It was so strange. All the times they had been there, a raging snowstorm had always met them back, welcoming them into the cold embrace of the Northern Prominence. Their favourite training spot, and the last place they had visited before the final confrontation they had lost. The fact that they had been too weak was the main cause they had been sent to limbo in the first place. So far they hadn't stopped to consider why, but... they could feel something ominous brewing. Something hunting them down?
Knowing that they had to prepare themselves, regain and surpass their previous strength, the duo had traveled to the Desolate Tundra once again, in order to temper themselves to the limit. However, that day, only black clouds above them could be seen. No snow was falling from the sky. No storm raged above. Just as if they were in the eye of the storm, just an eerie calm awaited them.
Oh, whatever, it didn't matter much. The Kazan, wearing a mantle against the cold, and his partner walked aimlessly. They were just waiting, as always. Though at first they had always tried to start an exercise routine, it was much easier to take advantage of the predators that awaited them there. -Any minute now... -Tatsuya muttered, his breath fully visible because of the sheer cold.
Something would pounce on them, at any minute. And of course, they were just right. It didn't take that long for a Garurumon to appear from nowhere, camouflaged by his white fur. However, since there was no snowstorm, it had been easy for Blake to know that something was off there. That seemed like the perfect match for Sangloupmon... except that wasn't the plan.
-So, we're actually going to do this. Let's see how it turns out... I'm eager to see just how much you can take -the Dorumon retorted, fully knowing. Tatsuya didn't want to Digivolve him just yet. If they powered up at their base, their core, then the extent of their power would surely grow. Also, they needed to learn how to fight at such a disadvantage in power. That beast would have no mercy... just like their alter ego.
Garurumon pounced on Dorumon, who managed to dodge it. Their predator may be hungry, but he had much more experience, that was for sure. The dragon then shot his Metal Cannon during his leap, hitting the Champion in the back, creating an explosion. A direct hit.
However, as expected, the creature, while having taken damage, had not been badly damaged.
Their foe growled angrily at them, and then howled, savagely pursuing Dorumon.
An exchange of bite attacks, claw hits and the like ensued. While Blake could easily hold his ground, gaining advantage was impossible in that stage. Furthermore, their firepower was weaker than the foe's. Tatsuya's eyes narrowed. Perhaps he should digivolve him...
-Come and get me. I'll make you into a carpet for my room -the Dorumon defiantly stated, as the Garurumon resumed its vicious attack. It had been a while ever since they fought in Rookie stage. Hopefully things wouldn't go badly.
