Name of Mission:
Mysterious Blackout in Hardware Den
Member Count:
A maximum of 3.
Rank:
B
Client:
Hagurumon, overseer of the power grid and local power stations. Will be unable to assist beyond providing information. It's up to you to help us solve this!
Levels Needed:
[2 or 3 Champions] or [3 Armours or equivalent] and a maximum of [1 Ultimate]. If an Ultimate is present, any number of Champions, Armours or Rookies may join.
Requirements:
No specific requirements needed, although knowledge in technology will be useful.
Plot Description:
Hardware Den has always had intense energy requirements, and has thus designed a multitude of ways to meet these requirements. Although the energy is mostly generated by wind turbines and solar panels, electrical substations are still required to alter the voltage of the electricity generated to suit the needs of the city.
We have now been underneath our energy requirements for 5 days, and sectors of Hardware Den have been experiencing periodic power-cuts. This is absolutely unacceptable, and must be remedied.
Of course, you don't need to know that. All you need to know is that we have lost all contact with one of our main substations. This substation is vital to the running of the city, and we need it operating back at full capacity as soon as possible!
None of our engineers or scientists have been able to pinpoint the issue, and any couriers we've sent have failed to return.
We require any Digimon or even humans willing to help be capable of finding and addressing the problem. Technical know-how is preferred, but I will be capable of providing you the instructions to reset the substation if needed.
Those interested in aiding us will be duly rewarded, and should come meet me in the main power-processing lab located in the heart of Hardware Den for further discussion of what I require from you, and to give you the equipment you'll need for the job.
Mission Description:
The interested party will need to visit Hagurumon in his lab, located near the centre of Hardware Den, and congregate together there. Hagurumon will be able to give the required equipment needed for the mission to the participants and explain further what they will need to do. A radio transmitter and receiver will also be given so that the party may communicate with Hagurumon as they complete the mission, if they so wish so.
Once the briefing is over, the party will need to travel out of Hardware Den and travel for 45 minutes until they reach the substation. Once there, they will be required to find and resolve the issue preventing the substation from working. Once the substation is operating normally again, the party may return to Hagurumon to debrief and receive their reward.
Objective Summary:
1. Visit Hagurumon in his lab for a mission briefing and to be handed your equipment.
2. Go to the substation and find out what's causing the disturbance, and resolve it.
3. Repair and reset the substation.
4. Return to Hagurumon for your reward.
Grace Period:
5 days.
Reward Offered:
The choice between:
1. Learning of the electric based attack Heat Spark, 13,000 bits and 10 posts (provided the character is capable of learning electric attacks. See additional information.) This choice is only available if the character has defeated and absorbed an enemy.
2. Learning of the passive Fall-back Instincts, 13,000 bits and 10 posts (provided the passive suits the character's nature, up to user discretion. See additional information.) This choice is only available if the character has defeated and absorbed an enemy.
or
3. 13,000 bits and 30 posts.
Additional Reward Information:
Heat Spark: Creates an arc of electricity to the target, setting them on fire until the flame is extinguished or 3 posts have passed. [1 post cool-down.]
May be renamed to the user's liking. Learnable by Rookies and Champions.
Fall-back Instincts: When health is low enough to threaten survival, this passive will become active to allow the user to increase their durability through regression back their primal instincts. Pain dulls to almost nothing, and the user will become next to feral. Physical attacks become 1.5x stronger, and damage received is halved.
May be renamed to the user's liking. Learnable by Rookies and Champions.
