Now How Do We Get Home?! (2/2)

So, they had figured out one way to reach the digital world, the problem now was how were they going to get home?. Ruben should have thought this through, now they were lost (again) in a random part of the digital world. with nothing better to do or any other good ideas, Ruben started to walk in a random direction hoping to find another exit to the digital world. Striking conversations with his partners as he walked.
As they talked they came across a very thick and humid looking jungle, Ruben had brightened as soon as he laid eyes on it. Sure it wasn't like the forest that surrounded his village but it was still just as pretty, the humidity was pretty high but Ruben didn't mind one bit. As they walked deeper into the Jungle, Ruben decided to tell his partners about his own home to pass the time, They were following a very rapid flowing river. Just when Ruben was about to tell them of a funny story involving his cousin and a Koi fish the sound of foliage rustling beside them caught their attention.
Ruben stared at the area wondering who was there, his partners however perked up, they could smell them, Digimon. Meiyoaru was the first to speak up"Ruben we must leave now!" however his warning came to late, three Digimon appeared all seemed to be champion level. Meiyoaru paled, his brother merely looked at the three other Digimon with a strained open mouth smile
The first Digimon at the front of the other two looked up at the human and twin Digimon and gave them a cruel smile "well, well, well~ look what we have here boys~" she said in a sing-song voice as she looked the child up and down. The Digimon to her right let out wolfish chuckles "what are a pathetic human and his pet Digimon doing all the way out here?" he mocked. The Digimon to her left merely glared at Ruben and his partners "is it even worth the effort? this human has just started not worth much if you ask me" he said with a huff. Ruben at this point felt really uneasy, something told him he needed to get out of here and fast. However, as if they could read Ruben's mind all three Digimon fanned out blocking any escape route for the boy, they stepped forward causing Ruben to step back and almost slip into the dangerous fast flowing river.
The Female Digimon spoke up again causing Ruben to shudder at her tone of voice" I don't think so, your not going anywhere little one~" Ruben glanced behind him before looking back at the three Digimon, there was no way he was going to be able to swim, the river was too strong. "h-hey I don't want to fight, is there anyway we can talk this out?" the soft-spoken boy said, his words only caused the only female Digimon to laugh cruelly in his face. Kido and Meiyoaru didn't like this at all, they would have jumped in front of their tamer if he wasn't holding them tightly.

K for the most part had been left unbothered by most of the digimon in the jungle; they could sense her raw power and simply didn't want to mess with it. The energy that the renamon displayed as she walked wasn't from a normal sense of simply being energetic. It was something much deeper and much more obvious to those that could tell.
She was on the crest of something amazing and those that she passed could tell. It was a threshold she had been on for quite some time but it was a threshold she was comfortable on.
This whole ordeal of having multiple cores along with having to choose one to work with was somewhat exhilarating but also immensely frustrating. But she figured she had picked correctly.
During the course of her travel in the cipher jungle she eventually ended up in the upper canopy with several bird type digimon that were more content to chatter with each other than to bother her. One or two of them made idle conversation with the renamon which she politely returned with a small smile.
A few months ago you couldn't find her dead out here; in fact you wouldn't of even found her outside of her inn! And here she was deep in the jungle hanging out with a bunch of birds. One of which seemed rather curious about what was below them. K leaned over the branch and found her brow furrowing.
What she saw and what she heard was not pleasing; the birds seemed more content to just watch this group of champion digimon stalk and ultimately threaten a human and their digimon. Both of which looked to be quite inexperienced. K let out a smooth growl and hopped off of the large branch, crashing through the branches as she digivolved all the way up to mega.
She had only intended to leap down to make a statement initially but her body was just so chock full of energy when she was in renamon it must of overreacted. It was the Jesmon in her that was ready to meet such a force with an overwhelming one.
Not even a few moments later did the massive CresGarrurumon land behind Ruben and His partners. The impact enough to cause some of the trees to shudder and wind to rush past him blowing against the three champion digimon that stood as his aggressors.
"You want to rethink this."
Her long polearm's end pounded into the ground to punctuate her statement. She was moments away from attacking and her stance made certain to let the aggressors know this.

Another Jungle. Why is it always jungles and woods wherever he went? Well, the cities he had found still didn't make sense, so at least the fact that the jungles seemed endless and always looked the same, that in itself was easy to comprehend. Maybe that's what made him gravitate towards these areas. "Hey... Escamon?" he asked the ethereal being that lurked next to him, constantly, and invisibly to all but him, a strict rule he kind of appreciated, as some company was good enough for him, even if this digimon was little more than a version of himself in a robot's body, and it bore the exact same tendencies as him. "Yes?" It replied, politely. It had none to talk to or interact with, but they had precious little to talk about, so a chance to converse was something he learned to capitalize on.
"Do you know where we're going?" Sinokira asked, glancing around the thick foliage, to which his spirit glanced around, as well. "Nope. I'm just as new at this as you are, remember?" Escamon pointed out, as he watched his human counterpart get his pant leg stuck in some foliage, and was forced to stop and tug at it for a short while. "Can't you use that map on your D-Tector?" Escamon suggested, floating to the human's side, phantasmally. Chaze Sinokira pulled out the bizarre device he still hadn't figured out, "Well, I forgot how to get that function, and this thing is so... weird I can't navigate it." He shrugged, pressing a few buttons, his head not moving at all, as he pressed buttons halfheartedly. It blipped to life, and summoned a screen, he had made it do something! Escamon peeked over his human's shoulder, "Is that the map?" "no, it's a radar, I guess. Radars are pretty cool though, kind of like a kid's spy tool." He remarked, tilting his head, ever-so-slightly, as hundreds of red blips appeared. "Is it broken?" the spirit asked, staring, as Chaze started glancing around. "No, I don't think so, I think there's just a lot of things around us, right now." He remarked, before spotting one blip that was colored differently from the rest, he shrugged, and decided to head in that direction, Escamon passively being carried along.
They came into view of a small clearing, with a running river, as well as some digimon. One looked much bigger and ornate than the others, maybe they dressed up all big and shiny to signify rank or something? He tried taking a step forward, but realized his leg was caught in the shrub he had just stepped out of. "It's always my right foot..." He noticed, as he started tugging on his trapped foot. It suddenly broke free, pitching him over, sending him tumbling down the hill outcropping the scenario, as he burst into the clearing, right in the center of both parties. He glanced around, staring at each of the beings through his reflective-lenses, before he coughed, awkwardly, and pushed himself to his feet, "I, uh... I'm sorry for, uh, dropping in like this. This must be important so, I'll just..." He started backing away from the group, "Really sorry." He apologized, again, before he spotted the little human girl, what was a little girl doing in a place like this? She must have irresponsible guardians.

It dawned on Ruben that there was no way out, this isn't how he thought he would die. His legs were shaking as the Digimon slowly stepped closer. He looked at the river behind him again, maybe if he jumped he would be able to throw his Digimon partners over to the other side, at least they would escape with their lives. He looked back at the three Digimon in front of him and flinched when the leader began to stalk forward. The butterflymon smirked "now be a good boy and hand over your little pets, and we won't hurt you.......much~" she said with a smile. Ruben scowled at her, there was no way he was doing that, over his cold dead body.
Kido and Meiyoaru looked up at their tamer with wide eyes, they had noticed how he kept glancing at the river, their hearts dropped into their stomachs when they realized what their tamer was thinking of doing. However before the twin Digimon could voice out their protest against what their tamer was about to do, or before Ruben could actually jump something huge landed behind Ruben and his partners. Out of instinct, the young boy curled around his partners as the wind rippled from the impact of said being behind them. The champion level Digimon in front of him, however, wasn't so lucky, they were sent flying back by the winds. The three champions looked up at the mega in slight fear, mostly annoyance.
Once the winds had died down Ruben stood up and checked over his partners who reassured him that they were fine, it didn't stop the pre-teen from fussing over them. it was then that Ruben turned around slowly and came face to face with the biggest Digimon he had ever seen, just by looking at her he could tell she held a lot of power. The butterflymon was the first of the three to stand up, she also seemed braver. She stomped and began to yell at the mega level Digimon" how dare you! this is our catch! stay out of our business!" she shouted, she would have ranted a bit more if another human hadn't literally rolled his way into the clearing.
The butterflymon gave Chaze a disgusted look as if his mere existence made her want to barf," this place is crawling with human filth, boys lets go!" she shouted. It happened so fast one moment the Black Gaogumon was still on the ground recovering, the next he digivolved and a mirage Gaogamon took his place. He charged at K, his claws pulled back and glowing a white color "SONIC MOVE!!" he shouted his claws becoming fast blurs. The black gargomon got between Chaze and Ruben blocking his view of the young boy, the guns that made up the trigger-happy bunny's hands clicked and rotated "you seem more promising" he said with a dark chuckle and charged after the human.
Butterflymon took advantage of Ruben facing the other mega, she grabbed him by the back of his shirt and lifted him off the ground. Ruben let out a yelp of shock, he had let his partners go when she had yanked him up into the air, lucky for them they didn't get hurt. But both Digimon yelled out in horror as they watched their tamer go higher and higher. The butterflymon chuckled and held the boy up If K tried to attack she would use the boy as a meat shield.

The reactions given by the human in front of her wasn't much of a surprise to K; it would be what she would of done carting around two child digimon after all. She'd spin her polearm around lazily and grip it with two hands; taking a wide stance. She didn't really have the patience for this sort of thing; preying on the weak or just preying on the unfortunate. She couldn't tell the reasoning behind this attack but it didn't matter.
It behooved her to step in after all. Her deep voice rumbled and she'd point accusingly with a finger at the butterflymon.
"No. I will not sit idly by when someone is attacked when I have the power to stop a foolish digimon."
The arrival of another human however drew the CresGarurumon's attention for all of a moment. Her deep blue eyes stared coldly at the two for a long awkward moment before turning her attention back to the group.
"Stay back you two."
There was a small grimace at what the butterflymon said and she'd wring her massive gauntleted hands on her polearm. The black Gaogumon surprisingly digivolved immediately to Mirage Gaogamon. With a snarl she'd immediately bring her polarm in a vicious arc.
"EBONY STRIKE."
Her aim was to knock both of the Mirage Gaogamon's hands to the side with the butt of the polearm while using the blade to gut them like a fish. Immediately the most prominent threat was the other mega. Once that was dealt with she could deal with both the gargomon and Butterflymon....

Huh. It seemed that he was wrapped up into this. He should have learned by now that curiosity always leads to a fight. Every time. Without fail. Escamon couldn't complain, however, as it was the only time he found himself in the material world, and this seemed to be a good time to do just that. "Chaze, we should switch", Escamon suggested. The two referred to their transformation as "Switching", as their personalities and bodies switched places, but seeing as how the two were virtually the same person, that didn't really mean much in terms of differences, except one can fight.
"Right, right." Sinokira agreed as he started focusing on his left hand, as the world shifted around him, and a band of energy surrounded his open hand. He then pulled up his device in his other hand, as he reared his fractal coded hand to the right, before clicking the scan button on his D-Tector, and he scanned the energy. Transforming and fighting again, huh? While he disliked violence, at least it was relatively simple to understand. His body was forced to throw out his limbs, as machinery and metal pieces surrounded him, before closing in on him, and in a flash of light, and the roar of an engine, a humanoid being that closely resembled the likes of Justimon or Crusadermon, however composed entirely of machine and a simple flexible material covering circuitry around his joints, creating the illusion of organic material. His right arm, however, held no mimicry of organic life, as it was compromised of a long and cubic arm, with three powerful fingers coming from the end. This arm resembled a mix between Justimon's Accel and Critical arms, but with more of a modern construction design to it.
Immediately Escamon's crusher arm reached out and grasped at Blackgargomon's left arm, yanking him closer, as he threw out his fist, aiming at BlackGargomon's stomach. If this fist were to land, it would have the strength that you'd assume from his human size, not as much as you would expect for such a massive wind-up. "Piston Punch." He declared, as the piston on his elbow pumped into his forearm, delivering a close-ranged shockwave straight into his target, adding the superhuman power that was to be expected from the initial strike. This force would be enough to send Blackgargomon flying a short distance into the air.

The Mirage Gaogamon snarled when his claws where butted away by the other mega level Digimon's weapon. He growled and managed to evade the move made to stab him by sidestepping to the right, to K's credit however the blade managed to nick his shoulder. The Mega level Digimon snarled and slammed his left hand on the weapon slamming it down. His right hand began to glow a blue color, he then charged forward his right claw raised and slashed down "QUICK CLAW!"
The black gargomon was taken aback by the humans light show when it cleared a Digimon had taken the humans place. He was so surprised and left wondering what had happened that he had allowed his guard to drop, the other Digimon had grabbed him and pulled him forward. Luckily, however, he managed to snap out of his shock when he realized that the other had aimed an attack on him. The overgrown rabbit smiled and using the momentum of the pull he managed to grab the arm pulling him and frontflip over the fist. He sailed over the spirit user and using his weight he pulled the other Digimon over and once on his feet he pulled him down, aiming to slam the spirit user into the ground.
Ruben was terrified, no he wasn't scared of heights, he was afraid of the Digimon that had him in her clutches. He watched as his partners got smaller and smaller, and judging by the horrified looks they were giving things were going from bad to worse. The butterflymon laughed cruelly and flew right over the fast flowing river, she watched in sick amusement at the In-training level Digimon futile attempts at trying to rescue their human. Finally, Meiyoaru had enough the little snake like Digimon snarled angerly "PUT OUR FRIEND DOWN RIGHT NOW!!" he shouted with every bit of anger he had in his tiny body. The champion level Digimon merely laughed and shrugged "ok~" she simply said and much to their horror dropped Ruben into the fast flowing current "RUBEN!!" both Digimon shouted and ran after their tamer as he fought against the current. In seconds Ruben was pulled under, he kicked and fought to keep his head above water, he was barely able to hear his partners voices over the roar of the water. Already he was being dragged farther away from the battle site.
