Round 2: Sabers' Edge [Alicia vs. Ban]

This was a concerning situation to be sure. She wasn’t entirely sure how well she’d hold up under his strength if she took a direct and decisive blow. Now the sense of unease, despite her domination of the early parts of the match, made complete sense. She needed multiple attacks to bring him to this point. He could likely do the same with a single solid strike. As a result, she was no where near safe. Not until he was truly defeated or made to surrender.
And of course she was well aware of what the best defense was. She was entirely expecting some type of attack to come out and try to contest hers and force her to abandon her strikes. Or to take advantage of the brief period she would theoretically be open for right after the attack, being this close to him.
His reactions were quick, after he adjusted the grip on his blade to let him get it into defensive position faster. At first it looked like he would try parry and open up her guard. Then his true intentions became clear as he twisted away and around, showing his own agility as well, which could be expected from a big cat-like Digimon species. She may have nicked him on the back, but the damage was superficial and wouldn’t mean much in the long run.
Despite his speed, her eyes tracked him diligently and narrowed as he lashed a leg out into a side kick towards her. She was glad she was wearing a mask at the moment. He wouldn’t be able to see the predatory smile that graced her lips. This was going to hurt, but she’d be able to capitalize and make him pay for every inch he got on her.
She pushed further and started to twist her own body to face him, before slamming one of her feet down to cement her position. The extra push after her lunge gave just enough room to make this work. The lion’s foot connected, but very much off center, his massive power carrying the strike through to slide off her side. Alicia had to grit her teeth at the spike of pain that erupted, but she was stubborn. It would take more than this to dissuade and distract her.
Before he even had a chance to pull his leg back, Alicia began her counter, wrapping her free arm around his extended leg and pulling it tight against her body, locking it there for the moment. With his center of gravity adjusted to let him kick her, even a feline’s fabled balance wouldn’t be able to compensate what was about to happen next. The ninja dragon turned into the front of Ban’s leg, using the humanoid structure of the Digimon’s leg against him to pull him off his grounded foot. With a quick transfer of her shadow blade into being wrapped up by her tail, she was free to lean back and use both arms to hold Ban’s leg, using him as a counter-balance to let her spin in place, taking him along for the ride.
“Haaaaaa!” With the howl, she heaved up, using the rotational force she built up with the quick spin to toss Ban into the air above her, where the feline would have no evasion options. Throwing a foot back to catch herself, she fished out a shuriken from one of her pockets, breathing darkness onto it and making a shadow-y weapon four feet from point to point, spinning like a buzzsaw.
“Shadow Steel!” Her attack began, the ShadowArmsdramon hurled the potent, guided weapon at the airborne Leomon, letting him fall into it. How would the great lion respond to this one?
Battle Log
Alicia takes a strong, but grazing, blow from the Crushing Kicks. She’s hurting from it, but far from out as it was the first hit she took in the entire match.
She counters back by grabbing the extended leg and yanking Ban suddenly into a spinning throw over her head, giving her just enough time to prep a Shadow Steel and throw it at him as he falls.
Shadow Steel - ShadowArmsdramon pulls one of her shurikens out and breaths darkness onto it, growing it into a large phantom four feet across. This phantom star is then thrown at the target and can be somewhat adjusted in trajectory, and capable of flying a moderate distance before its power fades away. (Example, opponent turns and runs to a diagonal away from the star. It can be turned to catch them. Sharp changes in position, such as rolling directly to one side or the other, is enough to make this attack miss.)

Ban had expected his agile opponent to retreat, maybe attempt to flank him, or utilize some other technique with the shadows, but instead she somewhat took the impact and gripped his leg. He had intended for the kick to create some space, so he could continue pressuring her as his kick was also meant for winding her, but she had chosen a somewhat reckless method of countering his move. "Humans are indeed full of surprises" He thought to himself, as he had no choice but to be spun.
He tucked his arms around his head, in order to prevent any bludgeoning damage to be inflicted to his head, as that would lead to him losing his most valuable asset in this fight, his sharp instincts. If damage to his head would happen, chances are his ability to process information might be hampered.
He was thrown upwards, which no doubt meant his opponent had a plan for him. He tucked his legs, as he spun, mid-air, before he threw out his legs, when his head was aimed at his foe. He spotted the blade instantly, as it ripped towards him. He could have sworn he spotted it curve towards him, but he didn't have enough time to tell. He had no chance of evading this attack, as his mobility was one of his unfortunately weak points. Regardless, he had other means of defending from ranged attacks. He threw up his left arm, sheathing his blade with his right. His defending arm started glowing, as he called upon his inner fire to conjure a barrier.
"Beast King's Shield!" He roared, in response to her assault, causing her blade to spark against his energy barrier, causing a clash of energies, her darkness and steel and Ban's will and power.; Ban's barrier visibly cracked, from the force of the struggle. After a moment of this, her technique slowed, slightly, before Ban shifted his defending arm, turning his wrist towards the shuriken, as he swiped his arm, tearing through the dark energy, smothering it and crushing the physical shuriken with his mighty fist.
His energy barrier dispersed as he landed on his legs, which bent to compensate for the impact and his left arm held outwards. He stood back up, returning his arm to his side, dropping the crumpled remains of the shuriken, which resembled some crushed origami at this point, before he returned to his stance, gripping his blade, once more, and extending his left arm, slightly, while his fist balled back up, ready for another round, and encouraging her to lead on this next round, as well as the rounds previously.
Ability Used: Beast King’s Shield (forearms glow with energy and repel energy and close ranged attacks, endures up to one high-damaging attack,)
Durations: Beast King's Shield 1/1
Cooldowns: Beast King's Shield 0/3
Active Passives: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, current attack bonus: slightly lower than moderate)
Summary: Ban blocked Alicia's Shadow Steel with his Beast King's Shield and landed safely.

It was only fair, though. In the beginning Alicia had taken complete and total control of the fight, leaving Ban purely on the reactive side and had made very effective use of that. By shifting forms, she allowed him the chance to press the aggressive stance, see what he could do beyond carefully evade and block her attacks. It had been very informative.
It’s why Alicia had gone for such a reckless play. It was time to make a round changing move. It was time to close this out as soon as possible, before she ate an attack that would knock her out right then and there. Her Shadow Steel was fated to fail, for one reason or another. Either he would blast it with Fist of the Beast King and try to push extra damage through to surprise her, or he would nullify the attack with Beast King’s Shield.
Both options worked to Alicia’s advantage, and the situation she put him in did not allow any other means of defense. The possibility that he would answer her recklessness with some of his own was not lost on her, but from what she had seen from the lion so far it was an unlikely occurrence. When he landed and raised himself, though... Alicia would be no where to be seen.
Where had she gone? In a simplistic arena like this there was nothing to take cover behind. There was nothing to hide her tracks with, yet there were no tracks to be seen. Had she become invisible? Someone who didn’t know her abilities might believe it possible. She was a ninja currently.
Alicia knew what had happened though, having done it as she silently hovered a distance away and behind from Ban, beating her wings only as hard as she absolutely needed to to stay aloft, yet be as silent as possible. The Shadow Steel was fated to be nullified. But doing damage wasn’t it’s purpose. The semi-automated attack was meant to distract Ban, and it did that perfectly. He had to divert most of his focus to the attack, leaving a very clear opening for Alicia to dash and take flight, swooping around to Ban’s blindspot.
Now it was time to strike. Shifting her body, she started gliding to the Lion, adjusting her grip on her shadow copy Lion King Sword. It was a reverse handed grip, much like Ban had used earlier against. Another tilt of her wings sent her into a spiral that was steadily building in rotational speed.
“Night Shredder!” Alicia howled out as she pumped her wings to accelerate to her maximum speed. She had made herself into a drill of darkness and steel, baring down on Ban quite rapidly. And she had done everything she could to minimize the time he had to react to her surprise attack.
What would he do? Would he dodge and counter, giving her time to use her momentum to launch herself out of the way? Would he turn and fire off his ranged attack, even after Alicia had revealed her own ranged ability, and risk it being shredded by her darkness and copied sword? What would he do?
Battle Log:
Alicia gets moving as soon as Ban uses Beast King’s Shield to defend himself, slipping from sight and into the air.
Setting up her copy sword to enhance the attack, Alicia dives at Ban and waits as long as possible to engage her Night Shredder attack, aimed at Ban’s back.
Night Shredder - Deploying the gauntlet claws, ShadowArmsdramon dives upon the target from the night sky, twisting and tearing at the opponent

Ban's sharp eyes instantly noticed his foe's absence, and not seeing her anywhere in his peripheral vision, he glanced up, for a moment, seeing her nowhere upwards either, he concluded there was only one possible place for her to be. He pivoted, in place, as she called out her attack. His right fist glowed with his burning energy, before his eyes noticeably widened, as she was much closer than he anticipated, already mere feet away from him, and throwing herself into a frenzied spin attack, her blade at the epicenter. He grit his teeth, preparing himself for the incoming impact, intent on seeing his counterattack through.
She slammed into his chest, towards the left, close to his shoulder, plunging her blade into him, and it's rotation twisting the blade deeper inside. He stamped his feet and roared, defiantly, in response, trying to grab at her, but a stabbing pain forced his arm to stop, in that moment. That attack had definitely caused some laceration, his left arm would be less useful arm, in order to hold her in place with his left arm, as his right threw a point-blank energy burst at her, "Fist of the Beast King!" He roared, the bloom of energy forming a lion's head directly on top of his fist, as he aimed the attack straight at the spinning mass of darkness that was his foe.
He had taken a nasty strike from that spinning blow, as it was a direct hit, and he had little armor to use to defend from this. Despite this, his opponent's wild spinning would make his normally agile foe much easier to hit, due to the inherent recklessness of the attack. He cursed himself, he reacted the same way he would if he was fighting Sealsdramon, and as a result he underestimated her range, and took a massive wound, as a result. He wouldn't be surprised if that wound would scar his Leomon form, and it was almost amusing that it came from what was virtually his own sword. However, his body still functioned, which meant he could still fight, therefore, this battle was nowhere near over for him.
Ability Used: Fist of The Beast King (Fires an aura in the shape of a lion’s head from his fist, heavy impact, Cool down: 2 posts)
Cooldowns: Beast King's Shield 1/3 Fist of The Beast King 0/2
Active Passives: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, current attack bonus: higher than moderate)
Summary: Ban turned a second too late, intending to counter her before she hit him, but she had already closed the distance and he took the brunt of the attack. He then reacted by firing his Fist of The Beast King anyway, like he originally intended, just at point-blank range, believing he can hit her due to her currently spinning.

Exactly as expected. Given what he had available, he had reacted exactly as Alicia had expected him to. The logical reaction was that if the opponent was not in immediate view they were likely preparing to attack you from behind. Against a similarly grounded opponent Ban would’ve likely reacted in time. But Alicia’s wings added an extra possible location that Ban had to check before coming to the realization of her true intentions. That extra glance had bought her the precious time she needed to score a powerful hit. Of course, that left her to deal with the Fist of the Beast King coming her way. At such a close range, even the fastest reaction speeds would be left unable to deal with it effectively. “Shadow Steel!” Which begged the question of how, right after she had landed her strike, she was already acting again to mitigate her damages. His left hand grabbed onto her, forcing her spin to slow as her steel and darkness ground against his palm. She let go of her sword to grab his arm in turn, and wrapped her tail around his wrist, the additional grip halting her spin completely. She was already breathing on a readied shuriken, creating the massive shadow blades upon it and interposing it between herself and his energy attack. The two energy clashed, and the detonation sent Alicia flying back, some quick tail work in the clash also letting her pry her shadow sword free from his chest. Her Shadow Steel had gaping holes in it from taking the brunt of the Fist of the Beast King, but it had done what she needed it to. Her form smoked badly as she couldn’t completely repel such a powerful attack, but she kept herself in the fight, still very much determined and confident. Even as she skidded back, she was mending the darkness with another breath, and hurled the shuriken in Ban’s general direction, letting it’s semi-homing ability take care of making sure it was on course. There was some chatter that started going on in Alicia’s subconscious though, low enough that with her so focused on the battle she wouldn’t hear them.
”This match is basically over, at this juncture.” Sol mused, nodding to himself.
”That’s... a rather hasty judgement, Sol... And entirely unlike you. Ban’s far from down and out. He’s too stubborn to drop that easily.” Kisara quipped back with a quirked eyebrow. ”Care to explain why you think its so obvious that it’s done, and why you’ve judged Alicia to be victorious at this point?
”Observe the last few exchanges again, does anything stand out to you about them?” The dragon spirit intoned with an gesture of his head toward a memory-assisted ‘instant replay’ of sorts.
”Alicia took a bad blow, but managed to turn it around and mostly come out ahead on the exchange. Is there something I’m missing?”
”Yes... The last two exchanges, Ban did not choose his course of action. They were dictated to him by the scenarios he was forced into.” Sol smirked as Kisara jerked back in a shocked and clueless expression, silent. So he elaborated. ”When he was flung into the air he was unable to develop much, if any, real physical power. His options were restricted to the Fist and the Shield. By using Shadow Steel as her pursuit attack, Alicia weighted Ban’s logical choice to the one that favored her more, the Shield. The Shield required more of Ban’s attention to keep the energy solid enough to protect him, giving her more time to set up for her sneak attack.”
”O... kay...? I can see that much, but how did she dictate to him ‘Use Fist of the Beast King now’? Kisara asked back, blinking. What was the dragon’s point here...?
”Her use of an extremely reckless attack, plus the nature of how sneak attacks work, made Fist of the Beast King an obvious and logical choice. If someone is going for a sneak attack, they would generally only attempt such if they believed that the enemy was completely unaware of their location. Ban is smart enough to quickly sort everything out and come to the right conclusion of where Alicia is. If he knows where she is, Fist of the Beast King’s potency is increased dramatically, because you would ideally catch the sneak attacker off guard and otherwise completely unprepared, meaning they would normally eat the power attack head on and probably be knocked out right away. Alicia anticipated that she would be discovered early, and as she was using Night Shredder, she was already setting up to prepare Shadow Steel as an impromptu wall. She was reacting to his attack before he even knew he was going to use that attack.”
”... Are you trying to say...?” The ice maiden trailed off, eyes widening.
Sol chuckled and smirked. ”Alicia has taken complete control of the flow of battle at this juncture, and has gotten a hold of some of Ban’s trains of thought. Ban’s only hope of winning right now is to try and get in Alicia’s head in turn and throw off her rhythm somehow. Either by breaking expected patterns or by throwing out some last ditch trump card he’d been saving until now. Alicia may be taking damage here and there now, but she’s mitigating her own damage while doing her best to maximize the damage inflicted on Ban... At this rate he will fall first if Alicia can maintain the rhythm.”
”He’s good, though. It shouldn’t be that hard to do...” Kisara added with a hum.
”It’s harder than you think. Having been on both ends of this rhythm before, it is fiendishly difficult to set up but maintaining it is easier. Preventing yourself from falling into such a rhythm is only somewhat difficult... but actually escaping it gets exponentially harder as time goes on, especially if your opponent is as clever and canny as Alicia. The dragon spirit hummed, returning his attention to the battle at hand. Would Ban surprise him by breaking out? Or was he already too tightly held in Alicia’s grasp? Battle Log:
Alicia uses Ban’s own left arm to grind her Night Shredder to a halt much faster than would otherwise be possible, and gets a Shadow Steel up between her and the FotBK
She gets blasted back by the energy attack, and is scorched fairly heavily by the enhanced attack, and counters back by fixing the Shadow Steel at additional energy cost and hurling it at Ban.
As a side note, Sol and Kisara converse on the match so far, specifically the last two turns of both fighters. Click the spoiler tab if you wish to see their talk.

She had somewhat blocked his attack. That was good, it would be disappointing if that moment was the deciding blow. He exhaled, slowly, for a moment, before he set off, running. At the moment, his strongest asset at the moment was his legs, and he was familiar with this technique of hers, by now, throwing off it's momentum was the priority in his new assault plan. He drew his blade, and spun it, once more, on it's end ring, into an overhanded grip, before he threw his blade, from above his head, towards his foe's projectile, the force of his throw forcing the blade to clash with hers, however, it wasn't enough to stop the shuriken dead, let alone destroy it. Regardless, that wasn't important, or what he intended to pass.
King Lion bounced upwards, while Shadow Steel was forced downwards. Ban seized this moment, pouncing forward, clearing the technique, it's tracking capabilities momentarily disabled due to the opening his sword had made. Speaking of, Ban stretched out his good arm, grasping at his blade's handle, before he tucked his body in, after retrieving his blade. He spun mid-air, the momentum of his run carrying him as he outstretched both of his legs, aiming a massive dropkick towards his foe.
She was predicting his movements, and reacting accordingly, but she was only predicting how he would react to her attacks, so now it would be prudent to pressure her, especially since she was still reeling from the force of his own attacks. Of course, she might be able to predict this action, so thinking outside the box was absolutely necessary, if he desired victory. He had heard tales of human ingenuity, and experiencing it first-hand elevated this fight to something incredibly valuable to Ban, as a means of learning more about humans, as well as just how well they served as warriors.
Ability Used: Crushing Kick (Kicks opponent fiercely, no cooldown),
Cooldowns: Beast King's Shield 2/3 Fist of The Beast King 1/2
Active Passives: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, current attack bonus: higher than moderate)
Summary: Ban rushes after Alicia, throwing his sword at her Shadow Steel, in order to knock it off-course, and allow him to jump over it, catch his sword, and aim a drop kick at her.

((OOC: I'm not late <.<"))
She’d been a little hopeful for that one, she wasn’t going to lie. But Ban was easily as stubborn and crafty as she was, throwing his sword to knock the dark-infused weapon off course. That had given him enough time to leap over it, forcing the Shadow Steel to simply fizzle out as it lost its target. Now he was airborne and, having plucked his blade out of the air, was coming at her with the mother of all drop kicks, an attack she couldn’t afford to take.
Fortunately, having leaped into the air like that, Ban was one hundred percent committed to this. So the ninja dragon ducked down and launched herself forward, rolling under the great lion as he came crashing down, his foot impacting nothing but earth. Alicia rose again behind him, their backs to each other, as she took the moment to speak up.
“Our match is reaching it’s conclusion, Ban...” She smiled in anticipation. What an amazing battle. Of course she certainly wished to come out victorious, but against someone as strong and wise as Ban? She could accept the potential of losing to someone like him. “Only a few more exchanges, and one of us will fall. Who that’ll be, I do not know. With that in mind...”
Light began to pierce out through her form, the ShadowArmsdramon steadily being enveloped by it. Was she doing it? Was she pulling out her third form? "Clad in sun-drenched Steel, I stand as Light's Champion... Slide Evolution!" Yes, she most certainly was. A prismatic orb swallowed her up, before she sliced through it with a serrated broadsword.
In place of the ninja stood a noble knight of draconic persuasion, something that was inherent to all of her forms thus far. With blade in one hand, she reached behind herself and pulled off a sturdy shield, holding it in front of her. She needed stopping power to bring this warrior down, and ShadowArmsdramon just wouldn’t cut it. This form, however, could.
“SolSaberdramon!”
Ban had come at her with everything he had, too... it wouldn’t sit right in her gut if she didn’t reciprocate it by pulling all of her aces out.
Battle log:
Alicia evades the incoming Crushing Kick by using her speed to quickly dive and roll underneath Ban during his jump.
Taking the opening, she shifts to her final champion form, SolSaberdramon. This battle has approached its final moments.

He could tell she was ducking the attack the moment he cleared the shuriken, so he bent his legs, slightly, and shifted to grip his blade, it seemed this exchange will be finished with blades. He tucked his legs and his head in, once more spinning in the air, before he slammed his feet into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust from the dry arena floor. After a moment, he stood, as his opponent started speaking, he allowed her to finish, out of courtesy. He stood, facing his back towards her, in return, his eyes scanning for any sudden movements from his rival.
He felt no shame being pushed as far as he was, this warrior had shown ample amounts of quick thinking and strategy, immediately picking up on his strengths and weaknesses almost immediately, and acting on leading him into numerous traps, using his predictable strategies and fighting style. In truth, there was little separating Ban from any normal monstrous champion level, save for his experience, and even then this match was becoming too close for comfort, the numerous wounds she had inflicted on him from the first few rounds of the match were starting to take their toll, even his mighty limbs found themselves heavier than before.
Unfortunately, his body had it's limits, as much as he pushed himself to surpass them, often it lead to him hurting himself in the long run. If this battle were against numerous consecutive opponents, his main strategy would lead him too exhausted, and he needed some way to preserve his stamina, despite how much he has to start with, he couldn't keep making things so close.
Ban didn't speak, as he had nothing to say, in response, he simply turned towards his foe's new face, and drew his blade, pointing his fist at her. He then took a step forward with his left, immediately balancing on that foot, as he spun, bringing up his knee, about to extend it straight out as a hooking kick, but instead of that, he let his leg continue moving, as he spun his torso, driving his back-handed blade towards his opponent's face, ending in a strong thrust towards her.
Ability Used: Ability Used: Beast Sword (Slashes with his “Lion King” Sword, No cooldown)
Cooldowns: Beast King's Shield 3/3 Fist of The Beast King 2/2
Active Passives: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, current attack bonus: higher than moderate)
Summary: Ban let her finish, before he feinted a kick when he was really aiming a thrust towards her body.

The knight dragon smiled softly as she began to turn to him. She received no response from him, but certainly hadn’t anticipated any. He was the type to only speak when necessary in a fight, which was honestly a good idea. Fortunately he was as honorable as he appeared to be, letting her finish speaking before moving to strike once more.
They were face to face again as Ban made his move. Alicia raised her new shield a bit, studying the great lion’s moves carefully. His abilities were phenomenal, there was no questioning that. He had tried to misdirect her more than once, and had even started the fight with a significant effort to trick her into underestimating his strength or making her panic and make a mistake. Had he succeeded in those first few gambits, she suspected this fight would’ve been much shorter than it actually was.
He pushed on, looking to be trying to kick her. With his physical strength, even her armor wouldn’t be able to fully resist the strike. There was just one problem with this latest misdirection. He had drawn his blade just enough that one who’s very element was Steel, so in tune with such weaponry as a result, could not possible mistake the slight grind of metal against the sheath, or the glint of slight from polished steel.
For a moment it could be thought that Ban was just setting up for a follow up, but Alicia knew. Neither of them had the stamina to afford planning strikes one to three moves later. They were in a position where each had to make the here and now count for everything these moments were worth. And the Leomon’s reverse grip offered his blade much more stopping power then his foot, focused along a much thinner surface.
She didn’t flinch at all as his leg came across, seeing it land and set his stance out of the corner of her eye as he applied all the potential energy he’d developed, driving as much of it into his oncoming blade as he could. It came as a thrust, which would maximize it’s destructive force by condensing it over a single point rather than a long edge. She took a split second to assess where the strike was going. Then she lunged forward. Steel grated on Steel as Alicia shifted the shield just a bit, hitting it’s edge on the edge of Ban’s sword, nudging it off course.
Sparks flew further down, as she allowed the blade to come close enough to scrape her draconic skull helmet, but not bite any further down. She pushed up as close to him as she dared, leaving only about an inch of space between them as she looked up at him in the eye. Her leg lashed out to kick Ban’s right leg, the one he’d used for the feint kick, out of position. It was a move that would only disrupt him for a second at most, two if she was lucky. But even if he noticed the return kick, his reaction would buy her the time she needed.
She only needed half a second after all. Her wing plates began to glow brilliantly, orbs of energy coalescing on them.
“Steel Prominence.”
With that declaration, she fired several beams of brilliant light at him at point blank. She knew she would emerge from the likely resulting blast fairly well safe and sound. The lion, on the other hand, might not be so lucky.
Battle Log
Alicia tracks Ban’s movements carefully, ignoring the potential kick and noticing the blade coming at her.
She then charges forward, diverting his blade with the edge of her shield and gets as close to him as possible, trying to disrupt him or at least make him react to that in order to remain stable.
Finally, Alicia launches Steel Prominence at point blank range.

She had reacted as he suspected, a driving thrust like that would be virtually impossible to take head on, so she parried it with her shield, as he expected. The moment the momentum behind his blade stopped completely, he released his blade, rearing his fist back, as his blade clattered against her armor as it fell, no force suitable to penetrate the metal held in it as it fell to the ground.
Her foot slammed into his shin, as he tried planting down on the ground, forcing his step a bit further back, however, he immediately thought of buying more time, as she approached very close to him, he threw his head at hers, aiming to collide the two, to potentially stun her as she fired her blast. He stared into her eyes, his inner fire reaching a peak temperature, as his fist glowed with a familiar fiery energy. He let out a roar; "Fist of The beast King!" at the same time as she announced her energy attack.
In a mere moment, the two were consumed by a dual colored explosion, the color of silver-white and yellow-orange energy flashing brilliantly, as Ban was thrown back from the point-blank combination of explosions. His whole body bore smoking wounds, as he slid on his back, back several feet, his bulky body skidding through the sandy ground of the arena. After a moment, he stopped, gasping out in pain.
He lay still, for moments on end, before he moved, once more, rolling over, and shakily placing his good arm on the ground, shifting his weight so it rested on his arm, as well as his own face, as he ground his skull into the dirt as he dragged his left foot to it's knee. He slumped onto his new source of balance, before balancing the weight distribution between the two, his eyes searching for his foe, through the smoke of their combined attacks.
Ability Used: Fist of The Beast King (Fires an aura in the shape of a lion’s head from his fist, heavy impact, Cool down: 2 posts)
Cooldowns: Fist of The Beast King 0/2
Active Passives: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, current attack bonus: extremely high)
Summary: Ban dropped his sword so he could gather energy in his fist. He took the kick to his leg, but he tries to headbutt her, and clash their skulls against one another, before firing his Fist of The Beast King at the same time as her Steel Prominence attack, creating a much bigger and more powerful explosion as a result. Ban took heavy damage and is unable to stand.

The knight’s eyes widened a bit as Ban dropped his sword, countering back by trying to headbutt her to buy enough time for his own attack. It did delay her Steel Prominence just long enough that the two blasts were set to collide in what might be the most destructive clash of the tournament so far, and was absolutely the most destructive of such for this match.
For a moment, both of them were obscured in smoke and debris, before the great lion was flung back from the clash, still for a moment but rising up once more. At least, partially. It was clear to those watching that Ban was more or less on his last leg, as it were.
Alicia was no where to be seen still, though. Everyone had to wait for the smoke to clear. The sight was one that might or might not have been expected. She was certainly in bad shape from the blast, entire chunks of armor destroyed from the blast. Her skull-helmet, cracked from the earlier headbutt, fell from her head and let her face be revealed again, surprisingly similar to her human self if more draconically inclined.
Her shield, also, was in shambles compared to it’s original, pristine condition. It was pitted with holes now and wouldn’t be protecting her from much else. In fact, it might even be so far damaged as to fall apart at the slightest nudge. Her blade, meanwhile, was driven tip first into the ground, the SolSaberdramon leaning against it for support.
There was significant trenches in the ground extending in front of her feet, showing the she too had been sent skidding backward and had dug in deep to withstand the blast she couldn’t avoid. She might not’ve fallen... but she certainly didn’t look like she was in any condition to push the battle onward either.
“Well...” she coughed a bit as she spoke up, smiling. “That’s... not quite how I saw that ending... Hell of a good match, Ban...”
She seemed content to hold her ground though, bracing on her sword and dropping the damaged shield. What would happen now, though, with no clear winner? Certianly, Ban looked in worse shape, but Alicia only appeared better than she actually was by remaining on her feet. Her legs quaked under her body, and her breath came in heavy pants. She certainly wouldn’t be continuing any further either.
Battle log:
Alicia, after the massive clash of energies, is left with only barely enough strength to stand.
((OOC: Ban’s player and I chatted over Discord. We agree that due to our final attacks, the match ended in a Double KO))

There was a moment of utter silence from the crowd as it seemed like everyone was holding their breaths for the outcome. Even the commentators were watching with baited breath for the result, leaning over their desk to see better. Then, the dust cleared, and it had seemed that both participants had fallen from that attack!
"INCREDIBLE!" Bellamy shouted. "Both competitors have been taken down by that final hit! So, is this a draw, Luke?"
"If only, both of them deserve that victory" Luke sighed. "For now, all that's left is for the healers and medics to get them off the battlefield and back to working condition. While that's happening, we'll have to confer with the match judges to see who won on points..."
"Oh boy" Bellamy sighed. This was gonna be a toughie. There was no effective means of providing for ties in this tournament after all.
Alicia had excellent battle creativity and strategy, and controlled the flow of the battle to a terrifying degree. Despite all of this, Ban used his attacks quite well and his steadfast determination helped him weather the storm until he could force a double KO.
Very, very narrow victory, with both sides landing an almost even number of effective attacks. However, despite the narrow outcome, it can't be denied that Alicia's effective domination of the battle would mean that in terms of points, she has the advantage in that regard.
So, the winner by a nose is therefore Alicia!
To acknowledge the double KO, both players get the same prize money. Alicia gets 1500 bits! Ban gets 1500 bits!
