(Hope you guys dont mind if I jump in as well, Im kinda new here and I was thinkin this thread might be a good place to debut...)
A tired sigh escaped the lips of 22 year old Maxwell "Maxie" Campbell as yet again, for the 20th time this week, the clearly foreign young man found himself completely lost. Having only come to the great Land of the Rising Sun a a week ago, the young Barbadian guitarist was still wholly unused to the scenery around him, and even moreso to the language, having had to rush learn much of his Japanese during the last two months and plane ride here. It wasn't that he was unmotivated towards learning it, it was more that the announcement of the trip was sudden, and he had more than enough on his plate at the time. Suffice to say, it left the already easily annoyed man in a sour mood. A mood he unintentionally projected upon others by way of his usual scowl becoming more prominent. Such to the point that when he tried to ask for directions with his limited Japanese and strong accent, he would end up recieving only frightened looks and mothers pulling their children away from the tall guitarist. Those who did respond, however, spoke so fast he was unable to fully translate and thus had to wing it, hence his current predicament. he muttered, adjusting the bucket hat he wore. Soon, he came upon the park and nodded to himself. At least this was a good sign it seemed.... "Fuck.....I need a smoke...." he muttered, adjusting the bucket hat he wore. Soon, he came upon the park and nodded to himself. At least this was a good sign it seemed. Striding into the park, hands in his pockets, Maxie looked around around for a bit before finally noticing an empty bench not too far away from the happy parkgoers but far enough that he wouldn't be bothered. Plus, it happened to be under a tree, so the shade was an added bonus. Making his way over towards the bench, he passed by a group surrounding a chess board, picking up small bits of their conversation, particularly the overly dramatic guy's apparent intrusion into their group. Raising an eyebrow but otherwise ignoring it, he continued past, reaching the empty bench and sitting down. As he did, his hand slipped into the inner pocket of his jacket to pull out a box of cigarrettes, one of which he popped into his mouth before pulling out a lighter and lighting it, inhaling the smoke deeply before releasing it. Leaning back into his comfortable seat, he decided to watch the chess game from behind the dark green lenses of his glasses. At least, until his bandmates called to find out where he was. He just really needed a moment to himself, and he did like a good chess game. As he watched, he idly felt a small itch in the back of his neck but ignored it otherwise, taking another drag from his cigarrette, watching the game intently. Occassionally he would make a small nod or shake of the head at certain moves, but other than that, he just watched, eyes hidden behind his glasses.

Katsura was once again observing Lugh, it seemed like he did all this to get away from some thugs. Katsura lifted an eyebrow as she saw what might have been the lamest attempt at an apology and decided to do something about it. "Now Nyao, I know how you react when others taunts me, but for once just trust me. Okay?" Nyao looked up at Katsura confused but decided to nod.
Stealthily without making a noise, Katsura snook out to face the thugs who were out to get Lugh. At first it might have seemed like an awfully suicidal idea but much to the contrary it actually worked. On rather tall muscular almost twice her age and certainly taller than Katsura by at least a head was the first one Katsura approached. "Hey Stefan, how its hanging?" "None of your business little... What a minute" Stefan said as he took a closer look at Katsura, at first he was hostile but as he realized who it was he suddenly turned loud and bro-like. "Cat? What are you doing here? Got any loser to scam for catnip or something?" As it turns out more than half of the thugs were already familiar with Katsura, the reactions to her presence were mixed. Some laughed at Stefan's joke and by extension of Katsura while others reacted as if she was a fellow member. The other half just observed the turn of the events. "I bet that puppy doll is full of dough or something" Another thug said with sparked another round of laugher. Katsura laughed with the others even though she was the one getting roasted.
With a sickly sweet little girl voice, Katsura answered. She did a great parody of a spoiled whiny rich girl.
"Dad kicked me out" Katsura pouted which caused the thugs to make a "oooh" while Stefan pounced her on the shoulder. "So you finally joined the cool boys? About time you became stray. Now you don't have to look so pretty for daddy anymore" By then the thugs gathered around Katsura to give her one of the biggest nuggies ever seen, meanwhile Katsura varied between begging for 'mercy' and giggling. "GUYS PLEASE!! HAHA, I like my hair as it is!" By the time they finally let her go she looked like she had just left her bed and had never used a comb in her life. While stroking her shoulder who was literally hit hard, Katsura answered. "So how's Lizzy?" Stefan sighed annoyed. "We don't talk about that s***" Katsura gave him a pat on the shoulder and then pointed at Lugh from the distance. "Who's the rookie?" "I thought he was with you?!" "Nah, he's just a creep." The revelation that Lugh was not a part of the group seemed to anger the thugs, some smirked while others groaned most clenched their fist. After sharing looks with each other they decided to resume their chase for Lugh.
Once they were gone, Katsura snook back to the tree and leaned curious to see what will happen once they actually catch Lugh. In the meantime, she fixed her hair.

For wanting other people to play the part, this new guy certainly failed to act like he was blending in! Fingers began to tighten on the top of the bag, before the stranger finally began apologizing. Oh, good. Leaning back in his seat slightly, the redhead through the backpack to the stranger. "Not even your I.D. in it? Lame," was the most subtle comment he could come up with. After all, saying that he had hoped it was heavier so that he could hit the guy with it certainly wasn't something to admit to! At least an ID to give to police for harassing a girl was a more proper reaction.
Asher also wasn't going to look at some guy's pocket, so weird shapes wouldn't be noticed in the slightest! "Just keep your hands off of girls that you don't even know," he hummed, taking a quick glance around the park. It was saying something for Asher to give advice like that! The teen was usually all over the idea of physical contact! But, maybe not with some girl he didn't know! Okay, definitely not with a girl he didn't know. Not that the teen was paying too much attention to chess, as he took a second to people-watch.
Did it seem like there were a lot of people at the park today? Or, was it always this busy?
Oh well. Focus on the game. "Is it my turn?" Asher tilted his head, glancing to the board. They really hadn't done much yet! But, with the recent fuss, he found himself asking, "what was your last move?"

Ramon kept his unpleasant gaze on Lugh. He still wasn't very trusting of this guy even if he had tried to make an apology. If this were back in Tijuana that guy's actions would've warranted either everyone backing away or him being affiliated with a gang depending on where he was at. He was curious as to how this stranger ended up in a predicament though; did he owe that group of guys something? Usually it was either money or outside feuds that kept gangs gnawing at each other back home, was Japan's culture so different?
Deciding to drop things for a little while at least, Ramon shifted his gaze away from the man back to the others. The girl looked like she was still quite flustered about everything, but seemed to have some composure. The other gentleman to the side of him also seemed relatively unphased, which impressed Ramon. He felt like if it'd been him in that chair he would have for sure been more willing to deck this guy in the face.
He watched Asher and Lugh banter for a moment about the guy's bag. Ramon double checked his surroundings for his own gym bag. He turned and saw it lying in the grass near where he'd been practicing earlier. At least no one had taken it. Giving himself some time to think about the oddity of the situation, Ramon got up. "Yo soy Ramon. Un segundo." he stated as he walked back toward his bag. After picking it up he'd come back to the group, noticing that someone else had joined the park.
He noticed the bench near the tree had it's new occupant, but he didn't think much of them at the moment. He refocused his attention on the chess game and listened in to what they were doing.

Lugh sighs walks over to one of the other benches and flops down. It had been a rough day. He was on the job, picking the lock on filing cabinet that some documents he was sent to procure. But as he was picking it, there was a flash of light from inside and some kind of electrical disturbance that caused the lights to blow and his damned phone to go off. Once he had gotten the cabinet open and found the documents, he also found a small device that he’d never seen before, so he took it too figuring he could sell it.
He pulls the thing out of his pocket and turns it over in his hand. He had no clue what it was and couldn't really look at it. Once his phone went off it alerted the guys in the next room and they had chased him ever since. But now that he had some breathing room, he figured he would check it out. The device itself was a dark purple, with a black grip and crimson buttons.
Shrugging, he looks about the park. Other than these guys here, there was one other somewhat apart from them, smoking a cigarette. He was surprised there weren't more people. It was a pretty nice day.

The whole situation was... as weird as they came, in all honesty. Luckily, the most troubling issues were taken care of and now Amy could concentrate on the game.
A game that had... a surprising amount of audience, for being something that was just two amateurs shaking their rust off. Embarrassing mistakes were bound to happen, and while Amy didn't care too much about it, she found herself staring at the board after Asher's question. "Uuuhh..." He had moved his pawn, she had moved his pawn, he had moved his knight and she had... "Whoops. Seems like I was wrong. Sorry for that."
Seems like she wouldn't admit it out loud, but that small intrusion had probably thrown her off balance enough that she hadn't recognized that it was her turn... two moves into the game. Deciding to not to make a big deal out of that, she moved another pawn towards f6.
"There." The brunette said with a small smile. "Now it's truly your turn."
As those moments passed by, Amelie had been reminded by the first newcomer that... she hadn't introduced herself to him. It was quite funny, to think she had explained him a vague concept on what was chess about without even exchanging names with him. Once, he came back, the teenager made sure to fix that. "Pleased to meet you, Ramon. I'm Amelie."
She gave him a small smile. Glad that the atmosphere was pleasant again, but maybe due to her being oblivious of what was happening around, she kept most of her concentration on the board. It'd be a shame if she made yet another mistake, right?
However, she couldn't resist to make a harmless joke. "So, Asher... you sure you aren't famous or something? I swear that the opponent I was playing before you didn't garner half the audience you have since you decided to play against me."
Of course, she was giggling all along.

Maxie had continued to watch the group play their game while talking amongst themselves, laughing, and all around having a good time, making him hum quietly to himself. It was always nice to see people having fun, but it wasn't necessarily for him, so he was content just watching. However, from the corner of his eye, he caught what had to be an admittably strange exchange of another sort going on not too far away, involving a small girl and a bunch of clearly older men who were all laughing while giving her various noogies. While normally such a thing would set off warning bells for some people back in the states, Maxie figured that there was probably a reason for this, given the girl wasn't screaming or anything.
However, he did notice something seemed off about her face. Just....off....
He shrugged however, when the men started to leave, only to pause when he noticed the girl had pointed towards the chess playing group, or more specifically, the guy who had left the group to sit on a bench near them.
'Just ignore it Max...s'not your business......' Even as he thought this however, he knew that these guys didn't dress like that just to make a statement, and they were way too close to the clearly younger chess playing group. Plus in a park like this....having a fight break out would be....
"Fuck...." Getting up from his seat, the tall Bajan man strolled over lazily, calmly putting himself in the path of the incoming thugs, noting that while they were tall, he easily stood a head above some of them.
'Time to pull out the 'lost tourist' schtick'
"Sorry. I...lost....Can....look...Post office?" To his credit, Maxie was able to mask his exaggerated inability to speak Japanese just by using his actual inexperience with a bit of flair. Not to say it didnt kill a bit of his dignity on the inside.
At the same time as he asked this, he made to shuffle his feet as if awkardly shy, but actually keeping himself in front of the group so they didnt see Lugh, while speaking loud enough that hopefully the others behind him might notice.

Katsura resumed to watch the chess game from the tree while waiting for the thugs to appear. Katsura turned Nyao around so they could have eye contact.
"Is he heading for Kadas? I don't understand why she didn't went to D4 though" Katsura asked Nyao who not only had no idea what Katsura was talking about but was still playing her ragdoll giving the vibes of a girl either talking to herself or to her doll as if it was a person. "Don't give me that look, it's the safest way to deal with thugs." Though only Katsura could see it for the time being, that answer made Nyao look puzzled at Katsura. Katsura lovered her voice to make sure no one but Nyao would hear them.
(Look, it's no secret that Greater Shibuya is not a nice to place to be. The rule on the street is kill or be killed and I don't agree with that. For a girl on my age, it's even worse. Normally your only options is to either form a sukeban or JK. Manipulating bigger thugs to handle lesser thugs is the most humane way when cops is not an option. Besides, if he is truly good of heart those thugs would never chase him to begin with. Besides it has its perks, I get to see the drama without getting involved myself.) By now Maxie was starting to play the lost tourist, an act that Katsura found more exciting than the chess game.
Since I can't know what their deal with Lugh is for the time being, I return control of the thugs to Lugh. Except Stefan who is still my NPC.

With distractions lessening, it became far easier to focus on the board. A smile pulled at the corner of the teen's mouth, "aw, I could've had a free turn." Of course, this was all in jest, and his tone tried to heavily imply it. Taking an out of place turn could benefit in later play, but right now, it didn't feel like a wise choice. And, an easy-to-catch cheat, too! "I almost forgot, too, if it helps any." At least he was able to tell the truth about that one!
Yellow eyes flickered to Ramon, as he returned, and it seemed that introductions were rolling. Oh, they'd forgotten to do that, hadn't they? So many distractions! Of course, Asher wouldn't have remembered if Amelie hadn't introduced herself first. "And, I'm Asher," he added, after making sure that he wouldn't accidentally interrupt Amelie. That would just be rude, on top of having already been rude for not remembering to state his name before!
While his opponent seemed more focused on the board, Asher's attention had been split by all of the movements around the park. Finally, fingers reached to tap one of his pawns, but faltered upon touch. Despite the giggles, the teen found himself searching Amelie's face for some sort of indicator of knowing way more than she actually should about a stranger. Normally, paranoia might have set in. Instead, Asher found himself curious. Was a girl's giggling seriously this disarming? But...
What would be the reaction if...?
"Actually," the ex-actor drew the word out, while sliding a pawn one step forward, to E3. A small chuckle escaped his lips, while forcing himself not to back out of the planned statement. "I never said I wasn't famous." Shifting back in his seat, to look at his opponent, he felt the need to add, "but, I'm pretty sure you're the one attracting the crowds." Like some weird guy to hang on her, who had thankfully stopped doing anything of the sort. Asher certainly hadn't attracted that kind of attention!
Ah, in hindsight, maybe he should have explained pawns and their movements to Ramon. It felt like the moment for that had passed, though, so he'd try to remember to help out more next time! Oops!

Ramon made a mental note of the names he'd just learned, attempting to match the names to the faces of their owners. From what he'd gleaned listening to their words Amelie was more of the prim and proper type, while Asher had a gentlemanly type of flair to his sentences. He felt glad that he could at least understand people better than when he'd first arrived. He recalled that when he met Gabe at the park for the first time, communicating was harder until he'd revealed that he was able to speak English. He felt tempted to ask if there were many spanish speaking people in Shibuya, but decided against it when he noticed Asher make his move.
Although the match was casual he assumed that they wouldn't appreciate having their concentration broken multiple times. After all it annoyed the tan skinned boy to no end when his soccer practice was disrupted by phone calls and whatnot. With a glazed look Ramon turned back to view the fields behind them, and considered going back to his practice. For a moment he weighed the idea of going back to practice versus staying with these people. Not wanting to risk coming off as rude, he decided to stay for now. He felt sure that there would be more time to practice in the close future anyways.
It was just then that Asher mentioned the probability of him actually being famous. Ramon blinked, and then eyed him curiously. He didn't look like the type to the soccer player, or at least he didn't recognize him from any posters or shows. Though that did lead Ramon to another train of thought, which was that the two of them looked pretty different from the typical Japanese person Ramon had come to know. Thinking it wouldn't lead to anything awkward, he decided to pipe up once the next move had been made.
"Speaking of crowds amigo, I'm sure 'chu guys have noticed I don't particularly blend in with crowds 'ere. Were the two of you born here or?" he inquired, pointing a finger back and forth between the two of them. Out of the corner of his eye he happened to catch a little movement from the group that had randomly shown up earlier, but decided not to think much of it.

Skipping Lugh due to him being AWOL. For what she guessed would be a day in the park like any other, Amy had to admit that things were getting strange... and interesting. But mostly strange. Deciding that paying attention to any outside interference was a waste of her time, she just decided to have a good time with the people who seemed to be actually interested in chess. As long as no one tried weird stuff with her again, she probably would be able to manage just fine.
Not to say that she'd be far less patient in case that happened again. "I know, right? I'm kinda lucky that you're such a good sport, aren't I?" Responding to Asher's smile with one of her own, she gazed at the board again, her blue eyes flickering as soon as the redhead moved a pawn to e3. The statements that followed up resulted on her quirking an eyebrow and ultimately on giggling just a bit. She had to admit that her opponent could be charming at times. "Guess it's my lucky day then. Not every day I get to meet somebody famous. Might even ask you an autograph after the game." She couldn't but snicker softly after uttering those words. A couple of seconds after, she picked a pawn up and moved it to e5. "I wish I didn't attract some of the crowd, though. Anyhow..."
Ramon posed an interesting question. Giving everyone near a quick look, Amy could conclude that most of them weren't Japanese, or at least that they weren't full-blooded Japanese. "I'm actually studying in here, but I was born in France. Take you are from... some Spanish speaking country? Probably in America, too." It wasn't entirely a wild guess; the Spanish that Spaniards spoke was just... so different. Well, that or Ramon's dialect was super weird.
Regrettably for their game, Amelie's phone began ringing, the number managing to widen her eyes a bit. She brought out the phone and answered right away.
"Hi, dad. How are you?"
"[...]"
Welp, that had proven to be quite the surprise. Color drained from her face a bit.
"Visiting, seriously? Where are you?"
"[...]"
Even if that was a little... alarming. Amy's face contorted into one of both urgency and worry.
"Outside my apartment? This is why you gotta tell me before visiting! I'll be there in a sec. Love you, bye."
She then hung up. After looking at Asher with an apologetic smile, she began to collect her things as she stood up. No need to be a great listener to know what was going on, more or less.
"Sorry for that, bu~t I gotta run! With any luck, we'll be able to finish our game later. See ya around!"
In all honesty, the teenager didn't expect to see any of the people involved in this small game (and further... weird stuff that happened) ever again; Tokyo was a big city, and running into the same person at random again would be pretty unlikely.
But, then again... who knew! [Exit Thread]
