Did something happened? That question again? Ah, right, he dropped it, he dropped Gryz' hat. He picked it up and put it on, the same way his Bearmon friend would. "...Well... Let's just say... I lost my partner. It happened... apparently almost two weeks ago in Digital World time. I was in hospital and the doctor trying to stitch my wound and all, but I just can't stay in bed for another two..."
He noticed that he seem to missed the chance to say the basic explanation. "...Gryz and me... we're partners... he's a really kind Bearmon that almost as tall as me. We met when he's just a Popomon, and we're helped by a kind Bearmon named Brad. From there we bonded closely. We gone through several problems, like nearly gotten killed by a Tsukaimon, getting him evolve to Gryzmon, Jogress to Blizzarmon, bringing him home in Gryzmon form above a Trailmon, sneaking him to my house still in that form... and even gone to a mission to save a portion of Digital World from corruption."
Tetsu's expression become more and more pained, but he tried to press on.
"...But the last one was my mistake. I thought... I thought we're strong enough. I wanted to help, but... I never really took in consideration that there might be some form of repercussion. Gryz... was prophesied to be a Demon Lord-class Digimon. He's prophesied to be a Belphemon. Elecmon in the Village of Beginning waves it off as a bullshit and told Gryz that even if he's a Belphemon, then surely he'll be the goofiest Belphemon ever. Gryz agreed and ignored it, but... when we attempted to save the western Digital World from corruption... Gryz... Gryz starting to get corrupted. At first it's just a little feral urges that he can control, but as time goes on, it gets worse and worse until one day... we... gone on an adventure with another duo, our jogress partners. Gryz in his jogressed form starting to fight a losing battle until we somehow got our crests. Then we evolve our partners to their next stage. At first Gryz evolved to Grap Leomon... and I thought that the prophecy was a lie---but then he start looking so pained, so hurt. The evolution failed and he... berserked. We did win the battle, but Gryz become way too unstable and..."
He left it trailing...from this point, it's probably obvious that the bear has harmed his own human. Unconsciously, tears began to stream down the boy's cheek.
"...It's all my fault... If I haven't brought Gryz to that mission, he'll probably... he'll probably...!!"
The bear, perhaps unable to hold his shock that he hurt his partner, either eliminated himself, or he escaped. The latter more likely with the cap still there... He must have been really desperate, and perhaps this place is the last one in his mind on where to look for his partner.

Tadao recognized those problems very well. "My story's kind of similar, I never really had that experience either with other people" he admitted. "I... never really know what to say, and my parents pretty much made me do four hours of homework every night". He looked a bit unhappy at this. "I got the high marks, yeah, but not the friends".
Tadao was surprised he'd see it as an opportunity, then realized what he was talking about. "Maybe that's right, I've really enjoyed life here with Logan and the other digimon" he said, glad to see Logan and Owen consoling Tetsu. Then he looked back at Toki. "Well, you never know, I mean, you just got here, right?" he asked. "Maybe you have a partner out there somewhere? It won't be long before you find them in any case". He hoped that what he was saying was true. And Tadao didn't yet know about spirits so he was unaware of that possibility.
Owen and Logan meanwhile sat down and listened to Tetsu. By now Owen had recovered from his accidental fall from the tree and was able to listen curiously.
"Oh no! Did the Tsukaimon hurt you?" Logan asked, horrified. Then the rest of the story was told.
"Is... Gryz still alive?" Owen asked, thinking this was an important fact. "If he is... or even if he isn't, he's your partner. Somehow... I think if you truly love him, and he truly loves you, there may be a way for him to go back to normal".
"Yeah, daddy's right" Logan said, cheerfully. "Who knows... you say you bonded with another Bearmon called Brad. Maybe... Gryz is with him? Or with another one of your friends?"
Owen glanced at his son, realizing he was probably on to something. Perhaps Gryz was too shocked at his corruption and wanted to make it right without Tetsu getting hurt in the process?

Toki was glad for the supportive words and even more so that he found someone who actually sympathizes with him. If the Digital World has really done so much good for him, then it gave him hope that he'll be able to experience the same kind of personal growth. "Yeah, you're right. I just have to wait for the right moment and I'll eventually meet them..." he smiled, excited for the possibilities. "Are there any places you'd recommend I go first or...places I should avoid? I think that's going to be important for me to know." he said, worried about stumbling upon the wrong places on his travels.
He continued to listen in on what he could regarding Tetsu's situation. A lot of it was stuff he didn't quite understand yet, but it didn't make it any less worrying for him, though seeing Owen and Logan doing their best to comfort him was heartwarming to see. "It seems like there's a fair share of problems here. I want to try my hand at helping the people and Digimon here, but I know I can't do that by myself."

Tetsu slowly wipes away his tears. "...S-sorry for that... m-maybe you guys would be happier to know that... It's only... a day passed in real... world... when seven passed here... You... guys... could... find friends here.." he squeezed out between sobs.
Is Gryz still alive? He took out his Digivice, and it's indeed still active, a sign that his partner is alive. But perhaps it's concerning to see the screen looks like it's covered by unholy particles. The light on the center of the screen is keeping it at bay, but... it might be actually mirroring the image of what happened to his partner at the moment.
"...Brad? Gryz... with Brad? Maybe it's the easier way to get to Gryz... to find Brad first, but... but where IS Brad then...?" he wondered. "...I don't even know his address... and... and there are only select few Digimons who we know..."
He tries to think again. It's impossible for Gryz to be with that Tsukaimon. With that old geezer the Spirit user? No, he don't feel so. And then... Coolmon, Luke, Bellamy and Colin?
".............Other might be Luke, Bellamy and Colin," he said finally. "They're strong... Gryz... might want them to stop him when something is up... maybe..."
Yes, he felt like they are strong. If something is wrong, then probably...

Glad to see that Toki was feeling a little better, Tadao then mulled over his next question - where should he go next?
"It should be fairly easy to make your way around the digital world" Tadao began. "There's an extensive network of Trailmons that go around the digital world - they're like living trains. They can even take you back to Earth if you want".
And from there, Tadao continued further. "The place you might want to go first is Terminus City. That's at the middle of this part of the digital world, and is the way to get back to Earth if you need to. The Trailmons are generally fairly cooperative, but they are living digimon so don't get too annoyed with them if you can help it" he chuckled.
Places to avoid? "I wouldn't head West or North just yet if I were you, they're desert and snowfield regions respectively, so you'd want to go prepared. Other than that, here in the East is generally okay as long as you don't go too deep in the forest. And if your partner isn't here in the village of beginnings, well, I suppose you could check the South? The city of Whitewater is generally pretty good for a tropical city".
Toki wanted to help the world, and Tadao found that admirable. "That's great, but unfortunately there's not much you can do without a partner... or spirit" he added as an afterthought. Some humans had spirit totems instead of partners after all.
Logan meanwhile was patting Tetsu's back with a sympathetic expression. The Offmon knew that it was best to simply let the tears out. He should be better soon.
Then it seemed likely that Gryz might be with Brad. But where were they? Logan looked a bit worried, he had never met this Brad.
"Have you met Brad, Daddy?" he asked Owen.
"Actually... yeah, I have" Owen admitted. "It wasn't far away from here in fact. It was an inn in the Timberlands, the innkeeper was a Renamon, and we were pretty much pinned down because of rain, so, we talked for a while with a Veemon and Guilmon and we got along".
"Did you get his contact details?" Logan asked, eager to help Tetsu.
"I might..." Owen admitted, pulling an equivalent to the D-Terminal out of his shirt pocket. Even if he was a solo digimon and lacked a digivice, he found it useful for communicating with human friends and other digimon that had it. "Ah! Yes, he's there. I'll send him a message right away!"
Owen would then send a message to Brad, asking him how he was, and if he might be with another Bearmon right now called Gryz. The Gaomon sent the message and awaited the reply.
Then Tetsu suggested Colin and the twins. "Now them I know as well" Owen said, chuckling. Bellamy had called him 'doggy-boy' and when Owen pointed out he was a digimon, not a dog, Bellamy proceeded to prove he loved everything that dogs loved and resigned to take it as a compliment. He sent them a message as well.
"Wow you're connected pretty well, dad" Logan remarked.
"Well, it happens, kiddo" Owen grinned. He then waited for the reply, hoping that one of them might currently have Gryz in their company.

It was a relief to hear that getting around wouldn't be that much of a problem though the idea of living trains was...a little strange. Very interesting though. The fact that it was possible for him to head back to Earth so easily lifted a bit of a weight off of his shoulders "Good thing it's that easy to get back...I was worried for a while there." he chuckled nervously.
"Terminus City, huh?" he thought about it for a moment "I'm a bit nervous going to a place like that without knowing much of anything about this world. I'll feel like an awkward tourist...which I guess in a way, I am. I should probably go there anyway just to get used to it..." he really wanted to see a lot of new Digimon, but he was a little embarrassed to admit that part of it.
He nodded when he began to talk about the desert and the snowfield "Yeah...I'm not ready to go exploring places like that. I don't even know the first thing about preparing for a desert or snowy places. The forest sounds peaceful though...don't want to get lost though." he seemed like the kind of person who overthinks a lot, though in a way that seemed practical at least. "A tropical city? There are lots of places in this world..."
He was a little discouraged when he heard there was not much he could do without a partner or...spirit? "Spirits? You haven't mentioned those yet." he seemed curious about what other ways humans and Digimon can interact. "In any case, I'll make it a priority to meet up with whatever I have to so I can start helping out around here." despite his nerves, he was certainly ready to do what he could.
It looked like progress was being made in regards to the search for Tetsu's friend. He called out "My offer stands! I may not be of much help now, but I will at least accompany anyone who goes out to search."
He smiled softly "At least that's getting settled...hopefully they'll get a lead soon." he sat back and wanted to ask Tadao another question "What has it been like for you? I mean...exploring the Digital World and spending time with the Digimon, specifically yours. You must have some stories to tell." he hoped he wasn't overstepping his boundaries.
