"15 minutes."
That was the allotted time for Talias break and therefore the amount of time the twins had to play in the park - luckily, it was still fairly early in the morning, that hour when people were settling into their offices and kids were just getting to school so there wasn't really anyone in the area or on the playground, therefore the twins had a bit of freedom to roam for once - to be honest the blonde felt bad about constantly shoving them into a bag or keeping them locked in the house but (unfortunately) the more time she spent with the little rugrats the more she got attached to them and therefore more protective. "Okay Talia!" Alas, the fact they were bonding didn't mean the girl totally felt comfortable leaving them unsupervised in her apartment, and it wasn't like they were dogs she could put in a crate, they were way smarter than that, so the best option she'd found was to take them to work where they could hide and play all day in her office - heck the desk sorta helped to hide them.
"Whats this?" Upon exploring the playground equipment, Moonmon had come across what looked a long flat bar with an offset wheel in the center, which made the bar tip when the digimon jumped on it. "Whee!" Curious, Koromon, who never did anything half-assed, immediately pounced on the other side of the teether, sending his sister flying up into the air, causing Talia to panic for a second until the tiny digimon floated safely back down. "Can you guys not play rough pl-" Before she could finish Moonmon had hopped on the perch, making it Koromons turn to go bulletins upwards. And with an exasperated loss of patience (and throw of hands) sigh the blonde retreated to a bench with her laptop to working on some code drafts being sent to the project manager that week.
To be honest, her biggest fear with the twins in her life was their presence distracting her from her work but surprisingly they were pretty low-key as long as they had one another to keep company - they definitely had a unique dynamic between them, she'd give them that, the kind that only two beings cut from the same DNA could relate to - well as far as Talia knew that seemed to be the case. It was odd though, they seemed to have no idea where they were from or how they were born, as if they'd just...appeared out of nowhere - but nothing was just born from thin air or negative space right? As a computer scientist, you had a tendency to believe that there was logic and reasoning behind every atom and analysis, that nothing couldn't truly be explained with a little work, which was why these so called digimon fascinated her.
Lost in her work, she failed to notice at first the empty teeter totter, the grinding metal pulling her from her train of thought as she reminded herself of their short break time window. And upon processing the fact they'd run off without permission for the umpteenth time, a figurative angry vein started to form at the corner of the blonde's mind. "Idiots!" Tch, one day she was just going to let them be kidnapped or eaten! Poor Talia, she didn't quite know that it wasn't the twins fault, that they would naturally be drawn toward a strong digimon. "Koromonnn, we can't talk to strangers!" "But its a digimon Moonmon, right on that bench!"

So here she was, relaxing for the most part in the park. Enjoying herself what she could say was the first of many books that she had procured from some human institution known as a library. They were skeptical of her at first when she wanted to take some books to read as she didn't have a card, but after quickly registering for whatever the librarians wanted her to they seemed marginally less bothered by the idea of her taking some.
It was a weird process they had in comparison to the libraries in the digital world. She had only been to one proper library there and it was just a whole bunch of information on pads and such that you could look over if you wanted. Here? They had books upon books. She couldn't even wrap her head around how many there were.
The shutmon shifted just a little bit on the bench, resting one of her large hands on her knee. She wasn't bothering with the holosuit at the moment as it was still earlier enough in the day where no one was really about in the park. As most people were heading to work or school; which gave her some time to herself in her proper form. Sure this meant her stark white fur, her somewhat faded clothing and red cloak stuck out a bit. But if someone asked and she wasn't prepared she could quickly explain herself. Especially if it was someone that was part of the human force called the 'police'.
The digimon was maybe three or four chapters in when she could just.. sense something. It was strong enough to make her pause for a moment; usually she was only really able to sense digimon and nothing else. So there must be at least one nearby. She just hoped it didn't decide to stir up trouble. She'd gaze around and find her eyes settling on not one, but two digital denizens. Far enough away from her to be out of reach, but close enough to where she could easily hear them.
Mulling over her options for a few brief moments, she'd gingerly give them a wave before closing her book properly. She tilted her head a little bit and glanced to the side where joseph had been napping earlier. The guilimon was of course still passed out in the tree much to her relief so when she addressed the other two he likely wouldn't really react unless she called for him. With a snort he'd just roll a little bit on the branch before going back into the motions of sleep.
The shutmon on the other hand? Decided to entertain the two in front of her. Power still seeped from her words in bunches and the shutmon for the most part sounded on a different plane entirely. As she was still having problems regulating the sheer amount of energy she now was graced with. Even with all the power coursing through her words, there was still that tint of helpful and motherly gentleness that you would expect from some older mons.
"Hello you two. New Arrivals? Or is your tamer around here somewhere?"

K mentioning the word tamer made the twins realize they had yet again gone astray from their yellow haired human despite countless promises they wouldn't. "D-do you think she'll be mad at us sissy? We're not supposed to run away!" Nerves were in the pink legless digimon's voice, wonder if he'd experience what he'd come to known as the wrath of Talia, aka lots of bark and no bite. "Nah, don't worry about it, we didn't run away, we came to check out that digimon! There's a difference!" Still, Koromon had the feeling their tamer would be angry at them for moving where she couldn't see them. Despite being the more childish of the two, the carnation colored fuzzball was always prone to being a bit more humanistically empathetic than his logical, sort of thick skulled at times sister. "Tamer? Oh our human, Talia! She's here, we just uhhh kind of lost her, hehe yeah..."
Picking up on the cues that the bigger digimon was gentle the twins dropped the shy demeanor and moved closer, bouncing around the caped critter curiously. "So pretty and regal!" "Are you a royal knight?" Somehow the twins were familiar with that term without actually knowing what a royal knight was or how they even knew them, as if, despite their seeming amnesia, whatever adventures they'd had in their previous lives were super glued to yet blocked inside their memento. "Don't be stupid Koromon, I'm sure she's much cooler than whatever that is!"
It hadn't taken very long for Talia to catch up with the twins, but you could imagine she was sure as shit furious when she did. "You! and you, are both officially grounded." Koromon didn't even know what the term meant but he knew it wasn't a good one as portrayed by the squeak and uncomfortable facial expression. "I told youuuuu, now shes gonna ground us!" At first she hadn't noticed K, too busy shouting angry phrases at the twins. "Don't you two know what the word 'no' or 'where I can see you?' means? You can't just run off by yourselves, you'll -" She finally noticed the bigger creature on the bench the twins were sitting with (but not the sleeping Guilmon yet). "Oh, you're uh...you're one of their kind, aren't you?" This was the girls first time seeing a stronger digimon, which was probably why there was something unique about her - could her twins get to that form one day? She hadn't even know big digimon were a thing to be honest.

K tilted her head just a little bit, her icy blue eyes tracing over the form of the two younger digimon. While they weren't judgmental in the least bit there was a logical approach to the way she scanned them. They were young, that much was clear beyond a doubt. But a good question as any is how young? Was this their first rebirth or perhaps they just simply were brand new?
She'd lean just a bit and chuckle softly when they seemed to be nervous about departing from their tamer. She was amused by their interactions and had to admit they reminded her somewhat of two other digimon that she could fondly remember on her off days. They were even so kind to even tell her the name of 'their' human. There wasn't really anything you could say about that; it wasn't so much owner ship of the human or digimon. It was just a simple pact, a relationship that would evolve to newer heights if treated properly. She had seen it at the crest and at the start. So it was very fresh to see it once more.
"Perhaps next time you sense a digimon you should tell her about it rather than running off to investigate! Imagine if I had been dangerous."
There was an edge of concern with her voice and the wolfen digimon smiled at the two of them. Though when they called her pretty... and even asked if she was a royal knight K stared at them owlishly. There was a rosy tint to her cheeks and she'd let out a soft but somewhat embarrassed chuckle. They even went so much further to say that she was cooler than a royal knight.
That was high praise even if it was from some young digimon and reminded her of the power she wielded along with all the responsibility that came along with it. She'd gingerly raise a single digit on her free hand before waggling it; she was grinning like a fool but it didn't stop her from shaking her head.
"Please please. I am no royal knight, nor am I likely in any way near the sheer strength and regal poise they possess. I appreciate the compliments however."
Then there was a human that approached them, with the drive to ignore the larger digimon. She even went so far as to yell at the twins, whom seemed to quail at the fact they had run off. The shutmon tutted softly and sat up just a bit; her ears flicking to one side as joseph grouchily mumbled. He cracked open an eye and stared down at the group as a whole; when it looked like he would talk K just held up a finger for him to wait. The dragon type digimon nodded and laid his head down on the branch.
K waited patiently for the human to slowly notice the fact that the ultimate had been sitting there rather quietly waiting for her to finish her scoldings. She'd nod slowly however when asked about being one of their kind.
"A digimon? yes. I am a shutmon, ultimate tier digimon. Two tiers from rookie and if uh I am correct you two younglings are in training? Which is two tiers above that."
She'd lean forward a little bit and tilt her head slowly. Her icy blue eyes assessing the human for a few long moments.
"of course they are a welcome sight to see. Your name is Talia I presume? If you're their tamer of course. If not you must know the person that is."
The shutmon offered a hand to the young woman; the smile still simply plastered on her face. Interacting with young digimon was always wonderful; and meeting new humans that weren't immediately afraid of her was something grand as well.
"My name is K, I'm a digimon liaison with the Organization known as AEGIS. My job here in the human world is to stop hostile digimon from creating a ruckus and upsetting the delicate balance."
"And ah! I'm Joseph.. Her.. uh. Uh..."
"You're my assistant sweetheart."
"R-right, that'd make me a digimon liaison assistant with AEGIS then?"
"That's right joseph, I take it your nap was good? Do you want to come down here and join us?"
Joseph bristled at the invitation and nodded. His black scales clicking before hopping out of the tree. His yellow highlights making the Guilmon-X stand out just a bit more than his counterparts. He'd give them a shy smile and a small wave.
"I imagine you don't come to this park much, else you'd of run into us already..."
"they smell new so uh... I think so K."
"Do they? Good to know!"

"Pftt, dangerous digimon don't scare us, they can come at me all they want!" The Koromon enthusiastically bounced as he spoke, attempting to convince K of his courage while his twin sister rolled her eyes, speaking with a sharp smugness in her tone that could only mean one was revealing a dirty secret. "Suuuure, says the one who was scared of the TV machine at first." The younger twin squeaked, turning red a bit. "I-it was loud and colorful okay? I wasn't used to it! Besides, you were scared of the vacuum!" See, Koromon might've been the less mature of the two, but it was clearly they were equal in the art of savagery. "N-no comparison! The TV is in a box; I thought the vacuum was an evil digimon with sucking powers."
"Eh eh, ultimate?" The pair weren't entirely familiar with the general digimon jargon yet, a bit odd. "I think so! We don't remember much from the digital world to be honest, only that we lived in a nursery for a short time and then found ourselves here." Whether that was because they were newborns or reborns with lost memories was difficult to determine, but the twins were a bit too sophomoric in thought to care about it right this minute - the big pretty digimon was much more interesting to their bouncy and simple nature at this moment in time. "Does Ultimate mean you're really strong? Can we reach that?" Ugh, the thought of those two as big strong digimon was a little scary, Talia wouldn't lie - at least how she imagined it was two giant infant monstrs stomping around the city Godzilla style destroying buildings and tearing up trees all because it was 'fun'. "Yeah thats me, Talia aka unlucky babysitter to these two, sorry if they bothered you by the way, doing as they're told isn't exactly in their picture book-length vocabulary."
Okay, the idea of Aegis sounded amazingly cool to the girl, enough that she wanted to nerd out but didn't wanna lose compose in front of this cool digimon. "Hostile digimon? So like a Justice League squad? Wait, doesn't that stuff only exist in comics?" Duh, of course not - the blonde was about to explode with squees but continued to play a cool reaction. "Wait, just how many digimon are there?! Sorry I don't mean to bombard you with questions, this is just..well lets just say I was your run of the mill nine to five computer programmer and part time cosplayer till I found these two trying to rob a vending machine during software week at the office!" The twins scoffed at the accusation. "We were hungry and you humans make those things impossible to reach!"

K's face turned into mock surprise at the idea that these two weren't afraid of hostile digimon. It was likely due to the fact they were young digimon still trying to get a grasp on things. Too young to really make sense of anything complicated and the Shutmon had likely just mucked up a little bit. She turned her head slightly to gaze at Joseph who was shifting nervously foot to foot. He wasn't really good with new people but this would certainly be healthy for him.
"You realize that the both of them can be turned off at your leisure right? No need to be scared of either when you have control of whether they're on or off."
She'd give a little waggle of her finger and raise her brow at the response to what level she had told them she had been. There was a few moments and she'd ponder just how much they could of missed or not known about. She might have to give the three here a hand in explaining things out if they didn't know too much.
The fact that they had lived in the nursery made the Shutmon wish she had the actual chance to experience such a place properly.. As she had been born in a very different fashion. Then of course came two questions; one in referring to the strength of the form she kept along with knowing if they could get there. She'd dip her head in a nod and pat her chest softly.
"It's certainly very strong yes, not even close to the strongest form I have available to me. But that's besides the point. You can reach this level of power in time but trust me I wouldn't rush it the worst power is the one you can't control."
She'd give Talia a small smile and rub the back of her head; looking somewhat surprised still that the human thought that they were bothering her.
"Nonsense they couldn't bother me if they tried. Most young digimon are like this anyways, a little bit later and they'll likely listen to you. Seems to be a running theme as they get older to listen to their tamer from the few I've met."
There was a resounding chuckle and the shutmon shifted a bit, placing her hands on her book once more. It would have to be read later; as she doubted with company here she'd be allowed to do so freely.
"From time to time a digimon will end up in the human world, whether on it's own will or by the digital world sort of thrusting them into it. I'd say somewhat like the justice league yes, but no where near as far reaching. We only exist in japan after all and trust me it's quite a busy state of affairs so far!"
There was a pause and the Shutmon put one of her hands to her muzzle, looking rather thoughtful.
"Population wise I'd say there's likely just about as many as there are humans but I don't really know. As for types of digimon I want to say there's a couple hundred at best. I'm not really the best to ask about that sort of thing as population count and general knowledge of forms wasn't my forte."
She'd wave her hand rather dismissively when it came to the apology for 'bombarding' her with questions. She found the whole experience quite charming and Joseph even came over to sit on the bench next to k, whom the latter of which gave the guilimon a pat on the head.
"If anything I find it rather charming that you'd ask me such questions; I don't get to share too much in the way of information with humans as most of you don't even know I exist!"

"Tch, I'll take your word for that I guess." It wasn't like there was someone around to tell her otherwise and by this point Talia was ready to accept anything digimon related she learned. "How did they even get here, how did you get here? I studied computer science for four years and never once did I learn anything about the exist of a digital plane! This just...it's not possible by basic scientific standards, I mean sure there's the theories on the existence of several parallel verses but parallel means they aren't supposed to meet!" And why only Japan? Too many questions with no answers, her head officially was starting to spin. "Not that I have a problem with it, I mean you guys are super duper cool, cooler than any characters from my childhood Saturday morning cartoons for sure, I mean pizza eating kung fu fighting turtles are pretty original though...eh, middle tier cool maybe."
The word pizza and eating caught the attention of the twins. "Whats pizza? I wanna try it, I wanna try it! Can we eat now?" The pair of infants started bouncing up and down as Talia facepalmed. "Relax! I don't even think pizza is available in the land of Japan." That receipted a double 'awww' from Koromon and Moonmon, whose jumping slowed down as disappointment kicked in, yet their curiosity about this 'pizza' still very strong - and then something even more weird happened next - a small pang inside her when the two expressed their sadness - was this...guilt? Their own disappointment. "D-damn it..." She was getting too attached to these rugrats for sure.
"I'll try to find some for you okay, just...don't be sad, maybe our new friends too?" She glanced at the Fox and the small dinosaur lizard looking creature curiously. "Yayyay, we know you can do it Talia!" They laughed, jumping on her shoulders with big smiles, thrilled by the prospect of getting a meal pizza or something else all while the blonde had become lost in thought, finding she was oddly touched by their simple yet clearly genuine sentiment....they believed in her? Maybe she was overanalyzing, but the American found she felt oddly warm inside, as if they'd just established a mutual sort of trust agreement, a confidant if you will, which lead to her making a series of cognitive conclusions, too many to name but ones mostly involving the woman realizing how much these two trusted and depended on her quality of responsibility, and how fragile the line between them was - she could more easily screw this up than she could not, and just the idea of the former was enough to make her heart sink. "Good, you can guys can always count on me, okay?"
This whole Aegis thing sounded really amazing so far and the girl wanted to know more but was holding back from bombarding the fox with questions. "Really? Must be such a cool thing to be a part of, do you have like a special membership initiation ritual or something? Special jackets?" To some people that might have sounded like she was making a joke but Talia was as serious as they came, as pathetic as that possibly was. "Not that I'm cool enough to join a Superhero group or anything, nah I'm just Talia the office worker - wow I'm totally not being subtle right now." Charming? Perfect, because they were likely more silly questions to come, and possibly pizza.

"Me? How did I get here? I came through the train station Dear. Walked right through the check out no problem."
The shutmon tilted her head just a little bit blinking a few times before chuckling softly. The human had plenty of questions it seemed and observations on what was supposed to be how things worked. It wasn't really a surprise to her; most young humans had so much to think about it seemed!
"The thing is that the digital world isn't so much a parallel as it is a sub type of the human world. Technically we only exist because of human ingenuity at some point, the digital world was likely birthed from the human one and eventually it became it's own plane of existence within the human available locale. In short, it's not a parallel verse so much as it is just another place on or by earth."
She had often thought of the digital world in relevance to the human one, how they had come to be and why the digital world was so easily accessed by the human one. She'd rub her muzzle and raise her eyebrows again as Talia followed with the prospect she didn't have a problem with it but then there was something to do with Saturday morning cartoons and... kung fu fighting turtles with pizza? She'd look confused for a moment and shake her head slightly.
"Don't worry about it too much Dear, things happen for a reason after all. If the digital world wasn't meant to interact with the human one it wouldn't of in the first place. Not everything needs a plausible reason for why it happened either!"
The shutmon shifted a little bit and gently noted that Joseph had fallen asleep again. With a small shrug she'd gingerly continue to pet the top of the guilimon's head as she watched the human interact with her digimon.
"I wouldn't so much mind a bite to eat, I imagine that Joseph may want some too."
She'd chuckle lightly and draw out a small money pouch from one of her many pockets offering it to the human.
"I can easily pay for some as well, I'm not terribly worried about pricing either."
She'd tilt her head a little bit when the human seemed actually interested in Aegis. She'd consider what to say to them about it past what she already had. She'd scratch her muzzle and mull it over for a moment or two before chuckling softly at the human's idea that you had to be 'cool' to join or help something like AEGIS.
"It's certainly something worth while to invest time into. The only initiation I can think about is having digimon and being willing to protect the human world? Perhaps there's more to it than that, but I was a special case as I am also the only sole digimon that is a part of it. There are jackets too from what I recall."
The shutmon dug around in her pockets again and offered a card to the human. It had K's phone number along with a small little 'AEGIS Liason' panel on it. She'd give the human a small smile and shift slightly, wagging a finger at her.
"Office workers, pizza delivery, referee, Cashier, it doesn't matter what your job is. It matters where your heart is. If you think you can make a difference then you can, if you think you can't there's no getting around that negativity on your own without a decent amount of change."

"Train station?!" Okay this was starting to sound too CS Lewis-ish for her liking - was a christ figure lion and evil witch going to show up in the city next? "But then how in the world can a train be a means of transportation to a subworld that possibly has a completely different matter core?! I mean, the complexity of the calculations you would need for such a procedure, most of which haven't even been discovered...but this, this possibly proves the idea that subspace travel is a possibility-" The poor infantile twins seemed to have no idea what their human was talking about as they cut her rambling off by bouncing on her shoulders. "Whats a subworld? Is that like Subway?" It was love at first bite for the twins after the blonde brought them to the sandwich chain, Koromon having no issues with scarfing down a well stuffed foot long ham sub - Moonmon had more of a preference to poultry meats but was just as much of a gavonne as her brother. "Ehhh, kind of, not as tasty though!"
K was right and frankly Talia was wearing her brain out trying to solve this stuff all at once, brains cells she probably should have been preserving for when she went back to work at some point today - luckily the director, art director, head of design, and programming chief were out of town for a business trip so there wasn't any rush to go back, though it did probably mean she'd need to stay a bit later to finish her work but that was no foreign concept to the blonde female who spent nights at the office on the regular - did it seem extreme? Yes and it probably was but it was unfortunately part of the job - working in a creative career meant you had strict deadlines to meet, especially when it came time for publishing, or in this case the creation of a game, a process which came to fruition in a series of steps, hence why the deadlines were so important, though to be honest it was more important to get what needed to be done long before the deadline so if the bosses wanted something changed there was a time window to fix it. "I'll crack it one of these days! As you can probably tell, i'm the type that likes to have an answer for everything, guess its the programmer in me."
The girl wanted this to be her treat, as a way of saying thank you to the furry fox for clearing up some of the blurry stuff. "Nah, its on me, you've been a really big help, I still don't really get all of this but now I'm not nearly as in the dark as I was before, though I still do sort of have another question..." She didn't want to say it in front of the twins but also didn't want to send them to play by themselves in case they tried to be friends with a raccoon or a hungry Rottweiler. "It can wait till later though! What kind of pizza do you like? How about you, Joseph was it?" More than likely the twins would crash after pigging out on pizza and then she could ask what she wanted to ask.

The shutmon rubbed her muzzle and stared quietly at Talia before looking between the gathered digimon. How was she supposed to really explain this; the shutmon considered it for a brief span of time before snapping her fingers.
"There's an elevator that you have to take to the lower train-station. I'd say that the sub world isn't so much on a different existence but on a different plane adjacent to yours. Imagine just two very close very real places being able to be crossed by some scientist a long while ago."
The shutmon held her hands level and simply moved one finger between the two before giving the human a small smile.
"It's always been possible but the problem is finding the destination you want or intended. You need to know if it's existence beforehand right? So that's what they did for the digital world, created it somehow or it was always there just waiting and just needed to have a window to have it be join-able. That's why there's a seven to one difference between the two, because information in the digital world travels so fast right?"
The shutmon tilted her head a little bit and leaned forward. She'd pat the bench offering the seat to the human of course if she desired it.
"There's a ton of things of course left un-answered and I bet my reasoning for it isn't correct. If you want to I bet there's tons of people that wouldn't mind finding that out too."
The shutmon paused of course when the other offered to have the pizza be on human. She'd crack a small smile and gingerly but playfully pat the top of joseph's head even though the young digimon had passed out again.
"Another question? Of course. I've got nothing to really hide of course."
The shutmon looked somewhat surprised to see that the guilimon was asleep again and with a soft sigh she'd rub the back of her head.
"Any type of meat he'll be good for, he's not very picky thankfully and neither am I. Can you really imagine me eating fruit though?"
The shutmon laughed softly and leaned back once more stretching quietly glancing at what appeared to be a timepiece that she had pulled from a pocket. With a tut she'd gently put it back in.
"I've got a few hours before i have to get back to patrol anyways so I'm not exactly pressed for time too."

"Pfft, and people say technology fries your brain - based on what you've said it sounds like we never could have found out about this digital world." Perhaps she was biased because she hadn't grown up in the generation surrounded by smartphones and tablets, rather she was part of the generation that had to ask permission to use the house phone and use Aol Instant Messenger to chat with friends, heck she could even recall when beepers and pom pilots were still relevant. "Wow, so time in the digital world goes by quicker than time in the human world?! It does make sense, what with high internet speed and the pioneering of fiber-optics - so, does that mean the digital world's development correlates with how technology develops in this plane?"
After all, it couldn't just appear out of nowhere right? There had to be some kind of algorithm for how it developed, and if it was connected to their own earth then that theory would have been even more highly plausible, not to mention that digimon seemed to evolve from a larvae like phase similar to that of natal development, so could it have been that the digital world had its own sort of prehistoric phase? Holding no hesitations the blonde sat next to the fox, smiling up at her a bit shyly like a kid trying to look cool in front of an admirable adult. "What does this whole 'partnership' thing mean? As in, what does it mean that Moonmon and Koromon are my partners? I don't mean to be a nosy Nancy, but is there someone whose existence I'm not aware of that decides who digimon gets sent to what person? Is it like that one scene in Beetlejuice, you know, where all the ghosts are in the waiting room and wait for their number to be called?"
Excellent! Since pizza could take 30 to 45 minutes to show up of course. "Haha, nah! You're prolly an uh...whats the word? Obligate carnivore right?" Animal science wasn't really part of her knowledge but she'd read about some crazy vegans that fed their pets a plant based diet and the poor pets looked starved and sickly because they weren't getting proper nutrition. "Ha, no Hawaiian pizza then! We'll get a pepperoni one." Talia pulled out her smartphone, using a delivery app to place the order from a local place to be delivered to the park.
Take that, technology haters! Now people who felt socially awkward making orders over the phone could toss their woes. "Yay pizza!" Koromon jumped up and down with excitement, curious to see what this so called pie was like, was sweet like an apple pie or something completely different? "Perfect, I'm not in a rush to go back to the office, plus the boss is away on a business trip." Not that they would have really cared as long as she got her work done by the deadlines, she was lucky to have such a lenient art director, albeit a bit of an odd one but odd beat bitchy anyday. "Alright! Pizza should be here in a bit."

"I thought they said that about Telivison? While they're not incorrect about the harmful nature of some shows I believe the more educational varieties would likely solve that issue."
There was a small bit of hesitation and the Shutmon scratched their muzzle giving Talia a small but brief smile.
"Humans are ingenious creatures that never cease to amaze many; you would of found it eventually or at least that source. But ultimately the digital world itself crosses in such a manner that would pull you all in one way or another. Whoever started that trailstation likely didn't realize how important it would end up being."
K would dip her head in a nod as Talia re-affirmed what she had said. She considered briefly about her question with the digital world's development and the correlation between how technology developed here.
"Terminus is a direct reflection of this city or one of the major civilizations. In certain locations in the digital world there are less technologically advanced and less socially advanced individuals. I wouldn't be surprised if they did have something to do with one another but ultimately in the end all digimon are capable of growth, rapid or not. Your tech drives us forward as I believe we were initially based off of it or something that maybe made this 'chance' a reality."
She'd curiously look this human over. She could tell a few things easily, that this human was female, that they were younger than many of the individuals walking the streets or more professional individuals that she had interacted with. But she also was older than many of the people that would of come to her inn. She gave Talia a gentle smile and equally as gentle of a pat on the shoulder.
"The digital world on it's own is a mysterious entity, more akin to a person making decisions than a place. It has it's own destiny, own vibe. It makes choices and sends out its children to individuals it believes can make some kind of difference. It knows when someone is worth it, or that would do something for it. Whether or not it's a good thing doesn't matter; it can develop in such a way to make it so that doesn't hurt it too much. As far as partner well.."
The shutmon shook her head a little bit when the woman made a reference to a film she hadn't seen yet. The shutmon pulled out a little book and wrote down the name of this 'Beetlejuice' it was quite a sizable list of movies, spanning several pages already.
"Your heart, your passion, your emotions. Your drive, your very being, soul and body are connected with theirs in some way. They learn from you, grow from you and gain power from your relationship with them. It can be a delicate thing or something that can span lifetimes."
K put her book away flicking her ear a little bit at yet another question.
"I can eat fruits and vegetables but it takes longer for my body to naturally digest them. I'm technically an omnivore by human standards but I would say that physically in most of my forms it'd lean towards being carnivore. But that's just for me, joseph here eats primarily meats and stays away from veggies or fruits."
The shutmon dipped her head in a nod as the joke was made about the Hawaiian pizza; she didn't know exactly what that meant but she could always look it up later. She'd of course let out a soft sigh, patting joseph on the head before gently shifting so that he'd wake up. She'd make a little motion before the guilimon suddenly vanished from sight! The shutmon would swipe her hand over a section of her forearm before she was replaced by a somewhat charming looking woman, who took the time to stretch and groan a little.
"Can't risk a non digital individual seeing me or joseph, he can be explained via animatronic testing but an eight foot tall wolf with giant swords on their arms? Humans tend to get a little nervous at my higher levels."
She'd lean to inspect the human, tilting her head curiously.
"What do you do for a living then if I may ask?"

“To be honest, I can’t help but agree with you - so much of tv programs now are just boobs and blood, without any real message or story - even kids stuff now is kind of dumbed down, there’s no more stuff like Mr Rogers or the Shari Lewis show.”
The blonde thought about the shutumon’s words for a second. “I should find out who created it, I’ll bet I could.” Should she really reveal her hacker identity to K though? For purposes of insurance in all aspects Talia preferred the anonymity but then again she didn’t see the digimon being an internet junkie. “I’m sure! Sometimes the smallest of projects end up being the most popular or successful, it’s all about luck and random chance I guess, but in my small experience that’s been the case nine times out of ten.” Random chance and knowing what sort of variable would sell to the masses, it was all about doing your homework with marketing when it came down to it.
“Just like people! I know there’s that whole thing about how a person can’t change who they are but I don’t think that’s completely true, anyone can do better if they really want to, it’s just that most humans are too complacent, stubborn or completely self involved, they’re too busy getting offended over something they see on the internet.”
The blonde turned away, feeling a bit bashful that the Shutumon seemed to be insinuating that she was some kind of special individual for being chosen as a partner for these two. “I don’t really think I’m more important than the average Joe and don’t see myself as special, but without a guide, these two little firecrackers would without a doubt probably get into a lot of trouble, so I guess I’ll keep making sure they don’t go screwing themselves over.”
It was a very Talia-like way of promising she would protect them, and maybe even a way of hinting she cared for the two mischief makers, but being openly communicative wasn’t exactly in the blonde’s personality vocabulary. “Speaking of which, where’d they go? They-”
She didn’t seem to process at first that the small dragon and reptilian looking hare wearing matching red hoods were standing in the place that the infant twins had once stood, and when she did, the blonde shrieked from sheer surprise, the noise frightening the poor Hackmon who ran behind his sister (who was amusingly smaller than himself) “I’msorryI’msorry! Ow!” The Lopmon had poked him a bit. “Oh buck up will you?” It was freakishly bizzare to see Moonmon talking so eloquently like a small adult. “Excuse Hackmon, he scares easily, like a Tailmon to a vacuum cleaner. My name is Lopmon and I’m the child form of Moonmon, and my brother is the child form of Koromon.”
L-lifetime? So these two would age like human children? “So you two evolved? Is this what digimon’s evolution is K?” The digimon was probably sick and tired of her questions but this was all too new for the blonde not to want some degree of clarity. “Yes, even if you miscommunicated it, your unique kindness and compassion willed us to progress to the next form.” The dragon, who called himself Hackmon, jumped into the girls arms surprising her a bit. “Yeah! You took super good care of us.”
Huh, she was starting to see what that whole connection thing meant. “You should invite Miss K and Joseph over for some of your pork cutlets! Talia makes them the best.” Granted they were the only donkatsu the twins had ever had but they didn’t seem to be picky when it came to food, especially when it came from a person they were fond of. “Of course! They can come over anytime they want.” Anyone that cool was a winner in her book.
“Me? I’m a junior programmer who writes the coding for a company’s gaming products. I also help with designs for electronic gadgets and whatnot, I dabbled a little in robotics and cybernetics in college, learning how things work at the core has always been an interest of mine.”

The shutmon blinked a few moments and then rubbed her muzzle thoughtfully. Tv programs in the human world were more violent and debased than those in the digital? She was somewhat surprised to hear that but she wasn't going to question it if it was coming from a human themselves.
"Hmm. Might have to be careful in taking a look at Tv programs if that's the case. I'm here to learn from them, not watch... Flicks."
The shutmon shrugged; if the human wanted to learn about who created the digital world she'd have to do some incredible digging to the point of where she might not even find a true proper answer.
"If I had suggestions or the like I would give them to you for that; but unfortunately that's so far out of the way that I couldn't even tell you a single useful fact past it came from the human world or something along those lines. And if you're sure about that all I can do is give you my blessings no?"
The shutmon chuckled a little bit and shifted looking somewhat cheerful. She'd raise her brows as Talia compared the digital world to people themselves. The digimon scratched their neck thoughtfully thinking about the comparison. It's true that it was similar; but she doubted that it was based on humans themselves.
"You'll find out what I mean later, once you've delved further into the mysteries you seem to desire to solve."
The shutmon chuckled a little bit at the humans promise to protect her partners; a fondness of sorts that the human likely couldn't explain. She'd follow the human's attention and stare quietly at the small dragon and reptilian looking hare. It took her maybe three seconds to process what was in front of her. But her eyes widened drastically and the holosuit had trouble hiding the massive smile that threatened to turn the thing off from just how far it split her face. She had to take a few seconds to calm herself and get that 'zen' sort of vibe she had earlier.
"Ussually accompanied by a bright flash and through strong emotions regarding their tamer or your emotions for them. As your Lopmon said..."
The shutmon leaned and if allowed would gently run her hand along the back of the hackmon's head.
"A hackmon and Lopmon Twin pairing huh? Hackmon's are ussually regarded as protectors; people that can do much for those that they care for. I wonder what sort of line you're going to have. If you're a pure hackmon, that means you'll have a Jesmon form down the line Like I do."
The shutmon shifted and would kneel to look over the lopmon, even going so far as to pick them up if allowed.
"A cousin to a digimon known as Terriermon, but related firmly to a hackmon. Even have that hood of hackmon's. Tis quite fetching on the both of you, I even have one. If I didn't know better we're cousins."
The shutmon chuckled a little bit and turned to Talia.
"I'd love to Talia, maybe tomorrow we can? And a junior programmer huh? You might have some wonderful potentional for things in the digital world, if you do electronic gadgets, robotics and cybernetics, maybe when you come to the digital world I should take you to see an andromon or some of the inventors there. You'd be surprised at what you can learn there."

“That’s right! I’m dedicated to protecting my human and my sister.” The cute dragon looked up at K with a wide, beaming, admirable smile, very much like a puppy would, proud that it had seemed to impress it’s superior, even wagging his tail a little bit, as though he would roll over if you scratched his belly. It was clear from his body language and the brief display of behavior earlier that this red caped mini knight was a child from the top down, with a preciously innocent idea of how the world was beyond the borders of his warm apartment, especially since he hardly remembered his time in the digital nursery at all whatsoever, or his trip here period. He was so juvenile and yet at the same time had a twinkle in his eye that gave off an almost ambitious, yet benevolent vibe at the same time. “Well I don’t care about or see my family very much but bloods just a label if you ask me. These two are my real family now!”
For some reason those words took a good second to process as Talia was overcome with emotion while she took in what was going on and in a moment of loose feelings, threw her arms around the dragon and the hare, holding them close to her as she shed a few quiet, positive tears into their crimson capes. “Hey not so hard Talia! We’re not your stuffed animals remember?” They didn’t have bones but the both of them still had fragile data inside their core that was prone to damage. “Sis, be gentle, she’s crying, don’t cry Talia, we’re right here, we’re not gonna go anywhere right? Wait, you’re not still mad cause I hid the remote in the dvd player right?! I just didn’t want sis to change the channel again!” The playful girl thought it was funny to troll him by using the universal remote to change the channel from behind the couch and make him think the TV was haunted after they’d watched Poltergeist on family movie night. “O-of course not silly! I’m just really...excited, yeah...excited.”
Compared to her brothers bouncing pinball energy, the Lopmon was much more composed, calm and polite in body language but hardly rigid. Despite that she wasn’t too receptive to the cuddling, the well mannered bunny understood that small and furry creatures were often well received as cute by other beings, so she quietly allowed the fox lady to pick her up with no struggles, looking down at herself as she did, as if knowing by instinct something was...different. It came from seeing the claw like nails on her paws, running her tongue along the sharp teeth in her mouth. Rabbits did not have teeth for chewing meat, or nails that could be sheathed and unsheathed, so what was this strange phenomenon? She had been a lopmon once before, in fact more than once before certainly, but never with these features, nor did she recall having a sibling. “Cousins? I would definitely say that’s possible, especially since-” A red and chrome blur jumping onto K’s shoulder cut her off. “YAY AUNTIE K!” And while Talia giggled, Tohru’s cheeks turned hot red from embarrassment and horror. “Brother! You can’t just go around calling people your aunt, it’s weeeeird.” “But, she said she could be our cousin and like Talia just said, family doesn’t need a label.” Out of the mouths of babes.
“Sounds good to me! Just come at dinner time, we’ll be around for sure, and t-that sounds amazing, an Andromon?! Is like that some kind of robot?!” In a sort of cute way, the blonde wasn’t very good at keeping herself composed when it came to talk about activities she loved. “I’d totally love that though!”
