A Closer Look at Dante and Associates

I've been wanting to do some behind the scenes things with my threads for a while, so let's take a closer look and scratch beneath the surface. Some of the things I will be covering, Timeline, Character Information, how things came to be, and anything else I feel like diving into. This will help serve as kind of a glossary of my canon storyline. I look forward to talking about what I was thinking about during the writing process, and reliving these stories again. But first, I would like to start off with a timeline leading up to my first thread.
The following takes place within my canonical universe with these characters, according to what has already been established. Long ago, the Digital World was ruled over by powerful digital beings known as Goddesses. Beautiful and wicked women capable of incredible magic. Each one sought for more power and influence, and feuds between them over domains became common. As of now, four Goddesses have appeared within canon, or referenced. Victoria, the unnamed Nature Spirit Dante visits at her desert oasis, the Mistress Azetramon, and the Goddess of Destruction, Lilithmon.
Not much has been established about these Goddesses. All I have said before is that they ruled over the Digital World for a time, both feared and revered. This shouldn't clash with any established canon hierarchy this site has, and is for the sake of the storyline. Eventually, Lilithmon formed an alliance with the Dark One, and the Prince of Chaos, Piedmon. These three evil overlords banded together, forming the Dark Triad. With their forces combined, they overthrew the other Goddesses one by one, eventually gaining supreme rule over the Digital World. This marks a major split in my timeline, a line between two distinct eras.
However, this alliance does not last forever. Lilithmon and the Dark One become romantically involved. They see themselves as sort of the king and queen, and Piedmon quickly becomes jealous of their love and power. In an attempt to overthrow the two, something goes wrong, and Lilithmon is destroyed. Enraged by this betrayal and the loss of his love, the Dark One banishes Piedmon to another dimension, doomed to spend an eternity alone. All is not lost for Lilithmon, as her data becomes a digi egg.
Here's another major launching pad that directly affects things to come. The Dark One wants to restore his lover, but she would only come back as a lower level Digimon, and it would take time, and maybe even a partnership with a Tamer to fully restore Lilithmon. So the Dark One has his minions organize a set of specially picked eggs, including Lilithmon's. The eggs are delivered to the Human World where a group of children will find them. Everything would have worked out, but Wizardmon interfered. While under the Dark One's reign, he was still loyal to Piedmon, and began sabotaging the Dark One's plans from within, all while maintaining his role as a faithful servant.
While the eggs were delivered, Wizardmon scared off the family of the child who was to receive Lilithmon's egg, this being Dante. They moved away from Japan, and without its Tamer the egg was doomed to lay dormant. The other eggs were found by the children, and they became Tamers. There was Revan, Sakiko, Shirou, and Cassius. At one point, another Tamer was referenced, but nothing has been established sense, and this little plot element has yet to be fleshed out. Their Digimon would go on to be Gabumon Black, Devimon, Keramon, and Betamon, respectively. Sakiko does not have her Digimon partner at the start of the story, but it has been established that her partner is Devimon. Their Rookie form has not been revealed.
The Dark One sent his minions to watch over these Tamers, and soon enough they became loyal to the sole remaining ruler in the Digital World at this time. However, eventually these Tamers and their Digimon broke away from the Dark One's influence, becoming the Defectors. They are unlike most teams of Tamers, as their morality is neither inherently good or evil. They adopt a self serving philosophy that leans more towards the dark, without being further aligned with the Dark One. At first, Cassius is seen as the leader. He was bigger than the scrawny and pale Revan and Shiro, and Sakiko was singled out as the only girl.
The Defectors spend the next few years raising their Digimon, and becoming a powerful faction. They found their Digimon partners when they were about 9-12, and now they are around 18-21. As they grew, so did their powers. At one point, Shirou and Revan battle Cassius in a three way battle to determine their new leader. Cassius's overconfidence costs him, and Revan takes the win, claiming his title as leader of the Defectors. They spend most of their time at Sakiko's house, where they have a hidden computer lab to serve as their headquarters. Eventually Revan and Sakiko start dating. Cassius specializes in rogue like skills becoming a thief, and Shirou specializes in computers, becoming the team's tech guy. At some point, Devimon is captured by the Dark One while they are on a mission. And that leads up to Dante and Judith moving to Japan, where everything changes forever.
There is a recap of all the major events that took place leading up to POST 1. Be sure to check out my first thread "Waking Up in a New Home" digimonforumrp.freeforums.net/thread/1802/waking-new-home-open if you want to see it all unfold from the beginning. Before I continue on with the timeline, I will be getting into some of the characters. What they look like, what their personality and relationships are, and what I was thinking in the research and development stage. Thanks for taking an interest in my writing. Here is a quick rundown of some of my many, many, many characters, at least the earlier ones.
Dante, his sister Judith, his partner Wormmon, his friend Rob, his teacher Mrs. Kurosawa, his crush Angel.
The Defectors: Revan, Sakiko, Shirou, Cassius.
Team Takashi: Takashi, Sal, Bo, TJ.
The Dark One's Forces: Wizardmon, Leomon, Bakemon, Exveemon (Virus).
