Well! The child actually did have a request! Ginkakumon smirked, hearing it. That seemed simple enough. Was this why Witchy had let strangers into the camp? Not that he saw any other humans, and surely this kid's brother wasn't the orange cat! Or, was he? After all, it was hard to tell with humans. Let alone the Spirit User types. They were a weird bunch.
Elye let out a growl, while Witchy looked nervously between the group. "Oh. Spirit? I'm afraid we-"
"-You throw in reading one of them stories to the kids, and I can help you with that." Was Ginkakumon really that certain he'd win? Especially with the constant grumbling that was emitting from his lion friend. "Elye, stop that noise! I can't concentrate with you doin' that!"
"But, are you sure you want to do that?" Still, with the anger that the leader had displayed, Witchmon hovered in front of the MadLeomon's face, trying to settle him down with brushing his nose. It was her job to make him listen, after all! And, nobody wanted to make Ginkakumon angry!
"Are you doubting me?" This received no response, as it was clearly some sort of trap. Either way, he rested his elbow on the stump, and placed his hand out. "Only one match, or we doin' two out of three, kid? I've got all day." It wasn't like a village full of babies involved too much work!
Except for the fact that nobody was watching them. Meicoomon followed the group to a bunch of crates, watching them begin their prodding.
Well, at least Isaac was watching out for Asher, because he really had no idea what to even think when sticks began to invade their precious space. And, here he was about to have a legitimate conversation about this kid's girlfriend for the first time ever! Oh well. He supposed he already knew plenty from the few times that Isaac had been given the opportunity to gush.
"Nya! Tiny 'Mons! Purlease move!" With a bundle of cries and children shouting, claws scuffled on the side of the crate. "Isaac! Did I hear mew in there? Elliot is worried about efurryone."

"Oh, really? Heck, we'll do that even if we win," Elliot said. Heck, even if he won he'd give away the guide, too. At this point the only reason it was a bet and not a trade was because bets were way more fun, wasn't it? "My bro's great at bedtime stories. He gets them all dramatic sounding, and he puts on the voices and everything! He'd love to show you, but you guys kinda put him in a cage. But that's okay. He's patient.
Oh! If we're doing this 2 out of 3, lets make it a bit more interesting. Winner gets to ask loser questions. That way, there's something riding on every round. You don't gotta go for it, but I think it'd be fun, Elliot added. Look at Mr. High Stakes Big Shot over here! He was clearly having fun with this. Once he had made his suggestion he sat at the other side of the stump, clasping Ginkakumon's hand in his and waiting for someone to give them the go ahead. Hopefully Elliot knew what he was doing!
Because Isaac sure didn't. At least the stick was gone now. Meicoomon was a sight for sore eyes, or rather a sound for sore ears. "Tell him not to worry," Isaac said, voice singsong. This might have sounded familiar to Asher. "We're all doing just peachy here. Asher was actually helping calm me down by telling me some stories. It was really thoughtful of him." Yes, Isaac was actually throwing himself under the bus to keep Asher looking strong. He knew he wouldn't want Asher's worry leaking outside, after all.
However, he still whispered "Okay. Meicoomon's here, so you won't be alone this time. And if she's here, everyone is probably too distracted to notice you. This is your last chance. Want to escape?" Sure, Isaac wouldn't be able too escape with him, but at least most of the group would be reunited.

Well, that was easy enough. At least someone would entertain the little ones for a while. Ginkakumon really didn't pay much mind to them, anyway, but hey. It was less of them trying to break into his house that way! "In a cage?" Eyes shifted to look to Witchmon, to figure out what Elliot was talking about.
"The holding cells. You know? The crates?"
"Someone's actually just... sitting in those things?" Well, that was weird. Whatever. He wasn't going to call someone out for not breaking out of the boxes yet. Heck, they were wood. What person couldn't break the boards they used for a door on the thing? It wasn't like they were nailed down. Why else would Elye have to keep an eye on them?
And, why else didn't they usually have living prisoners?
He wasn't going to waste time thinking about how weird people were. "Eh, you got questions?" Was this kid curious, or something? "Sure. I'll think of somethin' to ask when I win."
With the challenger's hand clasped, Witchy gave her Deary a boop on the nose with one of her own hands. "Okay! On three! One... Two... Three! Go!"
"Peachy?" Weird words coming from such a grumpy seeming kid. But, it wasn't time to dwell on that! "Well! I'd tell him. But, right meow he's busy arm wrestling, I guess. Your brothfur's weird." Whiskers, you think everyone's weird. The most normal creature she'd encountered so far was that Wanyamon! What the heck?
Wide, yellow eyes shifted to look at Isaac. What was he talking about? The way that was worded, it didn't sound like Isaac intended on going with him. Mouth opened and closed a couple of times, before Asher rapidly shook his head. Sure, this was literally the worst place he could be right now, but he wasn't abandoning the boy! "N-No."
Chest rose and fell rapidly, while the young man still tried to keep moderately calm. Well, yes. Actually, he really wanted to escape. But, that didn't mean he was going to. "I said it," wait, what was he thinking? Shoot. It was hard to keep track of his own words. "--Said it before. I'm not leaving you." Stop asking questions that Asher wanted to take the wrong answer for, darn it! He couldn't just go leaving behind a kid that he dragged into this!

"I mean, yeah," Elliot said, shrugging. "They were told to wait in there. What are they supposed to do, just sneak out and get in even bigger trouble?" It made sense that for the time being they'd just sit tight and keep their heads down. After all, they didn't want the group to get in trouble! Doing something rash would just put them in the spotlight, make Elliot's life harder, and turn a tentatively friendly compound into a hostile, on-edge one. That said, were the holding cells really just . . . crates? That sounded awfully uncomfortable!
Nevertheless, no more time for talking. It was time for action. As soon as Elye was booped on the nose Elliot's eyes narrowed behind his helmet. He immediately tensed his grip on Ginkakumon's hand and dug his elbow into the table. Interestingly enough, he wasn't pushing forward yet. Right now he seemed intent on gauging Ginkakumon's strength, trying to hold against the silver oni's might for as long as possible. While he would certainly push back whenever force was being put against him, he was trying to match up rather than overwhelm for this early stage of the game. It wouldn't give him any victories yet, but it would certainly give him time to see what he was dealing with.
Then again, would he even have the luxury of not giving it his all? Ginkakumon looked very powerful, and depending on how much he put into this opening volley Elliot might have needed to give it his all just to stay in the game!
"Oh, that's oka- did you just say arm wrestling," Isaac asked, voice completely deadpan. He was willing to give Elliot the benefit of the doubt and say that it was Strikedramon instead of Elliot himself, but that was seriously Elliot's plan? Sometimes, he wondered if there was any method to his brother's madness. "Alright, I think I'm out of the loop here. Mind running through, like, any of that for me? Because whatever I was expecting him to do, that sure as hell isn't it."
And then there was Asher, being stubborn as hell. "Do you at least want to pop out and get some fresh air or something?" Isaac asked, whispering again. "Even if we have to go back in shortly after it'd at least be nice to clear your head a little, right? We can say we need to use the bathroom or something."

That was new! How many people legitimately followed the rules? "Well, that's what most people would do," Ginkakumon slowly replied. Who wanted to stay in a stuffy box? Those things barely had enough air holes! "Maybe someone should go make sure they're alive, still."
With absolutely no response from his partners, Ginkakumon leaned on his elbow, staring down the two that seemed to be making an extreme point of avoiding eye contact. "Do I have to do everything around here?"
To this, Elye let out a snort, before finally reaching up to bat at Witchy with a paw. The Digimon let out a small series of noises, which his love interest responded to with, "hm? Uh-huh. Yes, I suppose," before letting out a sigh and turning to her leader with a fake smile. "You don't want us as your good luck charms?"
"Not really, no."
Oh. Well, then. "Alright then, but if you lose, don't blame us," Witchy shrugged, giving a tiny laugh, and motioning for the MadLeomon to follow after the match started.
While Elliot's plan was to gauge the strength of target, Ginkakumon's plan seemed to be to end this quickly. With tight grip on the Strikedramon's hand, he put a large sum of force into the intent of just slamming Elliot's hand down with the first motion he made.
"I don't know!" Meicoomon was quick to quip. "He told the Wanyamon to get chalk, because appurrently that exists in the jungle, then walked off and came back talking about arm wrestling." It seemed that Whiskers was just as in the dark about all of this as Isaac was! At least this didn't seem like normal Elliot behavior!
Still, Asher shook his head, giving a weak laugh. Oh, come on. He couldn't even be convincing right now! "You really think I'm going to get back in here, if I step outside?" At least he managed to get a full sentence out in that breath! "I'm-- fine." Yes, that sounded totally fine.
With some shuffling outside of the crate, Whiskers whispered a, "oh! Someone's coming! I'm going back to check on Elliot!" Before scurrying off.
Not that there was much time to wonder who the someone was, as Witchy could be heard saying something incomprehensible outside of the box, with a constant grumble from her partner. And, then the entire crate began to tilt, while dark paws began to pull the door off of the object. Once the door was off, the first sight would be MadLeomon's face peering inside.
"You can't eat them, Deary. He said check. Not eat," the Witchmon voiced from the monster's side. To this, Elye let out a distraught grumble. "I know, I know. But, you're on a diet, anyway. People aren't good for it." Once the Digimon let go of the crate, and stepped back, Witchy peered in, with her fake-as-ever smile. "Still alive in here?"

Hoo boy, that was a lot of strength! Elliot's measured approach lead to Ginkakumon scoring an early victory. Or, at least, that's how it looked until their accelerating hands slowed to a crawl. Elliot froze them at about the three quarters mark, defiantly fighting to keep his hand from slamming into the table. Realizing that this wouldn't be a match where he couldn't afford to dawdle he started focusing all of his strength into building some proper leverage, trying to reverse his fate. If he was lucky, his sudden increase in force from "none at all" to "go hog wild" would help get them back up to a neutral position from sheer surprise value alone. If not, it was going to be quite the uphill climb for this round.
Not that Elliot even seemed to mind. "Wow, you're good!" he said, grinning ear to ear. "I've seen a lot of tough Digimon before, but when it comes to pure strength? You're really good!" Of course, just because he was impressed didn't mean he was giving up!
"Chalk?" Isaac said, a bit dumbfounded. "He was probably trying to get some games rigged up and slipped up. After all, you guys were supposed to be playing together, right?" Wait. If they were playing with babies, did that mean- "Please tell me Elliot isn't trying to arm wrestle the answers out of a bunch of babies. I swear, he's come up with silly plans in the past, but that would just take the cake."
And then there was Asher, who would not stop insisting he was fine. At least his time spent arguing with Isaac seemed to be distracting him from his pure, unadulterated terror earlier. "Well, okay. If you're sure," Isaac said, starting to get a bit too frustrated to even try anymore. They couldn't have at least slid out for a quick pee break or something?
Not that it mattered. Their window of opportunity for that slammed shut as Witchmon returned. "Takes a lot more to kill me than a box," Isaac said. "Speaking of staying alive, how's my brother doing? Apparently the little idiot's been going for an arm wrestling match? I swear, this place is confusing me like crazy.
Do you guys at least have some snacks? And no, dog food does not count as snacks." With their "accommodations" so far, Isaac wouldn't be surprised if Witchmon pulled that crud!

Ginkakumon swore that he was going to win that! But, it seemed that his opponent had a little more strength than he had anticipated! Oh well. That's what made this kind of thing fun! Of course, a struggle was little more than that, with Ginkakumon. He wasn't going to stop the force, even if someone was trying to put effort into it now! Too little, too late, as far as he was concerned. He hadn't won yet, though, darn it. The Digimon had expected an easy win on the first round!
Still, the monster grinned at Elliot's enthusiasm. "I do this a lot. Elye doesn't even win against me!" Then again, it was hard to get Elye to legitimately sit down and arm wrestle. Ever try to get a semi-mindless beast to focus on something for more than twenty seconds? It was a bit of a task.
Asher shifted, to lean closer to Isaac. Did the kid seriously think he'd be willing to get back inside of a panic-inducing box, if he stepped outside? Heck, no! Unless, that was Isaac's plan. To make Asher actually escape like he had been telling him to the entire time. Just keep working on breathing.
Speaking of breathing, Witchy seemed pretty disappointed that the duo still had enough oxygen. It would have been so much easier if they hadn't been awake! Or alive! Darn it. "Yeah. Arm wrestling," how very exciting for an outsider. "I don't know why you boys have to harass Ginkakumon to begin with."
And, seriously? He was thinking about snacks?
Elye began to drool, warranting a groan from his girlfriend. Snacks. "Did you really have to say that word in front of him?" Witchmon hissed, looking between Isaac and MadLeomon. "Of course I don't have snacks! What part of diet didn't you understand?" After all, too many unhealthy 'snacks' weren't good for Elye's health! She wouldn't carry around anything edible, with a nose like his!
"I have more important things to deal with, anyway. Like this spirit I heard your brother ask about."
To this, MadLeomon began a series of grumbles, that seemed to go unheard by his partner.
"You don't seriously think Ginkakumon's going to hand it over if your friend wins, do you?" Of course, help and give were two totally different words. And, it seemed clear that Ginkakumon was well aware of the difference, when he accepted the bet.

Elliot was putting up a spirited struggle, but that didn't translate to a win like every underdog sports movie ever said it did. Despite his best efforts, he was treading water instead of making any meaningful ground. At this point, he was likely expending pointless energy on a losing match. Then again, he hadn't seen Ginkakumon's endurance put to the test yet. Perhaps if he just held on a little longer, he'd start pushing through the initial force of Ginkakumon's strike. Maybe he'd test the waters just this once, see if Ginkakumon could be tired out after his heavy opening burst. If he didn't see any positive change soon, though, he'd throw in the towel for this round and conserve his strength.
But first and foremost, he'd keep cordial. "Oh, nice!" Elliot said in response to Ginkakumon's bragging. "And he seems really strong, too. Y'know, how did you guys meet, anyway?" Hey! Questions were supposed to be after each round, and only from the winner! But while Kinkakumon was in such a jovial mood, Elliot hoped a little bit of his curiosity could be sated nonetheless. This place seemed really interesting, spirits aside!
Not that spirits were completely off the table. Or maybe they were, if what Witchy was saying to Isaac was true. "So he has it," Isaac said, matter-of-factly. Maybe that was a no duh statement to those in the know, but to an outsider spirits could have been anywhere around here. They could've been in Elye's den, for example, or Witchmon's domain. Hell, they could've been on the shop shelves! "If I can ask, why would he want to keep it so bad? I could understand if it was something immensely powerful, but its the first spirit our friend here's being pointed towards. I haven't seen Ginkakumon myself, but surely he's stronger than a basic leveled spirit?" Ouch. Way to throw Asher's current power level under the bus!
A better question was why Isaac was sitting here in a cage when he was outright being told they weren't playing a fair game. "And hey. Just because my brother'd sadly pout about being screwed over doesn't mean I'd take it lightly. You really think I'm just sitting in this cage because I'm scared of it?" Isaac. "Trust me. You wouldn't want to do wrong by my brother like that."
Isaac, maybe if you noticed your Digivice's light was still dulled out, you wouldn't be talking so cockily.

Ginkakumon seemed to have no intent of releasing the force behind this match. He was going to win, darn it! ...Even if that meant he would end up tiring out sooner, than later. That just meant that every round would have to be won quickly!
"Strongest in the camp," Ginkakumon agreed. While one would anticipate him to say 'except for me,' the Digimon didn't. Just because he could win arm wrestling didn't mean that he could defeat a crazed beast in a battle! Sometimes, it might be easier to win something, when there wasn't a thought to be had except pure passion for the subject. Or, in this case, rage.
But, wasn't Elliot supposed to ask questions if he won? Ah, whatever. It wasn't like anything was particularly top-secret! "Met him a long time ago. Witchy introduced us. When his mind was more... in-tact." How long had it even been? The silver Digimon couldn't even remember!
It seemed that curiosity ran in the family, with Isaac asking questions, too! "Well, you don't think we'd just have a totem under our noses, without even knowing, do you?" Okay, so that seemed to be a very 'no duh' moment. Arms crossed, looking the kid up and down. "Why wouldn't he want to keep it? If he was going to just give it away, we'd already have it!" And, then there was a pause, as if the witch realized that she had spoken too much.
Either way, Witchy didn't seem to fond of the jab about 'basic level spirits,' raising her voice and throwing a glare. "Don't you dare call it basic. Ginkaku loves that thing." Clearly, too much to let it go. Though, it was understandable, as far as Witchy was concerned.
Asher looked to Isaac with a small pout, too. Oh, come on! Don't insult the first spirit he was supposed to actually get! This was just an awful day for the boy's pride!
With what sounded like a threat, as far as Elye was concerned, the Digimon grabbed the top of the crate, shoving it to balance on one of the corners. Old wood creaked and crackled under the pressure. It seemed that the monster wouldn't take friendly toward that kind of talk!
"Deary, careful," the witch hummed, patting the monster on his shoulder. They didn't want to break the box! "You should be scared. My Deary will rip you apart," she warned, sing-song. Who cared, whatever this boy thought he could do? His friend, in the box, didn't seem particularly useful, either. "We're not doing anything wrong, little boy. Get your facts straight. The deal wasn't for the spirit. It was for help with finding it. Giving was never stated!"

Mind more intact? What did that mean? "Is he okay?" Elliot found himself asking, seconds before his hand slipped and hit the stump. Well, if he was hoping for an answer, it seemed like he wouldn't be getting one now. He grinned at Ginkakumon, shaking the tension out of his hand a little. "But then again, I guess you should be asking the questions now, huh? So c'mon, feel free to ask anything! Don't worry, I'll let you know if it gets too personal or uncomfortable or anything like that," he offered, clearly being a good sport about this. Hell, even his earlier worry about Elye seemed genuine. Maybe Meicoomon had made the right pick after all.
Ginkakumon's camp certainly didn't, with Witchmon's loose lips hinting at a further agenda. "Aha! I knew you were up to something," Isaac said, immediately pouncing on her statement. "And to think my bro's at least been up-front about wanting his hands on it, if it's being offered up as a bet like that. So, how about this? We play a little game ourselves. It's called I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Like, we're in this because the spirit's attuned to our friend's Digivice. So why are you after the spirit?"
It seemed calling the spirit basic struck a chord, though. And Ginkakumon's love seemed like a rather personal love, too, with the high regard Witchmon was talking about it with. Maybe Elliot was getting a little bit in over his head. Isaac felt the brief need to intervene, but he knew interrupting a bet in process would likely be a horrible idea. Besides, Elliot was a resourceful kid. Surely he'd be fine!
Would Isaac, though, if he kept poking the angry bear? Or in this case, the angry lion. The crate shook with great force as Elye pressed down on it, and cautiously Isaac laid a hand on his Digivice. Wait, it wasn't warm? Oh, of all the rotten luck! Nevertheless, he was in it too deep to back down now. "Hey, don't worry. We don't want to give you guys any trouble," Isaac said, trying to keep his tone even despite the nerves starting to build up in his gut. He was without his main weapon, and that meant his confidence was faltering big time. "I'm just saying you guys wouldn't want to give us any trouble, either. Lets just talk this through, okay?" De-escalate! De-escalate!

Smirking, the Digimon felt his fingers touch the stump as he won one round. "He's got Witchy, best support he could ask for," Ginkakumon shrugged. "Crazy happens. Instincts, or whatever," he reasoned. After all, a MadLeomon had to be a little mad, right?
Ginkaku thought that Elye was handling quite well, considering that.
"Oh! Question, right. Hm," the monster thought it over, while rotating his wrist a little. "Why do you want to find that spirit?" Really, that was the only important question that he could think of!
Still, Ginkaku wouldn't wait too long for the match to continue, placing his elbow on the stump again, and waiting for Elliot.
"How would you have known anything?" Witchy scoffed at the child in the box. After all, they'd lived with Ginkakumon for ages! He barely seemed suspicious of the duo! Then again, maybe that had been Isaac grasping at straws. Eyes narrowed, looking at Asher for a moment, who had remained eerily quiet throughout all of this. Not for any reason in particular, no. It couldn't be that the box was still freaking him out. "That guy's digivice?" Seriously? They thought he deserved a spirit? "Well, who's to say that we don't have a use for it?"
It wasn't like totems were only meant for one person, ever. Right? Now if, say, someone else knew how to utilize them. Unless that really was the case, but that just felt wrong in this instance!
With a sigh, the witch patted her partner on the shoulder, and he was quick to release his hold on the box. With a thud, it hit the ground again. "I don't see what there is to talk about."
Asher cringed slightly, feeling horribly disoriented. Tight, moving spaces. Yes, that was exactly an ideal day. Man, this Digimon thing really sucked. "Hey, uh, Wit-chy, was it?" He grumbled, getting the humanoid monster's attention. "Can we stand outside of this crate, with you guys?"
"Why would we let you do that?"
Because he was totally going to throw up if he stayed in this crate much longer. That was why! "Well, you look really pretty, but I can't see very well from in here." Is that seriously where you're going with this, Asher? She's taken! And not human! "N-Not trying to hit on you! Just saying, it would be-" just keep breathing, darn it! "Would be nice if I could compliment you properly."
...Did he seriously think that was going to work? Especially with that terrifying growling sound that her boyfriend was making. Eh, it was a fifty-fifty chance. They'd either get their cell broken, or they'd get let out! Worth the risk, right?
"What?" Witchy looked at Asher, Isaac, and then her Deary. Oh, this was weird. But, strangely flattering? "Well." Seriously? She was going to buy that? And, the witch had seemed so much smarter at the beginning of this adventure! "Alright. But, if either of you try to run, Deary will step on you."
Elye grumbled, stepping away from the box with slumped shoulders. Why couldn't Witchy just let him eat the people? Forget diets! Still, she gave him a pat on the nose, to try to reassure him.

"Oh! That's an easy one," Elliot said as he kept wringing the feeling back into his hand. "Y'see, it's attuned to our friend's Digivice. He's new to the Digital World, and we were trying to help him find it so he could be as strong as we are. I know, he might seem silly sometimes, but he's got a really big heart. He's always trying to help people, and he puts his 110% into everything. And he loves making people smile. I mean, it's his first day in the Digital World, and he hasn't even wavered for a second! Even locked up in a cell he's been keeping a really brave face the whole time. I think my bro'd be freaking out in there if it wasn't for him. Anyway, that spirit's attuned to him, and I don't think there could be a better person out there to bear it. Also, his Digivice probably won't stop beeping like an angry alarm clock until we do that."
Briefly he looked at his feet, sighing. "I was hoping his first day in the Digital World would've been a bit more of an adventure than this, though. I don't think he's really gonna be happy spending it all locked up. But just because he can't make it to our bet doesn't mean I can't still make him proud," Elliot said, smiling somewhat sadly at Ginkakumon. However, he couldn't let his feelings keep holding him back. Instead he sat down at the stump again, clasping his hand back in Ginkakumon's. "Alright, I'm ready to go when you are!"
This time he wouldn't hold back. Instead, the second they counted down he would put as much force as he could muster up into his technique. Ginkakumon seemed to have pretty good endurance and power alike, so that left Elliot as the variable. Before, he was used to Elliot going at a much more methodical pace. This time Elliot sought to push back right out of the gate, hoping to sap away at Ginkakumon's remaining endurance and leave him surprised by the sheer force he tried to put out. And if it got a bit tiring, he'd always have one last trick sitting in his back pocket.
"I knew something was up because you were all too happy to spring deals on us without even giving us a chance to ask about the fine print," Isaac said, recalling their earlier meeting. "Doesn't really gel well with Ginkakumon being the type of guy to accept my brother's silly challenges. Or the fact that these boxes clearly aren't built for holding people for too long. I mean, heck, what good's a cage you could just collapse in like that?" Witchmon's behavior had been suspect for a while, and Isaac was far more willing to call her out on it than Elliot was. Being so secretive about her reasons for using the spirit didn't help much, either.
And then Asher finally decided to leave the box. When they were near the watchful eye of two champion-level Digimon and Isaac's Digivice was still burnt out. "Seriously? Now?" he whispered, not even caring that it was Asher's dumb flattery that got them out of this situation. Honestly, he was just amazed it worked! He stepped out, taking in a nice, healthy breath of fresh air.
He had to admit, it was a little nice getting out of that horrid box. Even if he wished Asher could've made that decision several minutes ago. "Thank you," he said as he left. "And don't worry. You don't have to worry about us going anywhere.
Might as well ask while I'm here. What is this place, anyway?"

Okay, maybe Ginkakumon shouldn't have asked. The monster knew better, what with tending to babies all day, that for some reason, everyone had to ramble their stories. Elliot was still a child, in a Strikedramon's body, after all. Children made stories way longer than necessary! He could've just said 'oh, it's my friend's, he's nice,' and end it at-- Wait. "You're looking for it, for a guy?" Oh man, were they in for a surprise!
"I get a feeling, he'd rather a different spirit."
Using his free hand, he motioned for the Minomon to return to the stage. "Count us down, Tiny Pine Cone." After all, Witchy was still gone! Hopefully, that didn't mean that the other visitors were dead. Oh well! Worry about it if it happens!
"Kay! Three, two, uh.." What comes next? Oh! Oh, yeah! "One! Go!"
Witchy didn't seem to be entirely buying Isaac's reason for suspicion. But, it was too late anyway. "You need different views to make someplace work well," she was quick to argue. "Usually, if you're a prisoner, you're not really leaving here alive. It's just a courtesy to let you think that you are!" Oh, so those really were prisons. This was likely awful from an outsider's perspective!
"Yes, now," Asher hissed under his breath. Throwing up didn't really like to wait on people, and if he didn't get out of this box, that would be now, instead! Luckily, the comments worked, and the teen wasted zero time escaping from the crate. "Oh, thank god," he mumbled, inhaling the much less-stuffy air. That was horrible!
Still, he had to fulfill his earlier comments, with flashing a smile at the witch and stating, "forgive my earlier comment. Pretty is an understatement!" Okay, enough of that. Time to sit down.
There was barely any grace to pulling his legs out from under himself, and dropping to sit on the dirt. Okay, now the world was a lot less terrible, maybe he'd be able to feel less like dying.
"Oh, I know you're not going anywhere," the Witch responded, without even hesitating. Nobody wanted to be chased down by an angry lion! "'This place'? You mean, the prison. It is actually a prison," while Witchy had a feeling that wasn't the actual question, she was going to answer like this unless given something more specific! And, even then, why would she give too many answers away?
Unlike Ginkaku, she felt like some things should be kept secret.

"Oh. Another girl spirit?" Elliot asked, a little confused. "Darn. We were hoping this one would be different. But at least he's a little used to turning female by now. Anyway, we can't really just use a different spirit that easily. Trust me, do you think crazy buff shark dinosaur was my first kind of choice? Its still kind of uncomfortable being this . . . big, honestly. But its what I've been given, so I try to make the best of it. Really, if we want to keep exploring the Digital World with him, this is his last hope. So please, don't be mad at me if I put up as good of a match as I can for it. I don't want to let him down."
And put up a good match Elliot would. The second the count was done Elliot pushed to the side, shooting out of the gate with all of the force he could muster up. Not only was he holding to his previously decided upon strategy of overwhelming Ginkakumon, but he also was filled with the determination to fight on Asher's behalf. Losing this round meant losing everything for Asher. Could spirit users even get second chances if a spirit was lost? As far as Elliot knew this was their one chance. Their one hope. He'd feel awful if that hope slipped through their fingers because he wasn't good enough.
He'd just have to be good enough!
And then Witchmon just kept on threatening them. Between that and her insufferable tendency to treat Isaac like an idiot, he was quite close to showing her the true extent of his power. Or, at least, he would if his Digivice wasn't still fried out! Honestly, he wanted to go back in time and deck himself for that one. Showing off to Asher couldn't have been further from worth it, especially when Witchmon was making dealing with Asher seem like a dream come true by comparison. "Usually different views don't involve shady murder boxes. Or planning to try and take away your camp leader's spirits. But whatever," he grumbled. Witchmon seemed quite in tune with the smell of her own bullcrap, so he probably wouldn't shake any confessions out of her. But he wasn't about to let her one slip-up drop, either.
"Well, yeah. Of course this is a prison. I mean the rest of it. Cause its real weird having a prison right next to a village full of babies. Especially when its unguarded enough to let the babies poke the prisoners," he added. "So specifically, what is this compound? Where did it come from, and why?" That was way more specific.

Another? Oh, man. What, was the spirit user really girly or something? Or, maybe he just needed to be a little more feminine, and this was the Digital World's way of showing it! Either way, it was kind of hilarious! "Buff Shark Dinosaur is respectable," Ginkakumon pointed out, with a shrug. "Not to say that the spirit you're lookin' for isn't. I respect Her more than you, Normally-Small-Child."
And, with the round beginning, Ginkaku seemed to intend on doing the same as he had earlier. Except, he hadn't necessarily been planning for Elliot to do the same with such strength! With the surprise, the Digimon found his hand slowly slipping backward. Darn it! He was going to keep trying!
After all, he didn't want risk losing anything valuable to him!
"It's not like he can use it. He wouldn't, even if!" Witchmon argued back, while her partner let out another growl. Jeez, this kid was annoying! "And, we haven't taken it yet! We're not thieves!" Really, they were just hoping that one of these days, they'd be able to convince the leader to part with the item! But, if the duo got truly desperate, they'd do what was necessary. "Don't think that Ginkakumon doesn't know that the prisoners don't usually leave. They'd make a mess of things, otherwise." Why was she even bothering to defend herself, here?
Eyes shot to Elye, hearing about babies poking the prisoners with sticks. "They're doing what, now?"
Quickly, MadLeomon looked to the side, almost as if embarrassed. He let out a distressed chord, trying to defend himself. Okay! It was really hard to focus on boxes, when people were making him go and bring stumps to the middle of camp! Give him a break!
"It doesn't have a name," the woman tried to recover her earlier irritation, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's just a place to live. The Oni siblings made it, forever ago. Used it as a base to help out injured and sick Digimon they found. Somehow, it ended up turning into a daycare of abandoned babies." Of course, that was mostly after it was only Ginkakumon finding anyone to bring back to safety. Maybe, he wasn't as good at the job as others could be. "The adults don't tend to stay. Why would anyone want to watch a bunch of slime-balls all day?" That couldn't even be considered an insult! Some babies were literal slime! "Why's it matter where our prison is, anyway? At least someone's taking care of the little ones!"
Personally, Asher found this entire place insane. And people thought he was weird? There was a talking witch, and a groaning, strangely colored lion. What the heck was the Digital World, anyway? Maybe, he'd ask about it, if he weren't still trying to recover from a total meltdown.
