Well this was new, while Shi had made many visits to Terminus beforehand the new area that had apparently been opened up shocked him a bit, the scarred youth stood there looking around the area pausing every so often to stare blankly at nowhere in particular as his two Agumon partners stood close by both ready to jump at a moments notice at anything in the surrounding area while their tamer with a calm emotionless expression simply raised his hand stopping just before the large scar across his face.
"Just, how long have I been gone?"
He asked himself removing his hand from his face, wearing just a long-sleeved shirt, his normal pants and a hat, for now, he grabbed the cap on his head sighing with a hint of annoyance before adjusting the cap and returning his hand to his side.
"Shi, we don't have to go here if you want, maybe we should go back to one of the areas we know?"
One of them voiced their concern at this, though it wasn't long before the other objected.
"Then how long? We can't just lay in bed all day."
The second one noticeable by the red bands on his claws said almost seeming to snap at his double, while the second seemed adamant to voice his opinion the human among them simply shook his head sighing.
"I appreciate the concern but Yasuo's right, c'mon we've stalled enough. I want to see what this is all about."
Defeated two against one they resigned to simply shrugging before following the tamer inside to wherever this led.

Sophie disembarked the Trailmon carriage in what was probably the first outing to the digital world she had been on in a while. Opening up the new AEGIS headquarters in Shibuya had taken up all of her time for the past few months, but, now that it was complete at last, the young woman was looking forward to a bit of exploration here to see how the digital world had changed.
Indeed, she had heard some troubling stories from initial recon reports from other members of AEGIS, who had said that a new area of Terminus had opened recently that led deep underground. It seemed to be very dangerous down there, and it was Sophie's hope that she might be able to go there herself to gather data. After all, she was the leader of AEGIS. And other than the ally digimon agent K, Lantis was the strongest digimon in the security organization. Yes, they had grown nicely since the day they had founded the successor to DATS - where they were just a Champion and two Rookies. Now they were on their way to becoming as powerful as PROFIT, her brother's organization.
Sophie was dressed in her normal AEGIS uniform, with a grey wool overcoat over that so as to not draw too much attention to herself. At least not much more attention that would be given a young woman with a tall shirtless muscular Leomon partner at her side.
"Ah, Terminus, how I've missed it here~" Lantis said, looking around at the skyscrapers above with a grin on his lion-like face.
"Lantis, you sneaked off here last week, you were seen on the cameras" Sophie said. Lantis pouted a little.
"Well, alright, but, Bellamy was throwing a party and I was invited so..."
"Eh, I'm not scolding you, Lan, relax" Sophie sighed. Honestly she let the Leomon do whatever he wanted, he was still loyal and she trusted him, only he did silly things at times. He relaxed and they continued on their mission. They would make their way down the route that had been told to them, then proceed to the mysterious underground of Old Terminus. The prospect was kind of exciting to her.
As Sophie approached, she saw the reason why this was called 'Old Terminus'. While there was a clear slum district around this area, as the road headed downward into an underpass, the other side revealed a startling landscape, with decrepit, twisted buildings and flashes of old and corrupted data.
"Oh... wow" Sophie remarked. She then turned to her partner. "Careful, Lan, there might be some nasty stuff down here" she advised her partner before proceeding forward.

Staring up at the walls Shi silently stepped up a little ways staring around the area for a few moments before walking forward a bit. Questions were pretty much all he had in his head right now as he walked around the area for a few more steps before turning to the two Agumon by him for a second, just to make sure they're there, surprisingly yes they were.
"So are you sure you've never heard of this place, not even once?"
He asked not wanting to let that go, he had expected them to of wandered around a bit without him, power drain or no power drain Yuudai was still Yuudai, both shook their heads no once more and Shi sighed, just a bit annoyed. Walking a bit forward he eventually came to a slight slope nearby, sliding a bit on it downward before stopping just at the bottom he landed safely before hearing his phone's ringtone for a bit go off, before he could check it a sudden small explosion ignited near his face causing him to stumble back a bit, undamaged he kept his calm look as he fell dropping his backpack and other goods.
"Shi!"
Yuudai shouted a bit too loudly sliding after him followed by his brother, by the time they got there the one who did it revealed himself, an Impmon coming out of a hole holding his gut laughing for a bit before he noticed Shi's face hadn't changed, nor really reacted to just what happened in general. The teen then got up putting his hands in his pockets shaking his head for a second, though while he did the Impmon quickly grabbed two things that fell out of his pack, his notebook, and his phone before dashing through a smallish hole.
"Get back here!"
Yuudai once again shouted before trying to go after him, alas he couldn't fit unless he degenerated but that seemed risky.

Sophie and Lantis were suddenly distracted by a small explosion from behind them. Lantis instinctively moved to shield his partner, but it was too far away for it to harm them. However, Sophie knew that this was too suspicious for them to continue without investigating.
"Hurry, Lan!" Sophie said, and the Leomon complied, the two of them running back to where the commotion was taking place. The AEGIS duo saw enough at first glance to put the pieces together. It seemed another human was attacked by a digimon. An Impmon... was that Bellamy? No, it couldn't be, Bellamy's stomach was white. And the Impmon seemed to have grabbed some things from the human and seemed to be running to an escape hole.
"Oh no you don't! Fist of the Beast King!" Lan yelled, and launched a lion-shaped fireball at the Impmon, which would track toward him, likely following him into the hole at that rate.
"Lan, wasn't that a bit excessive?" Sophie asked, unsurely, but, supposed it was down to the heat of the moment.
"I'm sorry... I don't know what came over me" Lan admitted, scratching his mane nervously. He was a bit unsure of what had happened now. Had his attack hit Impmon? What happened to him?
Sophie then dashed toward the ambushed human. She then saw that he had two digimon partners - a pair of Agumon.
"Everything alright here? What just happened?" she asked, trying to remain calm and professional. "My name's Sophie James, leader of AEGIS. I heard an explosion here just now".
She hoped he wouldn't be wounded. While Lantis was capable of healing, he hadn't had to try it on a human yet.

Yuudai was still near the hole when suddenly a weird lion thing had flown down after the Impmon through the hole causing Yuudai to stumble back a bit, despite the fact he was clear enough from the place. The trio then looked up towards the supposed one who threw said lion thing, it was another lion thing a Leomon to be specific. Though while looking up a noise was heard from the hole, though it was unclear if the Impmon was hit or not by the attack.
"Shoot, what if that destroyed his stuff."
Yasuo voiced his concern as the tamer and Digimon duo approached the three of them. both the name and leader of didn't strike any cord within the trio, but she seemed to hold some air of professionalism as she spoke.
"That Digimon, the Impmon was the one who caused the explosion, Didn't come near me or hit me though." Shi paused for a moment while talking looking at the location where his stuff just was. "Ran off with my drawing notebook and phone though." He mentioned right after. Despite what happened his face and tone held no real emotion behind them. "Oh and I'm Shi Namika, sorry." He quickly added on finding it rude to not introduce yourself.
While explaining the situation a sort of mocking laugh was heard farther in, followed by a smaller explosion, the same noise as before. So it seems the Impmon was fine enough to be laughing at them.

From the reaction of the people in question, Sophie thought that this would probably be a good opportunity to be conciliatory.
"Ah sorry about that, my partner saw that you were in trouble and attacked first, rather than ask questions..." Sophie began, approaching. "I hope he didn't damage your things in the process..."
Of course Lantis couldn't fit into the hole, and that the Leomon heard that the Impmon was just fine and dandy after his attack made him growl and shake with anger. Boy would that Impmon pay for things if he ever saw him again.
But, he wouldn't, due to events that would take place in the future, but that would not be known from his point of view.
Sophie meanwhile listened to the young man's testimony. The Impmon caused the explosion, making a distraction, then ran off with his property down the hole. And given that there was mocking laughter afterward, it seemed that the Impmon had gotten away with it.
"Damn it..." Lantis growled, scowling. However, Sophie thought to other matters.
"Not to think on the pessimistic side, but, I think your cellphone is already dead" she said, simply. "Electronic devices made on Earth don't really work in the digital world, so, your cellphone probably won't work here like it did on the other world. So at least this Impmon has at least one thing of no value".
The other thing though, the notebook. Sophie was curious about what it held, but didn't want to seem to nosy. So she asked a more cautious question. "This notebook... what kind of things did you write in it? If I'm okay in asking" she asked, carefully. Hopefully the story would be revealed shortly.

Yuudai had the same reaction of anger Lantis did, except he was shaking his claw in the general direction he heard the laugh. "Stupid, what'd we ever do to you." He voiced his anger but it wouldn't get an answer, and from the look on his face the Agumon seemed to know that.
The other Agumon though seemed to just pat his brother on the back for a second. "It's fine, we probably would have done the same thing if this was reversed." He pointed out hoping they didn't feel too bad about that.
Shi, on the other hand, was busy thinking about what he did have in his notebook. "Not much to be honest, mostly just my old notes for school and drawings I do, mostly of Digimon and locations I see." Shi pointed out, though in his head he knew it wasn't any Digimon one would want to steal.
Another bout of mocking laughter was heard, though the same it sounded like it was the same distance away as before as if the Digimon in question wasn't moving at all. Shi looked around for a second noticing a path that hooked around going towards the same place farther down. "Does the Impmon want me to follow?" Shi mentioned quietly, though loud enough for everyone else to hear. Sure enough, if they waited one more time it would still sound just as close as it did before.

As the situation evolved, Lantis gradually calmed down. He could feel sympathy with the first Agumon in regards to the outrage. As for the second Agumon, he kind of questioned that, but chose not to pursue the matter further there.
Sophie meanwhile was rather glad to hear that the Impmon didn't steal sensitive data as such, but was sympathetic in the sense that it was still something meaningful to Shi. Either way, it was enough for her to regard the data as not thought of as classified, which would have changed things.
Shi then asked if they should then follow the Impmon. Sophie shook her head. "As much as I hate to admit it, that hole is too small for humans and digimon of our partners' size. He's probably trying to get us to de-digivolve, in which he'd be able to overcome us and probably absorb their data. It's a pretty nasty trick, but I think he's capable of it".
Still though, she felt like she wanted to recompense him in some way. And then she realized she hadn't returned the introduction.
"Oh gosh, sorry. My name's Sophie James and this is my partner Lantis. We're leaders of the AEGIS organization, which, if you know about it, we intend to have as the successor to DATS, although I'm not sure if you've heard of that".
Things had been moving so quickly that she had neglected to check that. Perhaps as she got more experience she'd be able to know?

Shi thought about it for a moment before simply nodding to the reason not to follow. "Yeah you're probably right, plus it'd be too risky to try and blast through without knowing what's on the other side, not worth it for some five dollar notebook." While Shi did seem a tad bit annoyed he'd have to leave his stuff it didn't seem to phase him too much.
Though what she said next did get more of a reaction out of him, after pausing to think for a second. "Nice to meet you both, the name AEGIS doesn't ring any bells but DATS on the other hand does." He mentioned opening his bag showing the DATS outfit and goggles inside. "I used to be a member, not for long though before I stopped hearing from them."
Though he didn't know of any evidence to back her claim he figured after name dropping two organizations. With that instant reaction to an explosion, he could spare some trust.
"Wait, successors? so were you two originally members?" Yasuo questioned them curious about where AEGIS exactly spawned from DATS.
Yuudai, on the other hand, had another question. "What happened to those guys, we saw some members before we joined then just, nothing." There was a hint of concern in his voice.

It was regretful, but probably for the best. Sophie didn't know what kind of traps were around here. And in an enclosed place, Lantis would likely have a disadvantage.
So, Shi didn't hear about AEGIS yet, but Sophie was surprised to hear that he used to be a part of DATS. "Oh? That's interesting to hear. I've been coming across a lot of old DATS agents recently" Sophie said. "Do you remember Yaku? He's part of AEGIS, and been really helpful".
Lantis then answered Yasuo's question. "Actually we tried to make contact with them, but, as established, it's no longer functional" the Leomon explained. "We realized that that left Tokyo wide open without defense - if a bad digimon was able to get through, they could do so much damage to the place. So we set up to prevent it from happening".
"That's right. Normally we keep our eye on security on Earth, but, hearing about this area made us decide to have a proper look at it" Sophie added. "And I must say, this place is... disturbing".
She took a better look at their surroundings. For the most part, it looked like an old, decrepit part of Terminus City, but with twisted, corrupted buildings everywhere. There was also signs of digitization - raw bursts of data that made the place look like a glitched video game in areas. She could feel eyes on them too - it seemed that some bad digimon were down here.
"So, should we explore further?" Sophie suggested to Shi. "We should probably stick together. Oh, by the way, how far can evolve your partners?" She added, curious to see how experienced this former DATS agent was. If he was interested, perhaps he could help out with future AEGIS operations?

\Shi thought for a few moments crossing his arms for a second thinking about that name before giving a small sigh shaking his head. "The name doesn't ring any bells, I was in the hospital for a while so I might have at one point." Shi mentions wondering if he had heard of them. Still, he almost slapped himself mentioning the hospital. "I'm fine now though, just this cut is the only thing bothering me." Shi added quickly after motioning to his face for a second.
Yasuo thought about it for a moment before giving a small sigh. "You weren't able too huh, darn hope they're ok." Yasuo added having known a few people in DATS, least for a little while. "That's good though, would be terrible if any bad Digimon attacked." At least someone was defending the town.
Shi looked around the area for a moment while Sophie talked. "I know what you mean, this place seemed to just randomly open up while I was out, it's odd, to say the least." And given how easy it was for that Impmon to move around some must've mapped the place by now.
Yuudai seemed to be annoyed when that was mentioned though crossing his arms giving a small sigh. "We spent so long checking out each area, just for new ones to randomly show up while we're out of commission." Shaking his head for a bit he sighed again getting over that fact.
"Yeah, even with that I still want to see more, I'll be more careful though." Shi mentioned before adding. "Super Mega, with both Yuudai and Yasuo." Shi said seemingly nonchalantly before adding. "It's easier to maintain Mega but we can if it calls for it."

A small discarded piece of metal clanked under Eva's foot as she kicked it away from her path amongst the twisted remnants of a civilisation long decayed to dust, its towers and structures sticking up like the bleached ribs of a long decayed corpse. Curiosity had driven the digimon to delve this deep, yet, this was something she regretted as she sat down on a rusted bench, the seat giving a subtle creak in protest of even her light weight resting upon it. Being forever lost in these endless twisting catacombs was not how she had intended to spend her day to say the least. She had to get her bearings, the familiar tangerine orange glow of her HUD opening up in front of her eyes, shining bright against the darkness.
NAVIGATION... RETRACE.
Lines appeared, centred translucently in the middle of her field of view. Straights and right angled corners showing the paths she had walked up until now following the various forgotten streets and alleys of this once bustling metropolis. The route revealed one thing. She had been going around in virtually circles this whole time. She stood up with a muttered expletive under her breath, minimising the map to the top left hand corner of her sight, about to head off again in search of an exit.
"Oh no you don't! Fist of the Beast King!"
A crack broke the silence, a flash broke the darkness, a small figure scurrying away from a ball of fire hurtling right towards her! The digimon raised her left arm instinctively, feeling the surge of the capacitors through the artificial senses of her limb, polymer muscles tensing as the energy flowed through and released in a flash of light and electric sound, drowned out by the beast king's fury.
"Hee hee hee..."
"The hell are you laughing at?"
"Oh, just you. A little Renamon lost and all alone. You can't even see me."
"I can see you. You taking notes or something?"
"Oh no. I'm just h͉̩û̮̽́ͣ̏̾͢ͅͅͅn̰̺̖̖͕t͍̜̞̘͊̚͟ͅi̺̩̹̤ͪ͐ͬ̃̓̂̌͡ṋ̲͎̯ͬ̂͜g͇̗̻̼͍̮.̰̝ͦ͆̈́ͭ̔ͭ̚͘ͅ"

The figure twisted, distorted, turning from a small non threatening imp to a monstrous creature borne aloft on tattered black wings as it let out a horrific screech that caused Eva to flinch, covering her ears and wincing at the sonic assault ravaging her ears, the creature effortlessly picking the smaller digimon up in its talon like hands, a vast slavering maw opening, revealing rows upon rows of razor sharp glistening teeth. The creature stopped however, looking down at its razor sharp claws that held Eva. In its haste it had hoped that they would currently be impaling her like they had done to so many before, but instead they were leaving nought but scratches in its would be prey.

The hunter was quickly starting to realise that its chosen victim was far better armed than it took her for, as the Devimon was forced back to Impmon in just a few quick volleys, scurrying back away into the inky darkness that it came from, and dropping the notebook in the process.

So Shi hadn't heard of Yaku? Well, that wasn't surprising. The former DATS agents seemed to be a loose-knit community from as far as Sophie knew. Especially with the fact that Shi seemed to be in hospital for a time.
His partners meanwhile expressed glad feelings that nothing bad had happened in DATS's absence. "Yeah, I feel the same way, that would've been pretty nasty if they got through" Lantis agreed.
Sophie then listened to Shi as to what his capabilities were. Those words made her pay attention at once. "Super Mega...?" she repeated. "Oh, wow, then I think in that case... I would really appreciate any information you have available about what's going on in the digital world, since you're likely to know much more about things than we do in our database..."
Sophie should have probably come up with a better line than this, but, it was probably an off day for her. So much new information, so much details to go over. Then she heard noises from the hole in which the Impmon had vanished earlier. Wait, what was that? It sounded like another individual was down there.
"Huh? What's happening?" she asked, glancing down at the hole.

Shi gave a slight nod to the information bit. "I'm willing to help anyway I can, I might not have that much knowledge on current events but I know a bit abo-" Shi was eventually cut off by the sudden noises in the hold the Impmon fled from. Looking down for a bit back in the hole, no other noises but that was still a very weird thing to have happened.
Yuudai, on the other hand, being the brave and stupid soul he was was already near it looking down a bit before yelling. "Er, Hey. Is there anyone else down there, preferably not the Impmon again." Yuudai called out holding his ear towards the hole waiting for whatever that was to hopefully yell back.
Though his brother seemed not ok with that as he tried to drag the Agumon away from the hole in question. "Yuudai, what if it's just trying to get us near so he can grab us or something, get back." However, Yasuo didn't seem like he was able to pry his brother away. "It'll be fine it sounds like someone else anyway."

"Er, Hey. Is there anyone else down there, preferably not the Impmon again."
Well, Eva wasn't going to stick her head through that hole and just shout back, that was for sure. The twisted caverns of steel fell silent for a moment while she pondered her next course of action, interrupted only by a small leak from higher above dripping stale water down to a greasy puddle below and the groaning of old supports holding a whole city up above these catacombs.
Would calling back just lead to even more trouble? Perhaps yet another ambush? She looked down at her arm, the laser still deployed and unfolded, the whole assembly ticking subtly as it cooled. "No point leaving it active" she thought as the sleek mechanism of steel, glass and carbon fibre sunk back into her arm, her hand returning to its normal resting position at the end of her wrist rather than dangling down and gripping it to clear the lenses.
Perhaps she could just cut through this wall? She tried to gauge the thickness, knocking her fist against the rusted decayed surface. It wasn't anywhere near stout enough to be a supporting structure, that was for sure. Not to mention the cracks. This whole section would have no doubt crumbled if it was being held by just this flimsy barrier.
"I'm not the impmon. Bastard attacked me though, ran off somewhere."
