K's efforts had not gone unnoticed.
After all, how could they? Though Whitewater was a fair enough distance away that such that many might not sense her pressure, those sensitive enough would be able to feel the very peaks of her power rush past the city. This led to tense feelings in some, a chilled feeling in the spine for others... and to a particular doctor, a sense of warm familiarity and concern.
There was no doubt to him that it was K. After all, all the pieces fit together: Jesmon still had to work piecing the core together, and thus her excess energy would radiate out in irregular intervals as those three cores slowly worked to become one. What would it take? Days? Weeks? Months? Mikemon didn't know, but at this point, he knew one thing:
He would support her.
For K's first two weeks through her meditative process, there would be two points, when her focus relaxed, that she'd see that a gift was left in her presence. The first was rather simple: a case of water, dried jerky, and a red card, signed by the cat, saying one simple thing:
Thinking of you. The second was a touch more elaborate, but in the same tone: a fresh case of water, jerky, a bag of varied mints, and another card. This one held a picture of the cat, smiling to the camera, a more detailed and thoughtful note left this time. Punctuated at the end, above the cat's signature, was the simple phrase 'With Love.'
Much like those first two times, the Mikemon had set out into those light woods to make another delivery. That now familiar case of water was clutched in the feline's left hand, a bag slung over that same shoulder. He took care to note that no-one was following him, once more moving into that clearing, to the meditative Renamon. She would seem as peaceful as ever - but the supplies before went somewhere, right? Starting to set up a similar 'display' to before, the cat gave a sigh, stepping back to look over the fox.
"K..." His voice barely pierced through the air. For the moment, the cat sat down, and soon curled up around himself, several feet away from the fox. Today had been somewhat of a long day before this, so he figured he'd just rest here for a minute or two. Despite the pressure, at this point, Mikemon had grown comfortable enough to the feel. Right, he'd just rest his eyes, and leave her be...
... Yeah, like it would ever be that simple.

K knew that people would notice her, she knew that people would be uncomfortable no matter where she went. So she wasn't meaning to be overbearing with it and out of understanding the possibilities of what could transpire from this? Decided to leave out into the area around whitewater rather than in it. It was better that she slowly got acclimated to her power outside of city limits. She however wasn't expecting it to be as far reaching.
She wasn't expecting the drastic impact it'd have on the fauna around her nor the impact on the things that passed her by. While she had a few visitors that had interrupted her meditations; after each one she had managed to continue on her ideal path to the keys after they had left.
She wasn't aware of how it affected people unfortunately, she didn't know the tense feelings, the chilled feelings. The sensations that would be given to one that would recognize her on the spot... But if she was told of all these, she'd accept them with grace.
The first time that she relaxed her meditation was what... a week into her first peak of control? It was powerful enough to knock her out of it and she'd have to gingerly address the fact that the first word was obviously her strongest.
It forced her to think of things, forced her to wait and consider what was going on. But the needs of her body, desiring subsistence at the presence of it only pushed her further along the path. The water would of course be gently sprinkled around the stump from time to time. The jerky passed to hungry travelers that didn't have the time to stop at whitewater, or were lost and needing assistance.
"There is a card here. Read it K."
Eyes dragged down to the card that was sitting next to the empty container of the water that had been given. She felt her heart skip a beat and she'd kneel to read it. It was simple, profound and it told her so much in just a single sentence there would be a noticeable flare of power that would of been felt from miles around. But it wasn't because she let it, because she wanted him to know.
She'd set the card down next to the stump, staring at it for a few long moments. She'd gingerly take her position again and lapse into her meditation once more. The second time mimicked the first, but the mints sat underneath her. While they didn't so much provide subsistence they were helping get rid of that awful taste in her mouth and the pang of hunger subsided as it was tamed with such a simple tactic.
The second card along with the picture was left next to the other one. Just out of reach of her long lanky limbs but close enough to where if she needed a reprieve she had something to cope with.
The empty cases sat off to the side, gently singing soft lies that the renamon had been the one to take them and use them. But her silence didn't bring with the fact she had put others above herself multiple times already. It didn't tell him the fact that nothing but the mints had been hers truly.
The first key is control.
This line punctuated her thoughts, over and over and over again. It pushed her envelope, pushed her perception, pushed her emotions and thoughts into other places. She was in control of herself truly and utterly....
But she was still not ready, she was not there yet. She couldn't be. She had learned of only the first key, knowing of the three following it easily but she didn't understand them as easily as she understood this. Jesmon's voice barely reached her this time around as her perception had dimmed so much that he needed to forcibly pull her back to talk to her. His voice was quiet, distant and barely able to even reach her even after he had pulled her back.
"....is here..."
The pressure that she was pushing out ceased almost for a brief moment before she slowly opened her eyes. It eased out after a few long moments of her looking around without moving her head. Her eyes slid down the forms of the items given to her. Her head tilted slowly as she noted the curled form of mikemon. She'd gently let herself float down to sitting on the stump before slowly exhaling. Her pressure grew warm almost immediately; rather than being the oppressive aura of a super mega.
"Mikemon."

Despite the overwhelming pressure that K had been giving off, the Mikemon found himself quite comfortable in her presence. She was never difficult to find, of course, both scaring off and attracting quite a varied crowd, but the Renamon's aura meant something different to the doctor - and it didn't just have to do with the fact that it was her feel, enveloping the area. No, there was something else to it, something more homely that made it so much easier for the feline to relax.
Though, when the aura finally did change, K stirring as she realized the feline's presence, Mikemon felt his eyes slowly open. Pulled from his nap, the cat stifled a yawn, stretching out his back as he briefly stood on all fours, ear twitching as K addressed him. He gave a smirk, returning a small chuckle to the Renamon's dry introduction.
"K."
Keeping his grin, the doctor slowly rose up to his feet, his eyes briefly looking around the warped setting. There was a mix of signs: some new life sprung from the ground, while some branches snapped in half. It was clear that the Renamon was the source of this 'disturbance', this almost chilling sense of calm. "Sorry if I disturbed you by lingering here a touch too long. I told myself at the start that I wasn't going to interrupt your meditation, but, well, you looked like you needed something." Seeing the empty case of water from the last visit, just a few yards away from the items he brought this time - the same as the last, save a different card sealed in an envelope - the Mikemon gave a nod, ear twitching at a gentle breeze.
"... It's nostalgic." Mikemon settled on those words, his attention returning to the Renamon. "It's been a while - quite a long while - but I've felt this kind of power before, brimming underneath the surface. Figuring out how to shape it, attracting all kinds of an unruly sort... can't say I miss it, but it does leave quite an interesting dream from time to time."
That said, the cat shook his head. That was all well in the past, right? K didn't even know what the cat was like so many years ago...
"Making any headway into it?"

It made sense he would react to when K addressed him, she could feel the warmth that was shared between the two of them. She sat there for a moment unmoving on the trunk. She'd gingerly scoot to the side and pat the stump offering the mikemon a seat. She'd shake her head just a little bit when he apologized about interrupting her.
"My meditation doesn't stop even now, my concentration is split most certainly but... If I stop completely it's not pretty."
Her ears flicked and the renamon looked behind her, where if the mikemon decided to look carefully enough there would be a small patch of dead grass along with a place where a tree should of been.
"I.. knew it was you bringing those things. I appreciate it. It's helped quite a few people on their travels and this stump too."
She'd gingerly pat the top of the stump again smiling as she could see the wood respond positively to her very touch. It was almost as she was getting linked with this place... But she didn't want to really explain everything out. He might not like the fact she's giving the things he intended for her out to people he didn't know.
"The mints are incredibly helpful by the way."
She'd tilt her head just a little bit, flicking them forward out of curiosity and staring at them for a few long moments. What about it was nostalgic? She sat there mulling over the idea. The gentle breeze that continued on made her cloak flutter just a bit and the metal parts clinked against one another gently.
"It's certainly unlike anything I've ever felt... Do you remember where you felt this power before? Wait.. it attracted others?"
She'd blink owlishly and stare at the cat for a long few moments. She hesitantly reached out.. taking his hand if he let her. She'd give it a gentle squeeze if so but if not it'd fall limply on the stump. His question made her pause. She sat there for almost a full fifteen minutes saying nothing, the line in her head repeating over and over. Then she spoke.
"The First key is Control."
The resounding crack of her saying this out load was enough to make some of the trees nearby lean away from them but the stump seemed to bristle a bit and even beamed at the sheer display of energy.
"There are other keys I found, but I don't have the locks yet...."

Indeed, K's aura still radiated out from her form in an impressive amount - her focus was still primarily on whatever mantra she had in her head, or whatever revelation she was trying to reach. On the note of breaking focus, the feline's eyes drifted over to where K glanced over, a definite burn left on the grass.
Right, probably better that the cat try and stay on topic. His ear twitched as the cat learned where his gifts were going... to travelers that had come along? Climbing up on the tree stump next to K, the feline chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "That so? I figured you might need the supplies if you were going to be out here for so long... but not everyone goes through it the same way." Even so, the cat would still likely bring the same gifts over - especially the mints! "I'm glad. Wish I thought of them the first time, but sometimes all you need is a change in feel to look at things another way."
Talks about gifts aside, the conversation quickly turned to a new point, about nostalgia and what the Mikemon was like in the past. More than ever before, the feline gave quite a hint about who he was, a soft smile crossing his face as K asked those questions. "I was in the depths of the Dark Area. And yes, it attracted others: those wanting to listen, join, and even fight."
Honestly, if K asked further, Mikemon probably would explain his whole story. Feeling her hand, Mikemon gently grasped his own paw around her's... and for a while, the two sat in silence. Perhaps K was compiling her thoughts, or perhaps she slipped right back in that meditative state. The calm silence set in for so long, that K's booming voice was enough to make the feline's fur stand on edge.
'The First Key is Control'. Mikemon blinked, looking over to K as he processed her words. "... Those keys? I haven't heard that all in an eon, but..."
Just how was he going to put it? The cat mulled it over, taking a breath, before starting to recite. The tone was clear that he was telling a story, not necessarily his own words:
"On his deathbed, I once asked a wise one about how he came to be, how he came to lead. He gave a smile, and I lent him my ear, to learn the six keys.
The first two were those held in oneself, the keys of capacity. The first, Power, the second, Control. For how can you change yourself without ability?
The second set were those you had to find, the keys of reason. The third, Knowledge, the fourth, Anger. For what other reason would you need to use the power? Without a drive, there would be no reason to proceed.
The third set were keys one had to forge, the keys of drive. The fifth, Justice, and the sixth, Determination. For how can you expect to see it through to the end if you lack the resolve?
'Master these keys, young one,' the old 'mon said, 'And the very world will be in the palm of your hands.'"
Taking a breath, Mikemon's eyes slowly opened, letting a lull of silence hit the air once more.

K nervously rubbed the back of her neck and gazed around, her stomach rumbled hungrily but she simply stifled the sensation once again with feeding in some energy to that particular need. It wasn't difficult, just routing a little energy that she naturally produced.
"Energy is energy, I've been funneling some energy into my stomach and general metabolism in order to sort of uhm... Avoid eating and other things. It's kind of invigorating."
She'd admit sheepishly as she gently, rather lovingly ran her hand through the fur ontop of the cat's head. She felt a little silly giving them away after thinking about it but other people and this stump had needed it more than she.
"I'm... maybe... A fourth of the way through this? I could be wrong. At this rate i'm going i might be out here for almost a year."
She'd sigh softly and gently lean her head back, she could feel the echo of her mantra start to fade... But it doubled almost immediately when her concentration on it was increased. Her eyes flicked down from where she was looking to the mikemon when he spoke of the dark area.
You were slain.
You lacked the keys.
You lacked the locks.
It was only natural you lost, it isn't something you need to worry over.
The voice was something akin to her own, it was supportive and gentle. It brushed against her conscious so suddenly and so quickly her control was threatened for all of a moment. But rather than let it go, the 'voice' firmly grasped it and handed it back to her.
You will find me when the time is right.
Like that it vanished and she was left with the knowledge of Jesmon still addressing her. His voice was still too quiet for her really to hear other than a few words. She pushed him forward a bit and was thankful that she did as the mikemon had reacted to what felt poorly to how she told him about the first key.
"The keys of digivolution, their number is unknown to me but..."
The voice that was so soft and elegant had made her pause considerable and almost had lost everything at that moment. Which would of forced her to start over was so quick to help her it didn't seem right. She'd close her eyes and flick her ears as the mikemon started to speak.
She felt rage start to boil up from jesmon but something else grasp it and forced it into silence. There was an unbidden sensation that the both of them were just supposed to listen.
Each word that was given to her and she sat there thinking them over. Control she understood, but it wasn't second. It was the first. And anger? That didn't make sense.. Knowledge? Well. It'd be something most would get, and Justice would be exemplified for every person that followed law... Determination would of course be very strong.
S.... S.....
Something echoed and it was so profound and powerful the renamon's eyes widened drastically and she'd grip the mikemon's hand. She'd shake her head a little bit and continue on her mantra.
"The Six keys of Digivolution as seen by...."
She'd stare at the mikemon and there wasn't a frown, there wasn't sadness there was just soft confusion. She'd gingerly cup a cheek and turn his head if he let her to look at her.
".....Tell me who you are so I can understand."

Energy was energy? As K's stomach protested and the Renamon once more flooded her excess energy to try and sate that need, the Mikemon gave a small blink to K's reasoning. It wasn't incorrect, actually - it was just that the general focus needed to pull something like that off was pretty high. Well, that, and using energy in that way wasn't actually replacing anything in the long term. "Well, doing that should be fine in your meditative phase. Just remember to take care of yourself, alright?"
That, and the general estimate of time aside, the two would be able to enjoy each-other's presence for several minutes. In that long bout of silence, the cat gave an occasional tighter grip against the Renamon's hand, a sentiment that might have been returned at a few points. Like this, the two were comfortable and content, growing quite used to each-other the few weeks the two had been together.
But soon enough, past that silence, that very trust would be challenged. Mikemon's own mantra filled the air, a small, tense silence filling the gap as K tried to process it. Yes: these six keys were not the ones that K had known, not the ones that Jesmon were trying to drive into her mind. Her tone was confused, her aura disturbed - and soon enough, the feline found that paw at her cheek, amber eyes meeting the icey gaze of the Renamon.
".....Tell me who you are so I can understand."
At those words, the Mikemon's hand flinched around the Renamon's. Sensitive as K was, she might even feel the data in Mikemon's core flex, his eyes briefly looking away from the fox. A great temptation filled the feline's head - to lie, to simply refuse to answer, to just leave it in silence. He had gotten on along like this fine for so long... but to reveal this meant to risk it all! However, even as his heart quaked with fear, the cat gave a nod, his gaze returning right back to K's. A sense of resolve filled his eyes, as he gave his answer:
"Alright." Resting his hand against the back of K's arm, pausing to give it a gentle stroke, he would slowly move that hand away. His other hand remained clenched around the Renamon's, as the doctor slowly pulled together his words. Thinking it through, he slowly extended a hand out, half of his arm vanishing in that familiar dark portal. Drawing the red crystal, a familiar sight, into his hand, he offered it to the Renamon for observation.
"This item isn't something I've acquired - nor is it a skill I've taken from another Digimon. Rather, it's the last hint to who I used to be, four hundred years ago. Just like you have Hackmon's hood, I have this crystal... the jewel, of the Staff of Barbamon." That name would be one that Jesmon would recognize - and Mikemon couldn't hide it any longer. Giving a sigh and a tired smile, the Mikemon closed his eyes, giving his answer:
"I am not just some Barbamon, K. I am... the Thirty-Sixth Incarnation of Greed, the Demon Lord, as well as a ruler of the Dark Area in my time." His eyes opened, a slight red glint taking over a gleam of his eye. "Many followed me, and for a time, I felt my rule unstoppable. Those with me roared in victory, and those against quivered in fear... until, one day... I learned satisfaction." The cat sighed, shaking his head. "When I learned that the Royal Knights of my time were coming, I feared - not for myself, but for those in my rule. Rather than risk a fight that would undoubtedly cost my men their lives, I split my wealth and hid, living like a nomad until I finally found a way to hide my aura as a Demon Lord. Stripping myself down to my mere Champion form."
He sighed once more, a deep breath escaping his lungs. It wasn't just bluster: "Jesmon can confirm it. Look carefully, just for a moment." Closing his eyes, falling into a brief meditative state, Mikemon's data gave a flare. His aura had a fire-like color, with a sickly black wisp around the tips of the flames, much darker and more 'sinister' than that of a mere Devimon. He only kept that state for about five seconds, before letting the data settle - his more calm, 'blue' data taking hold around himself once more.
"..."
Now everything was on the table.

"I'll likely need to be eating what you brought along this time around, But long term wise I should be fine as long as I sprinkle in food."
There was a soft snicker and she'd lapse into silence, just enjoying being around this mon. Her mantra was easier, fresh flowing and just simple when he was here. There was a distant echo of something powerful so the renamon frowned after a few long moments, mulling over the fact.
The keys he had suggested were strange to her, but then again they were the keys he knew of. Or he had learned. The latter of the two would be so very much more terrifying if that was the case. Someone with access to all six would be a force to truly be reckoned with.
S.... S....
The echo was getting stronger, but the fact it was just a single letter the renamon avoided thinking too hard about it. So she moved on to the matter at hand... She could feel the reaction from her words to the mikemon as well, it wasn't a surprise in the least bit. It was something so fundementally powerful, asking someone to tell them something like that was just.
It was a test that she didn't mean to impose.
Jesmon on the other hand had stopped working, but K's mantra continued. Something somewhere else picked up the Super-Mega's slack if only for a few moments. She saw that fear for a long stretch of time in his eyes, she could feel the quaking of his heart. She'd cradle the digimon in her arms gently rubbing his back even though he wasn't even sitting in a position she could do this easily with.
She sat there in silence, watching the mikemon. Her expression was neutral but there was a glint of familiarity in the eyes of the renamon. Not from her so much but more from the jesmon that she hosted. There was a soft edge of confusion but as mikemon explained. The jesmon's anger started to blossom. It threatened to try to overtake the renamon and she had to stand up after a few moments.
She didn't want to do anything to him, she turned the idea of taking the crystal down. She had seen it many times and knew of it; but she wasn't going to let this anger consume her. She wanted to walk over to one of the nearby trees; but rather she just held her breath as there was a long pause. She could feel jesmon's anger threatening to boil over.
Then came the actual explanation, she'd gaze back when he said a name she recognized but didn't know exactly everything about them. She saw that red glint for a moment, that's when jesmon's anger start to peak.
She could feel the fear still of the mikemon, her pressure was likely all out of whack. Everything he did only served to make the super mega seethe in rage. She'd grit her teeth for a long few moments. She could feel that sinister aura, she could feel everything about it and i twas so close.
Jesmon easily could snap him and tear him asunder. The silence threatened to hit a crescendo before K did something that in all rights she shouldn't even have to think about.
The renamon sighed gently and gingerly accepted the fact that the person next to her was once A demon lord. The sheer amount of anger that jesmon was feeling on her behalf faltered. Fell quickly and the Super mega was left baffled with the emotion that overtook it.
She'd gently, if not firmly cup both of the Mikemon's cheeks. Staring firmly at him for a long few moments before giving him a very much needed hug. She sat there in silence for what felt like hours. But realistically was only a couple minutes.
Her voice was soft, gentle and re-assuring; the anger that jesmon had tried to push so hard on her felt bland and wanting.
"I think I know what one of the keys are thanks to you. I don't blame you for doing what you did, I don't know how it feels to do any of those things. I only know how to fight, be an innkeeper and treat people for minor wounds."
She'd pull back from the hug and gently tap the mikemon's nose with a small smile.
"All jesmon knows how to do is how to be Knightly and focus on just the black and white from how he's been acting."
She'd look over the aura for a few long moments, gingerly running her hand through it if she was allowed. She'd exhale sweetly and gently take mikemon's hand and put it to her chest.
"You know as well as I, you won't be that again. Even if you attain that form, even if you get that form again. I'll come, We won't have to even fight or do anything stupid. It'll just end before it starts."
There was a small pause and she'd get a small but quaint smile...
"Forgiveness is Key."

It was a test she didn't mean to impose. And it was an anger she didn't mean to show.
Indeed, Mikemon's heart quaked with fear, as every single word fell out from him. How could it not? It was a revelation so shocking, that the Renamon's hand slipped away from his own, the fox tensely examining him from several yards away. The fox's aura flared in a duet, combinations of anger and confusion reigning her tone. As he spoke his past name, that anger peaked up - and as the feline showed his aura, it threatened to completely overtake the fox.
Honestly, Mikemon wouldn't have been surprised if Jesmon took over, and took it upon himself to attack the Doctor. He wouldn't be surprised if K thought him a monster for what he had done... and he wouldn't be surprised if he'd never see K again, with this revelation. Above all, this fear of the latter held a great grip over the feline's heart. What would she think? What would she do? The feline closed his eyes, awaiting to hear her answer, and the likely end of something.
There was silence. Followed by a pressure at his cheeks. Blinking, finding those palms against his face, the cat sheepishly looked right into K's eyes, before he was pulled into a hug. His eyes were left wide open, his arms taking a moment to rest against her shoulders, before the Renamon started to speak.
She didn't blame him. She admitted Jesmon's discomfort, and even insinuated her own bias, as she warmly held the cat in her arms. A promise was made, to keep the cat's darker form in check - and there was even mention of one of her own keys, driving right back on topic. For a moment, the feline didn't know how to act:
"Keh... K..."
Scratch that. He didn't know what to do, entirely: what happened next was with nothing but a flurry of emotion. With those fingers trailing through his aura - still light blue, and warm in K's presence - as well as one hand pressed against the fox's mane, the feline would lean in, hugging around the Renamon's shoulders.
His lips pressed forward, and locked against her's, pressing in for a kiss. He had no words, but this act summed up how he felt in the moment, better than a thousand words ever would.

What was she supposed to really do, what was she really supposed to say other than she supported him in some fashion? How powerful of a promise did she have to make to settle the fear she could see sweltering under the surface of someone she was starting to slowly understand and work with?
She knew him, knew the things he did and the things he had done. Knew where he came from but not where he was going. That was fine to her in the long run, that was fine with her in the shortness of what could be perceived as a life for her.
Silence of course overwhelmed the both of them, they sat there quietly again. She made sure to let him know with simple gestures, simple words that even though she was struggling she would help him. She could feel the semblance of confusion consume him for a long few moments, but the flurry of emotion that followed suit was so raw and unexpected it wasn't until they were into that kiss that she even reacted.
There was a slight widening of the eyes but she didn't stop him, gingerly she'd grip his back. Press against him for maybe a few long moments before drawing away; her cheeks rosy red even through her fur. She could feel her own emotions get the better of her.
Her understanding of control however, didn't waiver in the slightest. If anything the mikemon with their interactions with her only heightened the result. It took everything she had not to explode outwards into raw emotions. She sat there quietly staring at mikemon before gingerly thumbing over his ears.
"You certainly know exactly what to do just to get me all flustered don't you?"
There was an edge of teasing to her voice, but she honestly enjoyed the exchange they just had and she'd gingerly pull the mikemon off of the stump and into her lap. Firmly hugging him against her with a resounding huff. She wanted to smother him with affection and lose herself into that sensation earlier but... Rather than do anything foolish she just let herself gently give him the best kind of affection she could.
"I admit, back when you came to my inn for the first time and asked me to come to whitewater. It took everything I had to say no."

The kiss came, sudden and unexpected even for the Mikemon that started it. It took a moment for the feline to even realize what he had done, but as the Renamon returned the act, he pressed even closer, his hands firmly gripped around her shoulders. Those few moments both seemed to last an eternity, and yet not nearly long enough.
As K slowly pulled away, Mikemon would slowly give a blink. His own white cheeks gave a blush just as deep as her's, a small smile resting on the cat's lips. He'd never felt closer to K than right there, in that moment. It seemed that nothing more needed to be said between them, the two simply looking at each-other... though as K broke the tension, pressing a single finger against the back of the cat's ear, Mikemon returned a chuckle, gently batting at that hand.
"What can I say? You're the one I've fallen for." Teasing right back, he felt himself plucked up, resting on one of K's legs, as she once more held him in a tight hug. With the side of his head resting against her fur, Mikemon returned a light nuzzle, his right hand carefully stroking down the fox's side. Indeed, he wanted to 'lose himself' as well, as much or more than she did, but this simply wasn't the place nor the time for it.
And that was fine. Hearing her words, he returned another chuckle: "That so? All I knew from you back then was that you had a level head on your shoulders, that you would have made a good protege. I never would have thought it would have turned out like this, in more ways than one." Gently loosening his grip in the hug, he looked right up towards K: "Just like neither of us know what's going to happen going forward. Regardless..."
With his own smile, he took K's hand in his own, giving a firm grip: "I don't know how long the road for you is going to be. And the way fate's been messing with the world as a whole, I don't know how the road will be for myself, either. Still, whatever happens, I won't be far off from you. At the end of all this - when you finally find yourself, and realize your role in this world you were thrust into? Just know I'll be there."
He gave a smirk at the end, a small wink given to the fox. "It's the least I can do."

K would give the mikemon a small smile, feeling her body shift just a little bit when he gently batted her hand. He knew she would give him plenty of affection and attention to his ears if he let her. But that'd get them off topic pretty damn quickly.
She was about to say something profound; something deep and meaningful but then he said that whole fallen line and the renamon tensed up for a moment. Her face turning bright bright red and she'd pause in her ministrations of affection. With a soft huff she'd gently push her forehead against his, rather firmly even if there was not much more she could do. His touching to her body only served to make her shiver a little bit; she wasn't sure what she should be doing now... past her mantra. Past her control. She didn't have a clue about the desire at this moment, but she did know about what it meant if ever shared.
"Life is a wierd, but somewhat lovely mistress. I don't think it could of turned out any better even if we had tried from the get go. As far as a level head and what not? Well... Kind of had to be with who I had working under me"
She'd snicker a bit and give him a grin, tilting her head a little bit when he suggested that neither of them would know what was going to happen when they went forward. There was a soft moment of hesitation and she'd say something remarkably unsuited to her, remarkably unsuited to where they were, what they were doing and what they were talking about that the deafening silence that would likely follow was only punctuated by the sheer crimson hue of her face.
She'd cough and stammer just a bit at her muck up before huffing a little bit; she didn't feel the control slipping at all. She didn't think that it was possible for her to deal with all of this at once but sh wasn't going to argue with the results. She wasn't going to argue with the fact that this mikemon had made such an impact on her.
"F-feh!..... I... Ugh.. Thank you mikemon I. We're really two peas in the same pod aren't we?"

In all, the Mikemon was content - more content, than he had ever been in a long time. Just a few minutes ago he was scared of losing it all, of letting this opportunity fall through his paws because of what he was - but K accepted everything that he was. It didn't come without hesitation, without 'fighting with her other selves', but in this clearing, the two had definitely made a pact: K would look out for him, and in turn, he'd look out for her.
It seemed silly to put it in such simple terms, but in hindsight, despite all of the craziness, perhaps it just simply was that simple. "Heh. I guess you do need a bit of patience for something like that..." Warm as the tone was, the Mikemon's words felt almost idle in comparison to what they had just talked about. In time, he figured he would have to make his way back to the office, and for a while, this pattern would continue - K would meditate, and Mikemon would send out a package and a card, to help her in any way he could. In his mind, there was just no possible way, that...
T-that...
"..." As K's suggestion left her lips, and that sharp blush crossed her cheeks, the Mikemon simply looked stunned for the moment. A dead silence filled the air between them, the Renamon coughing, perhaps unsure of what she just said herself. At that, though, the Mikemon gave his own blush, and leaned in, scratching at the Renamon's chin with the back of his knuckle.
His eyes stared into her own, a nod and a smile given as his answer. A hand slipped off to the side, stroking through the fox's fur, as he would reply to her last comment:
"I suppose we are, K. Or perhaps, even closer."

K could feel the sheer level of content from the mikemon with him being so close to her. It wasn't hard for her to read him normally even if she wasn't dealing with all these problems. She could feel jesmon somewhere off in the background being grumpy and there was a small pat on the back from examon.
One approved and the other was having such intense mixed feelings of respect and.. other very incredibly aggressive feelings they tried to overtake her own emotions. But then there was that soothing gentle presence that bumped those to the side like it was nothing.
It was something worrying to her, but was it her core acting on her desires? Or perhaps another entity in it's entirety that was trying to watch out for her. She'd find out later of course.
"Most of my life has been patience, I think I can manage for a wee bit longer no?"
There was a snicker and she'd gingerly keep on her affections. But with her suggestion hanging in the air she still wasn't sure what she was thinking. There was that dead silence, and then of all things the mikemon scratched the bottom of her chin making her body shudder a bit.
"....are you... suggesting..."
There was a soft moment of weakness, a moment where she almost lost control completely and wanted to dive into the soft embrace of the other. But she recanted; she yanked herself back in such a fashion that let her do something much more passionate.
If she had lost herself to her emotion at that point, she doubted she would of been able to get control back again. Which mean that the passion, sheer emotion and the gentleness that she normally held was a part of this next action. She gripped the mikemon hard of course during sharing another kiss with him.
She could feel her tail thrashing a bit behind her, but she didn't care. She lost herself in the moment. She didn't let her control skip out but thankfully she didn't need to worry too much. She knew that this would only end well...
and thus came something she had never experienced.

'A wee bit longer' was perhaps all that K needed to wait. With the Renamon's suggestion in the air, everything outside of the moment seemed secondary. The keys, the packages, Mikemon's history, and K's future: these were all but soft noises in the background, reminders tucked away in the back of the head to make space for the moment between them. The doctor leaned forward, the light scratch at her chin turning to a soft pet of her neck.
K's words were met with a simple, warm nod, a pause given as his warm expression looked into her careful gaze. It took the Renamon a minute longer to compose herself, but it didn't take long for her fall to her passion, a tight hug and vivid kiss shared between them. He gave his own hug back around her, losing himself just as much as the Renamon did. With a purr roaring from his chest and his own tail flicking behind him... well...
What happened next would be burnt into their hearts.
Out here in these light woods, it was easy to lose track of time - not that any of it mattered to the cat at this point. It was clear that the sun peaked through a different point of the trees, a fresh ray of light settling right upon the Mikemon's face...
... But the cat did not stir, not right away. Resting, content and blissfully, the Mikemon adjusted his neck, nuzzling ever closer to that Renamon, a warm purr rumbling against the fox's neck. Briefly, he'd open an eye, to still see that white fox less than an inch away.
"Oh, K..." His voice was warm, barely above a whisper against her ear: "I love you." He nestled right back against her.
