The Valley of Dragons was a bit of a hot bed for minng activity, the mountains of the region filled with many precious ores or gemstones. Perhaps this was why many a Dramon type Digimon lived in the region, as after all; dragons DO love making hoards for themselves.
Dragon Digimon though that were thinking of invading the mining operations in the region have since though learned to avoid attacking the ones seered by a certain particularly brutal taskmaster. Even feral Digimon and bandits learned quick to avoid the sites directed by the Mega level Digimon, Blastmon. Not even the miners employed by him were comfortable with the boisterous and strict golemn, they often working as efficiently as possible out of fear of being punished.
Unfortunately for today though, Blastmon was busy doing other business elsewhere in the Digital World... And for NiseDrimogemon, this meant he had a lot of pressure on his shoulders trying to substitute directing the operation. He was desperate for the mercenaries whom applied to assist their little endeavor to arrive soon, the mole Digimon awkwardly glancing at one of the cave entrances.
Loud howling filled that particular dark abyss, several Gotsumon and Monodramon miners anxiously attempting to ignore it. It was a tricky situation for everyone here overall. Runaway mining equipment was dangerous to try and work with, and the longer it went unsupervised; the more of a risk of the mine tunnels collapsing was possible.
No work was able to be made, something that greatly upset NiseDrimogemon. Their operation was primarily a gem-mining operation, but as of now; their production for the valuable minerals as practically ceased. Blastmon had made it clear to him how upset he'd be if their operation was stalled for much longer, the mole Digimon not being one to risk disappointment. Frankly, he was terrified of the potential consequences that were at hand BEYOND just merely losing his job if he could not do SOMETHING about this.

The Valley of Dragons again, huh? Bellamy had bad memories about this place, but the Impmon kept silent about them as they approached. After all, he would not want to ruin what would probably be the most important job for them so far since joining PROFIT.
The three of them had caught the Trailmon to the nearest station, and were heading into the valley on foot. Bellamy and his twin brother Luke were taking the lead, Luke's nose almost pressed up a pamphlet he had found about the details of the mission. Their client would be a Mega level digimon called Blastmon, which made all three of them, even the usually mischievous and impish Bellamy keen on behaving themselves. None of them wanted to be on the receiving end of a Mega level's wrath.
They soon arrived at the mining site. Fortunately they found out quickly that Blastmon wasn't here, but instead they would conduct themselves with professionalism as members of PROFIT. All around the entrance to the mine were tracks and mining carts, most of them relatively empty since the mining operation had ceased.
"So we just gotta take care of malfunctioning equipment, huh?" Bellamy asked. "Sounds simple enough"
The ominous howling from the cave soon made that sentiment dubious. It came so suddenly that Bellamy yiped and jumped up on Colin's back.
"Pipe down, Bellamy, we can digivolve to Perfect level you know" Luke said, irritably.
"Y-yes of course!" Bellamy said, jumping back down. "No worries, guys, you'll soon have that mine in order again soon!"
He was mostly ignored, apart from a Gotsumon who pointed out the foreman. So the three of them approached NiseDrimogemon with polite looks on their faces.
"Hey there" Colin said to him. "I heard you had some trouble in the mines that needed taking care of? Well, we're here to help if that's the case".

Gem, gem and gem, here in this hot land, is Yuuki asking for his arm to be fried? Well, he guess that his partner is currently dealing that sort of thing with his own way, he have to consent on it. It's not like he can't cool it down. He could, and that's what's fine with going here. However, all of that considered, he's more curious as of why Yuuki is interested in this. Probably just in for the money or something else?
"We're here," Yuuki muttered. The howling sound was... indeed, very eerie. He doesn't believe in ghosts in Digital World, but indeed this is creepy. He's not the first one there apparently. Hikaru, after dropping Yuuki somewhere on walking distance to the entrance, sneakily sneaks behind Bellamy and purred.
"Hello handsome, didn't know you dashing Impy is here to save the day~"
Yuuki just snorted at that and approached the rest of the group. "Hey there Colin, Luke, Bellamy. Glad to see that you're in this mission too. One less worry for us, I say."
He respectfully nodded at the Nise Drimogemon. "Foreman Nise Drimogemon, I assume? Itou Yuuki and Hikaru, here to report for the job. Can you tell us more about the jobs detail?"

Timothy, Bibi, and Faluo had just gotten off the Trainmon to the mission. Bibi and Faluo had been arguing all the way about how they should act. He eventually got them to stop by telling them how they'll do it. Be nice and hope for the best. They then get the info that they aren't talking to a Mega, but a NiseDrimogemon. That made things easier.
The group found their way to the now quite largely crowd of people and digimon. Timothy quickly gave a wave, then said, "We're here for the job?" Bibi and Faluo both nodded as well, with Bibi starting off, "We're ready to beat stuff up!" Faluo sighed and just hoped she'd stay quiet for the rest of it.

The purple mole Digimon grumbled slightly to himself as he tried to ignore the echoing sounds of machinery from the nearby caverns. Squinting slightly (the sun hurt his eyes and made seeing things a bit difficult for him as he usually preferred working in the darkness of the earth,) he noticed the incoming horde of prospective mercs. Three humans and... one, two... five Digimon total. A slight bit of hope began to build up in NiseDrimogemon, he sitting up slightly and twirling the curled moustache on his face. Perfect, maybe this would actually go smoothly then! His job wasn't one on the chopping block!
Coughing some, the mole spoke a rather gravelly voice (he's been on this job for quite a while now) to the newcomers. "Hmm, hmm. You folks don't look half-bad, but I can't see a damn thing in this light to begin with; so what am I saying?" He'd begin to ramble, he motioning a Gotsumon to retrieve something; the stone Rookie running off. "Either way, good to see you whipper-snappers here. Blastmon is a Digimon with a hair-pin temper, he disliking anything slowing down our work." He'd grumble, coughing once more.
"So here's the deal. You go in those mines. You destroy our runaway equipment. You get paid. Cash-dough. Pretty simple requirements if I do say so myself." The mole Digimon would begin to talk. It was a fairly simple job, and a high-paying one too; hard to screw up he hoped. Cause if they screwed up, he was out of a job likely. "But I do need to warn ya whippersnappers, we don't just use regular ole equipment. We use machine Digimon. Unfortunately for you folks, the one that has decided to up and malfunction on us is that damn Kenkimon. Hard to miss im', he's big and yellow."
NiseDrimogemon wouldn't have been lying if he said he didn't really like the particular Kenkimon malfunctioning here. Always was a bit too grouchy and single-minded to work in a environment like this. Now that it's having a temper tantrum, fraid it was time for the thing to go. "Just beat the crap out of im' till he's back into an egg... or I guess load im' if ya want. Bits can buy new one pretty easy." He'd casually say. Blastmon was a very rich man, hence why he was so willing to put up this job in the first place. The amount of damage that the Kenkimon could deal if not taken care of costed MUCH more than if they just got some folks to put it down and get a new one.

Bellamy heard the purring and recognized it instantly. "Heh, heya floofmeister" the Impmon said, reaching up and patting Hikaru's neck. "How's it going?". He instantly felt better about their mission here, glad that he'd be doing it with a friend.
And others turned up too. Timothy and the Bird twins, of whom they had met in Whitewater City. Apparently they had their Armor levels so hopefully they would be of assistance. Colin gave a wave to them.
"Yep, glad you'll be helping us out too" Colin said to Yuuki.
Bellamy blinked a little with confusion at NiseDrimogemon's remark about the light, given that the sun was up, but he shrugged, supposing it was to do with the mole digimon's night vision. So it seemed that their mission was simple, go in the mine, destroy the out-of-control equipment, and get out again.
Only the catch seemed to be that the 'equipment' in question was a Kenkimon. "Hmm, right, an Armor level" Luke said, folding his arms and scratching his chin. "A Perfect Armor level if I'm not mistaken".
"Don't worry about that guys, we can evolve to our Natural Perfect forms" Bellamy said cheerfully. "And we also attack with fire and lightning so we'd be effective against a machine, right?"
"Maybe, but still, we have to be careful that the battle with Kenkimon doesn't knock down any support pillars while we're down there" Luke said, seriously. "A cave-in down there won't be pretty"
Bellamy nodded, recognizing his brother's serious tone. Also of course it went without saying that they weren't going to touch any of the gems while they were down there, given that was explicitly written on the instructions, so he didn't really want to get the foreman's wrath about that one.
"Okay then, so we'll be doing that now" Colin said, deciding there was little more to talk about. He pulled out his digivice and the blue card at the top of the deck in his pocket. "Digimodify! Matrix Evolution!" he called, evolving his partners to their highest forms.
"Impmon warp-digivolve to... Astamon!"
"Elecmon warp-digivolve to... Dynammon!"
"Hey Hikaru, ya like this form?" Bellamy asked Hikaru, the Astamon giving a wide smile under his suave mobster hat, his straw coloured hair covering one eye in a devilish fashion. Luke cleared his throat, the electric wheel on his back giving a kind of irritable static buzz.
His Perfect level partners at either side, Colin turned to NiseDrimogemon. "About how far down is this Kenkimon?" he asked, curiously. Once the answer was given, and as long as Yuuki, Timothy and their partners were settled, he'd continue.

"Hello there, Impsanova," he joked and purred at the touch from the Impmon. Oooh, that felt good, but one on between his ears would be really good too. Still, a single cough from Yuuki was enough to make him pull back and grins sheepishly. "I guess we'll need to be serious and professional for this one, eh? Well, anyway, I felt like you gone ahead of me again, a pity really. I wanted to surprise you, but instead is the one surprised! Oh well, just you wait though, Impster, I'll definitely surpass you and get to Alphamon again!" he declared.
Of course Yuuki just chuckled. "Fine, fine, guys, get back to the business, please."
In the entrance, he can see the figure of the Nise Drimogemon as clearly like the cave is no different than the outside... but that's probably because his eyes property. Well, that's not important, what is are apparently the fact that there's a Kenkimon down here. If a perfect is needed in the job, does this means that it can evolve somewhat? He hope not. Bellamy as usual is already going a bit too proud, but he guess it's not wrong to be proud of your strength when you got reason to be. Unfortunately, he got too excited. Luckily before Yuuki can rebutt him, Luke is already on it. That's good.
"Sounds like great, Bellamy," Hikaru purred, but seem more keen to listening for more.
"...Anyway, sir, other than that, can you please tell us more about the situation here? Like, for example, is it really just one Kenkimon? Or why did it berserked? Anything is fine. "
...Load, this guy really doesn't care about it all that much? Hikaru was rather aghast. For a Digimon to be treated that way...

Timothy turned to the two with him really fast and said a quick, "Hello." He had barely known Colin and had never met Yuuki, so this would be interesting. He continued listening to the NiseDrimogemon without getting into much conversation. Bibi and Faluo weren't even getting into any more of an arguement at the moment, which was great! They stood at Timothy's side listening and occasionally piping in.
After getting info on the target and how it's wanted to be dealt with, Timothy got a bad feeling in his stomach, "Alright... Wouldn't it be better to just send it somewhere else?" Bibi shrugged, "I dunno, doing battle with it sounds like a lot of fun." Faluo sighed and said, "Not getting involved, just let her speak her insanity."

The NiseDrimogemon could not help but get a legitimate chuckle out of some of the optimism from these younguns. Reminded him back in the good ole days of being an adventuring Patamon... but he was old now and was not fit for fighting. "You kids and finding battling fun. Trust me, when you are as old as I am; fighting is the last thing that comes in your mind." He'd grumble to the group, it clear that even being a level below the Astamon and... bigger Elecmon, he still considered them to be kids.
"Hell if I know if that Kenkimon is an Armor Perfect or whatever, we don't hire these construction workers based on their level. We don't expect any of them to have to fight; let alone start a riot." He would reply to the former Elecmon's statement. Least they seemed to understand that this wasn't all fun and games. Real threat of serious injury or death in those caves while a berserk machine was running loose. "And yeah, you boys try not to go and kill yourselves or somethin'. We'd at least try to let your loved ones know of your demise, but it's not exactly perse in the budget nor are we legally obligated in anyway shape or form..." He'd grumble, not at all joking about that last part.
"Yeah son. Just one is freaking out. No idea why, but damned thing is trying to kill anyone that gets remotely close. Boss isn't here to fix the situation and we can't risk the workers dying, so that's why you folks are here." He'd answer the man with the Dorumon's questions, shortly after the Gotsumon that NiseDrimogemon ordered a bit ago came back. The small rock imp was carrying a map, handing it to the kid with the twin Perfects. Depicted on it was the entire layout of the caverns built into the mountain and deep below it, a section marked in red. "One of my Gotsumon boys brought ya a map of the place. Marked in red is where big, yellow and angry is... since we honestly doubt he's gonna be going anywhere. Just try and follow the noise and not get crushed by a cave-in... I guess."
Just then, another loud outburst of mechanical howling echoed from one of the mine entrances; startling the Gotsumon away. Dust seemed to be shaken off the cavern walls, forming a dust cloud that obscured the entrance some. A slight shiver tingled across the mole's spine, he glancing at the tamers and their partners with a somewhat genuine look of concern. "Just want to let you kids know, this is the chance to back out."

Bellamy nodded when Hikaru said they should be professional for this one. "Yeah, of course" he agreed. He didn't want to ruin this for Colin or Luke, or their reputation in PROFIT.
Of course both of them were a bit awkward at the mention of loading the Kenkimon's data. Neither of them would do such a thing willingly. So they'd just revert it to an egg and that would be that.
NiseDrimogemon seemed to think 'informing loved ones of their demise' was something that wasn't in the budget. 'Hm. I guess you can tell this isn't a union-regulated mine' Bellamy thought.
They then were kind of relieved that it was just the one Kenkimon down there. And they looked at the map that Gotsumon provided. Luke examined it closely.
"I see, so it's a depth of 300 feet" the Dynammon said. "Well, that's not too far at least" he remarked, knowing that the deeper a mine goes, the more dangerous the conditions. Then there was a blast of dust from the entrance, as well as mechanical growling.
"We'd best do this quickly then, before it knocks down too many structures in the mine" Colin said. He was scared, true, but he had his partners around, and Yuuki and Hikaru being there was helpful too. And he was also glad to have Timothy with them as well.
Before they would go down, Luke and Bellamy explained to the group about their new forms and their abilities.
"Just a heads up. If you get in trouble, Luke and I can heal you" Bellamy said. "Also, I can fly in this form, not that it'd be much use down there. My main attack involves this obviously" he patted his Oro Salmon machine gun. "And Luke here's got his blasters for everything, right, bunny-boy?"
"Yeah I guess so" Luke said. "I can fight melee too with my Raijin Kick attack so that's that when needed. But when I'm readying my Storm Beam attack, get out of the way, I can't stress that enough".
Hopefully that would let their friends know what they can do. Colin took care to take a mining helmet from a rack outside the entrance, as well as safety glasses. "We might want to wear these" he said to the others, thinking it would be very dangerous for them to enter an unstable mine. A falling rock could cause severe damage. "We can borrow them, right?" he asked NiseDrimogemon.

...Hikaru aren't even sure if this is cheapskate move or something else entirely. He groaned internally from the answer said by the foreman. He's not even sure what level are they hiring! This is another sign of incompetence in his eyes. Afterall, if there is a riot, he's the first one to get the brunt of it! What is he thinking? Well, that's none of his business. He decided that he will silently listen to them for now.
..And regretfully regretting it right after. What the hell with this management!? If he's Alphamon at the moment, he'll raise all sort of hell at this Blastmon guy! With the usually cheerful Doru's expression becomes more and more unamused, Yuuki understood that this is gonna be a looong day. Either he expresses distaste on that Blastmon or the Nise Drimogemon himself. However, usually this is work of bureaucrats instead... So he'll just point his annoyance at the Blastmon yet again.
"...So it's there," Yuuki muttered, nodding. The twins briefed about their strength and form, which is great in his opinion. Yuuki checked his D-Terminal. He shortly put on his goggles and put the helmet on. This obviously unable to protect him from any cave-ins, but at least he'll have better protection with this. "...OK, looks like I can do it now... I'll brief you about Hikaru's, then. Hikaru at the moment have access to two forms. This and his armor adult. In this form, he can use light and ice attack, he also can heal you a bit... but considering that there are no place for flying... I think we'll resort to more speedy form. Hikaru?"
"Agreed, but I'd ask you guys if it's not too much to protect Yuuki if the battle got dangerous... now I dunno what about you, Colin, but you can ride me if you want to save time."
Immediately, the Dorugamon degenerate to his child form.
"Now, Digimental Up!"
After a black object shot out from Yuuki's digivice to the Dorumon, he assumed more... canine form. Those which looks more to wolf.
"Canisdramon! In this form I'm more light based and stealthlike. I'm also mostly immune to laser attacks... well, if it's ABOVE my capability, though, I can't take it. I'm also speedier than my original adult form, just for your information. Now..."
Yuuki immediately rides Hikaru. "...What about you, Colin? Good or do you need a ride?"

Timothy silently observed what NiseDrimogemon said and nodded, "Alright... We can deal with it..." He then turns to Yuuki and Colin, I have my armor champions."
He then held out his Digivice and said, "Bibi, Faluo, armor digivolve!" Bibi and Faluo both were encompassed in bright lights as two digimentals shot out of the digivice towards the pair. Once the light had ended, Bibi had been replaced by Halsemon and Faluo had been replaced by Shurimon. Timothy smiled to the two as he climbed on Bibi's back, "Guys, meet Bibi and Faluo's armor champions. Halsemon and Shurimon, Halsemon is a flier and Shurimon works best with lots of room to move, so don't expect much outta me." He then blinked a moment as he almost forgot his helmet and safety goggles. He climbed off Bibi and grabbed them as Bibi laughed a little and said, "He's forgetful, makes him fun!" Faluo was going to slap Bibi, but couldn't because of his arms, "Bibi, just shut up before I lose my self control..."
This made Bibi laugh a little more as Timothy climbed back on, "Alright, are we all good to go?"

Honestly, the old timer mole wasn't one to really try and comment their battle plan. He was an old man who really had nothing to do with fighting, so whatever these kiddos had planned; he was at confident they knew what they were doing. Maybe. "Well. I got nuthin' to say else really. Good luck kids. If ya don't come back within a few hours, we just gonna assume you boys are lost or stuck in a cave-in. That or perished, but we'd all prefer the latter no?" The old mon would comment before walking off, the light starting to hurt his eyes.
Nice kids he thought. Better hope they were good fighters too.
The entrance to this section of the mines had some signs embedded in the soil, giving an alert to the mining operation's employees to avoid working in this particular vein. Soft echos that sounded like they came from deep below could be felt under one's feet, echos of the target's rampage. The only lighting were various electric lamps built into the walls, though some had been dislodged and were on the ground. Small bits of rubble were strewn the deeper down the path the group travelled, abandoned pickaxes and carts filled with gleaming jewels and other minerals left behind by the fleeing miners taking up space. All in all, it had a very gloomy atmosphere that had a very foreboding feeling to it.
Several minutes of walking and traversing the pathways that were marked on the map, the entrance to the mines was long obscured by the dreary darkness that filled these depths. Beyond the rumbles that steadily grew louder the farther you all traveled, nothing stirred within these mines beyond your own footsteps. At least supposedly.

"Heh, nice" Bellamy said, nodding with approval at Hikaru's Armor Adult form. "Alright, don't worry, we'll make sure Kenkimon's attacks don't get ya if we can help it" he assured him about Yuuki. "Same to you guys" he promised the bird twins about Timothy.
Colin looked up at Yuuki as he asked if he needed a ride. "Well, alright, I wouldn't say no" Colin said, nodding. He jumped up on Hikaru's back behind Yuuki. Bellamy and Luke meanwhile walked on either side.
"You know you should think about wearing a helmet too, Bellamy" Luke said. The Dynammon naturally wore a studded metal helmet with holes for his ears.
"Bah, I'll be fine" Bellamy said, preferring his comfortable suave hat. "My hat's stronger than it looks you know".
They watched Timothy show his partners too, it seemed both of them could evolve to Armor Adult level as well. "Alright... hopefully we can do this" Luke said, hoping that it would only take a few hits with his electric attacks to take down Kenkimon. Armor Adults weren't that strong in taking hits.
They entered the mine. It was quite dark at first, but thankfully some electric lights were still activated to light their way. Colin, Luke and Bellamy's eyes adjusted to the darkness. Bellamy and Luke had their weapons drawn, Bellamy's Oro Salmon gun rested against his shoulder, while Luke's blasters were gripped in each paw in their dual wield mode.
As they walked, the ground shook below. Colin couldn't feel much on Hikaru's back, but the twins grew a little nervous. Bellamy's devil-may-care smile faltered a little as rocks shook from the roof, while Luke's ears twitched nervously. They passed a cart full of gems, Luke's eyes widened, he was surprised to see so many.
"Wow, that's a pretty good yield" he remarked, hoping to change the subject from the impending battle up ahead. "This mine's really rich, no wonder they want it back up and running again".
He knew the rule of look and don't touch though, so he continued walking.
"What's the plan when we first face him?" Colin asked the group.
"I think we should take him down as fast as possible" Bellamy said. "The longer the fight goes on, the more of a risk of cave-ins. So we should get a good shot, then use our strongest attacks first".
Luke and Colin were a bit surprised to hear Bellamy speak so seriously, but both were grateful.
"Okay. Think we can do that?" Colin asked the group as a whole.

Hikaru of course started to pace himself, his speedy form slightly faster than his adult form. Yuuki attempted to hang on with just one arm, and he know this would be difficult, but at least he's used to it. The winds that blew toward his face, although not as bad as when in the surface, just tells him how fast his partner is... yet, that fast partner is currently analyzing the surrounding. Both him and Yuuki have eyes that can see in dark as clear as day, so they could look for clues better.
...They seem to evacuated in hurry..." Hikaru muttered, looking at pickaxes. "...That's a bit suspicious. Just how strong is this Kenkimon?" he wondered. "The job detail is also suspicious. Adult and Perfect, it's almost like they're expecting that rampaging thing would evolve. Of course, I'm not ruling out there might be a chance of cave ins and that's the reason of them evacuating... But if the employees are at least child stage, they could easily shut down that thing..."
"...Maybe they'll be overwhelmed by the terror or there's a... certain weakness that Kenkimon can use against the other worker... There's also moral..."
"I hope you're right," Hikaru muttered.
The gems are suspicious, or at least Hikaru thought. What are they for? Why is it so precious? He have no idea, but he is not willing to do extensive research on them, lest Blastmon suddenly had funny idea that they're trying to stole one of them...
"...This is still.. too silent for a normal incident of what Nise Drimogemon would say," Hikaru suddenly quipped. "I mean... there's only the sound of our footsteps... Did it goes further because it anticipated us? Or there's other thing? I'm a bit worried," he muttered.
