"I'm fine, a little dinged up from those missiles but I'll manage."
Inside of the room itself it was a flurry of thoughts and general suggestions. She only had the one and well; the fact they couldn't fly was going to make this incredibly difficult.
The fact that all of them lacked any water ability only brought a soft groan and she'd shake her head; what could they do about this. John and casimeir were quick to use this situation however, using that fire breath to mark out a path forward...
IF there was one, it was a little bit of a frustrating note to be stuck on. All considering they shouldn't really be surprised with this sort of thing. With a grumble the shutmon looked around, frowning deeply as they were gifted with another problem.
Then mikemon made a suggestion to her to blast the spot that his rock had broken off of. She didn't see much of a reason to argue with him, considering that she didn't have a better idea. Her blast was quick to come, and just as quick to explode outwards from the area of impact.
With each one she'd wince a little bit as she wasn't sure if anyone on the outside would of heard them. She'd look down at the sheer drop and frown a little bit.
"I can fly sure, but there's a chance an enchantment exists to force us to fall the whole way. Don't know and would rather not find out."
There was a soft sigh and she'd move over to look at the platforms, frowning deeper and trying to gauge the distance from here to the next platform. If they were built in a continual manner maybe they'd be split evenly too? She'd share her theory with the others quickly as they were absolutely still on a time crunch.
"If there are multiple platforms we have to expect they likely are built in such a fashion where the spacing is even between them. Which means that were we to jump from one to nothing we wouldn't have enough time or range to react normally if we missed. Realistically if we can find a 'path' of them, it's possible for one of us to get a running jump, keep the momentum and then keep jumping as they got to each platform. How does that sound?"

So far, so good. Casimeir's quick thinking and ingenuity proved to be incredibly reliable. It certainly helped instill a sense of purpose into John and his partner now that the invisible path wasn't much so any longer. John had to smile at himself. Playing video games was helpful after all!
And now came the hard part. Casimeir halted along with the rest of the group once they happened across their next challenge. Not only was the path still unseeable, but now platforms were thrown into the mix. And there was no telling where each one ended or began.
John sighed to himself as he walked up next to his partner's leg. "Well, so much for that idea lasting. But we made some good headway, at least." He eyed the remainder of the expanse that lied ahead of the team. When K made an open suggestion, both John and Casimeir glanced toward her direction. Then, John met Casimeir's gaze. "Well, Cas? Looks like we have no choice but to jump across."
The MetalGreymon offered a nod in agreement with his partner. "Flying may be out of the question, but I can still jump pretty far with the help of my wings. Those who want to, hop on my back."
John quickly followed Casimeir's instruction and began to scale his Digimon partner the moment that he lowered himself enough to assist anyone in climbing onto him. Once those who decided to ride him were secure, Casimeir prepared himself. "Hold on!"
The cyborg backed himself up a good distance in order to gain some much-needed momentum. He studied the distance between the edge of the path and the platform for a moment so that he may gather how far he would need to jump. And once John felt his partner shift his weight, he gripped the violet fur at Casimeir's crown even tighter.
Casimeir initiated his run with great strides thanks to his current stature. Powerful muscles made up his legs, while his talons provided excellent traction. If not for his tail, the dinosaur's form would not have sufficient balance. The edge of the path was reached in a matter of moments, and then came the jump.
John's stomach turned from the sudden gain in altitude. If he had any way of knowing for sure what the layout of the platforms could be, he wouldn't be so nervous about this leap of faith. He wanted to shut his eyes but he just couldn't bring himself to do so. All they could do is pray and hope that this could be pulled off!

An attack around his position, rather than the center of it? Clever. But while the Angel thought the fox was taunting him with his words, he was more thinking out loud and that 'Outside the box' attack, proved his point that much more. With the move, less concern was warranted for two simple factors;
One, the angel just made him an escape route should things get out of hand. But not just him; If the group needed a quick exit upon leaving the temple, one was provided. Certainly, it was a long drop, but the following reason was why this wasn't a problem.
Two, and most important; Given the data within the fox, (Taomon and Sakuyamon) he could fly. Not so much in the traditional sense, but more like levitating indefinitely. While the light created a blinding wall around him, the Ronin would remain in place, despite the attack sinking the ground into the intended hole in the center of the courtyard. There would be no real way to see Kajunemon beyond the attack, at least to the crowd that set a perimeter around the temple. As soon as the attack would finish, the Angel would see the fox hovering in place, his tails flowing like an angry fire as he simply moved a few feet over and sighed.
"I assume that's all then." Kajunemon drew his blade, shaking his shoulders and bringing the weapon forward in a classical 'samurai' stance. Normally, he would keep this fight between the Angel and himself. But... he couldn't have his friends exit the temple to an entourage that was well rested and well fed, after they likely dealt with what might be an equal fight inside the temple. Since the angel somehow continued to predict his counterattacks, despite no indication given that there would be one, and all he did was simply called forth his superfluous attacks again and again; The Fox would make this fight everyone's problem.
With a quick draw, while also minding the floating annoyance, he would dash to the group of guards who set up their perimeter and glide between each one of them, giving them a swipe that wasn't at his full power, but would still be deadly to even a mega. Aiming for arms, legs, heads, and most vital areas. The Seraphimon would be hard pressed to begin his holy strikes while Kajunemon was in the middle of his own comrades.
But then again, it wouldn't surprise Kajunemon if he did... all this Angel did was prove the Fox right; Lots of bright, loud attacks that had little in the way of function, which he heavily relied on. Easy to side step, easy to avoid. It was becoming clear the real threat was the perimeter to his friend when the exited, since all the Angel did was use one move and hover in his single spot.
Perhaps his power of Super Mega was given, rather than earned.

Bearing in mind the cat is mega for the purposes of this mission... don't worry, he'll lose that fairly soon."If I had to guess, this room was supposed to be, at one point, a trial for the spirit user to undertake to prove his worth for the totem. The fact that its such a punishing one only proves this thing's potential malice..."
Musings aside, K had a rather decent point. Given the terms of the trial, it would make sense that the platforms had, at the very least, some sort of cohesive pattern to them - and that they would have to be evenly spaced. To test this, the feline held up his crystal, and let forth a wide spread of crystal shards in front of them, either falling into the void or shattering on impact with the ground. Indeed: the platforms naturally seemed to be five feet apart, ten feet wide, and packed in a 'hexagonal' fashion. So it was just a matter of reaching the central platform, on this basis?
"... Not all of us need to risk it, but at minimum, I'll need to be there, with at least one other person, to secure the totem. K, your call if you want to head on over as well." Regardless, Mikemon would climb up onto the Metalgreymon's back, his crystal at the ready to continue to reveal the solid ground beneath them.
And soon enough, at least the three of them would be off! The first leap came without incident, landing on the platform, even easily being able to support the MetalGreymon's weight. What was more interesting, however, happened when the dragon gave his second jump...
... As the crystals that had lied on the first platform fell into the void. The starting platform was unaffected, but every sequential one the dragon jumped off simply vanished on the spot!
"... Alright K was right to say 'keep moving'," the cat muttered. Fortunately, her approach was absolutely correct, otherwise: other than directing Casimeir to only use the platforms on one side, it wouldn't take them long to reach the center. The platform that the altar was on seemed to follow different rules, similar to the starting platform - and it didn't take long for Mikemon to jump off of MetalGreymon's back, motioning for John to follow.
"Put these on." From the few supplies he had brought with him, the cat pulled out what would have been a curious item anywhere else: a set of long white gloves, that felt like they were made of rubber, that would easily stretch up past the tamer's elbow. The feline wasn't taking any more risks than was necessary: pointing up to the top of the alter, he gave his instruction: "Go up, pick up the totem, and hold it as far away from your body as you can. Bring it right back down to me."
It sounded simple, right? And approaching would be quite easy, but as soon as he would reach his hands out, should he grasp that small, angelic totem, he'd quickly realize Mikemon's caution: even through the gloves, the heat of the disturbed data threatened to sear his fingers off - and a harsh whisper would sink right into the tamer's ears:
After so long, I'm found... just to be taken in such a disgraceful way? Remove these... A burst of data pulsed outward from the totem, the 'bubble' extending out - but unable to reach past into John's data. Was it actively trying to possess him? Let my wings roam free. You'll need my power to get out of here, anyway! The voice, despite its demanding tone, had an alluring, and 'pleading' tone to it.
"You alright, there?"
Oh?
The Seraphimon certainly had not anticipated this result: rather than simply being blown past the point of no return, even as a massive hole had been bored through the island, the Ronin floated calmly in place. From the start of the attack to the end, there would have been no way to see through either way - if the Kajunemon had even done anything to block at all. And unfortunately for the angel, the Kajunemon's words had some truth:
After such a massive blast, the Seraphimon's data was left sparking, completely immobilized from the attempt. He would have been easy pickings, should the Kajunemon think to go after him...
... But, instead, he went after the other guard, surrounding the temple! Realizing the change in tone, but unable to even speak, he merely turned his head to watch. The first guard, an Angemon, was cut down in an instant, whereas the ultimates of MagnaAngemon and Angewomon were blown away despite their guards, left tumbling into the turf below. Rather than the Seraphimon pressing on, an array of holy strikes rained down from around, in various sources, attempting to slow this onslaught in any way possible. Each blow left more red data in the air, threatening to scatter into the winds...
"Y... you..."

K wasn't about to jump pad to pad with the group; it'd make ill sense for them all to do so as if one of them mucked up the others would suffer. She would of preferred it be just one person to see what would happen. She'd shake her head slightly and let out a soft sigh.
"I'll stay here, just in case. That and too many cooks in the kitchen with just a simple jumping bit. We best be as quick as we can and if everyone jumps well... It might end poorly if we have some guards show up."
The shutmon turned to look towards the entry that they had come from. Switching her blades to their 'attack' mode. She didn't really expect anything to come but with how this entire mission was going she wasn't about to take any chances at all.
It'd make for a bad way if the three of them got smacked out of the air or if something tried to interfere with them on the middle platform. So she had to wait; which she really didn't mind doing at this point. With a soft sigh she'd consider how well they were doing and just how smoothly everything had went.
It made her kind of nervous really...
OOC: Short post I know but there's not much I can do other than wait!

John and Casimeir both felt some much-desired relief now that the precarious obstacle had been overcome. "Oh wow," John sighed, "that was intense." The man slid off of his partner, just happy to be on some solid ground. "I just hate that we'll have to do the same thing again once we grab that totem."
Speaking of which, John eyed the item in question in full display to everyone in the vast room. The way that Mikemon spoke about it made John wonder who its intended possessor was meant to be. "So, what happens when that person, whoever it is, does have to do this trial? Would they be out of luck forever?" In truth, John had never thought about the concept of destiny much. "What's more, messing with something like this...Could we really get away with it?"
Casimeir, meanwhile, was exhausted. "I need some rest...Especially if we have a fight waiting for us." The cyborg sighed. "Time for a break." With that, the MetalGreymon disappeared to be replaced by an Agumon. "Today has just been a rollercoaster, huh guys?"
John looked back with a gentle smile. "You rest up, Cas. You're doing a wonderful job so far. Just conserve your energy while you can, okay?" His smile faded away once he looked at the totem again, and upon being handed that gloves, John put them on as he was told. "Still. This is the right thing to do." The human had to collect his thoughts before reaching to grasp the totem.
Then the burning sensation arrived. John's nerve endings screamed in pain even with the protective gloves around his hands. The man winced. How he was handling this pain so well, he had no clue. Was it the drive to help others? But soon after a voice called to him in the reaches of his mind. This totem. Was it sentient? How did totems work again? If John remembered correctly, totems were utilized by Spirit Users. Humans that could become Digimon. Temptation began to seep into him, only slightly. He could be more useful in fights rather than staying on the sidelines.
His body was threatened to be pushed away by the burst of data from the totem. Remove the gloves? John closed his eyes, fighting a mental battle against the searing in his hands. "No," he answered. "Casimeir is my partner. If I became a Spirit User...I'd more than likely lose him. Besides." He glanced toward Mikemon. "You are not for me. And I have no desire to use your power for myself. You have a higher purpose."
John tentatively kept the totem as far away from his body as he could like one would be holding a stick of fire. But his hands couldn't keep up with this smoldering heat forever. Quickly yet carefully, he handed the totem to Mikemon. "Okay quick, take it! My hands are gonna melt off!"

The flurry of arrows that rained from above did little to stop the progress of the Ronin, he simply side stepped one or deflected another before he turned to notice the Seraphimon was knelt and only watched... a clear indication he was weakened from the endeavor. While he ran and slashed, he looped back around, leaping off an Angewomon and landing just short of Angel. He brought he sword lateral as he placed both hands on the hilt of his blade and raised it in the air, preparing to give his foe a summary, yet honorable execution. He brought the blade down, looking to separate the Seraphimon's head from his shoulders.
It might have, too. Had Kajunemon not stopped just before the blade met his plated armor. Instead, he brought the blade around and would tap the neckguard of his armor, staring down to his waning foe;
"I told you I would not kill you for doing your job. But I will do what I must. Call your Guard off, tell them to lay down their weapons and surrender. I will harm no more."
He watched as no doubt the Angel enforcer would watch the familiar red data of his allies drift to the wind;
"...And to the dust you shall return. I have no desire to load them. Even if you don't comply. But, do not force my hand. We are not here to loot and raid. Just one item. Don't make this harder than it needs to be," he placed the tip of the blade on his armor to emphasis his argument to Seraphimon, "Do the right thing. Think of your men."
He would keep on guard, watching the Angel carefully should he attempt any attack. If he did, the Ronin would plunge his sword deep into the Angel then he would lift him high into the air. Not only to leverage his attack, but to show his Guard that he would tolerate this no more. If this did happen and the looked into the Fox's eyes, they would see sorrow and regret. It was clear, though he had his hates for Luminas, he did not want to take life anymore than he had to. But that was assuming the Seraphimon attacked or didn't do something too unexpected beyond the Fox's scope of preparation.
Hopefully, this secured the exit for the part inside the Temple!

How DARE you try and tell me what my purpose is?! You are nothing more than a gnat compared to me!
Oof - tone shift, much? John's resolute answer was met with a harsh retribution by whatever spirit laid within this totem. its voice echoing harshly in John's head. You have no idea what I am, do you? No, you're just the henchman of a thief...
Thankfully, John wouldn't have to endure it for too much longer. As he made his way to the bottom of the stares, the Mikemon gave an unfortunate shake of his head. "I'll try and make it quick," he pulled out a roll of bandages, made of similar material to the gloves, "But you'll have to hold out for a minute or two!"
No! I'll not be held like this!
It seemed the spirit had no choice in the matter: presuming John managed to hold firm, the Mikemon started to wrap that cloth around, like wrapping up a tight package. His goal was to make it so that no physical part of the totem could touch the outside, preventing the spirit from possessing whoever was holding it. However, he needed two hands to apply the cloth - leaving John to hold onto it for a few excruciating minutes. Eventually, though, the cat was able to take it off his hands, holding it in a strap over his shoulder.
All seemed fine...
... For a moment or two. As this was going on, the Shutmon would find herself staring at a rather empty walkway. One that would remain rather boring and empty, despite any anticipation for that to change...
... Because the guardians of this room didn't come from the outside. In stark silence, two Digimon ascended from the void: one behind K, and one nearer the altar. The former, a LadyDevimon (X), looked over to the Shutmon with a grin, a chain whip extending from her left arm. Rather than announce her attack, she simply struck out with that snaring grip, intending to catch K around her feet with a makeshift lasso. Even if it managed to snag a single ankle, an electrical surge would still course through the metal - and worse yet, the vampire type would try and drag her into the void!
The latter, a MagnaAngemon (X), wasted no time in popping up from the void as well, looking right to the three! Rather than settle on a fair fight, the otherwise noble angel would beat its wings, in an effort to try and send the three straight off the edge with a powerful gust.
Why did their wings work?!
As for the Seraphimon... well, if only it were so simple. Though he may had been able to outwit the guards, the moment that blade was leveled towards the guard of his neck, the resolute Seraphimon seemed to glare back - and without a single motion of his own, the barrier that he constructed before once more appeared in front, blowing back that threatening blade away from his neck!
"This is a matter bigger than them! Bigger than I!" The Seraphimon's anger was quite evident on his voice: dragging himself back to his feet, a white blade of energy extended from both of his wrist guards, the angel staring down this insolent fox from his higher stature. "Perhaps you underestimate our resolve..."
At that mere note, the red data scattering into the air began to magnetize, pulled into this shining blades without a second thought. It seemed that Kajunemon had more respect for the guard than Seraphimon, himself!

So this was what it came down to in the end? Jumping through platforms to a silent challenge which then followed suit by an equally as silent exchange. Though there was soft words spoken between what could be considered as 'thieves' the hall remained vastly silent and she wasn't sure if she liked that. Something just felt off about this entire scenario and she wasn't sure what it was exactly.
The silence however was broken by a sudden grip on her ankles which was quickly followed by an electrical shock. The latter most of which managed to throw her for a loop; disorientating the poor shutmon!
It was easy enough to drag her into the void following suit but the disorientation only lasted a few crucial seconds. By the time she managed to respond to the attack she'd likely already be in the enemies strong suit. But that didn't matter to her. She couldn't fly either, she couldn't make a good attack at range either.
If she was let go of she'd just fall endlessly and leave the other's with a foe they couldn't deal with momentarily. So she did the only thing she could. Grab onto the chain that was still around her ankles and try to yank the LadyDevimon down with her hopefully getting a solid swipe at the Vampire with her other forearm blade.
She wasn't going to go down without a fight and there was no way in hell she'd allow herself to be outed this easily especially when others were relying on her in some fashion or another.

John was left with searing hands.A distant memory arose from a time when he was less than five years old. A moment where he touched the surface of a hot clothing iron to see if it was still hot. The man found himself staring at the palms of his hands while he returned to the present. With the intensity of the sensation he felt while holding that totem, he was surprised to find there was no mark of any kind despite it being hotter than that iron so many years ago. "Maybe it wasn't just a physical burn," he murmured. John peered back across the chasm filled by the invisible pathway to watch K. Then his eyes fell to his watch. "We have about an hour and change. We've spent close to two hours...What happens if we fail to reach the Blimpmon? Could you remind me of the contingency plan again?"Casimeir went to respond but was cut short by the sudden appearance of two Digimon. He was familiar with the LadyDevimon, but the latter? It looked like some kind of angel. Perhaps in the Angemon line? And now, K was falling into the darkness. "K, no!" He desperately reached out his hand, even though he knew that he could do nothing to save her. The Mikemon met John's eyes. "Throw me."John couldn't find words at first. "Wait, what?"Mikemon growled. "I don't need arguments! Throw me at K as hard as you can! I have an idea!"John blinked. He was bewildered, but still. What other option did he have? John quickly grasped Mikemon, reached back, and pitched the feline Digimon toward the plummeting K after making necessary calculations in his head to adjust for a decent intersection. This left John and Casimeir alone to face the MagnaAgnemon. John readied himself, as did Casimeir, who promptly got to his feet. "You rested up enough, bud?"
Casimeir almost grimaced. "Not even close. But we have to do this."John smiled rather nervously. "It's funny. I'm actually a little scared. Never faced a Mega before But frightened or now. We have to do this. For the team. Time to be brave." Bravery or no, the odds were stacked against the pair. And without a moment to waste, the MagnaAngemon unleashed its first attack. John's comparably small body was met by freight train-force gusts. It was more than enough to cause him to slide back toward the ledge despite his best efforts to brace against the gale. He dared not look back, but he could almost feel how close he was to being blown off. Was this how his journey ended? What happened when a person was killed in the Digital World? "CAS!"The next few moments happened in a blur. With his eyes squeezed shut from the dust, he could not tell what was happening around him. There was a strange happenstance. He felt a bright light against his eyelids, a vibrating Digivice, the sound of streaming data akin to Digivolving, and then, his movement stopped while he was almost embraced. Was something looming over him? "I've got you!"That voice...It wasn't one he was familiar with. Was it the angel's? No. It sounded familiar, somehow. Like he should know it. Did he dare peek at his surroundings? It took a moment for John to register what was around his form. Staring right at him was a concerned yet confident emerald iris from a silver-colored horned helmet. And Casimeir was nowhere to be seen. Putting two and two together... "Is...It you?""I'm WarGreymon, now."
John simply stated into Casimeir's eye and took a moment to get a good look at the armored dragon man Digimon. "WarGreymon? Does that mean you're a Mega?"The newly formed Digimon stood at his full height at seventeen feet tall, staring down the MagnaAngemon. "Your bravery is what made me achieve this form. I wasn't about to stand by and lose you." Casimeir then launched himself into the air while collecting energy between his gauntlets the darkness in the void became penetrated by light from the surmounting attack. "Poseidon Force!" The energy quickly condensed, whereupon it was fired at the MagnaAgnemon.

Kajunemon turned to watch in disbelief as the Angel loaded his own guard. The men that trusted him, robbed of their immortality so one Mon could have as light advantage. Kajunemon felt his lip quiver, his fur igniting into a brilliant flame as he felt the burning in his the pit of his stomach begin to consume him. But as the ground shook in his immediate area, he took a breath as the Angel was healing and loading the data. Anger and combat did not mix. He would temper this raw emotion into a weapon and use it against this... coward. The Fox would spit as he turned to face his recovered foe. Not like there was much to recover to being with, given he barely did much in the ways of fighting.
"Typical evangelical. So willing to sacrifice your own in the name of some righteous cause, yet you fail to see hindsight. Mons like you will never change."
Kajunemon pointed his cursed blade at the angel, thinking of his own past when he served the Royal Knights, and how he left them for the same reason this Angel was in power. The cycle was endless and it was little more than a conveyor belt to one's own doom. The Fox, who was not always in such appearance, turned against his masters and for it, he was cursed and cast out. So it was safe to say Kajunemon had a bit of a chip on his shoulder against Angels as a whole, but this 'Leader'... this coward of a digimon was something that truly caused the Ronin's tails to flick out in anger, despite his control. He only scowled at his foe as he waited for him to finish his loading... oh, he was going to make him truly regret this.
Kajunemon closed his eyes and brought his blade up, breathing slowly as he focused. The sound of the guard standing on their toes. The gently hum of the floating island. The rocks shaking against the ground. There... as if an insult to the peace was Seraphimon, wielding his two white blades! His eyes shot open and the fox did not hesistate.
The ground itself behind Kajunemon shifted as he almost slid to Seraphimon. The air behind him rushing to catch up with the fox as he performed a slight hop then spun his blade around his back, turning his body and shifting his weight, looking to dodge any attack his foe made that was this close. The blades were with white energy as if they would phase through most blades or even act as an anti-metal. But the Angel would soon learn any special effect his blades had were useless on The Ronin's sword. Not even electricity could pass a current through the blade, though it could reach out to the fox. Even so, despite Seraphimon having two blades, Kajunemon easily matched him as he was a very practiced swordsman and martial artist. While they were clashing, the Fox would give slight turns of his body, looking to hip toss the Angel into the nearest structure. No doubt if he did go flying, he would demolish anything he landed into with little ways to stop the effects of a Super Mega!
What was more was that their attacks were very much amplified compared to the attacks of their peers. With each blade clash cratering the ground and every missed attack causing the environment around them to collapse against the power of the clashing Super Megas. The Island itself was likely feeling these effects, given how far on the power spectrum the two were! They might even feel it in the temple, despite it's isolation.
As Kajunemon continued his relentless he would give the Angel no reprieve. No matter how much he tried to fly away or how much he ran. No... this Angel would pay the consequences for his actions.
The Ronin was his judge. His jury. And soon to be his executioner.

At the very least, the totem was now in their possession - and as of yet, there didn't seem to be any repercussions for staying in this room. As the cat continued to bandage that totem, John mentioned the time: just about an hour left? "Honestly, this is going much faster than it could have been. Our contingency plan, mind you, is to jump off the Island and hope our individual powers of flight can maintain themselves on the way down."
It was unpleasant, but not at all impossible. And it was hardly a concern - all they had to do now was leave the temple, make their way back, and -
Oh no. Right there, at the worst possible time, the room's guardians finally activated, quickly targeting the two groups. MagnaAngemon's gale was threatening, but digging his claws into the platform, he managed to easily hold his footing. The same couldn't be said for that Shutmon, however, the cat gritting his teeth as she was pulled right off the edge. The Mikemon's heart skipped a beat: there she was, dangling, a mere instant from falling into the darkness.
"... Throw me." His words earned a confused statement from John: "Wait, what?"
Damn it, he didn't have time! "I don't need arguments! Throw me at K as hard as you can! I have an idea!" Honestly, he would have preferred the MetalGreymon give the toss, but with one wrenching through, the feline had already made it halfway there...
"Oh, my dear, aren't you a feisty one?" With the Shutmon already pulled off the platform, the LadyDevimon couldn't help but give a chuckle at her efforts. Without her feet planted against the ground, she wasn't able to put her body into it: all the demon had to do was lift her legs out of range, and hold that one arm down, to let the Shutmon struggle below. Still, she wouldn't even make it that simple: her clawed hand gave a twitch, a dark miasma leaking out, slowly moving to waft over the Shutmon's form.
Poison gas. It was enough to blanket the ultimate, the gas enough to burn the Shutmon's lungs should she try to breathe. And should K hold her breath, well... how long could she keep that up?
However...
... The Mikemon was having none of it. Still quite a long distance away, John potentially having overestimated himself, the feline gritted his fangs. What he was about to do... well, there was no question, it was stupid. But what choice did he have?
That's it... let me out...
Shut it. The Mikemon's mental voice was strong, as he reached back, plugging a single hole in that wrapping. The bare tip of that wing touched his shoulder, the Mikemon's frame sparking with a green static for a second, his eyes giving a fierce red pulse. An immeasurable amount of pain rocketed through the small cat, but he didn't care: a tight orb of dark energy built beneath his feet, a powerful light blooming from the center of that mass.
Chaos Blast!
The power erupted out - and in near the next instant, the LadyDevimon would see the result. Mikemon had flung himself forward like a bullet, keenly striking into her side, forcing both her and the restrained Shutmon right back onto the platform! The demon skidded for a moment, before dragging herself back to her feet, groggy from the strike.
Mikemon, however, stayed down. With that package still against his back, he growled in pain, both legs singed and his entire body cascading with a pulsing, green static.
"Impudent little..." Ugh, no matter. Readying her chain, she looked right back to the Shutmon...
Back on the far platform, things had turned out far less cruel: despite the MagnaAngemon's efforts to try and get the drop on them, the tamer's movements were stopped by a legendary force:
WarGreymon. Floating at his position in the air, the empowered angel seemed to give a 'tch'. Was it more animate than the golem Andromon before, somehow? No matter - now he had to deal with that empowered water blast! Unfortunately, at this range the angel had no means to dodge it: instead, he'd have to waste one of his most powerful moves on defense!
"Gate of Destiny!"
The blade, Excalibur, quickly drew a circle, and that familiar golden gate would take form - as the Poseidon Force would propel itself forward, it would find its form twist and turn, pulled right into the gate like a vortex. It was all it could do to hold that attack, though - the angel couldn't even move in midair while he focused that defense!
"Insolent trespassers!"
"Enough words."
Was there really any more the Seraphimon could say? The Ronin had already made his resolve, as had this angel - and as frustrating as it was, as had the guard behind them. Once the fight had made itself apparent again, the remainder of the guard cleared the area, leaving the two to their spar.
And as the Ronin would realize, the Seraphimon wasn't a slouch. The first slash was simply caught, the Seraphimon squaring off against that sword with two of his own. There seemed to be more force than necessary, and yes, the blade was aimed right to the fox's head - but it was unable to pass through that cursed sword. With that information, the angel quickly changed method, using his left arm primarily as a guard, intent on deflecting strikes off to the side. Physical attempts by the Kajunemon were stalled by the right, hip checks forced to stop short unless he wanted to risk either a heavy punch to the kidney or a blade into his side.
Like this? The two were left to an extremely close range fight, one the Seraphimon found himself quite adept at. Blades clashing relentlessly in their draw, the wings behind him began to spark - and with another moment, they would surge in a large electrical burst, shocking the area immediately around himself!

Her companion's plans aside, the Shutmon was in a pinch. She was dangling in such a way that made it difficult to really give her a means to struggle. Her enemy had the high ground, had her grappled for the most part and of all things decided to talk at her. She detested individuals that spoke during combat, it made very little sense to her as a whole. If you were planning something, had something that needed to be shared in such a way that it couldn't wait that was fine.
But taunting of all things?
The poison gas was quick to seep over her form and the Shutmon inhaled quickly. Tightening her grip on the chain that wrapped around her legs. She wouldn't be able to hold this for long, but she had a technique she really didn't want to use. If it was combustible she would be able to detonate both it and the two digimon that it was near likely throwing the ladydevimon back a bit which could potentially allow the shutmon to pull herself up.
However her plans wouldn't even get into motion as not only did a powerful light catch her attention. She was greeted with the sight of mikemon flying through the air and striking the LadyDevimon. For a moment she was worried but the force of the blow was enough to drag her up onto the platform.
She was given a chance, given a moment of reprieve and she wasn't going to waste it. There was no hesitation now as the light of digivolution immediately overtook her form and wordlessly she took the greatest form she could muster.
CresGarurumon
There was a single moment where she could feel the emotions that normally came with this form. The anger, the hate, the desire. She snuffed them out with an irritated growl and slowly but surely the CresGarurumon stood up. The chain was nothing to her now, her legs spread apart easily, snapping the chain if it refused to move.
There was a dangerous glint in her eyes and the large digimon took a swing at the LadyDevimon with it's polearm. It was certainly slow for a mega tier but would an ultimate one be able to move out of the way?
"EBONY STRIKE."
Battle Log: Avoided: 'Poison gas' Via Breath-holding.
Digivolution: Shutmon to CresGarurumon
Passive: OathSworn: Any Virus Type 25% less damage to this digimon...
Attack used: Ebony Strike: Using it's polearm this digimon may empower it's next strike with an explosive amount of force. Allowing it to do a severe amount of damage. It may be used consecutively but is a slow moving attack.

The WarGreymon didn't entirely expect the winged temple guard to counter his attack in such a display of power. Such an act was to be considered the perfect defense. But like any perfect defense, it left little-to-no room for a strategic offense. What was a Roman army's testudo formation but something that granted restricted movement in exchange for protection? This was Caismeir's opening that he desired.
Attacking head-on would prove to be a fruitless attempt with that heavenly gate active as it was for the time being. Or would it? No time like the present to find out. WIth a fifty-percent chance for this plan to work, Casimeir prepared his next move while John watched with bated breath.
The WarGreymon's feet connected with the platform again, but only for a moment. Casimeir leaped toward the sky once again, this time connecting his gantlets together to form his body into a shape akin to a javelin. Other moments in this mission, Casimeir telegraphed the names of his attacks to his opponents. But not this time.
The Mega Digimon inaugurated a rotation with his body which quickly garnered speed. His body, in turn, became a golden-orange blur which gained the appearance of a tornado. A twister on the path to target MagnaAngemon's torso the instant that the Gate of Destiny disappeared and possibly run him through.
-Battle Log-
Actions: -Casimeir aims to connect his Great Tornado with the MagnaAngemon's torso if he has timed his attack correctly.
Great Tornado- Casimeir spins at tremendous speeds like a tornado and launches himself at the enemy.

Oh? It appeared the Angel could actually swing his blades. A pleasant surprise for the Fox, but not unexpected. While Kajunemon taunted and jeered at the Angel for simply using what was the Super Mega equivalent of confetti and party streamers, he fully expected him to be a somewhat competent warrior, mostly anyway. He seemed to have an odd confusion that hips and feet were completely removed from the fight based on how he was aiming his blades at the fox. Despite a proper swing left or right, momentum didn't stop. It was a constant. But for now, Kajunemon would keep stepping close, blocking every swipe made his way.
Kajunemon could feel the strikes against the blade... they were heavy, powerful and very angry. Good... Anger was not a friend of anyone except your enemy in the fight. It gave you tunnel vision and you lost focus. Kajunemon would play to this and let his sword bounce a little, slipping back as it seemed the Angel would be gaining ground. Even grunted and leaned back, feigning a bit as he jumped backwards to gain some breathing room, or so it would seem.
He would say nothing, but simply watch his opponent. Even as a Super Mega, attacking all out like that would have left even Kajunemon winded. He spun the blade as he only kept a single hand on the weapon. Any swordsman would have seen this as a huge sign of disrespect, and it might have show the Angel that the fox was toying with him. You always kept two hands on the blade. Always. It meant you were deadly serious about the fight and those who placed one hand on their weapon during a duel were usually doing it out of disrespect to their opponent, more over, to those they found to be beneath them.
And this Angel was the lowest of the low.
