TAMER INFORMATION
Name | Unica Scarlett
Alias | n/a
Age | 7 years old
Gender | Female
Height | 3 feet, 10 inches
Weight | 50 pounds
Alignment | Lawful good: will obey the law and has pure motives (this is subject to change via on-site character development)
Birth Date | June 30th
Birth Place | South Carolina, USA
Skills / Talents | Being so young, Unica hasn't really had the opportunity to discover herself. She does, however, love to help her mother tend to the flower garden and she loves to help her father cook. She's not particularly good at either, but it's something she enjoys doing. She loves feeling like she's contributing, so as long as someone asks her to do something and shows her how to do it, she'll most likely do as she's told - this makes her an excellent follower, as she's great at following directions and is determined to complete things through to the end. Like many little girls, Unica enjoys singing loud and proud and will do so whenever she's feeling bored or happy. Again, this isn't to say she's very talented at it, it just means that she has a tendency to do it and doesn't really care if she's good at it.
Backpack Contents | Unica doesn't usually carry any supplies on her person since her parents are usually there with their purse or wallets, so she never has to worry about having access to money, mints, or other items. She does, however, carry a backpack to school with her. A first grader may not need very much, but schools tend to ask for children to bring supplies with them to prepare them for future education. Because of this, she can usually be seen with her red backpack which contains a random assortment of school supplies, from pencils and rulers to paper and erasers. Inside her backpack is also a lunchbox which her mother lovingly prepares with an apple, a sandwich, a candy bar, a water bottle, and a napkin.
Digivice | A lavender D-3 Digivice, accessorized with a dango phone charm
Personality | It doesn't take an expert in psychology and behavior to peg Unica down. She's seven. She's in first grade. She comes from a loving family and has had no major traumas occur in her life. Through this, we can understand why she is emotional, ignorant, and a bit clingy. However, to understand her fully, let's take a look at these traits one at a time. First and foremost, Unica is emotional. When she is sad or scared, she will sob and will try to find comfort where she can, and that's usually with friends, family, or some other respectable figurehead. When she is happy, she will smile, laugh, and sing. When she's angry, she will puff out her cheek and glare. Her emotions aren't complicated, they're merely heightened because of her age. Speaking of her age, this means that she has yet to learn what is dangerous or safe. She may find a stray animal and, simply because they look cute, she will approach them with the intention of giving the creature a hug. On the other hand, someone may tell her that the only way to get home safe is to go through a cave, but just because it's dark and scary, she will refuse to go inside. Finally, one must not forget that Unica has rarely been left alone and, as such, she does not like it. She becomes scared and upset when left to herself. As mentioned previously, she will find someone she can trust and will follow their lead, even coming off as clingy to those who have never dealt with a young child before.
Appearance | Unica is seven years old and her appearance reflects this fact. Her small stature of 3 feet, 10 inches and 50 pounds is on par with that of an average female Caucasian at her age. If anything, she's a little thicker than the average seven-year-old, but is not considered overweight. The only way one could tell that she's a bit heavy-set is by her round face and her stocky body. However, children tend to be meatier than their adult counterparts, so this does not guarantee that she will always be a few pounds over what is considered healthy and average. Her height and weight aside, Unica has light blonde hair which verges on being classified as "bleach blonde," but it isn't quite so intense. Her blue eyes are perhaps her most striking trait which seems to pop more because of the blues and whites she has a tendency to wear. Her skin color mirrors her biological parents' as a fair pale shade, common among Caucasian families who would sooner burn in the sun than tan.

Personal History | Once upon a time, there were two young lovers - madly in love as they travelled across the country in their little van, believing that nothing could ruin their fun. They drank alcohol, did drugs, and stayed up late partying. Things were going well until the young girl told her boyfriend that she was pregnant. The boyfriend said it was fine, that he was happy for them, and that they would be a real family. However, the very next day, the pregnant woman woke up at a dump with her head spinning and nothing to her name. Her wallet and phone were missing. Everything was gone, save for the clothes on her back. She knew right away that she had been drugged and left in the trash by her boyfriend. As quickly as things had started between them, it ended. She told herself that she was not allowed to cry - she had to get up and do something. Without even giving herself time to grieve, she left the junkyard.
As she worked on getting her life back on track, she seriously considered getting an abortion, since there was no way she could take care of a child given the current state of her life. However, the longer she considered the option, the harder the decision got, and she eventually gave birth to a young girl who she decided to name Unica, after her grandmother. Unica never heard the stories of her mother's past and how she may have never been born in the first place. She didn't know about her father because her mother thought it was for the best if she didn't. It seemed as though her mother preferred to look toward the future rather than lingering on the past and Unica never asked. Questions such as "where is daddy" and "why don't we have much money" never even entered her mind, so her mother never had to deal with answering them... yet.
Unica and her mother lived in a run-down apartment, living off minimum wage for nearly three years before her mother started seeing a man. He had moved from his hometown in Japan to find "promising work" in America and, sure enough, he found a job in engineering, where he helped make sure that computers and other devices ran as they were supposed to. Unica and her mother both took to him and after a few weeks of dating, he invited them to come live with him in his apartment. It was a better living condition than where they had been living previous, so Unica's mother eagerly accepted the offer. She was cautious, though. She loved the man, but having been betrayed before made her nervous about putting her life in the hands of someone else. She kept a separate bank account, kept a car under her own name, and always had a safe that only she knew the combination to. He didn't seem to mind, for he knew about her past and agreed to move passed it for the sake of Unica.
Unica knew that this new man was not her real father, but that didn't prevent her from calling him her dad. He was the closest thing she had to a father figure and her mother seemed happy whenever she called him "daddy." Whenever her mother was at work and couldn't take care of her, her new father would take time off to look after her. He would watch shows with her, read with her, and would let her help him cook. He was incredibly kind and inclusive. There were some things that he had a tough time with, such as her feeling ill - he would race her to the nearest 24 hour clinic and fret that her cough was something worse than a cold, though it rarely was - and telling her no. He spoiled her and although Unica's mother continuously told him that he shouldn't, for that would make her dependent and weak, he couldn't help himself.
By the time Unica was four, her stepfather had been offered an opportunity to put his experience to the test in Japan, where the locals had been struggling with technical difficulties caused by strange "surges of energy." And just like that, Unica and her parents moved to Shibuya, Japan. It didn't take long after the move for all three of them to notice the strange electrical surges people had been talking about. On occasion, and without warning, the toaster would stop working or the digital clocks would read some unfathomable time. Needless to say, this kept Unica's father busy - for years even. He was employed to help one company after another reenforce their equipment to ensure that they wouldn't act up the next time there was a power surge. His work days grew longer as hospitals and government agencies began asking for his help.
This meant that Unica's mother had to take more time off of work in order to look after her daughter. It was either that or hire a nanny, though she didn't feel comfortable leaving Unica with someone she didn't already know and trust. So, instead, she pulled strings and continued working a minimum wage job as a part-time worker. Her hours were cut so much that she should have just quit, but she was too proud and she couldn't stand sitting at home and not working for a living. The conflict of working hours caused Unica's parents to argue, though they always sorted it out. They had an understanding and they loved each other too much to allow work to get in the way of their relationship. However, that didn't stop Unica from getting upset whenever she saw or heard them bickering. As soon as the waterworks started, they'd both stop whatever they were talking about and race to her side to comfort her. "Mommy and daddy were just talking," they'd tell her. "You were yelling!" Unica would sob, and they'd both hold her close to show that they loved her. Aside from the occasional arguments, things were good.
When Unica turned seven, she began going to school. She used the Shibuya Train Terminal as her main means of transportation and was always accompanied by her mother who didn't feel comfortable leaving her little girl alone in such a big crowd of people. It wasn't the first time Unica had used the train with her mother, but it was the first time she was using it to go to school. This is where her adventure starts.
DIGITAL MONSTER INFORMATION
Digimon Name | Birdie (name given by Unica)
Default Form | Rookie
Gender | Female
Alignment | Chaotic neutral: follows personal desires rather than laws and has flexible morals (this is subject to change via on-site character development)
Skills/Talents | She's a tank. She runs head-first into battle so that she may use a fury of intense attacks in close quarters. Her best trait is perhaps her ability to dodge incoming attacks with her unbelievable speed. While her attacks aren't the strongest, she's able to get in a quick succession of blows before her rival even has a chance to return fire. She loves the thrill of battle and will eagerly pick a fight with anyone who she believes she can defeat, since absorbing their raw data (ie, Digicore) is what she craves.

Personality | Birdie is a fighter. Although she longs to get stronger, she really just enjoys the thrill of adrenaline that courses through her digital body whenever she engages in battle. She doesn't mind having to team up with others for help in defeating a rival, though she does have some major trust issues. She believes it's an eat-or-be-eaten world, so if you manage to team up with her, don't be surprised to find her betraying you for fear that you would attack first. It's hard for her to lower her defenses long enough to realize that there are kind people and Digimon out there. This mindset probably had something to do with the way she was raised - alone and having to fend for herself. Eventually, this ideology turned into a hobby and the rest was history. Be cautious if she asks to engage in a friendly duel, she's probably lying. Even if she agrees to stop when the rival devolves, she tends to continue her attacks until the rival has been reduced to their Digicore form. Instead of leaving the Digicore alone in order to condense into an egg again, she'll consume it. Digicore consumption has long been a way for wild Digimon to evolve without the assistance of a human partner and Birdie is no exception to this. When she can't get her kicks from fighting and absorbing Digicores, she can be found exploring the vast digital world. She doesn't really care about sight-seeing; rather, she has a preference to find different Digimon and put her skills to the test. An ironic thing to take note of is the fact that she's not good at pep talks, which makes things interesting considering she's paired with Unica, a young and emotional child.
