Marshal had sure cleaned up quickly. With a renewed sense of vigor, he had rushed home and explained everything to his mother. She wasn't entirely sure what her son was talking about, but Christine North was supportive and told him that she'd be willing to call the school and excuse him from class for as long as it took, as long as he was feeling better once more.
Within an hour, Marshal had cleaned himself up and was on the train with Maia to the Digital World. Unfortunately, they couldn't fly immediately to Snowflake Village, since Coronamon wasn't with them, so they had to catch a series of Trailmon to get to their destination. After a long trek up north, they had finally arrived at the quiet village. It was still a bit of an eyesore, but rebuilding seemed to be going well, slowly but surely. PROFIT had seen to at least part of that, with the inn that they were building bringing more visitors to the town. More visitors meant more people willing to help out to restore the village, after all!
"This is where I left him," Marshal told Maia, who had brought Kuu along. "I can't sense him, though. Since we did that crazy fusion thing, sensing Coronamon's feelings and stuff has been really easy. Maybe he's not here?"

After heading home to collect Kuu, Maia had notified her father about a friend having troubles, and asked him to cover for her until she came home. Unlike Marshal, talking with her mom about anything Digital was just a bad idea. Luckily, her dad was more than understanding, and shooed the two off after giving the pipefox another bite of his sandwich.
Now that the group was finally on-track for finding Coronamon, Maia was beginning to grow nervous. What if something had happened to the fire cat since Marshal had left him behind? Hopefully, it hadn't, but one had to consider worst-case scenarios.
"He must have left?" It would only make sense. The Digital World didn't run on Human World time, after all. How long did that mean Coronamon had been alone for? But, there was a pause, while the blonde tried to think about what Marshal said. "Sensing?" That sounded like a weird feeling to share with a partner.
Kuu sniffed the air, trying to pick up any trace of his friend that he could. "I don't sniff him! I think you're right!" The innocent fox blinked, curling around his tamer's neck, "I still don't get why you'd leave Coronamon alone, anyway. He's super awesome." Kuu really needed to learn not to rub salt in wounds.

"Yeah," Marshal confirmed to his fellow Tamer. "At some point in our time together, I started getting a certain feeling whenever Coronamon was nearby. After a while, I got better and better at it until I was able to sense where Coronamon was and how he was feeling at any given moment, as long as he was somewhat close."
Kuu's comment stung a bit. Marshal winced, but knew how Kuu could be sometimes. "You're right, buddy," he said sadly. "I don't know why I left him alone, either."
The group approached the inn where Marshal had left his partner and friends. Marshal walked briskly into the lobby, and noticed his D-Arc and card deck sitting at the front desk. Koharu and her Digimon seemed to be out at the moment, but there was a SnowAgumon sitting at the front desk, instead. "Ah, Mr. North!" the creature said upon the group's entry. "Koharu said you'd be coming eventually. Welcome back!"
Marshal walked over to his stuff slowly and stared at it for a few moments. He seemed apprehensive. "Hi," he said sheepishly to the front desk attendant. For some reason, he was starting to get nervous again. He raised his hand to pick up his D-Arc, but couldn't bring it back down to actually touch the device.

Maia mulled over the thought of being able to sense her partner when he was close by. Though, maybe her's was just a sense of 'Kuu never actually leaves her side' rather than anything else! It was hard enough to keep him from drowning in the shower some days! "I can't say that Kuu and I ever have that feeling." Maybe Marshal was just special. Ah well. Maia didn't need to have a sense like that.
But, if she could have a sense for when Kuu was going to say something insensitive? That would be fantastic. "We'll find him, though," she commented, softly, while tapping her own Digimon on the nose as some form of useless punishment. Especially useless, considering the fox decided to lick her hand for getting too close! Ew. Digi-spit!
Subtly wiping her hand off on her jacket, the tamer trailed behind Marshal as they went to enter the inn. This was where Coronamon had been? For how long, she had to wonder. Rather than staying in her own thoughts, the girl leaned forward to place a hand on Marshal's shoulder. "This is the first step to getting him back," she hummed, trying to sound gentle about the topic. "Why are you hesitating?"
Luckily, for once, Kuu remained silent.

Maia's question was a good one. Why was he hesitating? He had come all the way back to the Digital World, but a feeling in the pit of his stomach still gnawed at him. He shook his head and grabbed the D-Arc. It felt perfect in his hand, just as it always had. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. He turned around and smiled at Maia and Kuu. "Alright," he said, messing with a few of the menus, "Let's get going!" He walked out, waiting for Maia to follow, and pressed a button on his Digivice. After pointing it away from him, a beam of light shot out onto the ground and a mass of data jumbled together to form a sleek, orange motorcycle. He hopped on and revved the engine a bit as he waited for the pair to get on the back.

Oh, good. Whatever had made the other tamer hesitate must have settled! Or, at least, that's what Maia wanted to think was the case! Maybe it was just a bad case of nerves. Totally natural! If not, the girl wasn't going to pry on the subject. After all, it wasn't like Marshal had answered her question! And, if he didn't want to, she didn't want him to.
At least the tamer seemed to take Marshal's smile as a positive sign.
Turning on her heel, Maia followed behind Marshal, curious as to what he was doing on his digivice. Was there anything on it that could help them find Coronamon? The answer wasn't necessarily denying it, but the blonde hadn't imagined the assistance being in the form of a motorcycle! "I need to get one of these," the girl mumbled, mostly to herself, while tucking Kuu's tail into her jacket to help prevent him from blowing away in the case he forgot to hold on. One could never be too careful with a weird monster like him! And, this didn't need to become a mission in finding both Coronamon and Kuu!
Slipping onto the back of the motorcycle, Maia shifted to hold onto Marshal. She really hadn't been on one of these that weren't on a city's street! How different would it be? Then again, Maia had never really taken Marshal as the type to drive a motorcycle.
Which, Kuu must have been thinking, too, considering the fox was quick to chirp, "neat! Marshal! I didn't know that you knew how to drive a motorcycle!" Now he was almost as cool as Alicia! They needed to race each other! Winner would get a sock from Kuu!

Maia and Kuu both seemed shocked that Marshal had a motorcycle. He chuckled. "I don't!" he told Kuu as he let out the clutch. With a violent jerk, the bike shot down the dirt path, and Marshal gave a slight yelp, which quickly turned into cheers of joy. The three of them were well on the way to finding Coronamon.
