What in the World Happened Here? [Dracnos|Open]

Rich looked at his watch, then back at the rest of the group. "Well, you're kinda right, Dracos. This was a result of me trying to maintain order in both the digital world and the human world. I haven't been able to change it since then and I'm not entirely sure what will happen when I do." Rich said, trying to contain his composure. Leo jumped in and leaned on Rich's shoulder to interrupt the story.
"So long story short, he pissed off the wrong digimon andThe made Rich a 7 year old. He can go borrow some of my power to get back to being 17, but... Here's the thing. This happened a few years ago, but Rich hasn't been able to age biologically since then. We're here to raid an old warehouse to see if there's something there that could help us out. "
"Why don't you just tell the whole world our plans, will ya? These people don't want to be involved with that" Rich brushed Leo off his shoulder and turned to Sophie. "To answer your question, I was one of the last commanders for DATS before they disbanded. I led my own team and everything with Leo here and we maintained the human world. Everything was going great, but when the leader disappeared, everything fell apart not long after. Before long, DATS crashed and burned without the proper leadership. I tried making another team with some of the other former members, but even that was too much to handle. It's good to see that someone is still trying to fight the good fight." Rich said, giving them a small smile.
Leo looked around the surrounding area and finally noticed something had changed. "This place... I don't remember this place being so destroyed. What happened here since we've been gone anyways? It looks like a bomb went off here or there was a huge fight or something." Leo turned to Rich and pouted a bit. "Maybe this is a sign we should come back? I don't like seeing the world like this and with the new digmon coming in, there's no telling what other damage they could cause."

He shrugged, in response to Sophie's apology, "that's alright, I forgot what I was mad about to begin with!" he chuckled, before listening in to their story, "a warehouse you say? Well, I ain't got other plans. Want me to distract the guards? I mean, not a one has beaten me in a dance-off, no one has even challenged me, yet." he stated, boldy, despite it not being a very impressive claim. "As to what happened here... No idea. I swear it was like this when I got here." he promised, his grin seemingly plastered on his face, as it barely moved as he spoke, his body moved in all sorts of ways, waving his arms carelessly and almost falling off of his perch. In all honesty, he was curious as to who this allmighty digimon could be. A demon lord? Olympian XII? Maybe even a Royal Knight!? Though he didn't see it as much of his business, and instead opted to keep that a mystery. Maybe he would just let the name slip or something.

Sophie's eyes widened as Rich and Leo told their story. That kind of power was something that a digimon could do? "Jesus..." she muttered, shaking her head.
Lantis meanwhile scratched his chin. "I've heard of that kind of power happening to digimon, being reduced to their lower forms and not being able to return, if their data was tampered with in a certain way. Maybe this is what happens when that kind of power is used on a human?"
So, they were going to raid an old warehouse to try and revert this condition? Sophie was down with that idea. "I see. Do you need any help?" she asked, thinking that she should at least attempt some kind of assistance. Maybe Dracnos could help out too? But only if he wanted to obviously. And it seemed he did.
"A dance-off...?" Lantis repeated, sweatdropping. Well, some digimon could be eccentric. He'd be surprised if this somehow ended up as a whimsical situation like that.
Sophie and Lantis paid attention closely as Rich said he used to be a DATS commander, but watched it disintegrate when its leader disappeared. This gave Sophie an idea. "Well... I'd be frank. I'd be honored if you could somehow help out with AEGIS. I really don't want to repeat the mistakes that DATS did. A former DATS commander helping us out would really be great in making a proper functioning team".
As to what happened here? "I don't know... but I think it's more concerning that it hasn't been repaired yet" Sophie remarked, looking back at the damage. "Something like this in the middle of Tokyo being simply abandoned like this with no story, I'd wager it was digimon related" she continued.
So then. To business. "Where abouts is this warehouse?" Lantis asked, curiously.

Rich looked up at Sophie and smiled. "It would be nice to help out, but my days of being part of a team are behind me. Too much has happened between then and now to be committed to a team again." Rich closed his eyes and turned away for a moment. "It's hard to think of myself doing anything team related again plus its hard to take anything seriously coming from a 7 year old. Thanks, but no thanks, Sophie."
Leo elbowed Rich in the side hard to get his attention. "You may not want to be on their team, Rich, but that's no reason to be rude." Leo looked up at Sophie and winked at her. "Just give it time. He'll come around to the idea." Leo said, nudging Rich again. Rich gritted his teeth in frustration and stepped on Leo's tail, causing the lion Digimon to yelp. Rich was stubborn and didn't like being told what to do and he wasn't big on changing his mind once it was made. Leo grabbed his tail and rubbed it to soothe the injury and Rich rubbed his side that Leo hit.
"Enough, Leo. This isn't the time to be getting into this again." Rich looked around at the rest of the group. "If you guys are serious about helping out I could use the help. I'm not entirely sure if the former leader left any traps in the place we need to go. I'm not exactly sure what we'll find in the warehouse, but I think there's a machine that can possibly reverse my... condition."
Lantis brought up the problem that Rich and Leo had been facing since they got back to the human world. Leo stepped forward and took over the conversation again. "Well... About that... We're not entirely sure where the warehouse is anymore. This whole place looks different now and the landmarks we used to navigate the bases are gone now. We thought the former leader did this so nobody could find the storage spaces anymore, but they may have been destroyed by whatever happened here. Either way, we should remain vigilant there if we find it."
Rich tried hard to hold back his laughter but failed when chuckles escaped his lips. "Really, Leo? Remain vigilant? Should we secure the perimeter while we're at it? Have you been studying the dictionary, or just watching educational television?"
"Be vigilant, be careful, be aware. Whatever you need to get the picture. The point is is that it's not gonna be safe, so just watch your step, but I digress. We need to find the warehouse before anything. Sophie, Lantis. You both took over, do you know of any old DATS warehouses in the area?"

DracNos was too busy, as, for the longest time, he was completely silent, lost in thought, trying to piece together who could have a power like this, mentally browsing the options, before finally snapping his fingers, "got it! It was a Clockman, wasn't it!?" He stated his theory, boldly, "it only makes PERFECT sense, he controls time in the digital world, and can stop someone's individual time, and he's the strongest, most dangerous champion level in existence!" He exclaimed, counting the links between the condition of Rorschach and the Mon he was describing, showing an odd knowledge above the dig imon due to having studied the strongest Digimon in the world, when he was a Tsumemon, "It fits perfectly!" He proclaimed, pointing his hands to the sky, before shrugging it off, "anyways, a warehouse, huh? You lookin for your deserting boss or something? He asked, pondering what sort of thing they would find in a dusty old place like the one they're describing. He decided he had nothing much to add, and turned to Sophie and Landis for new ideas.

Sophie nodded. While a little disappointed, it was understandable for someone to go through such a curse as this would probably be a bit hesitant about getting involved in it again. "That's okay. But the offer will still be open if you change your mind" she said.
Lantis meanwhile watched Leo and Rich's minor altercation with a cringe, making him glad that Sophie didn't do things like that to him. The most she did was pet him and brush his mane. But, he didn't really judge them for it.
At least Rich would accept their help. Sophie rubbed her head a little as he mentioned what may be ahead. "Oh boy, traps again..." she said. But she was intrigued when he mentioned that the warehouse in this district was DATS property, assuming that he was talking about the former DATS leader. "So there was a DATS base around here, eh?". Things were starting to make sense...
Ah, so they didn't know where it was? "Alright then, let's start looking" Sophie said. Lantis agreed with a nod, loosening the sword on his back in its scabbard a little. Best make sure it can be drawn quickly.
Leo then asked if they knew any DATS properties nearby. Lantis shook his head. "Nope, the only DATS property we know of is the old outpost in Shibuya station. I assume thats where DATS used to monitor the people and digimon getting off the Trailmons and entering Earth? Either way, all that was left when we first saw it were the lights. Not much intel".
Dracnos then raised the possibility that it was a Clock based digimon that had caused this... odd malady. Lantis made an agreeing noise at the back of his throat. "I guess that makes sense" he agreed.
"Well then..." Sophie said, having taken out her smartphone and accessed a map of the area. "According to this, there seems to be a kind of industrial block to the south of here. So, let's look around there for the moment".
"Unless the DATS warehouse wasn't put with the other warehouses..." Lantis added. But, well, this was an entertainment district after all, and an ugly big warehouse in the midst of glamorous theatres and Japanese entertainment buildings wouldn't be good town planning. So, Sophie and Lantis began moving South.

The mention of Clockmon made the young tamer shudder. Rich had a vendetta against the Clockmon since one of them turned him into what he is today. With that move, the digimon set the events in place that would effectively ruin Rich's relationship with the human world. Rich closed his eyes and took a deep breath to regain his composure before speaking. "Maybe it was Clockmon, but this damage looks pretty vast for a champion level. I've witnessed destruction similar to this caliber before, but that was done by an ultimate level digimon."
Leo scanned the area and tried to piece together what actually happened here, but too much time had passed to determine anything by his standards. "We can't know for sure what did this, Rich. It very well could have been a Clockmon that was left alone here for too long. Without DATS, the digimon would have been able to do as much destruction as they wished." Leo looked over the group and chuckled. "But, I digress. As I remember it, the warehouse didn't look like a warehouse because most of the storage was underground. As for the leader, I'm afraid we have no idea where he is or if he's even still alive. We haven't seen or heard from him in years."
Rich stepped into the conversation to answer Dracnos' question. "Back when all of this started, I didn't notice right away that the curse had side effects." Rich bent down and picked up a sharp rock off the ground. He held it to his arm and made a small cut, causing him to bleed. Within the blood of the tamer appeared to be numbers also leaking out. "Like digimon, I have data in me now. It's in my DNA and I think it's the reason I stopped aging. If I'm right, there is a machine in the warehouse we're looking for that would separate the data from me and make me fully human again. Maybe if its all out of my system, I'll turn back to normal." Rich looked around at the rest of the group and smiled. "It's a little far-fetched, but I'm willing to try anything at this point."
The fact that Sophie and Lantis didn't know of any nearby warehouses made Rich feel discouraged. The tamer began getting lost in his own thoughts of self-doubt. What if Max destroyed the base when he left? What if whatever demolished this area did the same for the warehouse? He adjusted his hat so it was covering his eyes and he looked down at the ground. Leo noticed his tamer's change in mood and began tugging on his arm. "Come on, Rich. They said there may be something south of here. The quicker we find this warehouse, the closer you are to being normal again."

"Don't think Clockmon would have done this, if I recall correctly, they usually stay neutral, so things stay fair, they wouldn't trash a place for humans just for kicks, sounds to me like a rogue ultimate or mega level damage" He remarked, looking at the damage.
He turned interested in the idea of that condition, "data in the dna? Guess that could be a side-effect, who knows?" He asked, eyeing the data, he approached, touching it with his red claw, some of the numbers were naturally sucked in, as his vampiric data automatically took in the data, "Whoops!" He yelped, yanking his hand away, "Sorry! Dracula coding, don'tcha know?" he fumbled, hoping that did nothing to his health.
He seemed to forget his own train of thought, as he turned to Lantis, "If you wanna know the strongest mons, talk to me, aight?" he whispered, nodding and giving a thumbs up, before turning elsewhere, and something let out a party horn and confetti flew around, as he pulled out a rock-like object, examining it closely.

"Wait what?" Lantis asked, a little confused. "Clockmon did this damage or the curse? What are we talking about?" Sophie cleared her throat as an indication for the Spadamon to stop at this point. This conversation probably wasn't a positive subject for Rich.
Dracnos then said something that made him realize they were talking about the damage. "Ah, right. Yeah I'd say a Perfect at the minimum" he said. "Or worse, two perfect levels, if they were being opposed in combat".
So the warehouse was actually underground? 'Wow, DATS must have been loaded...' Sophie thought. After all, underground facilities cost a lot of money. "I take it that DATS had connections with the Government, right?" she asked, curiously. Maybe the government had pulled funding when the leader left and that's how it fell apart?
Then Rich seemed to cut himself open with a sharp rock. "Oh christ!" Sophie swore, running over to the boy. "Why did you do that? ...Oh my" she looked quite surprised to see that the blood seemed to be digitized. This was very odd. And somewhat frightening. Sophie was suddenly worried about being here in this area, what with digimon capable of messing up people this drastically.
Then Dracnos touched the data, and some of it seemed to be leeched in. "Hey, careful!" Lantis said, hoping that accident didn't have negative consequences.
Then came another interesting fact. "Digimon don't age?" she asked, glancing at Lantis.
"Well... yeah, we do" he said. "Just not as visibly as you humans? It's complicated because we change forms so drastically, but, in say 20 years, I'd still look just like this in my Spadamon form".
Finally Sophie understood something, which was somewhat of a first for the past few minutes.
"Okay, if there's anything you know that can help us out, that'd be great" Lantis answered Dracnos. They then proceeded south, and suddenly Sophie jumped when she heard a loud party horn.
"What the hell?" she asked, seeing confetti float around. Was this a digimon's doing? Or some kind of trick?

(I'm really sorry about the wait. I had to get my keyboard fixed)
Rich watched in horror as his data was accidentally leeched by Dracnos. His eyes widened as he began to get slightly lightheaded, but he wasn't sure if it was from the leeching itself or the discovery that he was now susceptible to digital abilities of digimon. "It's... fine I guess. I'm not entirely sure what that will do to me, but I feel fine so no harm done." Rich said as he began to fiddle with his watch. After a few moments, a flash of green light came out of the watch and when it faded, a first aid kit was in the young tamer's hands. Rich quickly went to work nursing the wound on his arm while the others in the group chatted. Before long, his arm was wrapped in a beige bandage to prevent further damage.
Leo smiled at the remark about digimon age. "Digimon have the best skin! Look! No wrinkles or anything! I feel like I do the first day I became Coronamon." Leo said, bouncing around a bit as he spoke. The sound of the confetti going off put Rich and Leo on the defensive. Rich put his hand on his watch again and Leo summoned a flaming sword to his hands. They looked around for a moment, then realized that there was no threat. Leo let the flaming blade fade and Rich took his hand off his watch. Leo tried smiling to play off their overreaction, but Rich could feel his cheeks getting redder by the moment.
"S..Sorry about that. When you've been through as much as we have, you learn to be on your guard at all times." Rich looked back at Dracnos. "I kinda thought it was one of those strong digimon you were mentioning before."
Leo looked around curiously looking for the source of the noise. "What... what exactly was that? Pops like that don't happen. Do you think we should search the area?"
Rich waved off his suspicious digimon. "You're being paranoid, Leo. It's not our problem unless we make it our problem. Now let's just do what we came here to do and move on from there." Rich looked around for a moment before turning back to his digimon. "See? There's nothing here except for a little confetti. There's no need to stress about it so just let it slide."

He let out a sigh, "Aight, that's cool, these claws? All to myself." He reassured Rich, sticking his hands behind his back, and stumbling as he was blinded by the action.
Hearing a conversation about age, he looked up from the weird rock, "Well, if you wanna go into specifics, I "Grew older" by dying, then comin back as a vampire. From what I can tell, that is NOT how you all grow up." He remarked, shrugging, basically talking to everyone assembled.
He noticed they panicked slightly when he opened his little box. "Yeah, isn't this thing cool?" He asked, showing off his tiny little box, with a symbol that was clearly the symbol of a digiegg, a swirl that swelled upwards, resembling a balloon, with another line circling around it, making a little bulge at the bottom where the end of it would be. He opened it, again, causing a party horn to extend outwards, releasing it's triumphant call, once more, and throwing out confetti, once more. Oddly enough, the confetti from before seemed to vanish when the new confetti came out, though only when focus was lost on them.

Both Sophie and Lantis gasped as Rich seemed to make something materialize out of his watch. Although, on second thought, Sophie probably shouldn't be so quick to act like that. Especially with digimon things involved. "Is that some kind of DATS gadget?" she asked, curiously.
Lantis meanwhile glanced at Leo. "No offense but I imagine wrinkles are easy to hide under that fur?" he asked, giving a playful smile to show he was just messing around. He then turned to Dracmon with sympathy. "Yeah... I get that feeling, brother" he said. "Well... not the vampire thing, but, I'm pretty sure that I've died and come back as, well, yours truly".
Then all of a sudden, when the confetti went off, Leo suddenly drew a sword of fire. Sophie gasped, but Lantis was more awed by that ability. He liked it when other digimon showed prowess with swords. And this was very impressive to him.
However, with possible danger afoot, he kept attention to any other threats that might be in the area. And... it turned out to be some kind of box. Lantis quickly sheathed his sword, looking embarrassed at having reacted so quickly.
The contents of the box meanwhile were interesting though. "Ohh, is that a digimental?" Lantis asked, eagerly. "What crest is it meant to represent?"
Digimental? Crest? Sophie was lost so far in this part of the conversation.

Rich looked up at Sophie, then back at his watch, then back at Sophie. "You could say that since it was made using some of their tech, but it was made without them knowing about it. It's called the infini-watch and it has a few functions, but its mostly for storage. I"d take it off to show you, but it's attached to me and doesn't come off. Lately, it's been giving me some trouble though. For some reason, I can't get my digivice out and Leo can't digivolve past his Coronamon stage without it." Rich realized he was rambling and took a deep breath to compose himself. "I digress. long story short, it holds my stuff and it's unique to me. Don't worry though. I'm sure you'll get cool equipment with your new team. Every team I've been with has given me useful gadgets"
The talks of past lives made Leo briefly flash back to his previous life. He didn't remember much, and he didn't like talking about the parts that did remember."I can remember only bits and pieces of my past life and I feel like it's slipping away from me more and more each day. I remember...dying, but I don't really remember anything before that.Old memories get replaced by new ones I suppose. At least I have this guy to spend it with. " Leo said, pointing his thumb at Rich. Leo peered into Dracno's box to get a peak of the digimental inside. "It's a great thing that you've found one of your digimentals. It means that you found more about yourself along the way. We've found a digimental for me for endurance, but it's a bit different than this one."
Rich looked into the box and nodded in approval. He then nudged Leo with his elbow and smiled. "Hey, Leo. Why isn't your digimental that cool? Dracnos has confetti, sound effects, and a cool carrying case for it." Leo stuck his tongue out at his tamer and looked to Lantis and Sophie. "So what about you guys? Have you found any digimentals yet?"

"Digimental? Ya mean this thing?" He asked, pulling out an egg-shapes stone with a similar marking as the box, that resembled two segmented coils, one pink, the other yellow, circling each other, with a small flat spot around the bottom of the thicker side of the stone, for the symbol to be displayed. "The robot clowns told me this was Indulgence, or somethin' along those lines." he replied, again recalling the metallic entertainers he met in the sewers, "wait, "One of"? there are more for me?" He pondered, "Well, guess it doesn't really matter, does it. And I think you don't really understand, I started as a Tsumemon, and then my digicore failed, and re-started, a bit, and then I was an undead digimon," He summarized, "Didn't have any of this memory loss you all seem to have, sorry." He shrugged, "What you two are talking about is the basic process of a digimon dyin', you die, you lose yer data, and your core is reborn as a digiegg, and things restart from there, didn't happen for me, cause I'm undead, and all." he shrugged, recalling his knowledge of digimon re-incarnation, as once he saw a mighty digimon fall in battle, he wondered what had happened to it afterwards, therefore, he researched it, during his younger, more power-hungry years.

The watch... didn't come off? Sophie was rather shocked by that.
"I'm starting to understand the reason why DATS was disbanded..." Lantis remarked. "That sounds like some dangerous technology they have there..."
"Yeah" Sophie agreed. "Well... with AEGIS we're hopefully going to not go too high-tech at the start. Like, we'd probably use things we know we can control, maybe buy some tools from Terminus City as well to use. But, uh, probably not things like infini-watches just yet".
Lantis agreed with Leo's outlook. "Yeah. I mean, we're all alive and well and having good times with friends, right?" he said as an optimistic approach.
Sophie shook her head. "Nope, we haven't found anything like that yet" she said. So, Dracmon's digimental was Indulgence.
As they talked a bit more of exactly how Dracnos was "undead", they eventually came to the warehouse district. Large buildings lined the streets. Most were closed since this district had its... unfortunate event. But Sophie looked to Rich.
"I guess it's underground, so, does this area look familiar?" she asked. Perhaps the entrance was around here somewhere.
