Koharu silently tapped her metal coated leg, looking a bit in deep thought. Her inn is doing well, people around here seem to like it how she provided both the rooms and the food, and plus the onsen is actually free. People also like the milk she provided and the massage chair... well, at this point it's just a traditional ryokan but people seem to love it anyway, so what can she say? However, despite all of that, one thing came to mind. She need to get more help for rebuilding the village. She can't keep getting all this people come and go and decides that nothing is gonna be fixed around here...
"...Now, since when am I acting like a Mayor?" Koharu thought out loud.
There's no point in mulling over it. She need to get some help, and quick. She guess that it's time to put on some advertisement about this in her inn. Koharu walked to the dining room and bar portion of the inn and put on the sign that she's needing help for rebuilding. Hopefully people will be interested. She want to fix this village afterall. It's too run down and somehow refugees that left the village, hearing that there's an inn starting to act rowdy and want to get their home back.
"...Yosh, it's time to work!"

During one of her visits to the village inhabited by the Candlemon whom Lissa had already assisted twice in the past with their problems. Dealing with an oversized fireball monster and one sneaky gorilla thief. This time, as she sat in the Scrap Iron Inn after being handed a large mug of cocoa by the kindly Candlemon at the bar. Lissa heard rumor and hearsay of a town further up north. “They say it was burned down after a volcano.” One of the Candlemon said in a hushed voice. “No, no, no. Don’t you read! It was a tremendous battle of epic proportions. Now it’s a charred mess.” Another said in a more scolding tone. “Although, they say there are those are trying to rebuild it. Don’t cha know”
That was that. The following morning, Lissa and VeeVee followed the path from the village further north until she found the town from the gossip. It seemed slightly less smoulder-y now as some work had already begun, it seemed. But it was clear, that this once beautiful town had been torn down through terrible means. Lissa walked into the village, closely by VeeVee who was on guard as if worried something was going to burst from the rubble and construction to attack them.
“Now, what are we going to do exactly?” She asked more to herself than VeeVee. “I wonder if there is anyone else here at the moment?”

Koharu came out from her inn, hoping that today is another great day at work----not. Already she saw something that proven itself over and over again to be detrimental. One of them is mainly Digimons getting impatient to get their rations. She let out a heavy sigh. Even though she helped by selling food for cheap, it's still nothing compared to these people's meal.
"Anego," suddenly a Chaos Dukemon called as he gently landed beside Koharu. "...Again, these guys..."
"...Ah, right... Suspicious guys again?"
"Yeah, that's right..."
She sighed out loud. There are so many jobs and these people are all getting impatient. If she can be honest, even she herself is getting really impatient to deal with all this nonsense. She's not the mayor dangit!
"Where's Kon-chan?"
"Aneki's checking the building around here to be salvaged. Apparently some people agreed that it's better to salvage than nothing at all."
"Good, the place's all broken honestly...Can you give me the data of people that agreed for house dismantling?"
"Right here, Anego."
He produced some paper. At this point, Koharu sighed even louder. "AAAARRRRGH, ASSISTANT NEEDED DAMMIT. I'LL SHELL OUT THE MONEY SO COME OUT ALREADYYYYY!!"

As Lissa moved further into the destroyed village, she caught more of the relief effort that had already started. It seemed like a lot of the town was being restored, although a large portion was still burnt into piles of burned wood, debris, and charcoal. At first, she thought she was alone until she heard a loud voice off in the distance. Following the voice, she came across someone, a human girl and then a Digimon or two. She was shouting fairly loudly and sighing to herself – asking for an assistant.
After a moment's hesitation, Lissa skipped excitedly over to see the girl who appeared to be saving some kind of breakdown. “Heyo, I’m Lissa. The Hero of Justice. I wanted to help with the town rebuilding thing.” Putting her hand out for the girl to shake, she quickly added, “It’s very nice to meet you, really.”
“Also, this is my partner, VeeVee,” she added further, pointing to her partner who was looking past the girl and to the fully evolved Digimon. A large knight-like Digimon in deep black armor wielding a lance and a shield. VeeVee seemed very interested in the partner of the girl, or so Lissa assumed. "How can we help?"

...And soon someone approached her! What with this hero of justice? Some chuunibyou? Goddamn, it reminds her of the days when she poses as 'Queen of Underworld'... that was damn embarrassing. Looking at her sister too made her writhe in embarrassment for her same chuunibyou-like acting. Gaahhhh... Oh well... despite feeling awkward inside, Koharu managed to smile and shook the girl's hand. "Nakano Koharu, just your simple inn owner... A Ryokan if you will. I'm so busy that I even would take a Tailmon's paw for help-- well you got me, right? Anyway, ahem..."
She opened the door to her inn and gestured her to come in politely. "Come here and let's discuss inside. It's better."
She quickly led this new 'assistant' to the bar portion of the inn and laid some paperwork, but not before giving her a homebrewed ginger tea that smells quite sweet. "First, sign right here and here that you consented to be my assistant as long as it's legal, and you may not break the contract midway until four jobs has been finished. First, there's job where you dismantles the houses around here, they're too broken to be fixed, so the way to do it is to dismantle, take the usable material, and collect it in one place. Then we'll rebuild it. It might takes a while so it'll count as two jobs. Second job, some people just have no idea what it meant to be patient. I'm lowing prices of my food here until the point where what I am doing can be treated as charity, but they still doesn't understand and want to raid the village's emergency food storage... stop them from doing that. Third job... we'll just gonna be shovelin' the snow and make it go poof. Luckily my Digimons are strong enough, but extra hands would be appreciated, otherwise this is going to slow down our rebuilding significantly. Do you need me to go over any of that again? Do you have any question?"

Lissa blinked confusedly at his words. “A Ryokan?” she repeated slowly. Other than that, she seemed to understand her odd choice of words. She was an owner of an inn and she needed help to rebuild the town – that much made sense at least. Looking down at her partner, who was standing at her side. It was clear to see that she was confused as well by his one raised brow.
They followed Koharu through the door into the inn which stood behind them. She led her to the bar on one side of the room. Lissa sat down on one of the tall stools with VeeVee on her left side. VeeVee laid his head down on the bar as Koharu passed Lissa a drink of something that smelled very sweet. Lissa stared down now as a very long paper was placed under her nose. It was written in very small font and seemed to, from a glance, some form of contract that would force her to consent to be his assistant and to not quit. As it was so long and written in such small font, she failed to read it all – only reaching the end of the first paragraph. She pulled out a pen and scraped a swirly signature across the bottom. “There you go!”
Without any further ado, Koharu started to describe the list of jobs that needed doing, which included rebuilding and dismantling, stop people from raiding the food supply and then to shovel some snow. It all seemed fair enough but still fairly boring. When Lissa considered the things she had done in the past, which included taking out some enraged and aggressive Digimon and then taking out a dark guild. Lissa opened her mouth to mention this but a loud growl overcame her words. To her left, VeeVee’s stomach was growling loudly and she was staring across the bar at the small amounts of food on the back. “Do you mind if she eats and we can get to work?”

"...As a business owner, I'd criticize you for not reading the contract in full, even ones in fine print, oh well," Koharu muttered in exasperation. This is not the first, but for any worker, this can be quite fatal... well, at that time she'll be sure to chase this girl to the end of the digital world if she dared to stop midway though...
"...Very well, you're now hired. The payment system is based on job finished. So everytime you finish a job, I'll pay you for your trouble. However, should you stop midway, you'll need to pay fine because that's breach of contract. Do you understand?"
Then the growl that come... Koharu smiled wryly. "Unfortunately we don't have that luxury. Have him eat while he's on site or eat here , because this job applies not just to you but your Digimon too."
Koharu in return put a boxed meal filled with warm foods inside. "He may eat this while on the site or I'll give you two the same meal, you go eat here too before working, but only for fifteen minutes at most. Lateness will not be tolerated. Also, the storage will be mostly raided at the night, so I took a liberty and booked a room on your name, free of charge. Here's your room key," she handed the key. "If you want beds instead just tell me, I'll switch the room."
