It was a good thing that Cassandra seemed fond of Kuu. The Digimon-pretending-to-be-a-human gave an innocent shrug. "I don't even know where I found me," he admitted, entirely honest. Could one actually find themselves? It was a tough question! And, it wasn't like Elliot found Kuu! Kuu sort of found Elliot! Or, Maia did, really. But those were all little details that definitely did not have to come up right now!
Puns aside, since Maia was the one with a soft spot for puns, Kuu targeted the spouse talk. "I've lived a lot," he responded, very seriously. Then again, how serious could a kid look? "How much living do you gotta do before you spouse someone?" Well, that sentence was definitely incorrect in a few different ways! But, the point probably could be received! "Is it like dating? Like Isaac and Maia?" Welp. That was out of the bag now! Quite literally, since Kuu popped out of a backpack after overhearing that Isaac hadn't told his mom anything about Maia yet! And now, she was literally at the door!
"I think all the languages and stuff are fun! You kind'a learn bits and pieces just from hearing it pop up at certain times! Oh! Like 'время' means 'time' or something, I think!" Then, there was a quick pause. "Don't ask me how to spell it though, 'cause their alphabet's weird." Says the fox that understands Wingdings.
But, it was a little surprising that Elliot and his mom didn't eat enough. "Mom makes a lot of food. Maybe we could all eat together sometime!" That'd be fun, right? Everyone liked food, and everyone needed to eat more! Especially Kuu! He needed to eat everything! This was very important! And, even more important, when asked what he liked to eat! Which was almost literally, "everything." Again, with the serious tones! But, hey, Kuu took food pretty seriously!
"I like mashed potatoes, and sushi, and soup, and sandwiches, and socks," wait, don't say socks, "and toast! I really like toast. And fish, and noodles, and..." there was a pause, while Kuu tried to think of more food items. Hopefully, the socks would be lost in the list! "What do you like?"
On the bright side, Kuu was clearly loved by everyone. So, Maia didn't feel too terrible that he had ended up in Elliot's home unannounced. Maybe, it had actually been for the best. Somehow! "I guess," the teen stated, slowly. Sure, 'losing' Isaac had made her more appreciative of who she had. But, it still wasn't an ideal situation. With the 'not yet' part slipping completely over her head, the tamer was unsure on how to comfort Elliot. Still, she gave a nod to the next offer. "I've been pretty busy with the art club. But, texting would be nice."
Of course she was busy with art club. Because it was one of the few things that could properly remove her mind from the situation at-hand.
But, hearing the response from Elliot, Maia couldn't help but squint a little. It almost hurt to hear what the mission had done even to the younger brother's mentality. "That makes sense," she answered, quietly. Part of the blonde wanted to argue the logic. But, could she really? Yes, it was dangerous. Yes, it changed people. Yes, it could be entirely fatal to anyone who went anywhere near it. Yet, there was an urge to try to make Elliot see 'sense' of the situation and to try to drag him back in. Why would that ever cross her mind?
After all, Maia used to hate the idea of going to someplace like the Digital World.
"Not yet," the girl responded, after a brief silence. "I wanted to make sure Kuu was alright before we went back," the wording was clear. Maia intended on returning to that dangerous world. "But, I'm going to soon." The obvious statement. Then, maybe the less obvious statement. "I asked a doctor there to teach me a little about Digimon. I think I'll be interning for him soon. If everything goes well." That was a pretty big 'if' considering the luck of this tamer. But, time would tell.
