Team Name:
The Watch
Team Ability:
Speed Boost
Twice per battle if another team member is present, a team member can gain a boost in attack and movement speed for two consecutive posts. This requires two posts to cool down before it can be used again. Both members must also decide to use it simultaneously for the power to activate.
Base Location:
Spyware Caverns
Description:
Over a hot meal in a frozen land, Paul and Ryo decided that once the death of Hikari was avenged, they would form a group to prevent such horrors from ever happening again. A team was needed to look out for those in distress, for those who needed help, to watch over the Digital World. From Paul's experience in DATS, he knew that a team bound by legality would not have the flexibility they needed, so it would have to be a group of vigilantes. They would operate under their own agenda, choosing their targets, their goals, and doing anything necessary to achieve them.
Their base lies in the Spyware Caverns, the entrance hidden in a rocky outcropping in the tundra that only reveals itself when in the presence of the Watch Shield (courtesy of technology stolen from DATS by Rich). Below the surface lies a relatively small complex containing individual rooms for each member of the team (with a few extra rooms in case of expansion), a gym area, kitchen and mess hall, and a conference/command center where the team meets to discuss future plans. Mercenary contracts are maintained to provide backup or contacts in different parts of the world. Plans are in the works to hire a full time mercenary to staff the base.
Connected to the complex is a station of Trailmon, ready and waiting to carry the team to destinations around the Digital World. In key locations around the world, platforms and storage cases are kept that allow access to the surface above. Here team members can restock with necessary supplies or access the Trailmon to return to the base or travel to another station. The winding tunnels allow for versatile and quick movement through the world (critical for a vigilante group such as the Watch). Each access point has heavily reinforced walls to keep out intruders as well as an alarm system that alerts each member of a breach in the tunnels. Choke points have been installed in the tunnels that can be shut in case of emergency.
Equipment:
Smoke Pellets: Each pellet provides one turn's worth of smoke that obscures all vision within or through the cloud. A member can carry up to three pellets at a time. They can refill this at the various storage points throughout the world.
Watch Shield: Every member of the Watch is given a wrist watch that appears bronze in appearance with the inscription "~Vigilance Always~" on the bottom of it. It does not tell the time of the day rather but instead indicates the state of the team (mission, downtime, etc), controlled from the base in the north and allows the access points to the tunnel network to reveal themselves to the team members. In addition, once per battle, they can deploy a shield contained within the watch. It feeds off the power of the Digimon (ie a Digimon able to Digivolve to Ultimate will provide enough power to the watch to block an Ultimate level attack).
Epic Scarf: Every band of heroes needs something to identify them. The scarf is pure white with a single blood red outline of a clock on one end of the scarf.
