[Continuing where we left off in Kyobama and Squiren] How they had reached this point? In all honesty, everything began to feel fuzzy. To feel a bit too unreal, in a sense. Lest to say, Kyo was extremely happy. Heck, as happy as a digimon could be right now. Even if the legacy she had built was about to be passed onto others, she had been presented with of her life opportunity. For something new and beautiful to begin, and with the only digimon she had eyes for.
In what would be her ex-office, she felt her eyes getting all wet and teary. She felt happy, of course, but for some reason, the otherwise hardy and strong digimon was crying like a five year old. This moment was just too much for her. Or... maybe she had drank too much already.
Nah, who was she trying to deceive. She was too moved by who would be her ex-vice-president's gesture. She gazed at the piece of jewelry being offered at her, and while that wasn't really her thing, she guessed that Squire wanted to respect that ritual as much as he could. That was fine.
"O-oh my god". She muttered, still not completely believing what was happening. "Y-yes! Of course I will!"
Getting closer, she hugged the dragon man tightly, transmitting all the affection she felt for him on that moment. Whether their relationship would evolve to the next level or not had been something she had been somewhat doubtful about for a while. Obviously enough, that wasn't an issue anymore, but... there was a thing that she didn't know about. After a long while, she undid the hug and gazed directly at his eyes, a questioning look springing on her eyes.
"I know this is super romantic, and I don't want to spoil the moment, but...". Yeah, of course she would, even if she didn't want. It was pretty much her nature to do so. "How exactly does somebody arrange a wedding? I mean, I have watched some in some human movies I saw, those... romantic comedies, I think? But frankly, I have no idea.
Maybe this would be their greatest challenge thus far.

Nervous didn't even begin to describe how he was feeling at that moment. Terrified seemed far more accurate. The possibility of Kyo saying no... well, it existed, and that was enough to ignite deep fear inside him.He hadn't planned this, not for long anyways. He had never been one for plans. More of a spur of the moment kind of guy. The realization that they hadn't been getting any younger came to him on a simple morning. He had found himself rubbing his back, hours upon hours of work making the old thing creak like a rusted doorstep.
They were getting old. Their relationship had stalled. At some point, they had reached a level of comfort among each other and simply settled. Now more than ever, however, he wanted more. They were no longer children, but they were not nearly old enough for their time to have been wasted. Digimon didn't usually make a big deal out of relationships as humans did. And yet, he had found himself perusing books on a subject that was entirely alien to Digimon; too human in nature.
Marriage. Dedicating one's life to another. Few products of the human mind ever held his interest or curiosity for long. But this one... this one had him entranced.
He had found a ring with Yuu's help. An easy enough task for a woman like her. He had steeled his nerves for the occasion, believing he would be ready when the time came. What a silly notion that had been. He hadn't felt this uncertain since he had been but a child, at the crossroad of life without knowing what to do or where to go.
Seeing Kyo's eyes well up with tears was not the response he had been expecting, nor hoping for. Panic settled in his chest for all of a second before his worst fears were swiftly dispelled, finding his arms wrapping themselves around the smaller Digimon's frame.
She had said yes.
His arms pulled her tighter against him, his eyes closing peacefully as he took in a deep breath. Peace of mind filled him, his worst fears now dispelled. It wasn't often everything went as he would hope. Holding Kyo in the privacy of the office they would soon be kicked out of, he felt at peace.
Naturally, Kyo wasn't going to let that last for long.
"Eh?" He replied eloquently, staring at her blankly for a second.
Oh right. Along with the commitment to one another, Marriage also came with grand, beautiful rituals known as 'weddings'.
Rituals in which neither of them had any sort of experience, mind you.
"... We will ask Yuu."

It had been exhilarating, maybe overly so. Those simple moments, when they had been by themselves felt so intimate. In them, she felt a connected with Squire in a way so deep that, in a sense, almost felt like biomerging. But in different bodies and with other kind of feelings.
Regarding the question itself, the Veemon's answer had been... expected. In all honesty, human rituals were a bit cryptic every now and then, and it wasn't like she cared about them. Well, at least not taking into account contextual stuff that made her, for example, understand some movies or games. Like why people was supposed to be afraid of the dark or why spending twelve or more years in the same building made people happy or defined their futures. The concept of wedding was something alike to this, the difference being that she knew a few things about it. Like, that each member of the couple had to pick witnesses and other things. Also, that rings were involved in some way, and that after exchanging those there was a big party. That was the part that she looked forward the most. If the movies didn't outright lie or grossly exaggerated stuff, the amount of alcohol available there would be nothing less than legendary. She was already looking forward to it!
"Yuu, huh." Well, it wasn't much of a surprise. Her partner had helped them with the things they were too "human" for them to undestand. She was resourceful and definitely would be delighted by the news, or at least that's what Kyo expected. In any case, she was sure that they'd have her help, whether reluctantly or not. Lest to say, the blonde was delighted at the idea of organizing a wedding. Compared to running a presidential campaign, that'd have proven to be child's play, even. Plans were made at a blistering fast speed, and at the respectable time of one month and one week, everything had already been set up. Who was going to be invited, the church, the gifts and even the the decorations of the bathrooms.
It had been a bit of a wild ride, but compared to their term, it felt as tranquil as a leaf falling from a tree in a calm autumn day. She hadn't acknowledged when, but there was she, in a white bride's dress, waiting to be called for the ceremony to start. If the remembered correctly, Squire would be waiting by the altar, they would exchange rings, and then kiss. Simple enough, right? Then the party would start!

The wedding plans went on to prove the efficiency with which Tsumura Yuu worked. Plans were made in a flash. Invitations were sent. Reservations were made. Flowers were bought. Chefs were hired. Musicians were brought from the human world and the digital world alike.
It would be a fairly interesting spectacle, seeing the combined talents of human and Digimon musicians.
A suit was tailor made for Squire. Or rather, his perfect form. His adult form was too short compared to Kyo's own. And marrying off a pair of child levels was weird. His perfect form was exceedingly tall compared to just about any of Kyo's forms, however. It was strange, not wearing his full suit of armor while in his perfect form. Needless to say, tailoring a suit to this form had not been easy. Wings and tail alike proved to be a fairly problematic set of limbs.
A month had come and gone swiftly. Close friends had gathered at a Cathedral within the digital world. No press was around to catch the news of the recent Ex-president and Ex-Vice-President getting married. Thankfully, Yuu had made sure to keep the event under wraps.
Squire stood at the Altar in his perfect form, arms at his sides and tailored suit perfectly draped over his body. The process was simple, he had been told. Just wait until his fiance walked up the altar, exchange rings, then kiss. Something or other about the 'father' saying something or other for a couple of minutes/hours. He really didn't care, he frankly wanted to get to the kissing part effectively immediately, if he could.

Soon enough, the time came. The cathedral's bells began to sound, marking it as the supposed time where this had to begin. Currently, Kyo was on her ultimate form; Astamon. As one would expect from a tailor-made dress, it complimented her form and gestures perfectly, somewhat to the digimon's dismay. She remember, not with a lot of fun, the many hours that it had taken the tailors to get it perfectly, at least according to Yuu's sense of perfection.
Right outside, almost standing as a father figure, the blonde stood, dressed in a way simpler, but no less elegant black dress, her hand extended in order to take the digimon's own. Unsurprisingly enough, Kyo noted that her partner was at the verge of tears, almost as if sharing her joy. Taking it, they two walked towards the altar, right where Squire was standing.
Just as the human let go of her partner's hand, she gazed directly at the Veemon. It was just for a split second, but her gaze hardened a bit, not threateningly, but somewhat stern. Almost as if going through another ritual; the typical "if you do so much as to hurt her..." speech, even though this time it was given in a brief and concise fashion. Leaving them behind, Yuu went back and the ceremony finally began.
Suddenly, however, everything began to fade, the vivid images becoming a faint blurs. For a second, Kyo felt almost as if everything she had lived thus far became an indecipherable blur. She felt a bright light hitting her directly on her face and...
She was awake. The rays the sun sent on a new day had seemingly hit her straight on the face.
"Crap." She said out loud, her hands instinctively rubbing her eyes to ease the effect of the sudden exposure of light a bit. She had forgotten to close the windows again? Oh, joy.
After a while, she finally managed to open them without feeling like her existence was miserable. As expected, she was on her room, surrounded by a literal army of pillows, just like she liked to sleep. Life indeed, if it weren't for her sudden wake-up.
Of course, huddled against the other end of the bed, she saw him. Sometimes, she wondered how he could bear with stuff like her army of pillows, but those questions were probably tangential. The truth was that they were together, and that both were happy. Or at least that's what she liked to think.
"Good morning, sweetie." She said in a bit of a raspy voice, probably product of her sleepiness. "You won't believe what I dreamed about. I could almost say that it felt like going back in time..." [End][Bits, please]

And then, the bells tolled. The ceremony began. At the entrance to the chapel, one Tsumura Yuu stood in as the father figure that would escort his fiance to the altar. Before he could even begin to think about how funny it actually was, the doors to the chapel were opened.
She was beautiful. But what else was new. His wife-to-be walked into the chapel in her grand, bride's dress, and it was the young dragon could do to not be blown away.
His red eyes followed her every step as she made her way to the altar, a smile slowly stretching over his lips. He almost didn't notice Yuu's stern look, too entranced by her to pay attention to anything else.
He felt almost tempted to reach out to her. He did his best to refrain, however. For whatever reason, they weren't supposed to touch until the end of the ceremony, when the father declared them husband and wife. At the moment, it sounded almost as dumb as not letting them see one another until the ceremony started.
Before the ceremony could truly begin, though, the entire setting seemed to lose focus. Everything began to blur, the entire world seemingly falling apart and disappearing around them, consumed by a blinding light.
He blinked, and found himself staring up at the ceiling, his vision irritated by a stray ray of light coming from the open window. Someone had forgotten to fix the curtains, obviously.
Speaking of whom. The dragon man rolled onto his side to fully face the other end of the bed, and found himself looking his wife in the eye, all the way from where she hid behind her pillow fortress.
"Hey you." He replied softly, his voice equally raspy, his arm reaching to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Is that so? Funny how that works..."
Finished. Posts please.
