Not about many things, but when something catches his interest, he generally goes above and beyond the necessary in learning and/mastering everything related to it. European History? Check. Bodybuilding? Check. HEMA? Double check.

Since he does everything he likes to the extreme, results tend to be, well, extreme.

-Bodybuilder & Nutritionist
Once he took an interest in HEMA, he decided he needed a body that would befit a HEMA practitioner. The before and after pics of the process are shocking in the swiftness of the change.

-Strong Man
Yuma is a young man of large size. Very different from the average Japanese high schooler, Yuma stands at an impressive 193 centimeters, towering over his peers in a manner that some might consider intimidating. His frame does not help matters, the result of his zealous gym going in order to become a better HEMA practitioner, cutting a considerably muscular silhouette that makes his blunt, abrasive nature all the more intimidating.

-Intellect
No genius to be found here, but no poopyhead either. Yuma has never found the japanese school curriculum to be particularly demanding, getting by with relatively good grades without putting in too much effort. This may be due to the fact that unlike most of his more stressed peers, he never really tried to be at the top of the class, saving himself much stress and frustration. He indeed never made it to the top, but his parents never cared for that, so it didn't matter to him either.

Regardless, his mind can retain information for long periods of time, he has little trouble doing simple calculations on the fly, and his knowledge of all high-school level content is sound.

-European History & Folklore Buff
Despite his japanese upbringing, or perhaps because of it, from a young age Yuma took an interest in the European side of his family, finding their history and their bizarre ways fascinating. These days, he could be considered something of a european history buff, having extensive knowledge of the history of the vast majority of europe running about in his brain.

-HEMA practicioner
A little over 4 years before today, he joined the Tokyo based Historical European Martial Arts club, 'Castle Tintagel', for obvious reasons. Before joining, he was a tall, but thin youth with no idea of how to throw a punch, much less how to take one. Much has changed since then. He has since then become an adept practitioner of Ringen, Savate, Bartitsu and Pugilism.

-European Languages
Yuma can write and read a number of European languages almost perfectly, though he can hardly speak them. He can write and read English, French, Italian and German, though of the three, he can only speak English with any fluidity whatsoever.

-Mini-market Clerk
Yuma is in charge of the evening shift at a small market near his parent's house. Because his parents and the owner are sorta friends, and because both he and the owner are kind of assholes, he managed to land himself the job for some easy cash. The shop is rarely ever visited much during the evening hours, so Yuma is free to just do his homework and laze about for a while before closing. That said, he still received the 'training' given to a clerk; or rather, the very simple instructions. He's very good at taking stock, handling cash and giving his clients attitude, as any good teenaged clerk should be. His large frame also happens to be a good criminal deterrent.

-Yuma is a stoic, crude youth with an often abrasive attitude, and dislikes most forms of social interaction that he hasn't personally sought out, as these often interrupt his daydreaming.

-He is an introvert and enjoys his time alone in his room, only seeking the companionship of his few friends and HEMA companions for the most part.

-He is a high schooler. He has an interest in the opposite sex, though he is fairly terrible at engaging it in any form. Too afraid to risk his fragile ego by asking a girl out and getting possibly rejected, the most consistent contact with young women in his life tend to be with family members.

-He is impatient and temperamental by nature. Since he doesn't often talk to people much, he's likely to demand they get to the point if they don't do so immediately.

-Despite his unlikable, faux-stoic demeanor, he is easily moved emotionally. Sad Music, movies, books, videogames, all of them can get to him easily and make him shed tears, much to his frustration.

-He is not good at compromising, it being usually a hit to his young, fragile ego when his hand is forced and he must back down or alter his course of action due to somebody else.

Yuma is tall for a young man, especially for one of Asian descent. He stands at around 193 centimeters and is a dozen pounds over 200lbs. He has wide shoulders and well-defined musculature. There's a healthy layer of body fat over his body, keeping him away from the 'ripped' gym look. He tends to stand in a lazy slouch, making him look somewhat smaller than he actually is.

One of his grandparents was European, likely the reason for Yuma's most distinctive features after his height. Namely, his facial structure, which differs from the average Japanese man. He has a distinctly outlined jaw line, making his masculine nature obvious to anyone. He has almond-shaped eyes just a touch larger than the average Japanese man, a straight, greek nose, and light brown eyes. He has relatively short, spiky, light brown hair, which he usually keeps under a hat or cap of sorts when allowed to.

A youth born in Osaka who's family later moved to Tokyo. His mother's father was a man of European descent who would often visit their home from abroad, bringing gifts and filling Yuma's head with tales and stories of European culture and folklore. Yuma grew up somewhat obsessed with his european heritage, and adopted many of his grandfather's mannerisms as he grew up.

Sadly, his grandfather was a man from a bygone era, and to say that he was a poor rolemodel would have been putting it mildly. Despite the way he showered his young grandson with love, it went without saying that the man was kind of an asshole, being a stoic, blunt as a hammer antisocial man for the most part with little care for propriety and a tad too much love for the bottle for it to be healthy.

Yuma's interest in European Culture and folklore drove him to read up and investigate on everything he could find on the subject, to the point that by the age of 12, he had manage to teach himself to read and write the basics of 4 new languages just so he could read more on the matter, first learning english, then german, then italian, and lastly french.

Because he took some of his grandfather's more... prominent features, Yuma frequently found himself at odds with his peers while emulating his grandfather, and despite being considerably taller than the other children, often found himself on the receiving end of a beatdown once things got physical. His refusal take anything back made things go physical all too often.

By the time he was 13, it was beginning to become too much of an issue. Naturally, upon seeing this on another one of his visits, his grandfather knew just how to handle the issue.

Pugilism, or the art of bare-knuckle fighting, was, as his grandfather liked to put it, "what boxing used to be before a bunch of pansies got their manicured hands on it". Unfortunately, his grandfather rarely stayed long in Japan, so before he could really teach the boy much the date of his farewell began to close in on them.

So the old man had to find a quick alternative.

Finding a HEMA club in Tokyo proved to be surprisingly easy, and after paying a few months of tuition in advance, the old man left his grandson in the care of the club's masters.

He took to learning mostly physical forms of Martial Arts; cool as learning to wield a sword sounded, his grandfather convinced him that it wouldn't be very useful for dealing with his detractors at school. Bartitsu, Savate, Pugilism, Ringen... these would become his bread and butter.

A local boxing gym by his home became another place he frequented, often before school in the early mornings. Practicing what he learned on the ring was good, and being able to lift weights was even better.

Come the next school quarter, those kids at school would get what was coming to them, he would make sure of it.

Except, they didn't. They really didn't.

By the time school had resumed, puberty had begun to hit Yuma. Hard. He was much taller than his peers, and his training both at the club and at the gym was beginning to show, specially next to most of his classmates lanky, awkwardly proportioned classmates. He didn't even need to throw a punch; most kids were too afraid to give him sass.

Naturally, this did little to help his social life. Kids were evading him now, as opposed to ignoring him outright, and with nobody around him to speak to, he found himself slowly becoming more and more comfortable with himself in his lonesome. He was slowly beginning to dislike having to deal with people at all.

He continued to practice HEMA and go to the gym, though there was little purpose in it now; it was just a habit. It was a healthy habit at that, keeping his body active and his aggression externalized at something.

Yuma felt that high school was no harder than middle school, academically wise. Socially-wise, he found it much easier than middle school. He didn't have many friends, but he also didn't have anyone willing to mess with him. And since he was comfortable in his lonesome... Win-win, right?

Flash forward Four years, and little has changed. Yuma is still adhering to the same schedule religiously. 2 years before, he added an evening shift at a nearby mini-market as a half-time job, in order to make some cash to get a laptop of his own.

He's grown taller and heavier, and is considered good enough to introduce newbies to some styles of HEMA at the club, provided they don't get scared away by him.

He hasn't made too many friends in the past 4 years, but that's fine, he prefers to be alone regardless.

Recently, strange events have been occurring all over the city, and the net has been going crazy. It hasn't interested him, however.

More importantly, his laptop has been acting strangely, lately...

Essentially a wild beast gifted with intellect, Agumon utilizes every chance and opportunity it has been given in order to further its survival and growth. It was born while trapped in a strange, pocket reality which it could immediately tell was not were it was supposed to be. Upon gaining consciousness, it found itself showered with food, before immediately getting thrown into a battle with a mirror image of itself.

Agumon is capable of speech, but much like its tamer, it chooses to forego it, finding communication to be of little worth. Agumon seeks to further its own strength, and as such, protects his weak tamer from any dangers, as it has realized that its accelerated growth is tied to the human youth.

Though at first glance he appears to be calm and domesticated, it is but a thin facade that belies his true desires. Make no mistake; if you feel there's hunger in his gaze, you are not imagining things.

He very much desires to consume you.
