A chance meeting. [Asher]

Lugh moves across the city like a shadow. Smooth and graceful, traveling above the citizens of the city. From building to building, often just leaping off the side of a building without knowing exactly where he was going next. There was something freeing about flying through the air like that. The thrill is what he lived for, so he sought it every chance he could.
Leaping from a fire escape, he lands on top one of the wooden poles that hold up the power lines, then down to a street lamp, where he locks his feet around it and spins down the length of the lamp until he very casually steps off of it onto the side walk. He pauses, checking his backpack to make sure something was still there.
He grins widely and meshes into the crowd. Another job well done. From somewhere across town police sirens wail, luckily no where around him. That was the nice thing about parkour. It made it job so much easier than normal.

Wandering the streets, Asher had stopped even caring where he was, at this point. Unsure of how to spend his day, the teen had decided to just explore one of the areas that he hadn't ventured much. After all, there wasn't much in Greater Shibuya that the redhead cared about seeing, except for maybe a friend or two! Weren't quite a few places around here considered kind of dangerous?
"Maybe I should have taken the train," he hummed, before adding, "what do you think, Whisk-" And, then there was a pause, as the teen looked down and realized that he was entirely alone. Well! If talking to a cat would have looked weird, it certainly looked worse when she had just wandered off to who-knows-where without telling him! Meicoomon had no right to get frustrated when Asher wandered off alone, if that's what she planned on doing, too!
Stopping abruptly, Asher found himself almost getting run into by others in the crowd, while looking about for his cat. She had probably spotted something interesting and just planned on catching back up to him, but why couldn't there be some sort of signal for this? Like a meow, or even tapping him with a paw?
First thing's first, though. Asher should probably stop obstructing the foot-traffic! Not even noticing the sound of the siren in the distance, because it wasn't directed at him anyway, the teen began to slip around other people, planning to find a spot alongside one of the nearby buildings to wait.

Lugh slides through the crowd effortlessly. He uses the right amount of force needed to push past people, while being liquid enough to let others go the opposite way. He was happy, just like every time he completed a job. Without a worry he moves down the sidewalk. So much without worry, he ends up daydreaming. He wonders what it’s like to digivolve, or what the Digital world is like. He would go in time, but for now he had some jobs to finish. Getting careless, he ends up bumping full on into someone. With his quick reflexes he was able to insure neither of them fell and immediately assumed a very apologetic face. Inwardly however he cursed himself. He knows better than to day dream, especially because the sirens were getting closer.
“Oh man, I’m sorry!” he takes the man’s hand and shakes it while bowing his head. “I wasn’t watching…Oh wait. Aren’t you the guy from the park the other day? Asher wasn’t it?” He says, motioning them to get out of the foot traffic. It was a blessing. He had been more curious about everything and this Asher guy at least knew what was going on.

Hands pressed themselves into his pockets, letting out a huff. For all Asher knew, Meicoomon would be gone until midnight! Maybe he needed to get Whiskers a cell phone. Wait. Get a cat a cell phone. Yes, that thought had seriously crossed his mind! Ridiculous! She didn't even have fingers! How could she call or text?
Of course, without paying attention, it was way easier to be bumped into! Sliding a foot back to keep himself stable, the teen found his hand trapped in a handshake of some sort. "Hm?" With a hum, the young man tilted his head. Oh! This wasn't an entire stranger! "What, you're not kissing more random girls today?" Asher found himself teasing, almost reflexively. Of course the redhead remembered this guy! Then again, Asher tried to maintain a policy of remembering as many people as possible! Even if he didn't often act like it!
Following the motion, the teen moved out of the crowd. This worked out well, considering it had been his plan to get off to the side of all of these people, anyway! "What's up?" Then, there was a rapid pause before the spirit user decided to add another question. "You haven't seen a weird-looking, orange cat anywhere, have you?"

Lugh chuckles and shakes his head. "Naw man. That normally gets a guy smacked. I got away with it once, no need to test my luck." Crouching down, he pulls his backpack off his back and sits it in front of him, before pulling a black ball cap with the Red Hood bat symbol on it and puts it on.
Standing again he glances around, then pauses, his head tilted slightly obviously listening. The sirens were fading now. Good.
"Not much, headed home from...work." He hesitates slightly, but then focuses back on Asher. "And orange cat? Can't say that I have. Need a hand looking for it?" He asks, being very genuine. He's not a total bad guy to not help find this guy's missing pet.

Man, Lugh really loved his fashion, didn't he? Sure, Asher cared about looking decent, but he felt like all that the other guy carried in his bag were clothes! "You're really into Batman, huh?" the teen observed, remembering that Lugh had been wearing a shirt of the same series when they had met. Or, maybe this guy just liked the designs. It was hard to tell with some people! For all Asher knew, it was worn as some form of symbolism.
"Work?" Asher echoed, picking up on a slight hesitation in the speech. "That's cool," he supposed, what's your job like?"
With no sign of his feline companion, the spirit user mulled over the offer. "Nah, thanks for the offer," he shrugged, finally. Looking for a cat in someplace like this would be a pain. "She's probably just harassing some kid for their ice cream, or something." Cats certainly had a way with persuading children to feed them, after all! Whiskers was no exception! "She'll show up eventually."
Some days, it was best to just let Meicoomon do her own thing. Especially because she couldn't get annoyed with Asher if she wasn't with him! "I could use some ideas for passing the time, until she finds me, though, if you've got any."

Shrugging, Lugh runs his hand over the red symbol on his hat. "He's better than most hero's." Dismissing the whole thing. When asked about his work he has to think for a moment before speaking.
"I..uh. work in procurement.." He nods and smiles, obviously happy with his awnser. "It's pretty fun actually. I make my own hours and get to be super active, which is how I like." Hopefully Asher didn't see right through his ruse.
"Are you sure? I don't mind helping" He asks but then shrugs. "If you think your cat is ok...then maybe we can talk about Digimon and help me figure out how to use it?"

Interesting. A lot of people interested in Batman seemed to go on and on about it. "I guess," the teen shrugged. The villains in DC were way more interesting, in his opinion! Oh well! He wasn't going to begin a debate over something that he barely took the time to know about. Hadn't some sort of movie in the Batman universe come out recently? Maybe he'd have to look it up later.
But 'procurement,' huh? "Sounds exotic," Asher commented, almost uninterested sounding. In reality, it sounded like something that Asher was better off not knowing too much about! He liked having a clean record! It was a rarity among people with his childhood career, after all!
"She's smarter than the average cat," the redhead reasoned, with a smirk. Considering a vet likely wouldn't be willing to even look at Meicoomon, she certainly wasn't the average household pet!
Moving a hand from his jean pocket to his jacket's, he pulled out a packet of gum, taking a piece out. Eyes narrowed slightly, only throwing a glance to Lugh while he spoke, "you probably shouldn't talk about that so freely." They were still standing near people! What if someone overheard? Using one hand to unwrap his gum and place it into his mouth, he offered the packet toward the other teen, in the case he wanted a piece of gum also. That was polite, wasn't it?
Making a motion toward a nearby alley, the teen began his suggestion, "looks out of the way enough, unless you have a better idea?" Alleys were pretty sketchy, after all! Not that a spirit user was all that concerned! "What do you need to figure out, anyway?" Did Lugh know how to use the device at all?

Lugh takes a piece of gum, unwraps it and puts it in his mouth, then stuffs the wrapper in his pocket. “Thanks.” He says following Asher into the alley. When asked if he had a better idea he looks around and then looks up. “Yea, but i doubt you could keep up, so this will do.” Smirking, he pulls out his digivice. He turns the purple, gray and red device over in his hands and sighs.
“To be completely honest, other than knowing its a Digivice, i don't know anything else about it or how to use it.”Hes been carrying this thing around for days now and couldn't figure out how to actually use the damn thing. There were many times he just wanted to throw it away.
“I mean, I’m supposed to be able to transform into one of these Digimon creatures right? Also, there's a whole nother world? How do i get to the Digital World?”He was genuinely curious. Lord knows what kind of treasures he could find...and steal there.

The redhead hummed an, "mhm," while putting the remainder of the packet into his pocket again. What happened to gum, when a Spirit User digivolved? Would it be in the Digimon's mouth, completely gone, or did it just reappear when they returned to human state? Interesting things to consider! Though, thinking of getting gum stuck in fur was not an ideal thought right now!
"No faith in me, huh?" That was no surprise. It seemed like very few people expected Asher to be capable of anything. And, really, if Asher couldn't keep up, his Sprite surely could. Ah well. No point in saying anything about it! It was better to be underestimated, rather than an actual letdown, wasn't it?
So, where was there to start on the Digivice subject? "Right, it's a Digivice. Do you know if your sprite is already programmed into it?" Asher had been lucky that his was already present on the device. But, from what he had gathered, some people actually had to find the stupid thing! And, who wanted a hassle like that?
Looking toward the opening of the alley, the teen established that they seemed to be far enough out of the public eye, and pulled out his own D-tector. "Yes." Asher found himself answering the first two questions in a one-worded response. Convenient! "Have you tried the train station?" The tone of voice that the teen used sounded almost like he was joking, but a second later, he furthered the statement with, "there's a gated-off platform in the station. If you scan your digivice at it, you get to take a nice trip on a talking train." Right. Nice. Just like the train that he was still debating on trying to give an allergic reaction to so that he could avoid it for the next several trips!
But, that was mean, wasn't it?
"Or, I guess you can take a swim in the garbage-river. I guess they both do the same thing." With that descriptive enough, Asher just waited to see if Lugh knew anything about having a sprite pre-loaded into his device. If not, would they have to find it? And, if he had no idea, at least Asher had someplace to work from there!

Lugh shrugs his shoulders and let's the talk about the cat go. If the guy wasn't worried, neither was Lugh. He listens intently to what the guy says about the trains and the river.
"I mean, I used it once. This little purple winged dude attacked me in the park. But that's a whole nother story." He pauses his hand going to his back where the burns were nearly healed. "But it only worked after the Digimon attacked me. Since then I haven't been able to figure out how to do it." He pulls his D-scanner out and turns it over in his hand. "I want to be able to use it on command. I want to be stronger."
There was a new fire in his eyes as he speaks. He grips the D-scanner until his knuckles turn white. Something had happened to him and he wanted to make sure it didn't happen again.

"Okay, great!" The spirit user started, with a smile. "That's your sprite -- the first one you get. You'll have to go on stupid adventures to find the rest, and your digivice should show you where those are, when they're available." Important details! Always remember the important ones! Pointing at the other teen with his D-Tector, Asher added an almost irritant, "now, hopefully yours will be the same gender as you, but not everyone's that lucky." Since when did the redhead get associated with luck, anyway?
Never, that's when.
What next? Ah, maybe Lugh could use a little hands-on training? "Okay- Wait," that had taken a while, "something attacked you in the park?" Weird. Did he have to be that cautious of Digimon in public, too? Lame! No, wait, focus on the task at hand, Asher! If Digimon were attacking people in the human world, it wouldn't be right to let some unknowing spirit wielder get hurt from poor teaching! "You know what? Not important. Spirits. It gets easier with a little practice, but the best way to start..."
Placing a hand out to be obviously visible, data began to warp out to circle it, pulsing as if a shadow was growing from the coding. "This is a Fractal Code. You might have seen it when you digivolved before," he hummed, "some people don't need to see it to digivolve." Proven by Elliot and Isaac! "But, it's a good place to start. Try to imagine, or will it, to appear?"
Teaching people to digivolve was kind of awkward! Everyone had their own way of doing things, after all! Heck, Asher had learned from a tamer! But, actually keeping the digivolution at bay while trying to demonstrate was a little unpleasant, actually. Time to continue on. "Then, words to trigger the whole thing. Which, you might not need once you figure it out more." Or, button-mashing the Digivice worked sometimes, too, as Asher had learned. But, that certainly didn't feel like a reliable practice!
Yellow eyes flickered to the opening of the alley again, reassuring that nobody was going to see anything. Still good. "Spirit evolution." Another pulse of black emitted from the code, now wrapping around the teen, and dispersing almost as soon as it had sealed around him. Now, coated in annoying yellow fur, the fox crossed it's arms.
If Lugh laughed at the feminine tone that heavily laced the Renamon's words, it was going to take so much restraint not to punch him. "Now, try it yourself."

Sprite? Stupid adventures? Lugh had to admit it sounded so crazy. If he hadn't already seen it in action he’d never believe it. “I believe he was called Guilmon. A red..lizard guy that shoots fireballs. He’s pretty cool to be honest.”He wished he could of Digivolved sooner. But the past is the past.
Lugh debates on showing the scars of the digimon attack that would forever scar his back. But decided against it. Not many wanted to see the nasty scar left behind by third degree burns. It was really bad. But Asher was right, it wasn't important anymore. He would find a way to get stronger and repay that crazy thing that tried to kill him.
Watching the fractal code appear on Asher’s hand was exciting. To know that he -could- Digivolve at will was one of the biggest things Lugh was concerned about. He never wanted to be caught with his pants down again. So he watches and listens and when Asher turns into a yellow fox Digimon he grins from ear to ear. Not because Asher now sounded...feminine, but because it was just plain cool to watch it happen right before his eyes.
“Ok. That is awesome. Lets see if i can do this.”With a determined nod, he holds out his left hand. He closes his eyes and focuses his will. It was harder than Asher made it look, but maybe it was because this was Lugh's first time purposely doing it. After what seems like eternity, a red Fractal code appears around his hand, throwing off embers as it spins. He holds his hand up before his face and grins wolfishly.
“Spirit Evolution!”He says calmly before dropping his hand and runs the fractal code across the D-Scanner. Immediately the Fractal code erupts into a crimson flame. The flame circles its way up Lugh’s arm, engulfing it as it travels. To Lugh, it was slow motion as the flame engulfs his body, but in reality it was near instantaneous and as soon as it had sealed, it bursts outward, leaving Guilmon in Lugh's place.
“Well, I think its safe to say you are a good teacher, for whatever its worth.”His golden eyes flickered around the alley and its heavy tail swishes back and forth. “Last time.. I Barely remember being in this form. I was engulfed in pain and rage, that i kind of lost it. But now that I'm in my right mind..this all feels so...different. I don't know what i expected but this is..amazing.”

"Fireballs? Sounds fun," the teen smiled. Don't try to one-up him quite yet! This kind of thing took some getting used to! And, heck, Asher hadn't even really taken time to see what Renamon could do! So, who knew if this Guilmon creature could actually take the yellow fox in a fight?
It was a really good thing that Asher had been practicing digivolution more. He hadn't ever considered there being a point where he would be helping someone else learn the ropes! Despite Lugh's concept of time, it didn't feel like it had taken the teen too long to form the code. Though, when one was trying to force something, everything felt far longer than necessary.
And, a very fiery entrance. Nice! "Cool digivolution," he encouraged, before adding, "you can figure out how to adjust how the evolution phase looks, if it's not flashy enough for you. Or, too flashy." After all, flames weren't particularly discreet! Asher had this feeling that Lugh would want to be able to get away with evolving unnoticed, for some reason. "But, that's something you'll want to work on after you can digivolve easier." Even Asher had to still think about it, sometimes! But, he was capable of alternating between shattering cocoons and dissipating shadows for Renamon's reveal, at least! Everyone needed a little variety in their life. Not to mention that half of his thought was just picking which of his evolutions to fall into.
The Sprite found himself smirking at the compliment on his teaching, "thanks." He really was trying to be decent at this! "But, not every form is as easy to keep in control of. I've heard some Beasts are," the fox paused, to think. "Difficult to keep your sanity for."
Tilting it's head, the Renamon debated for a moment. They really couldn't practice any of Lugh's potential moveset this close to other people, could they? Ah well. "If you get hurt in a fight, it can carry back to your human form, if they're bad enough. So try not to lose your arm or something," he advised, while trying to think of anything else that he could teach. "Any questions so far?"

Lugh bares his teeth in a grin and moves around a bit. Having a tail was…strange. The difference between this time and last time was exponential. He could feel the power of Guilmon, from his clawed feet to his long, twitchy ears, the Inferno flowed through him. His senses were better too. He could smell the cat that was hunting a mouse down the alley, he could hear that very same mouse squeak, trying to flee from the cat. The world had a golden hue to it but even the shadows of the buildings or the storm drain across the alley was clear as day to him. After he is through trying to get used to his new form, he looks at the yellow fox Digimon. “You mean, the spirit will try and take control? Couldn’t I just revert back to my Human form before it did?” he asks in response to Ashers comment about control. As far as the fighting goes, Lugh knew all too well. He could still feel the healing burns on his back, even now as Guilmon and now that he was shirtless, the burn was visible. Whatever happens to him one way will transfer over to the others as well. That’s why he had to get stronger. He wouldn’t let digimon like Tsukaimon bully him. “Is the Digital World the only place to find these..spirits? How will I know where to look? Ive never even been to the digital world…” He turns quickly, his tail crashing loudly into a trashcan, making Lugh jump slightly. “Still trying to get used to the tail.” He mutters under his breath.
