Well, this wasn't what Genesis expected. But she'd take it. As she crawled through the vent, Genesis would call back to her partner;
"Pops... we got a problem"
"The vents are too steep."
"The vents are too ste- Yeah... What's the play?"
Viktor sighed, in the back of his head he knew it would be like this, as most large compounds had vents that were like this. Without the use of a tool to climb up the vent, they'd spend the next hour or so trying to climb upwards.
"What do you see on the outside?"
"Looks like... a breaker room. A water treatment room. And a hallway."
Viktor rolled his neck. Now they were cooking with fire. A breaker room could redirect eyes and let the other team do their thing. Viktor pulled his cell-phone charger from the pocket on the flank of his pants and used his knife to cut the ends, he then pulled one part of the wire out and called Genesis back.
"Take this, wrap it around the the breaker to the service elevator. Our friends seem to be nervous about moving."
Genesis took the cord and nodded. She had seen him do this before, the wire would basically take the electricity and send it right back into the breaker, which would cause one of two things:
A blown fuse.
Or a really bad electrical fire.
Either way, Genesis went back to the breaker room, checked for any signs of movement and sighed as she opened the breaker box. Viktor came over;
"Let's hope they copies human circuit breakers. They've copied a lot of other stuff this far. Wrap the cord around two wires that aren't on the same side."
Genesis sighed, luckily, it was as he explained. She wrapped the cord around one wire, then fed it along to the other wide. When the elevator would be in use, it would bypass the breaker and blow the fuse. This should keep the elevator down for sometime. It was effective to move down, but getting back up was going to be a problem.
Viktor moved to the group, and leaned next to the striped cat;
"Call the elevator."
He didn't bother to explain that as soon as they'd call it, the whole elevator system would shut off. Then they'd see how good the wiring was within the prison. Viktor looked to Mikemon, then to John;
"Stay further back. You're going to bunch up at the door and cause problems."
Viktor didn't bother to wait for a reply as he'd 'vanish' to those around him. Moving back to his spot and waiting to see what the elevator would do upon his circuit breaker bypass.
He called to his partner:
"Keep probing the vents and Maintaince shafts. Find us a way in."
Genesis spoke as she climbed back through the grate; "You got it."
Viktor sighed as he only watched, the planning of the mission seemed... a little less than perfect. He had definitely seen worse, but at least now they'd be able to use the elevator without the issue of someone else using it. Plus, this would limit response teams to the stairs, giving them more time to escape if things went south. The more Viktor thought on it, the less it felt like this was going to be hugely successful mission.
Only time would tell now.

True, this mission was already quite the tight balancing act. Even with Mikemon's apparent ability to sense through walls and the varied skillsets provided by the team, it was hard for most of them to figure out their way past what seemed to be a near insurmountable barrier. It was easy to say that 'all they had to do' was get past this first block, but just how would they do that? John was already questioning his own usefulness, but in reality, there wasn't much progress that any of the group in the garage had made yet.
Still, he was quick to answer the human's concern: "I wouldn't have let you on if there wasn't something you could provide. The outright muscle your partner will provide will come in handy, especially when we get to the temple. For now?" Mikemon nodded to the Agumon: "I need him to be ready to check corners. If he spots something, he can 'heighten' his data signal without actually digivolving, allowing us to use your Digivice as a warning device."
That much was fine, but as far as the elevator was concerned? Well, all he could do was wait for K to-
Wait. Call the elevator? Taking a glance at Viktor just as he stepped back, the cat gave a sigh. "K, get that open. Viktor wouldn't be saying that, unless..."
Tentatively, he pressed the down button. Briefly, an elevator display lit up above the door, before three loud electrical 'pops' filled the elevator shaft. Catching its emergency breaks, the elevator wedged itself in place in its current position, and even the lights above started to flicker. At once, Mikemon felt data signals around the base start to scramble around - obviously, the guard was in disarray!
"Alright, John, Agumon, you two up first. K, after me." He motioned for the cable, intentionally leaving the human and the one with the claws up top, so those below could help the more unstable climbers. After all, they were going to have to take this as far up as they could...
Viktor's Group
As with the lack of cameras, the copies of human technology seemed to go a good twenty or thirty years in the past - case in point, the attack on the electrical system was perhaps a bit too effective. Well-lit hallways before were now guided with emergency lights, guards switching on flashlights in the halls as they made their approach to the breaker room.
Fortunately, this also meant that ventilation was shot: previously blocked vents by fan were now accessible, allowing Genesis access to the central air line. Unlike the emergency areas of ventilation, this provided a 'foothold' around every floor, more than enough for Genesis to try and slip up the five stories that she'd need to make. In fact, this would lead out past a metal box exposed to the roof of the building after the above-ground second floor: if she wanted, she could poke her head outside, and see inside the prison grounds. As Mikemon had expected, the central courtyard didn't have as many posted guards, but it presented its own problem: a wide-open field with easy sight-lines for the guards at all angles. Near the center, though, was the very stone temple that Mikemon had mentioned...
... Though this path would only remain open for as long as the electrical was out. If she dwindled about too long, Genesis would find herself unable to retreat to the entrance!
Floor - B2
Thanks to Viktor's intervention, it was simply impossible for the elevator to move from its position at "B1", though at this point, there was hardly a need. The guards were most concentrated around the entrance and exit to the facility, and thanks to the power outage, even supplemental forces were dispatched to the lower floors, along with the maintenance crew. This was why, after a brief check at the top of the cables, Mikemon quickly wrenched that door open, stepping carefully to the center of the hall.
"Follow the emergency lights," Mikemon whispered. "It should be... right there, yes." The sign was in digital script, but there was a blinking red sign for a fire exit - and right now, the alarm wouldn't be tripped if they tried to use it! Taking this motion, the feline would lead the way...
... Right past several closed rooms, each with a faint purple light behind them. Should they chance a glance through, they'd see an opaque crystal, suspended above a pedestal, the magical constructs running without magic. The doors were further reinforced and bolted, making it difficult to get further details from the dark room, but it was clear that this prison didn't deal well with intruders.
Outside - Fringe
Atop the stairwell of the fire exit, the group would once more find themselves in a bind. From the ground level, they'd see that the exit poured out into the dark shadow cast by the wall, and the courtyard that Mikemon had mentioned before was right before them. He could only figure that the only ancient-looking building on the grounds was the target, but... just how would they get there? Would they just blitz for it? He racked his mind - and glancing up, motioned for everyone to take shelter inside the stairwell for a moment.
Just a moment later, a red grid would appear on the ground, projected from the metallic Digimon scanning from above. A moment later, it would move over to the next, just... scanning the area, sector by sector. And with towers at every edge of the island...
"... Shit." Mikemon swore, under his breath. There wasn't a further path they could take underground - just how would they get there? His eyes flashed over to other blocks, seeing some kind of vehicle or another parked outside a few - ugh, no, that wouldn't work! "Anyone got an idea?"
Log: Current time left: 2:39:02 Setting: Courtyard. Large, flat grassy fields stand before the group; cover is available in the air vent and stairwell, respectively. A Waspmon floats above as a direct spotter; towers stand at 12 points surrounding the courtyard. The temple is visible near the center of the grounds, slightly off to the right.

With john seeming unsure what to do in the current place of things, K was somewhat relieved when the other asked mikemon rather than herself what he could do to help. She doubted she had a good answer for him at the immediate moment.
Viktor and Genisis seemed to be doing their own thing; which was absolutely fine. She figured they had a few ideas if not a plan of their own that would only make this whole bit much more interesting as well as hopefully easier.
It didn't take her very much to actually get the door open once the sword worked its way in and she was able to slowly if not firmly pry it apart. Once it was open she'd hold it open until the pops were heard. She'd step back and glance at the group. Shifting down from her Leomon-X form to her renamon one. No point in really being bigger if it would only bring problems in this early stage.
Once everyone was on the cables proper K found herself glancing down now and again. Once they were at the 'B2' floor it was a quick few moments of uncertainty before the mikemon wrenched open the elevator doors; making the renamon wince a little bit. She could only imagine the reaction of any guards that would find the damage they were causing here or there.
Why are the emergency lights always red?
She'd glance around as they went to the blinking fire exit; with the power being shot it meant that they wouldn't have to worry about the alarm and.. well that meant that no one would come to look if the door was opened. Which made this next part a little more nerve wracking.
The target was right in sight, across what seemed to be a rather open distance between them and it. At th emotion for them to take shelter K pushed herself back against the wall with a small huff. The red grid that appeared on the ground made the Renamon flinch visibly.
What could she do to get past something like that? She didn't really have a way to cross such a range in such a short amount of time. Her displacement was only good for herself and fifteen feet. Which would put her out of the scanning portion of that grid if she was lucky...
"I've got a short ranged teleport on this form, and that's really about it. Best we can do is watch their patterns, Then we go when we see that pattern open up. Or we just risk it by running across the courtyard to the temple."

Both John and Casimeir felt some confidence growing within themselves with Mikemon's reassuring words. "Yeah," John mused to Mikemon, "you're right." A gentle smile creased his lips. It felt good to have someone trust and have faith in him and Casimeir. The human and the Agumon nodded together once they were instructed to climb the elevator shaft.
John and Casimeir crept toward the now opened door that K provided for the party. John knelt down, where he motioned for Casimeir to hop onto his back. And once the dinosaur was securely holding onto him, John grabbed onto a sturdy cable and commenced climbing. The cool touch of the rubber cable was noticeable against his warm hands, but he didn't mind the soft biting of the cold. John was more so glad that he had gotten so used to carrying Agumon on his back.
The muscles in John's arms, chest, and legs had begun to warm up and obtain a soft burning sensation; a sign that they were getting a workout from the rigorous activity. Working in the Digital World for so long had its benefits, such as keeping the human in shape. But thankfully for them, the climb wasn't that high in reality.
Once the pair reached floor B-2, John launched himself toward the opening and landed right on the edge, which he ensured to get away from as soon as possible, keeping an eye out for any guards in the area. With red emergency lights in the otherwise dark hall, it wasn't all that difficult to see.
One by one, the others followed, and the group traversed to the central courtyard where they kept their cover in the stairwell. Both K and Mikemon offered suggestions, and John would chime in. "Time is of the essence. We want to have enough time to reach Blimpmon and have some to spare if we can." He paused, thinking of K's words. "Short-range teleporting would come in handy. Is there a cooldown to how often you can use it?"
"Just running across the field could prove too risky," Casimeir noted. He followed his partner's gaze, watching the Digimon that resembled a metal bee or hornet. "Depending on how long that Digimon takes in each area, we might have a shot."

Now things were getting interesting. The bypass didn't just shut down the elevator, it turned off the entire block of the prison. Viktor started counting as soon as the power went out. Then when he heard the guardsman running about. Then again when they began reporting their locations.
He furrowed his brow and check his watch. Their response was not as impressive as he'd seen, but it was still quick enough that if he didn't keep his wits about him, he'd be caught. What was more interesting is the fact that the entire prison didn't immediately lock down upon losing power, as they do in the human world. Nor did it feature any backup generators. As evident by the other group prying open the elevators and walking through an alarmed exit.
Which meant that the alarms were on the same power grid as the rest of the facility. A practice done in older prisons, but Viktor could see this place being archaic in its ways of incarceration. Genesis called over;
"Found another way. Fans are off, I can slip through to the roof." she said in a hushed tone.
"Take it. But only observe then head right back. We can't risk separation. I'll trail behind the other group and cover their tracks."
Genesis sighed as she crawled through the ducts, sliding passed the halted fans and eventually making her way onto the roof, where she had better eyes. There she saw the courtyard with one, glaring problem;
"Pops. I can see the courtyard. But there's an issue."
Viktor spoke as if he was staring directly at the courtyard himself;
"No cover."
"Yeah... solid fifteen meters between the open ground and the building. Looks like... no real Guard presence. There is a Waspmon hovering above, scanning it's sectors. Pretty throughly too... what's our play?"
Viktor pursed his lips. If what Genesis told him was true; this was similar to a BMS alarm, except... it scanned in specific areas at a certain time, rather than just remotely watch an entire area. It was basically a spotlight.
"Have you got anything to throw?" he mused.
"Not on me. I'm sure there's a rock or something around here. Ah!" she scooped up a small stone and held in her paw, "I think I know where you're going with this."
Viktor started moving to the vent entrance; "Make sure you're back through the vents and to me as soon as that stone leaves your hand."
She sighed, bringing her arm up and aiming using her thumb and forefinger, just like Viktor taught. With a few seconds to aim, she threw the stone directly in the path of the Waspmon. She wasn't the best of pitchers, but lucky for her, the digimon was a large enough target. She didn't wait to see if her stone had made contact with the Waspmon. Instead she climbed back in the vent and was already heading back to Viktor, who still on the level Mikemon's group was hiding in earlier. Near the elevators and vents.
She'd arrive, still no Guards around them;
"That was close. How long before the power's up?"
Viktor ran his hand through his thick, black hair; "A blown fuse will take hours alone to fix. A whole circuit box will take at least a few days. Unless there's some miracle digimon device I am unaware of."
Genesis rolled her eyes, "Now what?"
Viktor ran his tongue around his teeth, "We keep pulling plugs and pushing buttons. But we stay together from here on out. If we need an exit, Kajunemon can make one. Unless it's a quick detour to observe.
Genesis only smiled, she'd relish at the idea of their Super Mega simply fighting off the prison guards and taking whatever they wanted. Sure, she only had memories of being the fox, but as she looked back, it's as if she was there.
"Our next step is to keep sewing chaos. To that end, I think a distraction is in order."
Genesis nodded, "What did you have in mind?"
One plan was to incite a riot, get the inmates out and about and causing plenty of ruckus. But Viktor was missing a key ingredient for that; inmates. Everyone here was encased in some sort of crystal, clearly either brought or intruded. So that left Viktor with a second option; kick the hornets nest.
"You remember that water heating room?"
Genesis nodded, giving a toothy smile.
"Turn the valve all the way up. Rupture the pipe in three places. It'll be a remote bomb."
Genesis nodded again, heading back to the water treatment plant and careful not to overstep, still remaining as quiet as a mouse. A quick climb through the vents and a check of the room... Genesis found only unattended pipes. Likely no-one figured anyone would have business with water heaters. As quickly as she appeared, she formed a diamond in her hand and sliced through three points about five meters from each other in the steam pipe.
The water heater began popping... then hissing. Genesis quickly climbed back in the vent and looked to Viktor, who shrugged;
"Pressure has to build. Come... let's follow the others."
With that the two shared the footsteps of their comrades, walking through the pried open doors and ascending on the rope with ease before stopping on the floor "B2". They then moved up, careful not make noise and attract anyone.
It was time. Any second the pipes within the facility would begin to burst with the incorrect pressure. This would either be a series of audible pops that sounded like medium fireworks... or a massive explosion that would no doubt rock everyone to their core. It was 50/50 at this point.
Either way, it would divert attention away from them.

The Impasse...
As the situation was now, Mikemon, K, John, and Casimeir had two options: to retreat back into the building, or to try and make a break for the temple. Even putting the floating Waspmon aside, there was not a single point of natural cover between their current position and the temple. Anyone viewing from one of the twelve towards at the edge of the island could easily flag their position, sending both the machine and a number of angels over to stop their progress. K couldn't simply repeatedly blink over, and there was no guarantee that just avoiding the metal insect would make this at all safe.
Should we really fall back? John and K kept speaking of paths forward, but it's not like they had an unlimited amount of time to review the situation. Instead of immediately responding, the cat gritted his fangs, trying to piece the situation together in his head...
... The Point of No Return...
But whereas Mikemon was cautious of the hornet's nest, Viktor and Genesis seemed to be ready to jump right in through the angry den of bees. It was fortunate that this imitation of human electronics didn't reference any protocol of the current decade, but it didn't mean the guards were incompetent. Two Angemon escorted a Datamon to the source of the problem, while a MagnaAngemon stalked the halls near the power generator, silently searching for any potential culprit. To them, the possibility that the fuse simply blew out, but there was no reason not to be thorough in their investigation.
Fortunately, they didn't think to check the vents, and Genesis would have a clear shot at the Waspmon with that rock. It sailed through the air, and squarely hit the side of its chassis. Without even a dent, it bounced off its metal armor, landing silently in the courtyard. "Bzzt?" The bug briefly turned its head around, unclear of what direction the rock even came from. The machine looked down, gave a shrug, and continued on with its pattern. No, the Waspmon wasn't being willfully ignorant: in this area of magically flying islands, rock storms were an occasional and real nightmare. The fact that one rock broke off an island and slammed into his side was of little consequence to the armored monster.
That distraction failed, but the next likely wouldn't.
The Panic.
For as Genesis and Viktor joined the rest of the group, an extremely loud explosion tore its way through the lower floors of the block. It went off like a grenade, hot steam having built up and blown the gasket all at once. Mikemon winced, covering his ears... but after a moment, he realized just what kind of trouble the group was in. That? That wouldn't go ignored, the Waspmon already making its way to the block!
"****!" Mikemon swore, glaring right at the Agumon: "Drop all the firepower you can between here and the temple. Let's just tear up the courtyard into a smokescreen." His heightened whisper given, and lacking any moves to perform that himself, he hung back for just a moment longer. Once there would be enough cover, though, he'd charge right into that inevitable cloud of dust, smoke, and dirt, trying to break his way towards the temple!
Still, it didn't help that the Waspmon would take note of that maneuver as well, and would quickly move to try and pinpoint them through their cover!
Log: Current time left: 2:23:02 Setting: Courtyard, as before. The block's water heater exploded on the lower level, and alarms can be heard off in the distance. The Waspmon is approaching the block, and any further disturbance, to intercept any potential intruder.

"Pretty often, not consecutively but enough to where it'd be considered quick charge."
The renamon turned her attention the courtyard again; frowning slightly as she noted the Mikemon didn't seem to like the idea of charging across the open field. Especially under the gaze of the waspmon; whom could make this entire endevour completely null if it caught them. It'd be an uphill battle if they were spotted this early on. She found herself mulling over other possibilities and leaning against the wall a bit.
We don't have unilimeted time to think this over. We need to act quickly or we're going to miss our window completely.. but what can we do in this situation?
Then there was the explosion, it made her fur stand up on end and the renamon almost leapt out of her skin from the surprise. Mikemon was quick to react however and told the agumon to basically fire upon the courtyard. She saw the reasoning behind it and cursed her own inability to really assist in such a matter. Her only real ranged ability wouldn't do anything more than slice up the courtyard while the other needed a target to even operate!
There was another trick she had up her sleeve, but it'd be rather draining for her to use. It might kick her in the rear later if she did but she couldn't really argue with it. She'd have to hope whatever was given to them was enough. She'd inhale a little bit and stare out at the courtyard, her fur calmed down after a few moments and she felt a strange sense of calm decend on her.
The moment cover was given she would rush out, she had to save her displacement for the inevitable jump that she'd need to do. All they needed at this point was to get into the temple proper; they could worry what was on the end of it when they got to it.

Well, John and Casimeir wanted to do more for the team. Now it looked like they would get their wish, under unfortunate circumstances no less. No pressure at all. That massive explosion in the block behind the group reached the Waspmon's attention, and they were now buzzing their way toward them. John grit his teeth in frustration while Casimeir watched the Champion-level approach with unwavering emerald eyes.
Mikemon hissed his orders to the Agumon, who glanced back toward John. All he had was one Pepper Breath to use and nothing else in regards to ranged firepower. He waited until John would speak.
"Okay, buddy," the human breathed while he wracked his brain. He was trying to develop a quick solution to their predicament, and he was running out of time. "It looks bad now, but that's never stopped us before. Digivolving would be too risky. Just give it everything you've got. You have this."
The corners of Casimeir's lips curled into a soft smile. "Right." Facing forward, he built up what fire he could muster from his core. The little dinosaur kept his eyes on the tower up ahead. Just as the Agumon felt like he would burst, all of the fire poured into his mouth.
Pepper Breath!
If not for his size, Casimeir might have been mistaken for a dragon. The lone fireball launched like a cannonball and collided into the area equidistant between the group and the center tower. To John's surprise, it created a decently-sized smoke screen. It was now or never.
"Move!" John barked in a hushed tone, grabbing his Digimon partner. The human bolted off, hopefully with the others running alongside him. Each step made his heart drum faster and each breath much harder.

The longer this went on, the more Viktor realized how unprepared the group had truly came. They were relying on their least experienced member the shoot an attack while a Waspmon approached their location. Viktor pivoted on his back foot, grabbing his digivice and looking to Genesis, speaking softly;
"We can't risk being seen by that Waspmon. If it comes to it... go all the way up to Sakuyamon and waste it."
Genesis nodded, leaning down as she prepared to do so. Luckily, the Agumon shot his pepper breath into the field to create a smoke screen that was moderate in size. It was no wall, but it would conceal them. Viktor waited until the last of the group moved as he tapped Genesis and the two silently moved through to smoke and to the other side. Viktor was unsure if they would be seen, but at this point it was almost moot. What the group failed to understand was how the explosion helped. Like any prison, they needed corrections and guards, the explosion would severely limit the response forces ability to... well respond. Because they were no doubt too busy with the very real explosion that rocked this side of the prison. Not to mention, any forces pulled from other shifts would be tired and make mistakes, even a garrison from another block would only lead to contempt.
Viktor looked to Mikemon, "Our best bet is to confuse the reaction force further. They're all focused on the explosion, now we need to trip alarms on the other side of the block, that way we don't have to waste time finessing around any alarms. The response would be weak at best, and even if it is important, it'll take time to muster a proper response force."
It was crazy to Genesis... that an entire prison system was turned on it's head just because of a few cords and turns of valves. It was more on Mikemon's word now. He could send a group to trip a bunch of alarms on the other side, or simply try to figure any counter intruding systems they had. It could go either way at this point.

Sure, most of the group was inexperienced and unprepared - including the Mikemon himself - but Viktor's contribution definitely kept the momentum going in their favor.
For now, the group as a whole made their way through the smoke, generated from Casimeir's 'Pepper Breath'. The courtyard itself consisted of a rather loamy sod - perhaps to give this island appeal and disguise it's intent from those flying above - but in this case, it let the relatively small explosion create a thick cloud of dirt, enough for each of them to move with some degree of cover. At the very least, those in the towers wouldn't be able to accurately spot them.
The Waspmon, with its scanning vision, was a different story. Even as Viktor started to speak, the cat already gave a growl, both procuring his crystal sphere and clenching it in his right hand. The feline had his eyes set at a specific point on their left flank. Still, he gave a nod: "I'm not going to lie, you're the only one who can pull that off. I need to be in that temple to procure the spirit." Before he said another word, though, the Mikemon aimed that crystal right over Viktor's shoulder: "Crystal Storm!" At once, a single blast of red, crystal shards propelled from the center of that crystal, striking the Waspmon's right engine. Caught in disarray, the machine Digimon tumbled across the ground, behind the group's path, rolling out into the courtyard.
It didn't take long for Mikemon to feel the cold stone floor of the temple's entrance underneath his feet: standing off to the side, he motioned towards K and John. "Go on in!"
Solemnity in Chaos
As the four of them would hopefully make their way into the entrance, they would feel a small 'ripple' of energy across their frames, perhaps as if they had entered in through some sort of barrier. Once inside, all the sounds from the chaos outside immediately ceased - and though it defied most logic for the rest of the prison, the inside of the temple had no posted guards, at least for the prison.
In fact, what laid before them was a simple staircase, leading further down into the earth. The left side of the hall was decorated with a white stone, with black markings representing the sun imposed against it; on the right, a black stone, with white markings representing the moon. Despite its grand symmetry, the signs of age were quite visible here, and a certain, thick air was imposed over the room, as if a presence was watching over them.
Still clutching that sphere in his hand, the Mikemon peered through it, staring far down the staircase: "Hold up... sentinels. I can't tell the species from here, but it looks like three ultimate levels are 'inside the wall'... disguised as decorations, perhaps." The cat took a breath out, nodding towards the other two Digimon, then to John. "Let's level-up beforehand. These halls should fit MetalGreymon, but there won't be much room to dodge left or right. Casimeir, would you be better in the lead or at the rear?"
That question had a reason: it would be difficult to use his full power from the back, but would allow K and Mikemon more room to act. From the front, he'd be able to be a bruiser, but also might take a bruising in the process!
Log: Current time left: 2:20:01 Setting:
Courtyard, as before. Temple entrance leads to a grand staircase, as if leading into a pyramid tomb. Mikemon has warned that three ultimate level sentinels are on the level below.

"All right then. I guess we're doing this the loud and crazy way rather than sneaking all over the damn place..."
The renamon mumbled and shook her head; she didn't like the idea of this but she couldn't lie that Viktor and his partner Genesis would be able to cause enough of a stir to get everything going in such a fashion. She didn't like the idea of putting them in danger and likely at the end of this they may not be all together.
Which was not something she wanted.
John and his partner on the other hand were rather quick to respond to the problem at hand. Using the pepper breath in such a fashion to cover the best location in question. There was a momentary pause before the group made their way through the courtyard. Thankfully using the cloud of dirt in a very effective fashion.
She wasn't really expecting the mikemon to hit home on the Waspmon, but she wasn't really going to argue with the results of it being behind them. She firmly doubted that the creature was out of the fight however. She was of course the first in the temple proper but she didn't go in too far as she hadn't a clue what it'd be like within.
With the loss of sound and passing through what amounted to a barrier K checked herself over. There wasn't anything immediately wrong and she'd grit her teeth a little bit. She hoped that it hadn't warned anyone inside...
When mikemon started to talk and say something about sentinels she'd hesitate a little bit and look around. There were three ultimate tier digimon inside the wall? Waiting for intruders no doubt. Clenching her fists the renamon was quickly covered in the gentle light of digivolution in order to become a shutmon this time around. it wasn't the largest of digimon and would allow her a sense of mobility.
"I don't think I should go any higher than this, but if things get sour in this fight I'm going to go one step further. We can't get locked down in a fight too long either."

Now the mission was kicked up a notch. Just as John had hoped, the rookie-level attack provided some decent cover for the small group. But just as well, it was enough to capture the Champion's unwanted attention. It was inevitable, after all. The human's mind reeled when the thing was coming right at them. But thanks to the well-placed shot, it was something that the group no longer needed to worry about. At least, for now.
Admittedly, the human was nearly out of breath when he reached the tower. He had to start getting in more shape than he was. Carrying Casimeir was not helping. "That was...Whew.." John panted to regain his stamina. "That was some good thinking, distracting the guards like that!" His praise was directed to Viktor, of course. "And Mikemon, that was a good shot! You guys are doing great, really!"
John was now smiling a bit, somewhat recovered. And it couldn't have happened sooner now that Mikemon gave him and Casimeir new instructions. Now placing the Agumon back onto the ground, they trudged on through the entrance. The pair felt a tingle down their bodies when they passed through the barrier. John and his partner caught themselves being more enthralled by the interior design. It was when Mikemon suggested the presence of more enemies that they became more serious.
"What do you think, Cas? You up for being our tank?"
Casimeir smirked confidently. "You have to ask, John? MetalGreymon can handle this, no problem."
John smiled in response while he grasped his Digivice, which began to glow. "Alright. Cas, you're in the lead." Casimeir's body transitioned into a light blue form which shifted and grew during his evolution process.
"Agumon! Digivolve to...MetalGreymon!"
This was the second time that Casimeir had the chance to Digivolve into his Ultimate stage. His thick hide and his durable armor would be more than enough to handle a few foes. "Okay, guys. Nowhere to go but onward." With those words of instilling confidence, the mechanized dinosaur lead on without hesitation. Still, he kept himself ready for any attacks that could come their way at any moment.

Plan B, then.
With the Waspmon sent reeling and the group moving with the smokescreen, Viktor followed up to the entrance of the temple, where he would nod to Mikemon and pivot around, facing outward;
"Genesis, spread out. Head to the south wall, I'll head north. Watch the Waspmon!"
Viktor and Genesis both darted in opposite directions, hopefully moving just fast enough to evade the Waspmon, as they would enter back into the prison. Viktor was certain the roving digimon didn't sense or see them as it was more than likely still recovering from what was essentially a lost leg. There was still a chance, however.
As he entered into the prison, he'd press against the wall, moving to the cells as he made sure to not trip any alarms... not yet. Genesis did the same on the other side, carefully watching as she slinked along the wall and into the block. Some cage doors were already open, and not every cage was filled with a crystallized prisoner. Some were just... objects. Artifacts or something.
Footsteps.
Genesis swung around a ducked into a cell, where she pressed against the wall and prepared to ambush anybody who was checking the cages. She controlled her breath, her chest fluff rising and falling in a controlled manner.
They're gone.
Genesis cocked her head. She began to question if someone said footsteps or if she indeed heard them. But now... someone was assuring her they were gone.
Don't be afraid, Genesis. I'm here to help. I can help you find your way.
The voice spoke, but Genesis only shook her head, "I know my way, I don't need help."
I'm not talking about WHERE you are. You seek to fix yourself. I can feel it. I can help. All you have to do is take me...
Genesis faced the small stone, which was perfectly angled and cut in five directions. It shined several colors and was no bigger than her thumb. She raised her brow,
"How... nevermind. You can heal me?"
I can make you beautiful. Like K... just... take me.
Genesis blinked. This stone... knew about K and her? But it had to be in the prison for a reason. It had done something to be here.
Was Viktor's imprisonment justified? Or what if they catch you now? We're in the same boat, darling. Free me, and I will give you want you want. Ah, but do wait until we're outside the walls?
Genesis sighed. It made a good point. Besides, she would heal her scars along her body and face AND free someone. That was worth it, right? She took the stone and dropped it in her sleeve's pocket, something Viktor had sown in a while ago.
"Genesis? Genesis answer."
"I'm here."
"Start tripping alarms then leave, meet me at the courtyard."
Genesis nodded to herself then began walking to each cell, pressing the large green buttons on each cell door. A loud buzzing noise echoed through each time a door thrusted open, and before long the alarms began blaring. She slipped back and began running to the courtyard, easily maneuvering around any responding guards, which she figured would be bare at best due to the explosions and the other alarms going off at once.
As she arrived back to the courtyard, she'd see Viktor who was ducking down, still trying to avoid sightlines of the Waspmon and towers. Genesis waved, he nodded.
The two simply walked out in the open. Not running, not even giving a brisk pace. No doubt the Waspmon and any tower would see them now. Even if they did to move to intercept, Viktor and Genesis were much too close for it to matter.
"Looks like you're getting what you want, Genesis."
Now... it was only a matter of time.

The Temple
Thankfully, the prison guards didn't follow the group into the Temple itself. Perhaps they simply didn't know how many intruders made their way through the smoke, or perhaps Viktor and Genesis' distraction was enough to keep them off their backs... or maybe the guards would simply be waiting at the entrance of the temple when they tried to make their leave.
All were possible, but it wasn't as if the group had a choice to go back at this point. Mikemon gave a nod to John's words of encouragement. "We can't afford to slow down yet, though. The sooner we get down this hall, the better." At the very least, the Mikemon wanted to get one level lower, to be out of easy sight of the guards - and fortunately, both Casimeir and K were able to reach their ultimate level. The metal dragon took to the front, as K and Mikemon held to the back.
"Hopefully, we won't need too much more firepower than this." The Mikemon gave a nod, tightly grasping the red gem in his paw. Over his right hand and wrist, a hard gauntlet took shape, covering his arm. "Don't be afraid to let loose, but at least watch for the walls of this place. Let's roll!"
And with his declaration, the Mikemon would follow the metallic dragon straight down that one flight of stairs. The hallway let out into a larger, circular room - so much for the MetalGreymon occupying the entire hallway - and at the center, left, and right sides - each about fifteen feet apart - three 'golems' quickly cracked to life:
Andromon. And each machine sighted their own target: the center Andromon tensed its right arm and bolted for the MetalGreymon, its right arm taking a deep red hue. Rather than try and pick off against the titanic Digimon's armor, it instead bolted head-on, intent on ramming the MetalGreymon's front side with its enhanced arm.
The one on the left quickly put its sights on the Shutmon. Noting the metal threat, it tensed both of its fists, a powerful electric hue growing over both of its gauntlets. This one, too, wanted to get nice and close, intent on letting out a straight punch towards the wolf's center. Whether it hit or it was blocked with a metal blade, K would feel the electrical aftereffects.
As for the third, the right-most Andromon raised an arm, a laser starting to glint in its raised arm, intending to assist the other two from a range. Mikemon was quick to follow-up, however, as it was instead forced to lower its arm, the cat taking the laser with his gauntlet, before pushing himself into close-range. All things considered, this could quickly turn to a scrappy fight!
The Prison
Unfortunately, the attack that struck the Waspmon only seemed like a temporary solution. With the smoke dying down, the metallic Digimon gave an irritated buzz, its disrupted engine soon roaring back to life. Fortunately for Viktor, this was enough for both him and the fox to move out of range of the metallic Digimon...
... But definitely not enough to escape the ire from the prison as a whole. Outside of the initial smoke, it was easy to see which block both Viktor and Genesis made their way into, and both would already hear the sounds of guards roaming through the halls. Getting spotted at this rate would end up poorly for both of them, especially with the Renamon maintaining her rookie form.
Flipping further alarms did further draw attention to both of them, yes. It meant well for the main group, but at this rate, the two walking in the courtyard were an easy target. Several angel-types were already on their way, and from the towers themselves came a more immediate threat:
Celestial arrows. Rays of light poured out from three of the towers, at least four on target to pierce both the human and the Renamon. If they hit, well, they wouldn't keel over right there, but they would find it incredibly hard to move...
Log Current time left: 2:17:01 - Temple 2:01:00 - Courtyard
Setting: Temple: Down the grand staircase leads to a foyer-like chamber, with grand doors on the far wall of a circular room. Three Andromon stand as sentinels to defend. Engaging the MetalGreymon, Andromon uses 'Crimson Gauntlet', part of its armor taking the traits of Chrome Digizoid. Engaging the Shutmon, Andromon uses 'Lightning Blade', spawning electrical blades that electrocute metallic or organic targets on contact.
Courtyard: From the towers, unseen targets are letting out powerful rays of light, with the intent to shoot down Viktor and Genesis where they stand.

This would the first time that the Renamon had seen a MetalGreymon up close. The sheer size of the creature was surprising to say the least and she wasn't exactly sure what she could classify it as either. Was it a dragon? Or was it a cyborg? Was it a cyborg dragon? She knew a few of those creatures; but they were mostly metal and generally overburdened with weaponry.
Mikemon was right however, they couldn't afford to slow down even by a tiny bit. They were on a time crunch and if they didn't meet the window they would be left wanting. At whatever was the halfway mark she hoped firmly they were on their way out or at the very least.. Had the physical item they came here for.
"Agreed. Too much more and we risk being detected even more so than we already somewhat are."
It didn't take even a few minutes before they came across the first would be defenders of this temple. A trio of Andromon's, one for each of them. Was this a tempered response? Or was this just a normal force? There was much to consider here; but they couldn't be bogged down by this.
One of them ended up attacking Casimeir. Using some attack that the Shutmon didn't really recognize, but as red and fire usually went hand and hand.. She had to guess it was something to do with heat.
The shutmon growled in irritation and her forearm blades immediately switched to their 'offensive' stance. Both blades swinging forward as she was quickly met by a simular tempered response. The electric hue that she was greeted with gave the shutmon an instant idea, one of which was immediately apparent as her own version of Lightning-Blade sprang to fruition. The crackling electricity dancing along the length of her blades.
She would meet the andromon halfway with his attack, intending for the fist to collide with one of her blades while the other was drawn back, ready to strike at her behest...
Lightning-Blade: This digimon may charge it's blades with lightning, allowing it to make shocking high damaging strikes for two posts. This may electrocute some bodies of water and deal spread damage within. This move has a two post cool down.
