"Kh---!"
He pulled back the sword with all his might. A Super Ultimate's strength is not a trivial matter. Despite so, he could feel the darkness attacked him. Is this the same one that infected Coronamon? Whatever the case was, he managed to pull back, albeit not unharmed. What level is this guy? His blade once again returned to its scabbard with a click. He cannot attack just like that. While he's usually relentless, at this point he's alone. He need to get used to this before he could attack. Ryouta tried to kept distance to the Bagramon.
Meanwhile, inside Ilbert, he quickly put both of his guest to the medical chamber, where Isana begin the treatment.
"...At this sort of time I hate it to be powerless."

"My work here is done."
As soon as Ryouta managed to pull the sword out of Bagramon's back, the dark energy enveloping the evil Digimon exploded, and Bagramon vanished with it. He had left just as quickly as he had appeared- as if attacking Apollomon was his sole purpose for being there. Of course, he could've just been smart and realized immediately that Ryouta was not the person you wanted to mess with.
Back inside Ilbert, Marshal quickly came to and looked around in a daze. "What happened?" he asked. There was someone standing over him and Coronamon that he did not recognize. "Who are you?"

"...Tsk," Ryouta clicked his tongue in anger. He dived to Ilbert's compartment that quickly opened to greet him and closed the moment after he entered in. He passed through the compartment through the installed special tunnelway. This allow him to pass through compartment in emergency much easier. Not only that, it's installed with some automatic moving floor. Depending on which way he's going, he'll head that way faster.
He appeared in the clinic soon with Ryu in his Slayerdramon form in tow. Luckily this battle this time is really short so he doesn't feel any change to his psyche nor physical abilities.
"Yo, how are you doing?" he asked Marshal. "Isana, can you report what you found?"
"Well, I'm not feeling much on the human, but the Digimon is definitely... in problem."
"In problem?"
"...There's something altering his data. I have no idea what exactly."
"....Marshal, sorry, the Digimon that infected you two, it ran away."
"A wise decision. You two are probably too experienced for him. Then again... this concerns me. Boy," she addressed Marshal. Now at this point most likely the figure of Santhemon is clear. "Do not strain your Digimon partner for a while. I suggest total medical examination in Terminus. I'm currently just an emergency doctor. I don't really have the expertise I have a year ago after reset. For a while, take it easy."

"I'm...a little shaken up, but ok," Marshal sighed. "Coronamon isn't looking too great, though. Sorry, but we won't be able to continue our fight for a while."
Coronamon groaned as Isana told the others what she knew. He looked to be mostly unharmed, but there was something wrong with his data according to Isana.
"It's gonna be alright, buddy," Marshal breathed. "We'll get this figured out."
Ryouta told them he wasn't able to finish off Bagramon. "That's fine," he said. "We'll come back another day when Coronamon is feeling better and finish him off ourselves."

"Ha? What are you saying?" Ryouta asked, sitting near the bedside and aimed a flick to Marshal's head. "Are you an idiot? Cannot continue the battle? Are you saying that you're still thinking about the battle when the situation is serious like this? First just take a rest. We'll bring you to Terminus."
Then, Ryouta flopped over to a chair and crossed his legs.
"You know, you guys are being a bit feeling too secure with new form, In my opinion. You seem to feel like you can take the world with that Super Ultimate form, but when you finally saw someone with higher power than you, you got too panicked to act. Granted, you guys asked me to train how to control that form, right? I can't really teach you how to synchronize with each other, but... here's the difference. Me and Ryu, we're not doing it 50:50 like you guys. Despite it being treated like Slayerdramon, a Super Ultimate version of it, it's mostly me outside with power of Digimon. That form is both Digimon and not. It's armatization. It's 70% me who do the combat while Ryu supporting me executing skills and whatnots. 50:50 is a bit risky at times. Because when you're not attuned to it, you could have problem moving as your biomerged state..."
He leaned back to his chair and devolved Ryu who now sat beside him. "...And then, there's another problem. If you aim 70:30 like us, abuses it and suddenly you'll get the side effects like mine," he pointed at his eyes. "It's not the most pleasant thing having to speak quietly otherwise your head will ring. 'nyway... once you got better, I'll tell you how to improve more on your skills if you want."

Marshal took Ryouta's words and reflected on them. It was true that he and Coronamon really had adjusted to Biomerging a lot sooner than what seemed acceptable. At the end of the day, this was a very dangerous thing for both of them, especially if they weren't constantly on the same wavelength. Now, because they hadn't been working in sync, Coronamon was injured. Who even knew what was wrong with him?
Maybe Ryouta was onto something, but at the same time, using the Biomerge form like that could lead to big problems for Marshal down the line. Who knew what being Biomerged with a fire Digimon would do to him? Marshal continued to be lost in thought as Ilbert sped towards Terminus.
"I guess things aren't as simple anymore," he muttered. "Ever since that mission, the stakes have constantly felt so much higher. That's why I asked for your help. I need to get stronger and not just rely on Coronamon anymore. Thank you for helping me out, Ryouta."

"Things are never simple the moment you get to the top," Ryouta admitted. "At times you have to face that you're not the strongest, despite being in the peak. Another time you felt like you can no longer have the luxury to sit back the moment you saw something happened in front of your eyes. Now that you're at the peak, if you are someone who walks on path of righteousness, you suddenly would feel the weight of being one with power. Make sure that you're not crushed by all of that like I did."
He sighed and nodded. "Well, I don't mind... still, for better or worse, I'm glad that you picked me first for the training. The mission back then... was it your very first encounter with failure?"
He heard the story. Heard how apparently Marshal took it so hard to the point of escaping from the Digital World, escaping from Coronamon. Still, he doesn't approve that at all. He however is not the one to judge that... He don't want to break Marshal even further from this.
"...How was it before that mission for you?"

"Before that mission, things were relatively simple," Marshal admitted. "Sure, we'd get into a few scary scrapes here and there, but we'd always manage to rise up and take care of it. That mission was the first time we were able to rise up to Super Mega, but things didn't get taken care of neatly. You were there, of course. You know how it went." He looked away as he remembered the aftermath of the fight against the BlackGroundramon. Ryouta had been injured after overdoing it to protect them. Bellamy had been hurt pretty bad emotionally. He and Coronamon had fallen unconscious after Biomerging.
"Neither of us knew how to handle something like that," Marshal continued, looking over at Coronamon. "I ended up doing something that I still regret because of it. Ever since we got back together, Coronamon and I have been devoting ourselves to finding out as much about this new form as we can, and seeing what we can do to make sure something like that never happens again." He kept looking at his sleeping partner. "Of course, now this happens. It's so frustrating to be this high of a level but still feel so useless."

"Guess your tenure was easier than mine," Ryouta admitted, chuckling. "...The third time or so I go to Digital World... it was hell. I encountered one of a crazy Digimon. It was Sandiramon... and it was my first time having Ryu evolves to Perfect. It was... goddamn, it was depressing as heck. There are five of us... or maybe more, hell I don't even fucking remember, but... all I remembered was the death of an Angemon, then the beach that tainted red from blood and the amount of dead bodies... it wasn't pretty, Marshal. It was a year ago. Have I told you that? I might have forgotten... well, all I can say is, since then we're no longer the same. Sandiramon gone without leaving traces at all, but the terror is still fresh in our mind."
He sighed and strokes Ryu who look at him worriedly.
'I guess that's the impetus for us to grow better. Anyway... I understand how you're feeling. But it's not too late. At least there are no death...--as much as how Ryu got angry... but yeah. It's still something you can mend at least. Anyway, let's get Coronamon back to health, then we can discuss what's next."

Marshal listened to Ryouta's tale. He was truly grateful for the first time that his adventures thus far had been as safe as they had been. He sat there, speechless.
Coronamon groaned a bit. The strange fluctuations in his data had subsided, but there was no telling what exactly that Bagramon had done to him.
"I agree," Marshal said quietly. "Let's keep moving forward." He fell asleep on the bed quickly, as he was still exhausted from the fight.
