getting secret jobs and trying to sneak into life-threatening missions, all without him. The move to Japan may have represented Isaac coming into his own in a lot of ways, but it also left Elliot feeling just a little bit left behind.
Nevertheless, maybe that was healthy. And it wasn't like Isaac was forgetting about him entirely. They were still basically each other's tag team partners in the Digital World. They still hung out between classes, even if a bit less frequently. They still confided everything in each other. Or at least, Elliot thought they did. Maybe everything was okay after all, and Elliot was worrying over nothing. His tone returned to its normal friendly self as he mustered up a smile for Asher. "Thank you." For what? Elliot sure could be an odd bird sometimes, couldn't he?
Much less odd was Isaac's reaction to Asher's reaction to his appearance. He scowled slightly, wishing Asher wouldn't be making it worse by laughing at him. Then again, it was better than making it worse by leering at him, so maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Nevertheless, the laughter was coming with some good advice and accessories. He put on the petticoat and stockings, unsure why half of this was even necessary. An underdress? Seriously? But at least it was helping with the dress' shape. "There. Think that's better," he said, before sitting down so Asher could work with the lacing and extensions. It seemed like a lot of fussing for a request that Elliot would find funny for all of five minutes, and Isaac realized that his policy of never half-assing things was starting to bite him in the ass.
Especially when it came time for the makeup. Isaac sighed as Asher asked him to open his mouth, but obliged. He was smart enough to know trying that on his own right would likely lead to a mess, or to him snapping the thing in frustration. And much to Asher's credit, he didn't word it nearly as lewdly as he could have! He kept his fussing and struggles internal, because this would only get so much worse if he actually tried to squirm around during the procedure.
It was over surprisingly quickly and painlessly. Well, except for Isaac's pride, which was currently bleeding out on the floor. He stepped into his shoes for the first and hopefully last time ever, swallowing his ego in a single nervous gulp. "Well? How do I look meow?" he asked as he stood before Asher, once again forcing out a pun and a smile. At this point, the only thing keeping him placated was the fact that if he could do this he could do pretty much anything.

After watching far too many people apply lipstick awfully, Asher wasn't even somewhat willing to hand the item over to Isaac. This kid was probably one of them that just thought if he applied it vigorously enough in a straight line, it would magically shape to his lips. Luckily, the trainee wasn't going to fight him on this one. Score!
With another snicker at the puns, the teen simply stared at his work. Hey, Isaac could make a decent girl, too! "You look fab-mew-lous," Asher teased, throwing an awful cat-pun back at the kitty maid. While this would have been a perfect time to be overly-touchy with the younger boy's face, the manager refrained heavily. After all, nobody wanted makeup on white gloves.
Either way, there was a smirk that Asher couldn't stifle, and so many comments that needed to be kept to himself. Don't scare away the newbie. Don't! Quick breath!
Lightly placing an arm on the 'maid's' shoulder, he shifted to turn Isaac toward a mirror. "What do you think? Think your master will appreciate it?" Oof, that sounded horrible! But, Asher would like to think he did a pretty good job with the limited makeup, and that Isaac looked plenty feminine with longer hair! Now, it was a matter on if the boy found it convincing!
"Should we go, and show you off?" Sooner or later, Isaac was going to have to head back onto the restaurant floor, after all! He couldn't stall in the changing room forever! And, Asher certainly wasn't going to let him stay back here much longer, anyway.

"Ugh, don't make this weird," Isaac protested at the comment about his master appreciating it. Just because Elliot seemed to be on a quest to shove him as far out of his comfort zone as possible didn't mean people needed to pick the most questionable phrasing possible! Nevertheless, while he wasn't taking to the role half as naturally as his brother had, he still had to admit he looked surprisingly convincing. "You did a scarily good job, though," he relented, somewhat unnerved by how total of a transformation it was.
When asked if he was read to go outside, the first words to come out of Isaac's mouth were "Do I have to?" However, he relented under his own power, not wanting to have to be literally escorted out by Asher. He took one last swallow of his pride and then made his way out of the changing room, making sure to avoid the judging stares of literally everyone.
At least he could trust Elliot to not request photo proof of today.
Speaking of Elliot, he blinked as Isaac and Asher returned to the table. "No, I said make my brother wear a dress," Elliot said. "Not bring out someone completely different. I know he's probably too embarrassed to leave the changing room, but I'm sure there's at least somebody who looks more like him."
"We should probably take that as a complement, shouldn't we?" Isaac said to Asher, still doing his best to avoid the gazes of anyone not currently at this table. "Anyway, is there anything else you would like, Master?" Isaac asked, trying to keep his voice just the slightest bit higher.
Briefly, Elliot looked thoughtful. "Actually, I was just about done here. I can't believe you guys actually went through with this!" he said, giggling a little. "But I mean, its a really nice place, and I'd hate to go so soon after I got you dressed up like this. I dunno, I'm stumped. You got any other ideas on how to train my bro, Asher?"

Oh, come on. Did Isaac really expect Asher to be on perfect behavior with his tongue? He was just lucky that the only comment he made was on his master! It could have been worse, by far! "Thanks! I think," the redhead smiled. Of course he did a good job! He had been watching makeup artists do their stuff since he was a child! Sure, he doubted it was nearly as good of a job as they did, but hey. It was better than the average guy, probably!
Following Isaac to the table, the teen grinned at Elliot's reaction. "Definitely a compliment!" After all, there wasn't any cringing! Though, it was beyond obvious that Isaac was uncomfortable with this kind of attention. Asher would feel bad, but he just chalked it up to being a good taste of the stupid outfits that acting would surely bring the boy. If he could land a role, that is.
But, of course Elliot was about done with his visit. Which, only made it more hilarious. "Well, we certainly won't make you stay, if you'd like to leave, Master!" After all, putting people in silly outfits was one of the highlights of the job, as far as Asher was concerned! "I can't think of anything to train him that won't come naturally," the manager hummed, trying to think. "I'm sure he'll do fine! After all, if we can get him to put on a dress, he can do anything!" That seemed like an awfully odd criteria. But, whatever worked!

Well, darn. Elliot went fishing for excuses to stick around, and the hook came up empty. A pity. But at least he had a great time here while it lasted. "I think I'm good, then. Thank you guys!" he chirped merrily. He shot Isaac one last innocent grin, then turned to return to his croissant and coffee. Just in time, too! The drink was starting to get cold from how long he had been sitting on it. Luckily, Elliot had no qualms with lukewarm coffee, just like he had no qualms with pitch black coffee. Frankly, Isaac thought Elliot's coffee preferences were absolutely disgusting, but he knew better than to say anything.
With the done, Isaac went to bow. Or, rather, he remembered to curtsy instead at the last minute. "Well, we are happy to be of purr-vice," he said, looking at Elliot to gauge the reaction of the pun. That one got a solid "eh," probably because it was more of a bad rhyme than an actual pun. Nevertheless, with everyone seemingly appeased, Isaac headed back into the break room.
Damnit. The bathroom he was going to go scream in was taken again! Thankfully, he didn't need it nearly as much as he did last time. Instead he resumed picking at his outfit, trying to figure out how the heck it worked. There was so much stuff wrapped around his legs that it made him feel like he was going to be set on fire. And the extensions kept pulling down on his hair ever-so-slightly. And walking in those shoes was a nightmare. His usual sure stride had become a good deal more wobbly after putting them on, which made him so grateful that Elliot didn't want any other food. And all that lace was really starting to get irritating. He had no idea how Elliot was able to wear his Halloween costume without any of things becoming such huge issues!
Nevertheless, at least he had a chance to catch his breath. Although it would surely only be a matter of time before Asher came back again. Briefly, Isaac wondered how much longer shift would last, casting a quick glance towards the clock. It was fun, but he really hoped he wouldn't have to be so weighed down for the entire rest of it!

It was a bit of a shame that Elliot didn't plan stay longer! But, what was there to do now that he had his food and coffee? Hm. Maybe Asher would discuss with Piper, having the duo study at the maid cafe from time to time. It would be a nice alteration of scenery, after all!
"I'll get your check," the redhead hummed, after Isaac had walked away. Heading to the cashier's counter, the young man wrote down a few numbers, sliding them to the girl at the register. It seemed as though the two went back and forth for a few moments, before she shrugged and put it inside of the register. With the conversation done, the teen returned to Elliot's table, lightly wrapping his fist on the surface. "So! I got you a slight discount, just like I promised," the manager grinned, placing the charge slip print-down on the table. "And, terribly sorry for the inconvenience, young master. But, I really need to check on my trainee. If you could just pay at the cashier's table tonight, that would be lovely." With a quick bow, Asher left before the check could be examined.
For good reason, it seemed. The only item on it was Elliot's coffee.
The second he made it to the back, the teen was already on his phone, sending some sort of texts. But, when he reached the break room, the phone was back in his pocket. Regardless of if he was noticed or not, he would slip behind Isaac and unclip the collar with one of his hands. Either the item would be caught by it's wearer, or would clatter to the ground, but Asher seemed to have no intent on catching it, either way.
"That wasn't too bad, right?" Of course it was! The kid was in a dress! "At least nobody took any pictures!" That was hardly a plus side! But, Asher seemed to think it was.
Pulling his gloves off, the teen looked at the clock. "I swear, time goes by more slowly when you watch those things," he smiled, folding the white fabric in his hands. "Want me to help you get out of that dress?" Okay, that didn't sound nearly as censored as he had been trying. But, how many other ways were there for him to say it? "Or can you unlace it, yourself?" Of course, he didn't need a demonstration, if Isaac could. They weren't in the changing room, after all!
"Either way, you'll probably want your street clothes to change into. I'm not making you dress up fifty different times on your first shift! That, and it seemed that Asher was impatient about the concept of leaving for the day, too.
