Ashers to Ashers, Dust to Dust (Gee I wonder who this is)

"I've gathered." Vademon seemed less than amused by Asher's agreement with his statement. "Such an interesting facet about you humans. You joke about death far more than we do, and yet unlike us you are simply incapable of returning from it," it observed. "Quite the unfortunate thing to learn. And yet my vanguard treats them so roughly, nonetheless. Oh, but do not worry. Specimens such as yourselves are to be handled with the utmost care under my watch."
Isaac's skin crawled from how detached Vademon seemed from everything. Nonetheless, he simply kept creeping behind the alien, moving as slowly and ponderously as possible in order to avoid being detected. As he crept, Vademon continued. "Barbaric? Oh, you simply have the wrong idea about us. Smashing you with sticks and stones would be barbarism. What we seek to do here is simply test," it explained. "Your limits. Your capabilities. What makes you tick. What prevents you from ticking. There are some mistakes along the way, but is a meager slip-up too hefty a price for the betterment of knowledge among us all? And when you all so freely use our world, understanding you better surely isn't much to demand in trade."
Almost there. Isaac's steps grew quicker yet shorter. At this point, he couldn't wait to get his hands on Vademon. As the alien protectively clutched its gun close, Isaac saw his chance. After all, with his front so guarded, there was no way he'd be watching his back. The Devidramon pounced, sending the Vademon tumbling to the ground and its gun spiraling out of its hands. The two slid into a more stable position, Isaac's claw pinning Vademon to the ground as his razor-sharp tail pointed at its head. "Alright, if you think you're gonna be running any more experiments on us, you've got another thing coming. Now, show us where the exits are, or this is gonna get ugly, okay?" Isaac snarled, tail twitching with anticipation. He was itching for a fight.
Unfortunately, it seemed Vademon was too. Its head started pulsing as it jabbed a finger in Isaac's face, the Devidramon scrambling for solid ground as it started levitating. Once fully lifted in the air, Vademon shifted its point from Isaac to Asher. Immediately the levitating dragon was launched towards Asher, spiraling through the air and flaring out his wings to avoid any actual collision.
"Very well then! This shall be quite the productive experiment," Vademon remarked, cracking its floppy, tentacle-like fingers. It was time to get to work.

Man, Vademon wasn't easy to humor, was it? "Hey, I mean, if we're gonna die anyway," the crow hummed, "may as well have fun with it while we can, right?" Some people used it as a form of coping, others maybe wishful thinking. And, it wasn't like it was something people could avoid! So, why not poke fun at death while they were still alive to do so? But, with the comment of being treated with care, the Nightmare Soldier found himself concealing a scoff. "Oh, I'm sure you will."
While few may have agreed that this was the price to pay for curiosity, Asher was less interested in responding. What was the point in arguing with a talking brain-monster, anyway? It was probably only capable of analytical thought, rather than emotional. Trying to get anything through it's brain was probably impossible! Unless, of course, it was literal impalement of an object.
Oh, that sounded like a good idea.
Which, Isaac must have agreed upon, considering he was suddenly on top of the Vademon. Well. Asher was going to have to remember that the younger teen was actually willing to fight someone! Mostly for future reference on how much damage could actually come from pissing the guy off. It was certainly a good thing that their last discussion had taken place inside of a house, wasn't it?
Shifting to the side, Yatagaramon didn't seem willing to test it's partner's ability to fully stop from crashing into him. That couldn't be a trust issue at all! "I feel like threatening him was a bad call," the teen finally commented, as the ornaments on the crow's wings glittered, triggering Fire Jewels. A flaming ball rocketed from each wing, and toward the Vademon, while Asher took a step back. Okay, fighting as a giant bird monster was more than a little weird to him! Why did everything have to seem so violent?

Isaac stopped short just a few inches before Asher. It was definitely a good idea that the older teen got out of the way, because it could've been a pretty discomforting collision otherwise. "Got any better plans? 'Cause sitting around and undergoing more tests would've been a pretty crappy one," Isaac asked, hovering back and forth to try and find a proper angle for attack. " 'Sides, it's two-on-one, and I know you're tougher than you let on. We'll be able to fight our way out of here no problem."
Speaking of tougher than he looks, Asher's fireballs careened towards Vademon at great speeds. In a panic it raised a hand, creating a small, shimmering disc in front of it. While it was able to move the disc far enough to block one fireball, the other slammed it solidly in the side. It bounced back from the impact, pulling up its screen to jot down a few more notes. "Fairly strong, albeit yet to be properly tempered. Needs further examination . . . " Vademon muttered, closing the screen again after taking its notes.
Unfortunately, in that time it spent distracted, Isaac was able to get back into position. The light above Vademon was blocked by Isaac's wide-spread wings, following by the Devidramon landing tail-first in a vicious stab. The sharp tail sliced through Vademon's lower body, leaving it pinned to the floor. Its eyes widened in pain as Isaac asked "Enjoyed that test?"
Unfortunately, Isaac didn't expect Vademon's lower body to start unraveling. Its tentacle-like torso and legs unfurled, leaving Isaac's tail now stabbed through nothing. "And here, hotly tempered yet improperly aware. Situational awareness tests would benefit to see if this is folly due to rage or a personal failing . . ."
That earned a blunt claw-smash to the head. That got Vademon's head ringing, the alien invader letting out a sigh as it lurched back. "Unfortunately, far too impatient for mere testing. A pity," it remarked, coiling up Isaac's long, serpentine body to escape and sliding down its back. By the time it slid down it recovered its gun, firing a pulse of rings in Asher's general direction. "Reaction time?" it asked, the rings expanding the further they traveled towards Asher. They almost looked wide enough to travel through.

Maybe this suggestion was going to be a little too far, but Asher didn't really care about it at this point. "Some people would say 'shoot first, ask later,' I think," he scoffed, lowly. Not that the teen wanted to encourage anything that would mentally scar Isaac, and surely the thought of actually hurting someone would cause the kid distress.
Or, uh, maybe not. Considering Isaac had just tried to stab the weird squid monster. Again, noting to keep the younger teen in situations where he couldn't digivolve, if intending on provoking him! Though, was Vademon just going to keep taking notes on all of this stuff? "Is this actually fun for you?" Could Vademon feel emotions enough to identify what fun was? Or was everything simply 'for science' or something typical like that?
Not moving much, to avoid getting in the Devidramon's way, Asher simply watched the attempts to cause some sort of lasting damage to the enemy. It really didn't seem to be working. Especially since Vademon was doing fine enough to shoot at him! Darn it! Yatagaramon debated for a second, while grumbling a, "are you seriously testing me on this? This is like a really lame game!"
But, 'almost' looking big enough to travel through was going to have to cut it, because Asher really didn't feel like actually getting hit with any of this! Lifting himself the best he could in the space provided, the crow beat its wings to lift off the ground, propelling itself through the ring as it tucked appendages in. Of course, again, being 'almost' meant that the spirit user found himself caught in part of the attack, but continued through anyway. Combining the necessary spreading of wings again to catch itself and an attack that required a similar motion, a blade of wind would try to target the Vademon from Wing Blades.
Of course, it had to be a little more carefully placed, to avoid catching Devidramon in the attack at all. That single second of hesitation, and care toward a person he was trying to make dislike him, was more than enough to have the spirit user kicking himself.

Isaac's eyespots opened in shock as Asher suggested a course of action that, frankly, seemed cold even by his standards. Sure, in the Digital World it was fight or fall, but Isaac often preferred to intimidate or startle foes before going right to the violence. He may not have been as charming as his little brother, but any fight that could be averted with words was a fight Isaac would choose to avoid. The idea of just attacking someone was foreign to him, even one as driven as this Vademon. "Seriously? Come on, you wouldn't do that, right?" he asked, wondering what happened to Asher's super strong aversion to violence.
Vademon tilted its head curiously at Asher's question. "Business before pleasure, I'm afraid. Although, the truly gifted manage to make it both," Vademon remarked, a knowing smile spreading across the face. The smile only widened as Vademon noticed a small bit of its ring clipping into Asher. "For a lame game, results are quite telling. Subject is a risk-taker, and seems uncaring of the harm it causes to itself when it spots an opportunity."
Once more Vademon's note-taking was interrupted, the wind blade sharply slicing across its shoulder. Isaac took advantage of Asher's half-second hesitation to twist out of the way of the attack, looking in the direction Vademon was hit from and firing a cloud of freezing black mist in response. Still stunned from Asher's hit, Vademon found itself unable to escape the black cloud.
That was when the walls started to vibrate.
Isaac looked around to see what was going on, only to notice metallic purple splinters tearing from the rounded walls of Vademon's room. The Digimon's brain was pulsing at a mile a minute, dragging the splinters towards itself in order to harness them as weapons. They swirled around the room in a tornado of psychic energy, Isaac quickly flinging himself to the floor in order to avoid being carved up by shrapnel.

Okay, yeah, a response like that was an obvious indicator that Asher should not have given that suggestion. Mouth opened, to respond, but snapped shut with thoughts interrupting any coherent sentence that he tried to create. Lie. It was the best option, really! But, the truth might actually succeed in Isaac not liking him. What a problem! Eyes shifted to stare at the other spirit user, struggling on if he really wanted to go with honesty right now. Lies were what could keep Devidramon his ally right now, after all. "I don't think you actually want me to answer that."
If doing something immoral kept Isaac safe? Asher was willing to do it. And, that wasn't an answer that a lot of people wanted to hear. On top of that, the teen really didn't want Vademon to hear it!
It seemed like Vademon already knew too much, anyway, considering that horribly accurate evaluation. That wasn't okay! At least a team-effort had silenced the brain-squid for the time being, and Asher placed his feet on the ground again, rolling his shoulders a little. Ugh, that was way too close.
Oh, and now the walls were vibrating. That was totally normal, right? Please be something normal! The spirit user really wasn't used to anything in the Digital World! Talk about a serious crash course! "Oh, you're kidding me," he huffed, trying to lower himself and use his wings to shield himself some. The Nightmare Soldier could only imagine that this wasn't going to feel great. And, in fact, it already didn't, as some of the debris scraped through his feathers.
But, rather than focusing on himself again, Yatagaramon looked toward the younger teen, trying to check on his current handling of the situation. It seemed lucky that the crow's attacks felt more accessible than others, which he still had little idea of how to properly harness. For instance, utilizing Defender. A flash of energy that placed itself in front of Isaac, to at least try to shield the Devidramon from some of the shrapnel. If all else failed, at least the spirit user had something to hide behind?
This was why threatening people first wasn't always the best idea.

Isaac ducked down as the shrapnel started spinning around, tucking his head and body beneath his wings and claws. The more he coiled himself together, the less chance there would be of anything actually hitting him. As he squeezed his eyes shut and prepared himself for the onslaught of shards, however, he found one of them actually hitting him. Instead they were bouncing off of a strange shimmer of energy that had formed around him. He blinked in surprised, then turned to look at the much more cut-up Asher. "You're kidding," Isaac muttered as he noticed the scraping.
It didn't take long for Isaac to snap into action, immediately leaping in front of Asher and coiling around him. "Get behind me, okay?" he said, hoping the shield would be able to hold up long enough for the two of them to both be sheltered. It'd probably be a lot more strained now that it was protecting two targets instead of merely one, but at the very least Isaac would be able to make sure Asher didn't get too hurt.
Isaac was far too focused on protecting Asher to protect, however. In fact, he was too focused on protecting Asher to even notice the smashing sound coming from the top of the room. Not that Vademon noticed, either. It looked around, watching as some shrapnel slammed off of the bubble and into the walls. "Hmm. Have I grabbed more shrapnel than I intended? It sounds awfully loud . . . will investigate further . . ." it mused.
That was when the smashing got even louder. Smashing turned to crashing, which turned to cracking, which turned into the ceiling of the room caving inwards. The small doorway that Vademon had entered through fell back into the room, a Gargoylemon falling shortly after it. Snatchmon finally snapped into action, trying to rush the intruder, only to be lifted and smashed viciously into a wall. The chains surrounding the Gargoylemon practically shattered off of its face as it roared accusingly in Snatchmon's general direction.
That finally got Isaac's attention, the Devidramon snickering slightly as he watched the action unfold. "Oh, you're in trouble now," he warned, Vademon cocking the fleshy impression of an eyebrow curiously.

Bad ideas, all of this! Asher was heavily regretting wandering alone at some ruins, helping Isaac out of the chambers, the wave pool, being so passive, and-- Oh, this really hurt! Maybe he really was stupid! This whole thing was beyond ridiculous, and what was Asher doing? Being scraped and thoroughly cut up. And absolutely nothing else.
Ignore the part where he was keeping Isaac safe. Right now the bird was focusing on all of the mess-ups!
But, Devidramon's voice tore into the thoughts, and... Well, nothing else was. "I'm fine," the crow muttered, shifting to better move behind the shield regardless. Pride didn't stop the pain. Shields did, at least some! Not that it was going to be able to hold much longer, anyway. Though, what was that sound? Probably more shrapnel. Don't focus on it. Think about how the heck to get Isaac out of here.
Except, thinking was hurting, and the teen really couldn't come up with any escape plan. Murder Vademon? Would that save Isaac? Could Asher even do that? Not morally, but physically? The bird likely wasn't built for combat with a psychic, and he couldn't see an easy way to get any of this to work out in his favor. Maybe, if he tried to make a deal with the squid-brain? It probably wouldn't work. Bargains were pretty hard to make, when he wasn't the one holding all of the cards. Or any of them, for that matter! This was going to take some thought.
Or maybe not. Now there was someone else in the room, wasn't there? Looking up, Yatagaramon found itself staring at the newcomer. Or, were they really all that new? Isaac seemed to be aware of who it was. And, wow, did it seem angry? There really weren't many identities that Asher knew to pick for the monster that had just stolen the show. "That's not Elliot, is it?"

Isaac smirked proudly at Asher's question. "You bet that's Elliot!" he cheered. "I don't usually see him taking this form, though. Then again, he's probably been worried sick about me, so I can't say I'm surprised." Come to think of it, that was really weird. Elliot had been very vocal to Isaac about how distasteful he found Gargoylemon. Hell, he even found Devidramon a bit uncomfortable. The fact that he was matching up with the form so well was either a major breakthrough or a sign that something was quite wrong here.
Vademon didn't seem to catch onto either. It simply turned to the new arrival, head tilted inquisitively. "A new arrival, not properly run through its initial testing?" it asked, shooting an accusatory look towards the dazed Snatchmon. As Vademon spoke, Elliot turned slowly yet purposefully towards it. "Please, do forgive me for the sloppiness. Now, if I may ask, what are you capable o-"
Apparently, what Elliot was capable of included dishing out major pain. Before the Vademon even finished talking Elliot had lifted his hands, a quartet of stone pillars bursting from the ground around it. With a clench of Elliot's fist the pillars slammed inward on each other, leaving Vademon obscured between a cloud of smoke and rubble.
Unfortunately for Elliot, that didn't mean the fight was over. The rubble shifted slightly, revealing a dazed and confused Vademon surrounded by the shattered remnants of a bubble shield. The alien dusted itself off, letting out a weary sigh. "Such strength! A pity it is so unrefined," it remarked. "Now, please, allow me."
Vademon turned the dials on its blaster to a much more powerful setting, the gun practically vibrating from the amount of power it was being forced to output now. As Vademon squeezed the trigger it practically flooded the room with electricity, firing with enough force to smash Vademon right into the wall.
Elliot and Isaac were hit pretty bad by the attack, smoking rising from them as they tried to hold their ground. Elliot strode forward, slowed heavily yet refusing to be daunted, while Isaac focused on taking the brunt of the pain for Asher. "Come on, now's your chance!" he shouted, voice fading in and out due to shock-induced throat contractions.

While it was great to see Elliot, considering he was really helping out the situation, it was also incredibly discomforting. If the Gargoylemon found out that it was Asher in a bird suit, there would probably be emotional issues and that just didn't sound like a good time. Isaac, the teen could handle. Elliot, not quite yet. "Does he usually beat the crap out of people like that, too?"
Well, it seemed that Asher was at least realizing how off that looked. But, hey, if Isaac was the one to talk before fighting while in Digimon form, maybe Elliot was the opposite?
Vademon's beating was well overdue, though. While the crow found himself cringing from the violence, he also let out a small chuckle. After this day being such a pain, watching the obnoxiously analytical digimon getting beaten up was kind of relieving! At the same time, he was reminding himself constantly that this was Elliot, and if he was this mad with a stranger, what would come after the Squid Brain had been defeated?
But, defeat didn't seem to be in it's plans, as an electrical attack filled the room. Talk about alarming! In some attempt to protect itself, Yatagaramon shifted slightly further back from Devidramon. This was crazy! Why was the Digital World absolutely insane? So much violence, and still going! Take a deep breath. Okay.
Okay still really wasn't all that okay. "You are crazy," the bird found himself uttering to Isaac. Sure, it was okay if Asher protected him, but not the other way around! They needed to have some serious words about this! Hypocritical ones, of course, but words nonetheless!
Still, Asher whipped around Isaac to target Vademon. But Elliot. He couldn't actually fight with Elliot here, could he? Isaac, he could take being judged by. But, Elliot? If Yatagaramon didn't hold back, it could really scar Elliot's views of him. If he did, the group could still be in horrible danger. What was more important, here?
Screw maintaining a certain image.
The advantage here was that Vademon was literally against a wall. Less advantage was that Elliot was really not communicating, and Asher had no idea what the kid was thinking of doing. What if he got in the way of an attack? Using this thought pattern, the teen ignored most logical ranged attacks, and decided to swoop toward the Vademon, super-heated claws extending to gouge at the target, regardless of easily placing himself in harm's way in the process. Flaming Claw seemed like the safest option to avoid being repetitive enough to be predictable, while not risking anyone else getting in the way of the attack.
And, hey: no pain, no gain, right? Vademon seemed to be following that logic, so why not Asher, too?

Isaac blinked at Asher's question. If he was noticing it too, it couldn't just be Isaac's own insecurities at work here. "I don't know," he said, voice a mix of confusion and pain. "Like, don't get me wrong. He's one hell of a natural at fighting. But I don't think he's usually done it so . . . wildly?" At this point, it was clear the discomfort in Isaac's voice wasn't just coming from being fried. "He's just worried. I'm sure of it."
When it came to craziness, Isaac wasn't even half as crazy as Asher seemed to be. At least Isaac was blocking for the purposes of defense. Asher just seemed to be flinging himself headfirst into the fight, a singed and battered Isaac letting out an irritable sigh as he realized he was sopping up damage for nothing. Then again, the damage Asher was spared might have come in handy here. While he may have been singed by any remaining lightning, he would've been in much fresher shape for that diving Flaming Claw. The smash sent Vademon reeling, its unstable practically exploding as it flew out of its hands. Not that it was a big surprise. When it was already on the brink of overheating, a flaming strike was all it took to send it over the edge.
That left Vademon wide open for an attack from Elliot, the Gargoylemon leaping over Vademon and smashing at the ceiling of the room. Stones began raining down from the spot he smashed at, cascading onto Vademon's quite sizable head. That seemed to do the trick. It stumbled back, brain pulsating slightly, before slumping against the wall. "Alright, alright, halt the testing," it started. "It is clear I have underestimated you lo-"
Elliot didn't seem to want to listen to the truce. Instead he lifted the Vademon up by its neck, snarling as it drew back a hand. Jagged, crystalline claws seemed to extend from his fingers, prepared to strike. Isaac wasn't going to take that long enough. "Elliot, stop! It surrendered!" he shouted, Elliot's head snapping over to Isaac's location.
Elliot gruffly dropped the alien, obediently starting to head back over to Isaac. That is, of course, until he noticed the other Digimon in the room. He snarled in a territorial fashion as he glared daggers at Asher. His sapphire nail was still extended, and it was as if he didn't even recognize who he was talking to.

The lightning definitely made Asher feel like this was an awful choice in attack. But, anything ranged could have gotten Elliot hurt, couldn't it? Already beaten from the shrapnel prior, all of this was just making the teen's body scream at him. But, that didn't stop him from finishing his attack, and backing off just in time for Elliot to be terrifying some more. While he could hear Vademon's serious misinterpretation on this being a consenting test, his own head was pounding too much to focus at the unfolding scene.
Using all three feet to keep himself steady, the crow took a deep breath. Okay, he really wasn't used to hurting like this. Getting beaten up as a human was a totally different matter than this. Usually, he wasn't such a baby about a few scrapes. Though, was it really only a few? Asher hadn't even taken a moment to look at himself, and he had this strong feeling that he really didn't want to. On top of a voice in the back of his head, trying to convince him to de-digivolve, Asher had a feeling that he really wasn't up for much more of a fight.
Which was a problem, considering Elliot seemed to be.
"I am not fighting him," the spirit user warned toward Isaac, while sliding a foot back. After all, he didn't want to either brother to think that he was willing to harm the other! And, the fact that Elliot had to be called off of Vademon was enough to let Asher get the idea that the kid wasn't fully there, mentally. Maybe, Asher really was going to die in this place? Talk about dramatic thinking. That wasn't going to happen. "How many times did you say he's used this form?" With any luck, the beast was just being threatening, but Asher had to consider worst case scenarios here! Something wasn't quite right! Especially when Vademon was the only one being threatening to the group!

Isaac shot a nervous look at Asher as the lowly-growling Elliot started slowly stepping forward. "I mean, uh . . . almost never?" he said. Immediately it hit him that if something didn't happen, things could get ugly. He quickly lunged in front of Elliot, hunching protectively as intimidating brownish-green smoke wafted from his nostrils. "Elliot, stand down! Now! You beat up the bad guy. There's no need to keep this up, okay?"
Elliot did not seem to be listening. As Isaac looked his brother over, he noticed that the chains surrounding Gargolyemon's form had all been snapped off. "Oh, shit," he muttered under his breath, realizing that if Gargoylemon had been pushed to that point he was probably way too far gone to reason with. "Asher? You might want to start proving to Elliot that this is you. 'Cause I don't think he can hear me right now."
As if on cue Elliot leaped forward, trying to grab for what he saw as another strange, suspicious threat. As much as it pained Isaac, he had to body-check him in order to keep him away from Asher. "No! If you don't change form, I'm gonna have to break you out of it. Don't make me do this, Elliot," Isaac hissed.
The Gargolyemon was clearly equally reluctant to hit Isaac, but he had no such qualms against targeting Asher. He flung out his wings, shards of light appearing at the tips. He blew them towards Asher in a storm, Isaac just seconds too late to bowl his rampaging brother over. He quickly tried to restrain the Gargoylemon, who now settled for glaring and roaring at Asher.
"God, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry . . ." Isaac muttered under his breath, worriedly looking towards Asher to see if he'd be scratched up by Elliot's attack.

Watching Elliot take a step forward, the crow mirrored with a step back. Do not get into arm's reach of a dangerous creature. Especially one that seemed very capable of snapping his neck! "This really doesn't sound in my favor right now," he predicted, panic beginning to lace his tone. "If he can't hear you, I don't see how he's going to hear me!" Isaac was the only reason that Vademon hadn't been completely destroyed! If he couldn't stop Elliot from hurting Asher, what chance did the actor have?
"How am I supposed to prove anything to him, anyway? I'm not going back into a squishier form to make it visually obvious!" Sure, Elliot might recognize Renamon or Kinkakumon. Or even Asher's human form! But, if he didn't? Then, the teen was royally screwed. Cringing back, the already-injured Yatagaramon took a deep breath as Isaac managed to keep Elliot off of him for the time being. Oh, good. He already hurt enough, as is!
Maybe Asher needed to work up a higher pain tolerance for this kind of line of 'work.'
Watching the attack unfurl, the spirit user took another breath. He could probably use his shield again? But, the will just wasn't there to even defend himself. And, because of that, the attack hit as Gargoylemon had intended. Luckily, the shards of light didn't seem too strong of an attack, though one cut just under the Nightmare Soldier's mask. "N-no, it's fine," he insisted, trying to block out the pain from the additional cuts to his body.
Oh, please don't have any of these bleed through to his human form. It would be so hard to explain!
"I really deserve this. I mean, I couldn't even be bothered to answer his e-mails," the teen tried to rationalize. Isaac had nothing to be sorry for, and he certainly didn't want Elliot to feel guilty for any of this once he came around! It wasn't fair to the kid! "Maybe he's just seriously pissed at me!" To emphasize, Asher let out a small laugh, as if it was all some sort of joke. But, jeez, did a 'joke' have to hurt so much? If he didn't have three feet, he probably wouldn't be able to stand right now!

"You know, that's actually pretty smart. Giving up our only hope, but actually pretty smart," Isaac said. He and Elliot were practically tangled together, Isaac trying to keep him pinned down and Elliot trying to get away and attack Asher. Neither of the two were even willing to hurt the other, but it was clear that something would have to give sooner rather than later. At the very least, Asher seemed free from the grand majority of harm going around. That was one small victory Isaac could tally up.
He was far from enthused about Asher beating himself up, however. "Come on, don't be ridiculous!" he said. "This isn't about the stupid emails. He understands the emails. Besides, if he ever did get upset at you, he'd probably way more teary. Not, you know, murderous. God, Elliot'd never hurt a fly normally . . ." Isaac sounded quite troubled, especially as he found himself with little means of actually turning his brother back to normal.
It seemed like the solution really was going to have to be something drastic. Isaac took in a deep sigh, muttering "I'm sorry," as he harshly jabbed Elliot with a brightly glowing Crimson Nail. The Gargoylemon immediately stopped in its tracks, looking down at the claw. The look of bestial rage in its eyes was replaced with one of hurt and betrayal as it let out a sad, soft growl.
Slowly, the Gargoylemon started to glow a bright white. Isaac quickly pulled his claw out of his de-Digivolving brother, hoping to god this wouldn't actually damage Elliot any. Thankfully, he proved unharmed, simply very dazed and very human as he flopped to the floor. He weakly looked up at Isaac, still shocked. "Why would you do that?" he asked.
Isaac's response was to shrink back down to human form as well, wrapping his little brother in a tight hug. "I had to. You were out of control," he said. "You tried to . . ."
There was no time for words. Instead, tears welled up in Elliot's eyes as he clung to his brother tightly. "I hate that form!" he cried. "I can't stand it, and what it makes me do. I . . ."
Sounds like both brothers really needed somebody right now.
