THE QUEST FOR TANELORN: ELECTRIC BOGALOO [MARSHAL] [CAREER]

Nothing like the smell of hot lead in the morning! Undoubtedly, that was the smell of... victory. Not to say that sunrise in Network plains was beautiful to observe! Even if Yuu sincerely hoped those other two would promptly arrive and they could depart to that city high up in the sky.
"Sure you want to return there? I mean, I don't really give a shit but..." Luminas still was Luminas; the fact that their presence was barely tolerated was slightly bothersome, and even if no measure to impede their access or slow down their investigations was implemented yet, that was probably because the pests they were sent to retrieve were prone to create way more ruckus than them.
But that could change as soon as the next visit, Yuu reckoned; still, she was determined to see this through. For justice the juicy reward she'd get after putting this criminal under the bars, that is! ["For somebody who's not givin' a shit, you sound a hell lot concerned, Kyo. Are we gonna rock the skies or are you just gonna nap in here? Because Marshal's coming already, and I'm quite sure he was stoked about this small trip."] Yuu's shit-eating grin could be seen pretty clearly, even despite the fact her face was covered with a pair of sunglasses.
"Oh, shut up already. Wanna go? Alright, we're going."
Another fact of note was that given Luminas' small requirement on... etiquette, she was wearing what could loosely be described as a police uniform, funny hat, badge clearly visible and everything. Guess this made her more... palatable to the angelic beings? Heck if she knew, maybe they just had weird tastes.
What the blonde knew for sure was that she hated the thing; it kinda restricted her movements somewhat, but... not much she could do about it. Money was money. ["Now, where do you think Marshal is? I know I told him to come to this place in like ten minutes, but he kinda should be here already! Well, not really but you know what I mean."]
Kyo sincerely didn't, but she could guess what was happening in her partner's mind. "I jus' think your trigger finger is itchy. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have to wreck some baddies soon enough." To be honest, this was probably the only thing Kyo looked forward on doing in Luminas. Overall... she disliked the city a fair bit.

Marshal had never had a reason to go to the city of Luminas until today. Yuu sent him another messsage asking for some assistance in another criminal hunt! He wasted no time in taking Firamon to the skies, meeting both Yuu and Kyo at the designated spot. He had to admit, something about the place felt...unsettling, as if he wasn't really meant to be there.
"Hey," he said as he approached, just a tiny bit late from the suggested time. "Sorry for the delay. Had to stop for directions at a few different clouds." He chuckled and waited for the briefing.

It was taking him long enough. Where was Marshal? The sooner they were done with this small hunt, the sooner she could get rid of this awful uniform.
"It's still not even the time you told him to show up. Talk about impatience." Yeah, Kyo had figuratively read her thoughts, but that wasn't that hard given her current disposition. But what could Yuu do? She just wasn't made for using formal clothes, and that fact showed pretty readily. "Don't worry. This will be over soon enough; Coronamon and Marshal pack quite a punch, and as long as we don't damage the city, I think we'll be okay."
["Keyword being... not. Why did I accept the job, again? I'm sure I'll have to fill at least two-hundred forms of paperwork if I do so much as littering the city with a candy wrapper. I don't wanna know what'll happen if these guys use the populace as hostages."]
"You did for the money. As if you needed any other reason, anyway. We get to sho at criminal scum and get paid for it. That's good enough, isn't it? Paperwork and bureaucracy aren't that bad, to be honest."
Nope, she just couldn't. An impish smirk immediately took over Kyo's features as she said those words. ["I know you're saying that because you don't have to take care of it! I swear to go, if after this we get to do any paperwork, I'm making you evolve into Sistermon and write along with me."]
The Plotmon looked utterly horrified for a split second, but before she could say anything, Marshal and Firamon made their presence known. ["About time."] Yuu signed rapidly before they approached.
"Sup guys! Hope you're ready for a small trip up to the holy city! This time, we gotta catch a SlashAngemon that goes by the name of "Blade". Guy's supposedly really dangerous, and will try to attack us or the local populace as soon as he realizes were on his track, so be careful about him. He'll probably won't care about the lives of any bystanders. That's the briefing, more or less. Any questions? because otherwise, we're beginning our ascension. The trip up will probably take five to ten minutes, so we have more than enough time to prepare for any eventuality, even if I think we'll be fine."
Worst case scenario wasn't something she was too concerned about, and even if the ruckus caused by the criminal ended up in more work to her... the blonde would enjoy making sure he paid for that dearly.

Yuu seemed on edge as Marshal approached. He didn't think he was late enough to warrant that greeting. "Uh...hey," he said, waving back. He was suddenly nervous for some reason, and it didn't have anything to do with the target they were hunting today. He also had a few questions to ask Yuu, but it seemed that they might have to wait for another time.
Coronamon took in the briefing as Kyo explained it, since Marshal was somewhat distracted. "I'm assuming we get more money by returning him alive," he guessed. Other than that, he didn't seem to have any burning questions. Kyo caught on quick and told him everything he needed to know without having to be constantly questioned.

Well, it seemed that the questions were few and far between. Pretty much how they'd get the biggest reward in regards to their quarry's safety. In all honesty, Kyo liked the way Coronamon thought. "Actually." This was the fun fact about this small quest. "It doesn't matter if we haul a living digimon or an egg on this one. However..."
It couldn't be that good of a deal, right? More often than not, when anything looked like it was too good to be truth, it wasn't. Their employers had to try and take care of their pockets, after all. "We need to keep the civilian casualties and the structural damage the city sustains at the minimum. Any damage the place or its populace sustains while we're on this small hunt will be deducted from our reward. Which means the reward will get won't be as hefty as it seems, but that's okay. As long as I get to shot that criminal scum to bits, bein' paid, reward ain't that important."
The dog shrugged as Yuu stared at her. The blonde was just too easy to aggravate today; better to seize the opportunity, right? ["Just don't mind the natives; they tend to get all worked up when they see a virus type and stuff, so there's that. Let's go."]
Drawing her digivice, Yuu began to channel the energy that'd fuel her the evolution that was about to happen, resulting in BeelStarrmon appearing from the rift created.
Without further words, the demoness jumped upwards and began to race directly to the holy city. A smile began to trace in her face; it was time for some action!

Marshal and Coronamon both looked a little worried. They weren't exactly super adept at keeping structural damage low, but civilians would be safe from their flames as long as they were friendly. Now that the mission was ready to take place, Yuu and Kyo Biomerged and headed off into the clouds. Marshal and Coronamon answered in kind by fist bumping. "Coronamon Biomerge to...Apollomon!"
Wasting no time in catching up, Apollomon shot straight out of the light of Digivolving and into the city of Luminas, ready for a manhunt.

Traversing all the way towards the holy city was a quick, yet somewhat harrowing journey. The accusing gazes of angels as she approached were evident, and if they could kill, she'd probably be dead on the spot. Still, she wasn't in this place to make friends.
She was here to catch a criminal and reap the rewards. The rest didn't matter at all. I can feel you're a bit unfocused. Is everything alright, Yuu?
I... guess. Maybe it's just the fact that I don't like this place. Let's just get this done with quickly so we can go back. I don't know why, but this is making me uneasy.
Well, one thing was for sure. Yuu wasn't usually like this, and the fact that she even got to talk about this meant that something somewhere was super wrong. No time for think about that, though, given that they had finished their ascent and now were treading through lumina's main entrance.
And what BeelStarrmon found, it made her shiver. Chaos everywhere, and different angelic and not-so angelic digimon running through the street in what was obviously panic, escaping from... something.
Was this their quarry? If it was, he'd regret doing this. "Apollomon!" The demoness boomed, making sure the digimon could hear her. "We're closin' this area down! Let's track that SOB."

Apollomon wasn't sure what Luminas normally looked like day to day, but he guessed that it didn't involve panic in the streets. BeelStarrmon immediately bellowed out the order to close down the area and track the target, to which Apollomon answered with an equally-booming, "Yes, ma'am!" He wasn't exactly sure what he should be doing, so he followed behind and awaited further orders. Maybe between these missions, he could learn a thing or two about this from Yuu.

Closing a section of a city was probably too much of a figurative term. For Yuu, it involved mostly to establish a perimeter in order to have an easier time tracking the criminal down. In this case, the order would be somewhat obvious, and since Apollomon was expecting them, she just went ahead. "Try to find the point where the digimons are running from! I'll look for the cause. Maybe the suspect's on one of those points. If not, we're getting back to the city's center!"
If Apollomon followed her words, they'd end up going to pretty much exact opposite directions; Yuu's path would eventually conduct her to a small house, while Marshal's would end up in a small park. Apollomon wouldn't find anything of note at first, at least if you didn't have in account the widespread panic.
But, suddenly... a blade was thrust in his direction at a pretty decent speed. I could threat to do a fair amount of damage if the digimon didn't react to it accordingly. Yuu, on the other hand, found a burning house by the end of her trail. It seemed like... some kind of hotel? Welp, there went her paycheck; she had to help anyone that might've gotten stuck inside, but once she did, she would make sure that whoever was behind this would pay.
