From the other five bases, four of them depicted similar scenes of glorious carnage; the essence of war in its purest form. The last one, however, pictured something far different. A large table, spanning all across the vase, forms congregated all around it, seemingly in council; it wasn't really detailed, but a vague inscription read on the pottery's base. It read "For the path towards eternal glory to be secured, you shall follow the sacred virtues." It seemed incomplete, however; maybe the rest of the phrase was hidden somewhere in the room? Or maybe It was in a different place altogether? Those questions would remain unanswered... for now.
Penny, on her stead, eyed Ryouta with a bit of suspicion, and impatience. "You know, I don't know if we have enough time to loiter around or to make weird experiments on those things, but if you say so..." The dragon moved to what she considered a safe distance from the vases, somewhat irked at the notion. "Guess I'll babysit those two while I'm at it. Won't hurt." After all, they were closer to the vases than her own initial position, and were way more vulnerable to any... explosive consequence that endeavor might have.

"We have all day, Penny." Ryouta answered back. "I'm here with emergency vehicle if needed. I know you're impatient and I understand why, but at times we need to not be hasty and look what's in front of us," he gestured at the vases. "...And looks like I found something."
He examined it and read it out loud. "For the path towards eternal glory to be secured, you shall follow the sacred virtue... Huh." Ryouta blinked and tilted his head. "Does this place got any sort of motto? One that sounds like sacred virtue?"
Then again, what is sacred virtue? What is virtue itself? Is it about the ten commandments or something? Ryouta is not a Christian, so he had no idea what is this about. Neither he's interested in theology like Yuuki does. However, if it's other thing... Is it his Virtue then? But then again, his crest, [Justice] is the vaguest of vague. It can be a vice, it can be a virtue. Justice is the most morally ambiguous crest.
Still, these vases, does they make an epic if they're arranged well? Or will it not? "...Penny, move them away from me just in case."
Ryouta examined it further... and if there are nothing remarkable, he will insert his hand to the vase with council depicted on it.

"And that's where you're mistaken, Ryo." Penny quipped, her tone being serious. "If for some reason, we take enough time for the potential residents of this place to notice us, chances are that, whether we can get away safely or not, this place will be deserted by the time we have a chance to get back. Then this discovery would probably be in vain, and who knows how much I'll have to wait for a chance like this one."
Still, she was willing to be patient... for now. Looking at him with a bit of suspicion, she began to wonder what exactly was his intent. "Moving the vases? From their places? Aren't you worried about any trap being triggered by at the "robbery attempt?" I'm not partaking on that. Move them if you wish."
She found the question about a "motto" interesting, though. Recalling about it, she frowned a bit "Besides "practice" makes perfect" I don't remember anything specific in my days a trainee. And I doubt it's related to that, anyway. The term "sacred" makes them sound like they're the values of a religious sect or something if you ask me."
As Ryouta's hand went inside the vase, he'd feel the tact of a small bottle inside. If he retrieved it, he'd find resting on the palm of his hand a small, corked flask filled with clear liquid.

"Now that's just a blatant accusation," Ryouta retorted, pouting slightly. "I'm not robbing them. I'm just going to see if there is a way to arrange them to particular order. See, these pots all show about war, but this pot in particular... shows council. Almost like all war ends in covenant that attempted to upheld the peace. Now, about that..." Ryouta showed Penny what he hold on his hand. It seem to be a bottle of liquid or sort.
"...Are you familiar with this? It might be a clue... and... I'm going to try to get other thing just in case... Also, not the vase, Penny. You think I'm that heartless to tell you to move them while it's completely my own desire to check it? I might be idiot, but I'm sure as hell not someone who want to get my friend in direct line of the repercussion of my action. I mean move and protect those two."
With that being said, he attempted to insert his hand to the another pot if Penny had no idea what it is.

"Man, for being Mana's boyfriend, you're pretty oblivious to adventure tropes. And to air quotations, while at it." Penny couldn't but feel amused at Ryouta's reaction. "See how the vases rest on wooden blocks? Well, on some movies, as soon as you lift the bases from their resting places or maybe when you pick whatever's inside them, a switch activates and a huge boulder or something begins to roll on your way, its intent to trample all over you. The difference is that in here, we probably won't face a huge boulder and instead something actually dangerous for digimons. Got it? And like I said, if you want to think this a puzzle game instead of a blatant trap, go for it."
Regarding the strange vial Ryouta had gotten... she had no idea. "Hadn't seen a thing like that in my whole life." She responded, a bit a frown on her face. "Can be something good or something dangerous. Probably the only way to find out to use it."
If Ryouta went to the next vase, he'd find something... triangular in shape. But, if trying to lift it gently, it'd prove to be stuck in its place. In order to retrieve it, Ryouta'd need to apply a pretty decent amount of force.

"Well, I'm sorry, because the only way I know to do stuff until a year ago is to bulldoze my way through," Ryouta answered, as equally amused that she actually watched lot of those kind of movie. "Then again, you made me think that it's suited to one of the sacred virtue, you know? Thou shalt not steal, was it? Oh well, what do I know anyway... Anyway... should I try it?"
Don't even start thinking about doing that, Ryu retorted inside of him.
"Sorry, sorry. Anyway... I feel something triangular over here... it's seem stuck though. I don't think I want to use force to this anyway..."
...Break and it probably would mean something absurdly dangerous for them. He instead try to check for more of its features. If it's nothing notable, he would inspect the other vases one by one. But honestly, if only someone have way to illuminate the vase, huh? He didn't expect to meet Penny here, so he's pretty much came unprepared.

"Well. I'll let you know that the answer sometimes isn't trampling around everything until the situation magically fixes itself, you know? Especially when it's related to stuff that seem to be antiques. Aaaanyhow...."
To be completely honest, she didn't know if stealing could be considered a "sacred virtue" or not, but right now. If she had a say about it, she thought that they should keep the vial. But... that was Ryouta's decision. He had gotten it, after all.
On the other hand, it seemed that he had found... something? Something that was stuck in one of the vases. Now, that gave her an idea. "Look, this might sound a little too crazy, but what if the liquid in that vial loosens whatever's stuck on the vase? I'll try to be a smartass and say that all the other vases have similar items."
The item on that base seemed to be triangular, but at the same time, it felt a bit like... a piece of something bigger. If Ryouta went through the rest of the bases, he'd find other geometrical shapes, all of them stuck inside the vases. Maybe this was some kind of puzzle?

"Thaaaat's why," Ryouta answered back to Penny's comment about bulldozing. "I guess back then I just don't think because it's just that... that bad you know..."
Talking about little crazy, Ryouta just chuckled when Penny somehow got an idea from the thing. "I'll just ask here and say it out loud... Do you somehow read that a lot or watched it with Ryu back then when you guys are close?" Inside him, Ryu is protesting a lot, but Ryouta decided to ignore it. "It's not farfetched of course... can I get the vial back?" Ryouta took the vial again once Penny gave it to him, opened it and sniff it. Not directly of course. Draconic senses be damned. If it smells like something that at least would be used as loosening material, then why not? He poured a bit to the first pot, then attempted to pull.
If this is puzzle then he guess he had no choice at all.

It made sense, in all honesty. Brute force didn't seem to be the answer in a place like this. But still, this room gave the feeling that something was... off. Penny couldn't really explain it, but that was just how she felt it.
She didn't know why, but she had the impression that somebody was observing them- Oh well, maybe it was just pointless paranoia. She returned back to the situation at hand right when Ryouta decided to comment... on something that didn't come to the case, but that still made her chuckle. "My my, Ryo. If I didn't know you, I'd say that you're jealous about that. Maybe it's you who wants to be close to somebody?"
Teasing went, teasing came; such was the law of life. Regarding the vial, though, she handed it back with a shrug of her shoulders, wondering if he'd just go with her idea.
As soon as Ryouta opened it, he'd feel a... pungent smell inside. Almost as if he were smelling thinner or something of the like
Just like he had expected, as soon as the liquid came into the pot, it seemed that the piece inside loosened a bit; enough for him to pull out. A round, even if a little formless shape now rested on his hand. What he'd do about it?

"Heh, I admit I want to get close to somebody, but hey, we're not talking about me and Mana at the moment. We're talking about Ryu and you" of course someone inside him protested, but not that he can help it. "Doing alright before we gone missing, you two?"
While he talk, of course he also tried to get his hand on the next jar, hoping that it'll be another piece of puzzle. He had no idea if Penny could understand JSL, but Ryouta attempted to do it anyway. Of course he did it descreetly, only after he showed the dragon the piece he just took from the first pot, then checking the second pot.
["Is something bothering you? I felt like something bothering you..."]
He tried to look around for anything that might be a clue of what would cancel out traps at the same time.

Penny chuckled, an entertained expression resulting from Ryouta's words. The boy had a penchant of trying to change a topic into something that... didn't come to the case, in all honesty. "We weren't?" She added playfully. "I'd say that we were. But~ what you want to make out of it is your own." Her gaze went through the wall right through where Ayaka and Mana currently were. Letting out a short sigh, the dragon nodded. "More or less, I guess? I'm confident on we being alright, even though... well, you know. Who knows what happened. But that's not important at the moment, even though I wonder at times why I'm the only one who didn't go through losing my memory or changing my appearance..."
Well, the first piece went out rather smoothly, that was good! On the next jar, Ryouta'd find something that felt like what had found on the first, even though its shape was slightly different. It'd probably be wise to attempt the same thing? Maybe.
Penny'd suddenly look at Ryouta's signs, not understanding why he had decided to use them instead of talking, and not understanding his question at all. A puzzled look ensued, with a similarly confused tone. "Something bothering me? Well, besides the current troubles we have at hand, not much. Hope we can solve them soon, though."

"Man, Ryu never came out to you how he likes you a lot? Seriously, he need to be more active..." Ryouta muttered. Oh well, that was fine. "....About that, I guess it's because you aren't biomerged? I mean, I don't know. If you're partnered to her then probably you'd change too. However, you're not... also, I had no idea what happened to her, really. I mean, Yuu turned into a girl. A GIRL. Not sure what to felt about that, but what's amusing is he's apparently doing self marriage."
She doesn't understand what's wrong? Oh well... that's fine he guess. "Nevermind. Let's hope that we could get this puzzle right too then," Ryouta commented. He did the same thing to the rest of the jar, one by one, hoping that he's doing this right.

Penny, on her stead, couldn't but feel slightly flustered at Ryouta's words, even if a smirk graced her face soon after. Seriously... "You know, for a possible life-or-death situation, you're being hella cheeky with poor Ryu. You should honestly give him a break. After all, if you need for him to save your ass, you'd prefer to be in his good graces, amirite?"
In all honesty, it surprised her how much he could go on and about the weirdest of topics. Like, despite the dragon's own casual stance about it... she wasn't openly gossiping. Nor would be given the chance, apparently.
In the far side of the room, a whirring sound was enough to alert her. What was happening? Readying herself, the dragon was already prepared for the worst.
And instead, just found a door opening. Huh. "Weird." Maybe they were supposed to go in that direction? Or maybe it was some kind of trap? "What do we do?"
