"At the worst it'd be considered C rated. It's kind of amusing really."
He'd shrug and look out of a nearby window, frowning ever so slightly. Thoughts of all the members of vexus he got to meet in his head. Mixed with the speech that the leader had made along with... Well everything else that followed. Cold feet was a terrible thing, but he was glad he hadn't partaken in such an event. He had only shown up to the late aftermath, the fighting and danger had passed by the time he had stepped foot in it. Shaking his head he'd turn to look at the three of them, a rather serious expression on his face.
"They're strong. Well. They were strong. At the time that I joined, I was just barely ultimate and most of the other members were super mega. There was a variation of strength across the board and it was odd being in the middle ground. I don't think they'll come back. Many of them have vanished and have stayed vanished for a long time. Some of them might of died, others might of simply desired peace. Regardless, being the only one that is actively moving around could be bad for any surviving members. If the entire group was to come back, I'd be worried for the state of Digital world even more than I am. At least from what I've been able to tell from other people, the damage done from the attack didn't phase Luminas for too long."
He'd pause briefly and shake his head ever so slightly.
"It's not the only thing that could catch up to me. I don't like thinking about most of what I've done when I was younger; I was a foolish individual trust me. But dark and bad places from the past only tend to make you stronger; you're here now and didn't end then. That's the important part."
He'd sigh ever so softly and rub the back of his neck; that speech that the leader of vexus had made.... Was very persuasive. It was easy to make the people to think like them, to do things like them. To go along with things; it was a mix of charisma and persuasive ability. It was something more than anything he'd have, he wasn't a leader in any sort. He might of been a mentor at best if he followed the right path. But that wasn't going to happen and he knew it.
"Yes. I'm in profit, not many people seem to know that but I suppose it's okay. I was only brought in to look at something Yuu wanted me to look at. Being an engineer and all; but past that I can imagine if a fight happened I'd be no doubtably useful."
He'd give the three an odd look at the inquiry of how he came across PROFIT. It was more amusing than he'd like to admit really. It was something he'd likely have a hard time remembering. It seemed as though that anytime he went to a beach he met someone life changing in some manner. It was very amusing in hind sight.
"I actually went ot the beach believe it or not. We happened to bump into one another and things just took off from there in the conversation that ensued. What about yourself?"

Colin and his partners listened to Kan's account of what happened with this Vexus group. Luke's eyes widened a little while Bellamy's eyebrow rose as Kan mentioned that Vexus had attacked the city of Luminas once.
"Ah, right, so sounds like Vexus was one of those "Those that burn brightest burn out the fastest" groups, huh?" Bellamy asked, interested. "Welp, not gonna lie, kinda glad they're not around. It's hard enough tryin' to keep the digital world in one piece without people like that, although I don't blame 'em for goin' after Luminas. Horrible place up there".
Luke was a bit less optimistic about that and wanted to ask more, but, realized it was probably a sensitive subject. However he was thankful when Colin said his piece.
"If there's still Vexus members out there and they mess with the business of PROFIT, well, hopefully it won't come to that, but, if they're not extinct now, they probably would be then" he said. "PROFIT's got lots of Super Mega members as well, although we don't want to overthrow anyone".
Maybe that was why PROFIT was probably one of the more stable teams of the digital world? They were mostly neutral in things, only acting against the more extreme forces around the place?
Kan's next words were curious as well. He mentioned doing lots of foolish things when he was younger. While the three of them were curious about them, well, maybe now wasn't the time to discuss it? After all, they were nearing the zone of reconaissance.
At least his explanation of being a part of PROFIT made sense. "Ahh, right. Well, good to know you're on our side" Luke said, pleased. He at least understood the story of how Yuu would enlist his services. Then Kan mentioned he had come across the team on a beach.
"No kiddin'? Heh, that's how we came across it too" Bellamy said, smirking. "Although the first PROFIT member we met was Koharu... no, wait, I mean Ryouta, although we didn't know it at the time".
"Yeah, Koharu introduced us to the organization, then we met GladiXVeemon, who introduced us to Yuu, and that's how we got involved" Luke explained.
Well then, all of this was some neat storytelling. After that, Colin and his partners paid attention to the TV screen, which was showing the input from the scans of the region below. There was little signal so far, which was understandable, as the digimon involved would be sailing on a wooden ship and therefore give off very little signature. However, they were very wary.
"Do you think they'll see us before we see them?" Colin asked Luke, a little worried.
"Unlikely. Daedalus's sensor systems are up there with the best" the Teslamon replied, confidently.
What happened next, while it didn't prove him wrong as the signature was picked up on the screen before it happened, well, it wasn't of much use. At once, the cabin lurched and splintered as something struck it hard. Colin gasped, immediately being protected by his partners. But what had happened?!
"I have sustained a direct hit!" Daedalus said, sounding worried, but maintained a professional tone. "From below, southeast. Enemy has been sighted!"
The digimon looked down, seeing a distant speck on the water. It had black sails. Luke's mouth opened with horror. How could that hit them from that far?!
"I recommend you all get up on deck and digivolve!" Daedalus continued. "If it hits again, you may not survive in there!"
Well, this was a fairly dramatic escalation. Supposing they had little choice, Colin led them up the stairs to the upper deck of Daedalus's cabin. From there, well, they would hopefully be able to take action.

"They were yes. But at the same time, they were the sort that was easy to grab you and your attention. So you can imagine how they got me. Said alot of things I agreed with. I'm glad they're not around in full, else the digital world might be a little darker. But it wouldn't surprise me if some of them were about still. If they were smart they'd leep themselves away from Luminas as I have."
Kan rubbed the back of his head, frowning slightly. It wasn't really a sensitive subject to him, maybe a sore one. He didn't really know how to approach it still. What was he supposed to do about that whole thing? It'd be difficult to do anything without getting attacked outright.
"They wouldn't be interested in PROFIT, it's not a government. That and from what I can tell they'd like just ignore one another. But that's getting into the maybe's considering they're not around."
A firm shrug and he'd lean back in his chair, humming thoughtfully. What else could he really say about it? Nothing really. He'd have to go and find the leader and there was little doubt in his mind.. That it would be impossible for him to do so. He wouldn't want to either.
"Well I'm glad you think so. Can't really say much more than that, who else could I even join if not PROFIT? Doubt anywhere else would really take me."
He'd chuckle and gaze at Bellamy as they spoke, his eyes darting back over to luke before firmly gazing at the TV ship. He found himself frowning and the man leaned forward in his chair just before the cabin lurched and splintered. He'd stand up with a grunt, his hand finding itself holding his digivice. He could hear the voice of Silvermon ring out in his head something fierce. The snarling voice was practically oozing bloodlust. He couldn't understand what they were saying but he could tell immediately what they wanted.
Unlike so many digivolutions his light wasn't as bright; it wasn't as stunning. It was this sour pale thing that just screamed wrong. It condensed and writhed; if it had a feel it'd be slimy and gritty.
His body was replaced with that of a creature straight out of lovecraftian nightmares. Six eyes graced his head and a matt of them graced one shoulder, looking every which way. Two wings unfurled and he grumbled in a loud, rather guttural voice as the others made their way up.
"Let them know I'll be below you Daedalus.
With that the large canid digimon phased through the cabin, all eyes were pointed [for the most part] downwards towards the sea. He had quite an armament he could use. But he wasn't sure if he should risk using his highest state. He was still uncomfortable in that form, feeling all sorts of wrong whenever he was in it. That one fight was no exception.

Kan's spirit digivolution was... something unlike Colin or his partners had ever seen. They were used to seeing light and surging energy, but this was something different altogether. They stared as they crossed the room to the steps leading up to the deck. Colin would have stayed to see it in total, but, Luke pulled him up the rest of the stairs.
Daedalus meanwhile was aware of the evolution, and felt a small sense of fear from such a creature being present aboard his cabin. But, thankfully, he did not seem intent on doing damage, and Colin trusted him, so that was enough for the Airship digimon.
"Very well" he said, and informed Colin and the twins that Kan would be fighting alongside them, having phased through the floor.
Colin meanwhile had his digivice out. "We'll biomerge, guys, I don't know what kind of threat we're facing" he told them. Both Luke and Bellamy complied, standing by their partner as he slashed the card. "Digimodify! Biomerge Activate!"
At once, the three burst with light. Three merged into one, the resulting figure appearing to be an armored angel digimon equipped with hammers. BlackJupitermon.
He unfurled his long, feathered wings and took to the sky. Immediately, he turned around to see the damage done to Daedalus and gasped. One of his rear engines had been completely destroyed - smoke and broken metal trailing from him.
Then, before their very eyes, a second shot from below hit the AirVessemon, blasting open the cabin. If they had been standing where they were, they would have likely been killed instantly.. "No! Daedalus!" BlackJupitermon cried. He looked down to where the shots were coming from, and saw it.
There was a sailing ship present below, with black sails and a strange, shimmering black shield. And on its deck, he could see with his enhanced vision as a Super Mega. There was a digimon, aiming a large gun straight at Daedalus. BlackJupitermon had to fight it. The skies around turned dark as clouds gathered. Flashes of lightning burst overhead. In a snarl, he shouted "Fall Ganymede!" and at once, a huge bolt of lightning struck the ship below. Would it work? From this distance, 500ft in the air and about three quarters of a mile away, the small ship didn't seem to be damaged...
Then, he saw Kan's strange, monstrous Spirit form flying below Daedalus. Would he be able to help?
A strange, corrupted shield surrounds the sailing ship below.

He was used to staring, he was used to people wondering what the hell silvermon was. But in honesty out of everyone in the group of spirits he had to admit he trusted this particular one more than any other. Even if it was ultimate tier and unhinged it wouldn't do things out of the ordinary and it's desires were easier to handle. Ussually all it wanted was food or sleep, things that could be given without hesitation.
He'd look around and snarl in irritation. The distance was far too great and he was sure without a doubt that Silvermon was more suited to close range attacks than long ranged ones. He was eventually greeted with the sight of a blackJupitermon; which he hadn't seen before. Blinking and slowly turning kan noted that Daedalus was hit with another shot. Hitting the cabin that they had been in just a little bit ago. He'd grit his teeth and follow the line of fire to where the ship was.
The distance is too great for me to engage, but I can stop those shots from hitting Daedalus whilst he makes his escape. We shouldn't engage on their terms but..."
Seeing that attack hit the ship and the lack of apparant damage... Mixed with that shield kan felt a chill run down his spine. He recognized that sort of shield, he had faced it once before back in the underground of some ruins. There was a little bit of combat there and the problem was easily solved by some person with healing abilities. Abilities he didn't have. He'd grit his teeth and shake his head calling out to BlackJupitermon making sure to intercept any attacks directed towards Daedalus.
"We need to leave Colin! We can't handle that on our own, this is something we need to get others for. That shield is from something we don't have the ability to deal with!"

It seemed that Kan didn't have any long range attacks that could damage the ship, but, it didn't seem like it would have helped much anyway. It seemed the strange dark shield around the vessel below could withstand even a strike from a Super Ultimate level.
"Alright" BlackJupitermon said, and was seriously planning on firing off his strongest attack, when Kan's next words gave him pause. He had encountered a power like this before? "Truly?!" he asked, then turned to his airship mercenary. "Daedalus! Get out of here!"
Before he could though, a third shot burst from the ship. And this one struck true. Daedalus's helium tanks were hit next, and the damage was immense. "DAEDALUS!!" BlackJupitermon shouted as an explosion erupted from his remaining engines. The airship was going down.
He knew at once how dire the situation was. Daedalus was too large to have his descent halted. A trail of black smoke billowed from the struck AirVessemon. It seemed that this was truly his end. "Kan! Can you help me get him away from here..." he trailed off, sadness in his voice. How could two smaller digimon get such a large digimon away?
How could it end so abruptly? Colin, Luke and Bellamy had spent so much time aboard Daedalus's cabin, enjoying their adventures in the digital world together. And Daedalus felt the same. "I am... sorry..." he said to them.
"Daedalus..." BlackJupitermon softly cried with despair.
They had hired him as a Blimpmon long ago, and he would take them on adventures anywhere in the digital world. They lived on him. Colin had even named him and called him a part of his family. Then, at once, a resolve glowed within and without. They were more than mercenary and clients. And their adventures would not end today.
"Not yet, my friends..." Daedalus said, the AirVessemon glowing. "NOT YET!!"
At once, BlackJupitermon knew what was happening. Hope quickly replaced despondency. Was this...? Yes! It was!
"Airvessemon... Digivolve to...!"
Daedalus transformed at once into a magnificent new machine digimon. His head now resembled that of a dragon with gleaming blue eyes. A digimon that resembled a metallic dragon airship, coated in red and white paint. He even appeared to gain arms and legs, but his arms held a cannon and his legs were jet thrusters. BlackJupitermon had never seen such an amazing digimon.
"...Heliodramon!"
As the evolution finished, a fourth shot rang out from the ship. But this time, all that happened was a large, round transparent blue shield glowing and the shot was deflected. In response, eight rockets shot out of launchers along his port and starboard, hurtling down toward the ship. They would explode upon the shield, but leave enough smoke to cover their escape.
"Now then, we shall return to Whitewater!" Daedalus shouted, and began his flight. This time, as a Mega level. BlackJupitermon smiled, then turned to Kan.
"Alright. Let's go, Kan, you're right!" he said. But as he turned to leave the battlefield, he swore he would return and deal with this threat in full force.

"What's the point of me lying?"
He'd snort and glance nervously between the ship down below and Daedalus. He could feel the irritation well up not only from Sivlermon, but from Kryptmon too. Most of his digimon were suited for close ranged combat. Most of them couldn't do an open well and clear fight like this. They'd likely get peppered down the whole way down. He'd turn again barely missing seeing the shot that hit Daedalus. The explosion made him wince and he could see that descent start. What was he going to do? He was way too large.
"I can try, but I don't know what I can do to really help."
The sadness was frustrating, the anger was palatable. He could feel silvermon's rage boil over and threaten to take them down there. But that wouldn't accomplish anything. He reigned in the digimon as Daedalus started to glow, dozens of eyes widened and silvermon turned on his heel mid flight. He had never seen a Helidramon up close before, usually the ones he did see were so far off it was hard to tell what the hell they were really.
His curiosity and surprise was cut short as a fourth shot range out from the ship. He'd grit his teeth and whip around, ready to deflect the damn thing with some sort of attack. But... The blue shield sprung up, and then the shot was deflected. The response was somewhat satisfying but wouldn't do much against that shield. He'd bob his head and turn back to the BlackJupitermon, but where there should of been a smile was just a scowl.
"Whitewater is going to be in trouble if this isn't dealt with quickly."
He moved to follow after the Blackjupitermon, flapping his wings a couple of times to get moving properly.
"I'll explain more when we get back."

BlackJupitermon concurred. If this ship approached Whitewater, it would be very, very bad news. However, Daedalus seemed to have some reassuring information.
"The ship appears to be turning back out to sea" he said. "For some reason it does not seem intent on sailing toward land, or at least, any known lands".
After a short while of flying, they would soon see land, then Whitewater. BlackJupitermon and Daedalus descended for a landing, finally setting down on a flat spot on the beach. Seemingly safe for now, BlackJupitermon glowed white and separated - the forms of Colin, Luke and Bellamy rematerializing.
"Man, Daedalus..." Bellamy said, looking up at the Heliodramon. "I thought you really were a goner there, pal".
"Indeed, but it's thanks to you all that I had the resolve to get through that" the red mechanical dragon said. "Now then. We seem to have a better idea of the rogue ship in question do we not?"
"Yes, we do" Colin said. "It's small, armed and protected with a shield. And deadly to Perfect levels it looks like... but not Mega levels".
"To be fair though, it's only because Daedalus was a large target" Luke pointed out. "Maybe if a small target approaches the ship, they might have a better chance?"
Colin then turned to Kan. "You mentioned you encountered a power like this before. Could you explain what it is?" he asked, thinking that was an important piece of information to know before he'd go and make the arrangements to deal with this danger.
