Peace and quiet. That was something Amelie hadn't had access to for a long time. Well, relatively speaking; how much time had it been? Less than one day, actually?
Time in the Digital World was so weird. Then again, she had already been told that. For now, the only thing she just wanted to do was to relax a bit... and maybe do some of the work she had pending. Might as well get a breather and something warm to drink in the coffee shop in front of her, right?
Pity she wasn't a coffee person, right now, anything would do. Walking into a small building, she began to see the items being sold as the line to order advanced. At least until it was finally her turn.
"Good afternoon. I'll have a latte. With a lot of milk, please. And, uh... a croissant. Thanks."
With any luck, her stuff would be ready soon. Even if she wasn't in a hurry, she was more or less tired of standing up at this point. Was that petty? Well... maybe.

Off to the digital world!! Well at least that what Takeshi and the twins thought. The newly digivolved twins decided to go back to in-training form, its easier for Takeshi to carry them around that way "woohoo lets go guys" ken excitedly yelled as he hopped his tiny self into takeshi's bag.
"I would tell you to stop yelling, but I am excited too what with this new form of ours"
Takeshi gave the two new digimon a gentle smile as his phone rang. It was his dad who informed him that a co worker is sick and they need Takeshi to work today, even though it was his day off Takeshi shrugged it off and decided to help. The twins were disappointed at first but family is family.
Takeshi put his twins on his bag where they promptly fell asleep. As he arrived he put the twins inside an employees only room and wore a green apron over his casual clothing which consisted of a white plain long sleeved shirt unbuttoned of course, and a black T shirt underneath and finally a normal pair of jeans.
Takeshi worked the cash register when a young lady reached the front of line and ordered croissant and latte.
"Coming right up madam and thank you for choosing our humble abode, I guarantee that you will be satisfied"
A female worker took over the cash register as Takeshi went to the kitchen to prepare the young lady's order.

At least the person at the counter had been nice enough, prompting a nod and a smile from Amelie as soon as her order was taken. He seemed to be around her age, more or less? That made her feel somewhat awkward, in all honesty.
To be honest, the girl had never worked in her life. Did that mean her life had been sheltered thus far? The brunette didn't know. And probably right now wasn't the best time to care about it. Guess... that was just how life was? Better if she just didn't think about it.
Mostly because just as easily as fate gave, it could take away.
She stared at the menu for a some more as she moved to the side, waiting for her order to be ready. They had a good variety, honestly; thinking a bit harder about it, maybe she could have ordered something else.
Eh, too late now. Better if she just focused on the work that was ahead of her. The place's atmosphere seemed to be tranquil enough, and that was undoubtedly a boon of sorts. Just a little more for her stuff to be ready, and for her to finally begin with her things.

Takeshi gave a quick smile to the customer before going to the kitchen. As he entered a fellow worker smiled at him and talk began at the kitchen even though he is young Takeshi can make coffee to die for. He downplays himself alot, but everyone knows that he is super talented at it.
" prepare one croissant please" Takeshi yelled out to the back, the baker nodded and went to prepare the croissant. Takeshi went to the coffee maker to brew the coffee, seeing Takeshi make coffee is like seeing a magic its captivating and on top of all he looks really contempt with himself and happy. Making coffee is one of takeshi's secret loves that and drawing, he just does not realize it. He took a cola flavoured lollipop and put his mouth, takeshi was really in a good mood.
"Is the croissant ready" The baker nodded as he put the croissant on a white plate in the silver tray near the Red mug of coffee.
"Well all set" Takeshi said humming, you know its rare to see Takeshi looking this happy.
Takeshi left the kitchen to see the customer standing near the counter. Takeshi looked really puzzled and confused, she looked like a new customer after all so he decided to help her. "Excuse madam I see that you did not pick a table, very well then let me show a perfect spot just for you." With a tray in his right hand takeshi walked up to the table in the right corner, its the most calm place in the whole shop and besides it a window with an amazing view.

Place was... peaceful. Not really surprisingly so, but for somebody that had needed rather desperately some peace and quiet, it felt nice. So much, in fact, that Amelie had found herself staring at the menu for a little too long.
She hadn't even noticed when the teenager who had taken her order came back, just to tell her... to seat her? Huh, she had totally expected this place to be like some kind of Starbucks where you had to wait for your order before finding a place.
Welp, at least that was neat. And she wasn't one to refuse help; cheeks slightly tinged in pink due to embarrassment, she smiled briefly. "Oh, okay. That'd be lovely."
The brunette had to admit that the guy had a pretty amazing taste; the corner he had chosen seemed to be peaceful enough, and the view outside was very pretty. "Thank you." She added with another smile as she sat. The very least she would do was to leave a decent tip before leaving.
Once in her place, she brought out a notebook from her backpack and a pencil case; Amy had lost enough time as that was, and now it was time to make up.
Giving her meal a bite or a drink every now and then, she began to work. Funny as it was, she never thought she would struggle as much as she did with seemingly simple things like... technical lettering or perspectives. But she wouldn't let those things bring her down so easily.
A good deal of progress was made! Maybe those things were kinda easy, after all. She just had to take care of one last exercise and that would be it.
Unbeknown to her, however. The sun had set long ago, and pretty much every other table was vacant; time had literally flown on Amelie's face without her even noticing.

Takeshi smiled and nodded as the young brunette thanked "My pleasure" Takeshi said with a gentle smile. He then put her orders in the table in front of her "bon appetite" Takeshi added before leaving to the kitchen. He then found a note on the wall that said reconstruction in 2 weeks, he had remembered that this place will be turned to a full on restaurant he should learn to cook well he probably going to that on a later date. An order here and there, Takeshi joyfully worked at this place and his peers loved him maybe this was his calling in life but he still promised Ryu and Ken to travel the digital world with them and he is a man of his promises. The sun had set a long time ago, but he was so into his work that he did not notice it at first.
Time went by so fast that he forgot to check on the twins who were on his bag. He quickly went to the employees only room to check on the bag, he looked around and it was only him there so he decided he decided to open the bag. You see the bag was opened a little bit for air, he wasn't a monster.
"Yo Takeshi were have you been" Ken said smiling as he was hoping out of the bag, but before he could leave Ryu caught his leg and pulled him down.
"Idiot there people might come any minute now, hey Takeshi how has helping out your dad turned out to be"
"It was great, listen guys sorry for doing this but-" Takeshi stopped talking to look at his watch "now this place is closing so we can leave now"
"Yahoo!!" Ken excitedly yelled as he raised both of his tiny hands, Before Ryu gave him a disappointed look.
"Ok then lets go guys" Takeshi zipped up the bag leaving a little place open for air, he then removed his apron and wore bag on his right shoulder. As he was to about to leave the place he saw the customer from earlier still sitting there, I mean their place is good but damn she stayed for a long time he decided to walk up to her. " Hello there, nice to know you enjoyed yourself " Takeshi smiled as he thought of ways to tell her the place is closing while avoiding awkwardness. "Hey um, it got pretty late and this place is closing" he felt kinda weird like he kicked her out but it needed to happen, the other employees are busy cleaning this place.
Takeshi did not like the way he felt so he decided in order to make up for it he decided to offer walking her home "hey its pretty dark out, so I can walk with you home if you want that is. " Takeshi said rubbing the back of his head.

How quickly had time passed? In all honesty, Amelie didn't know. She had been so focused on that A3 sheet that the fact that was already dark outside eluded her. Well, at least until the same teenager that had guided her to this table reminded her of that fact.
Well, or at least tried to. First off, the brunette looked at him confused before gazing through the window and realizing that he was right. "Huh." An awkward smile ensued; in all honesty, the teenager never believed she'd end up in a situation like this. Lest to say, her evening had been comfortable enough and the offering she had gotten sounded... interesting! "Guess time flies when you gotta work. Sorry about that. I'll begin packing asap."
An apologetic expression took over her features as she began to put their stuff back into her backpack and drawing tube she had brought. Intentionally not answering the offering that had come in her way, and as soon as she was done with her things, Amy smiled once again, gazing directly at her newest acquaintance as she stood up. Color her surprised; they were around the same height. "Sure thing! If you're up to it, I wouldn't mind."
Talking with somebody on her way back was probably among the best outcomes this evening could have, and she wasn't going to let the opportunity pass. "Ready when you are."

Takeshi then chuckled at the young lady who seemed apologetic about staying so late. "No worries things like that happen, I could've swore that there is at least 3 hours for the sun goes down" he mockingly said trying to lighten the mood. She then stood up to collect her things, and much to takeshi's suprise she was his height that really took him by suprise.
Anyways as she was collecting her things, somethings the drawing tube but he decided to not talk about it at least for now, she looked at him and told him that she was ready"alright lets go."
Meanwhile inside his bag. The twin digimon who were in the bag had an argument.
"You know this a waste of time, why should he walk with her" Ken whispered sighing at takeshi's decision.
"No, you are wrong. This what a gentleman should do, I am proud of Takeshi and you should too" Ryu also whispered so no one will hear them.
"Listen I am not saying I am not proud, cause I am. What I am saying is this pointless, unless someone is not in immediate danger we should stop what we are doing." Ken said trying to prove his point.
Ryu and Ken decided to end the argument there, they decided to eat all the candy Takeshi had in his bag.
Takeshi then walked slightly ahead of the girl, and opened the door for her "after you" takeshi said as he gestured for her to go ahead.

Giving one last, brief smile, the brunette decided to lead the way. She exited the building, waiting for her unlikely companion as she did so. As they walked by, the brunette noticed that... she had missed something that was more or less essential in people relationships.
"Oh right!" She quickly added. "Name's Amelie, by the way." As simple as that was, missing it up to that point had been weird. "Pleased to meet you!"
The zone by night was somewhat... pretty, by city standards. Well, at least in comparison to places like Greater Shibuya; then again... that wasn't that hard to accomplish.
Casting out her own absent-minded remarks about their surroundings, she decided to focus on her companion. "So... how long since you work in that coffee shop? It's quite new, isn't it? I don't remember seeing it the last time I went in that direction, but I kinda tend to be forgetful so..."
Better for filling the silence, and it wasn't like those weren't valid questions.

As they walked by the street, with nothing to say Takeshi noticed the beauty of the place. Takeshi, felt a little awkward at first up until she said her name. Which he reminds him that he did not say his name, what was he thinking. "Nice meeting you Amelie, my name is Takeshi and the pleasure is all mine" hoo boy was Takeshi was embraced by that all this time and he did not to think he mention his name.
Takeshi continued to walk alongside Amelie, thinking of something to say in order to open a conversation. As he did not find anything to say he just stared at the lovely view, his mind wandered about many things but the digital world was a prominent thought.
Takeshi then snapped back as Amelie asked a couple of questions. "I actually since it opened, I am the son of the manager. So I decide to help my dad part time, my main occupation is being a business student. And yeah its new, opened a few weeks ago right after we moved here. "
Takeshi then decide to reach into his bag and take a lollipop, Ryu and ken all hoped on sugar decided that it will be funny to bite Takeshi's finger. Which they did "ouch" Takeshi muttered quickly to himself, he tried to quickly change the subject. "Whats your occupation ?" He asked as holds his bit finger.

So, Takeshi it was! A Japanese sounding name for a Japanese looking person; no surprises over there. He seemed to be pleasant enough, and that was nice. It'd have been hella awkward if he happened to be... a strange person.
But that wasn't an issue, so there was no point in thinking about it. So, instead, Amy focused on the current conversation. "The manager's son, huh? That's interesting! How does it feel, working with your family? Must be pretty fun!" Well, in all honesty, she didn't know and if his parents were anything like hers, she couldn't imagine him having that good of a time, but at least you could rely on your bosses if you really had to. Had to amount to something, right?
Another question went right away in her direction, and that made her feel slightly embarrassed; mostly due to the fact that... she didn't have a job. "Well, uh... I'm a student. Currently on my first year in college, and also... my first year living in here, in Japan."
While making that explanation, she noticed that Takeshi had put his hand on his bag and that he got... injured by that? Talk about strange, not to say that he also seemed to be visibly... bothered by it? "Are you okay? Did you get injured or something?"
Maybe he stored sharp things in his bag? Or maybe an insect or something had gotten in and had bitten him or something. No way for her to know.

You know when he thought about it Amelie looked like a foreigner, but Takeshi decided to not talk about it. Well at least she seems nice, so that's good. Well he should focus on the current conversation.
"Yeah actually, its pretty nice. My dad is not as strict as he looks, and my relationship with the rest of the staff is pretty good. " it might be subtle, but you can see that he is really happy to talk about work. Something about working there makes him feel proud of himself. Well he did not want to babble on and on, so he decided to stop talking about work.
She mentioned that she is a college, which seemed about right. Takeshi estimated that she is about that age, give or take. What interested him however, was the fact that this is her first in Japan. Well she did look like a foreigner and her name gave it away.
"Ah, so you are not from around here ? Where did you come from then? " Takeshi hoped he was not rude, as he could not help himself from being curious.
She then asked him about his finger, which he then immediately put down. He tried to steer things away and said "yeah its okay, its nothing really" well, key thing here is that he tried.

Having a good job was as good as it got! Amelie couldn't but give a slight smile to Takeshi before watching in the distance; working on the family business was a possibility she had never contemplated, and one that she wasn't all that keen on even thinking about, but that was mostly because she thought what her parents did was boring. Being in line with that must've been interesting. "I'm glad."
There wasn't much else she could add, mostly because she had no idea about the inner workings of a coffee shop, but as long as she was happy with that, who was she to complain. Topics changed; the truth was that she didn't mind talking about her life in the slightest. "Well, I was born in France, and that was where I spent the most of my compared to anywhere else... but I can't really call the country my home? I don't even have many memories of my home city, honestly. See, my family never bothered to stay in a single place for long, so... I had to move with them! The good side is that I got to me many interesting countries."
If he said the finger was okay, then it was okay. They'd arrive at her apartment soon enough anyway. "Say, want a cup of tea when we arrive? I guess it's the least I can do." Basic courtesy prevailed in the end, she guessed.

Takeshi's finger hurt him,but he made sure she did not notice. Can't have her find about digimon, then she might get involved in some weird stuff. As they walked Takeshi thought about what made Ryu bite him, Ken was understandable but Ryu was acting weird. He then remembered the large amount of candy in his bag, if someone eats all of it they will have a huge sugar rush so that what probably happened. Well he hoped by now they crashed, that way things can go smoother.
"Hehe thanks" Takeshi nodded as she said that she was glad, so far engaging in a conversation with Amelie proofed to be a good decision overall she is kinda nice. She then said that she was from france, but apparently her family did not stay in one place long enough to call that home. Traveling while sounding can suck, Takeshi much preferred staying in one place instead well at least settle. "Huh, france that sounds lovely. I would to love to one day vacation there, I want to see the Eiffel tower myself " Takeshi then chuckled a bit as he rubbed the back of his neck.
She then offered him a cup of tea at her place, they seemed to be getting closer. Takeshi was taken by suprise at first, things played out differently than he imagined. At first he really just wanted to talk to more people in his age group, but maybe this is for the better. "Yeah sure that would be lovely" Takeshi gave a nod and a gentle smile. To be honest he was a coffee man, but he could not turn down the offer and he did not mid tea that much so what can possibly go wrong

France was a really pretty country, for sure! While Amelie hadn't stayed there for as long as any native, at least she could admit she knew one or two things about the country. Eiffel Tower, of course, was among them. "It's really pretty! I definitely think that's a place everyone should visit sooner or later. Especially at night, on holidays or when people are celebrating something! Then it becomes even prettier."
She went on that tangent really hard, didn't she? Maybe that was meant just as an offhanded comment and she had spoken too much. Honestly? Better to not care about it; what mattered at this moment was that she had accepted her offer! The brunette had honestly believed at first that she'd be turned down politely but... this guess she now had to play hostess. Not that she minded it.
Amelie's home was a tall apartment building located by one of the borders of Society Hill. As soon as they arrived, she gazed upwards for a second, almost as if making sure she was in the right place; once she did, she brought out a pair of keys and opened the door, letting both inside.
From there, it'd be rather easy; riding the elevator towards the third floor and opening yet another pair of doors, revealing a somewhat plain, yet cozy apartment. "Well, we're here." Right afterward, she pointed at the coffee table and the couches that surrounded it. "Wanna take a seat, I'll go make the tea."
Oh right! Before heading to the kitchen, she forgot to ask the vital question about it. "By the way, any variety you enjoy? I think I can pride myself on having a decent variety."
