In this case, foresight really wasn't on Dr. Mikemon's side.
The doctor, having heard of the Digital Field Club, was more than happy to join. What better way to use this newfound enthusiasm for knowledge than to help these relatively new pairs of Tamer and Digimon? The rather varied group would undoubtedly have several meetings in that run-down office building - and at the time, Mikemon didn't think much of it. As the meeting came to a close, though, one particular, blinding question cropped up:
"... Shoot, never gave a thought of where I'd be staying..."
And so came the rather interesting sight of the hooded cat following behind Haru, on a scenic sidewalk running alongside the Shibuya River. Thankfully, it was late enough in the afternoon that the roads weren't crowded. Still, there was always a slight risk traveling like this... well, out in the open, anyway. Once he had a good idea where Haru's abode was, he figured that slipping on through wouldn't be too much of a problem on his own.
Making sure that no-one was around to hear, the feline spoke up: "Thanks for doing this, by the way. Honestly, this completely slipped my mind." Even so, in the back of the cat's head, a few questions stirred up: did Haru's family know about Tawna, or would he have to hide away in some closet or corner? Would he have to disguise himself as a stuffed animal? Would Tawna even tolerate having him around?
All valid questions, but none worth asking - at least, not yet! For now, the cat kept the cloak held around himself, following in-step with the tamer.

When Haru had first stumbled upon the advert for the Digital Field Club in the first place, she never expected to end up with a roomie by the end of the meeting. Given, it was a very impromptu suggestion on her part, realizing that the lone individual Digimon of the group was at the very least needing a place to hide out in the human world. A strong feeling of liberality ended up being a strong driving point for the blue-outfitted Japanese girl's offer towards the good doctor, that being to squat at her place.
Well, it wasn't like she already wasn't breaking her lodging's rules about cats... what more could one more sentient, talking, digital cat offer?
It was convenient that Haru had recently moved into an apartment (her folks having helped settle her in a fairly cheap spot). Given, she had lied that her primary motivation towards moving out on her own was to become more independent... when the truth was more that Haru wanted to avoid any risk now of Tawna being revealed to her parents. It was bad enough at the household with her sister having their own partner, and frankly it was better for both of the Toriya sisters to take at least one Digimon out of the equation.
A five-star hotel Haru's apartment was not. The rather run-down apartment complex was off in the rather dubious parts of Central Shibuya, only a brisk walk away from the famous (with at least a dozen quotation marks) Shibuya River. Fortunately, it was also both pretty cheap and had few residents, so Haru being followed by the short cloaked-Mikemon was luckily not noticed by unsuspecting eyes.
"No prob doctor! I do admit this place ain't exactly luxury lodging, but it's way easier than having to bunk at my parents. I mean, I guess also my sister... but her Tinkermon is weird. Like, really weird." the girl ended rambling for a bit as she walked up to her doorstep, fumbling arond in her pockets for her keys.
Poking out of Haru's bag, Tawna in her Meicoomon crawled out into the open (briefly stretching themselves all cat-like). "It's good enough for me." the maine coon dully spoke as they stared at their tamer in anticipation, briefly throwing glances at Dr. Mikemon. She was... less openly hostile towards Digimon as a whole these days, but she still found the idea of sharing living space a bit discomforting. The feline enjoyed (well, preferred) her solitude whenever possible, though she refused to try and argue back at Haru; the gogglehead was in her eyes clearly the more "sensible" of the two socially, something she'd leave the girl to when moments such as those arise.
"I dunno... I mean, you kinda have some weird tastes Tawna. Didn't you sleep in an abandoned dumpster by my house before I met ya?" the girl ended up briefly asking the Meicoomon, flipping through her keychain as she attempted to find which was the right one (she still had keys to her parents' home, then her grandmother's out of town... she still had no idea why she needed that one).
Tawna just seemed to shrug, not even denying that claim. "It was dark and no one bothered it. Home is where the heart is."

And Mikemon was grateful for the offer! Having to wing between the station and the office every time he needed to meet with the group wasn't likely to go over well in the long run (someone was going to see him in the business district, at some point!) so this at least would give him a temporary place to bounce in and out when the team was particularly active.
As for the appearance of the apartment, the feline gave a shrug: "I've seen worse. Honestly, you're the first I've met on this side whose had their own place at all." And besides, this far out of the way, Mikemon could practically stay outside without a disguise and be alright a good amount of the time. Case in point, even Tawna decided to slip out of the bag, the two cats waiting on the doorstep as Haru shuffled through an unexpected number of keys.
Idly waiting, Mikemon's gaze caught Tawna's occasional glance, feeling an almost feral sense watching over him. It was enough to put just a slight tinge of unease in the cat, enough to know that he'd probably do better to stay out of her way. Come to think of it, the cat was like that at the meeting too: she spent a good amount of time settled on Haru's lap under the table, rather than talking with the rest of the group. Well, no reason to force it - maybe she'd warm up eventually?
That she slept in a dumpster outside the house, though, earned a slight chuckle from the cat. "Better than nothing, but you might have been kicking yourself, come winter." That, or when someone just needed to dump off a load of garbage without paying for it, the Meicoomon might have been a little ticked! "So," the cat turned his attention to Haru, "What brought you to the club in the first place?"

Tawna just seemed to lightly shrug at her fellow feline. She wasn't one to be openly chatty, but his statement was true that the human winter was rather irritating; she did manage it though.
In regards to how Haru ended up going to the meeting, it was fortunately a pretty simple affair. Even then, the possible implications the club had to offer excited Haru at what the future could hold. "Well, I saw it online and was curious about it! I'm not sure how much I'll be of use really since... well, I'm not really the sharpest tack in the toolbox, but I want to at least try. There's so much that we all could learn from this, and maybe I'll have some questions of mine answered too." she ended up speaking, finally managing to get the right key, motioning to unlock the door.
Turning on the light to the somewhat average apartment showcased just how poor it's conditions really were. A rather musky smell could be caught in the rather shoddy-looking front room. In it, a sofa (with some claw marks patched up with duct tape) and a small tv on a table with some last generation videogame consoles and a VCR player by it. One could see a small kitchen and a mini-fridge in the back, with an open pantry filled with surprisingly a lot of snack foods and sweets (Haru admittingly knew they were not rightfully obtained, but that was a moot point now). Finally off to the left was a hallway leading to two bedrooms (one unused), and a small bathroom. Strewn all over was loose junk, wrappers and even some clothing.
The girl walked in (Tawna already making a dive for the couch), she stretching slightly as she walked in and threw her bag off to the side. "Well, welcome to Castle a la Toriya! Not much, but it's home!" the girl welcomed the doctor, briefly heading into the kitchen area as she began to get herself a glass of water. Today had been a very exhausting day for her vocal chords, if just because of all the talking.
Tawna meanwhile had seemed to finally find a spot on the couch's upper rim (laying on it appropriately cat-like). However, the Meicoomon's form didn't last for long as their form shimmered in light as the textures of their body... it expanding size as it's wireframe form shifted into that of a more feminine, humanoid version of the maine coon... complete with stinger tail. Three small sphere-like creatures seemed to materialize around the Meicrackmon Vicious Mode, they mew-ing softly as the Ultimate lounged on the rim of the couch... a bit awkwardly considering their size and human-like proportions, but they didn't seem to mind.
"Err... don't mind her. She hates being anything but her Ultimate level form." Haru ended up awkwardly mentioning as she came back out of the kitchen, not wanting for the doctor to misinterpret things the wrong way. "So anything I can get for ya? Uhh... I got some ramen."

Online posting, huh?
To another human, that would have made perfect sense: drop the word 'Digimon' on the internet and the only people who would understand you are those who already knew about it. The Mikemon, however, seemed a little lost at the start, merely nodding past that one word he didn't know a lot about. "Heh. I'll be interested to see what we can all pull off!" Armed with nothing but themselves and something of an upgraded scanner, this group of more-or-less complete strangers would have their work cut out for them.
Well, that was the thought going forward. For now, it was just a matter of finding a place to stay: as Haru finally managed to get the door open - after Tawna bolted right in front of him - Mikemon would take a careful step inside. The Doctor hadn't expected much, of course. What took him most by surprise was the general disarray the main room seemed to be in - trash and clothes were strewn about the ground, so much so that he felt he might have to tip-toe around! Admittedly, there was a slight hesitation before the feline gave a nod to Haru's introduction.
Still, despite the mess, the cat finally settled: "This will do just fine. More space than I imagined, honestly." There was really a second, vacant bedroom here? Giving just one glance down the hall, he briefly wondered where Tawna ended up sleeping - ah, speaking of that, the Meicoomon finally decided to shed out of her 'uncomfortable' form. Mikemon had heard her asking to take this form a few times, but he didn't think that she'd immediately take the form! Briefly shielding his eyes from the glow, Dr. Mikemon gave a glance or two to her evolved from... still balanced on the top rim of the couch.
Relaxed as ever. "Hm?" Twitching his ear, the Mikemon returned a chuckle: "Heh, I don't mind - though I think I'll stay as I am for the time being." Whatever it took to stretch out the legs, right? Pulling off his cloak, he gave another nod: "If you're offering, sure. And... hm." No hooks on the wall either, huh? Hanging onto that 'coat' awkwardly for a second, the cat eventually gave a shrug, hanging it over the back of a folding chair.
As Haru would head off to get the likely-instant-ramen ready, the Mikemon would settle on in near the couch as well. As Tawna took the top, Mikemon sat on the floor, leaning his head back against the cushion. He looked up, spotting one of those floating... cat-balls? "Interesting," the cat mentioned, leaning further back to look to the Meicrackmon. "I'm not familiar, what are they? Defense programs?"

"Same! There's so much I still don't know about Digimon and the Digital World... and I want to know more about why us humans are getting involved!" she added on, happy to see that Dr. Mikemon held her own ethusiasm and hopes for the group. Maybe they all were a bunch of ragtag individuals, but she saw big things for this.
With everyone inside now, Tawna merely shrugged at the doctor's insistence on keeping their current form. She held no issues regarding Digimon if they wished to hold inferior forms, she just disliked her weaker forms. "You are free to. I just dislike being short." she casually commented, looking into her cabinets the Mini-Meis hovering around the doctor curiously.
Haru just awkwardly laughed, noticing the lack of places for the other feline to store his things. "S-sorry. It was the cheapest place my folks and I could find without going into the REALLY bottom of the barrel places. Kinda barebones, but at least don't have to worry bout anyone noticing you guys." she commented, nodding her head as she went off to check her cabinets as she started running some water from the kitchen faucet into a pot, prepping up for the ramen. "Let me see... we have chicken-mushroom flavor, roast beef... Oh! We have some chicken yakisoba too if ya like!" she asked, giving out some options for the calico cat Digimon.
Tawna seemed to pause briefly as she stared at Dr. Mikemon with red schlera, mostly with just a look of mild confusion (the Mini-Meis parroting said look). She understood the question, though was not sure where to really start. She wasn't exactly good at conversations. "... I can blow things up with them." she deadpanly spoke as one of the Mini-Meis seemingly nuzzling Mikemon's side.
"Uhh... how about I explain? Least just off what I've seen?" Haru ended up butting into the conversation from across the room (perking up when hearing talk about explosions). "From what I can tell they kinda just come with the whole package when Tawna's in her Meicrackmon form. We call them the Mini-Meis, cause you know... they are mini, and they look like her?" she ended up speaking, a bit awkwardly pausing mid-sentence as she realized how silly that sounded. "Err... anyway, she can use them for attacks. They also kinda be used to scout things around I think, since she can see anything they see! I think they kinda have their own personalities too, cause let me tell ya... those lil' furballs are way more expressive than Tawna is ninety-eight percent of the time. Cute though for sentient bombs!" she added on, as the sound of water boiling could be heard.

Heck, why the humans were even there was a thing that Digimon only had theories about on the other side - if they could manage to get a definitive answer on that, well, a few might get their own doctorates in the Digital World!
As it was, things went smoothly enough: finally able to take off his 'coat', the doctor had given a stretch before settling down, Tawna's offhand comment making his ear give a flick. "To be honest, even if I wanted to, I can't. Mikemon's about all I can handle at the moment." The tone given was rather matter-of-fact, as if he didn't mind this form. "Though, that much is true. I have to have everything in my office fitted to work with my height... so I can somewhat proudly say I have the lowest observation beds in Whitewater." A claim to fame, that was not!
At the very least, Haru's lack of decor wasn't entirely her fault! "Eh, I can deal with bare-bones! No need to apologize, you've already done quite a bit for me. Heck, I might help pick up just so I'm not completely freeloading..." Case in point, ramen? "Ah... Roast Beef sounds good." And hopefully it was, though instant ramen could be pretty hit-and-miss.
It didn't take Mikemon long to realize that Haru was more the talker of the group. These things were bombs, and yet one was nuzzling his face? "Y-you don't say?" Unable to hold that nervous chuckle, the feline carefully put a paw to the side of the animated feline, giving it a calm pat on its cheek before gently pushing it away. No thanks to that cuddle. Haru's explanation offered a little more: "Ah, so, sentinels? I'll agree on the 'cute' part, they're definitely more animated than the kind I'm used to!" Sheesh, though, careful where those were floating!
Deciding Haru would be more apt for conversation, though, the cat perked up his voice: "Well, she's ultimate, so you two must have been at this a while? What do you two do around the Digital World? Get caught up in that Spire or D-Reaper mess?"

If there was one thing Tawna could relate to the good doctor, it was height problems. "Tell me about it. Try to get your enemy to respect you when you barely reach to their knee at best. I had to suffer through Rookie level and Champion level with that stipulation." the feminine manticore casually spoke, briefly batting away one of the Mini-Meis away from Dr. Mikemon with a tendril extending from her neck.
"Eh, I guess I'd be miffed too if I were shorter than my all my peers." Haru added in, finally pouring some of the ramen in the pot as the dry noodles, adding a second pack so there's enough for everyone... well, her and Mikemon. "You can fend for yourself, right Tawna? Or do you want some ramen too?" she ended up asking the larger feline.
"Mmmhmm. Make some of the chicken yakisoba." the Ultimate level ended up responding, she briefly scratching herself with one of her legs as she delicately balanced on the furniture. She slightly shrugged in regards to the Mini-Meis being called "cute", not really having much a personal opinion on the regard. However, a more interesting topic was how long their partnership has lasted, and the control spires. This "D-Reaper" though is a new concept for her. "... We've been together for about a month and a half. Control spire we've encountered, but never have we heard of a D-Reaper."
"D-Reaper? That sounds kinda ominous." Haru ended up adding in, stirring some of the ramen as she added in the flavor packets into the mix. [/b]"What's the D stand for even? Digital Reaper?"[/b]

"To be fair, I don't think this is too bad for 'Rookie' height?" Granted, Salamon was also losing in the size department a level down, so that was little more than an insufficient consolation. Still, managing to connect with Tawna on any level made it a little more bearable to be around these actual explosives!
The Meicrackmon wasn't one to turn down a 'free' meal, it seemed. If the doctor had to guess, this was pretty close to how the two interacted in the Digital World. Having seen the feline be quite tense and asocial at the club meeting itself, it was interesting to see her so relaxed, laid back, and disinterested. Maybe the change in form made all the difference? The Doctor didn't dwell on the thought for too long, though, his ear giving a flick as she gave that time-frame. A month and a half?
"Huh... that's remarkably quick, if you don't mind me saying." Champion made sense, sure, but some tamers never even made the jump to Ultimate. It suggested that the two could make it quite a bit further than that... well, if they managed to avoid the D-Reaper business, anyway.
"Digital Reaper is right, yeah. And unfortunately experts in that field are few and far between, and I'm not really one of them." The cat gave a sigh: just this once, he wished that Wizardmon was around to explain. "As far as I understand it, the Digital World has an automatic reaction to corruption, where it generates D-Reaper - a sort of red lichen - to eventually re-stabilize the area. Or, at least that's how I did understand it, until a giant mass somehow popped up in the middle of the Dark Area and started generating its own monsters."
The cat sighed: "Don't worry about that particular incident now; the issue's managed to be reined in a bit. Still, I'd hold your distance until we get a bit more in the news about it. Research group or not, well..." Right, some hills were too much just to jump in from the start. At least until they actually knew how the rest of them could handle themselves!
"Spire business, though? You end up taking a tower down yourselves? I find it weird we've never seen one built - they just seem to kind of crop up."

Haru somewhat figured that it probably sounded like a short period of time for her partner to reach Ultimate level when they've only known eachother for a month and a half... human time that is. "Yeah, but then again I met her as a Champion level, so the first real milestone between us was her hitting Ultimate level. She kinda just stalked me without me ever knowing for an entire year, so I guess that's why we kinda skipped the whole me finding her as an egg and so on phase. Course, I'm kinda referring to like human time... ya know, since Digimon time goes by way quicker than human time." she briefly added in her own two cents to the coversation.
"I just never thought it to be necessary until I was forced to reveal myself." the maine coon manticore-ess commented, she motioning one of her Mini-Meis to grab a remote to the television set, turning it on. The first thing to come on was what appeared to be an anime involving muscular, posing men and their ability to summon punching ghosts. "Human television is stupid." the Ultimate level dryly commented, though didn't seemed to bother changing the channel.
"No, I think you are right." Haru ended up casually commenting, still waiting for the noodles to finish boiling. The conversation regarding the D-Reaper though was certainly foreboding, an air of mystery to this thing even among Digimon (not even the doctor was able to give quite a clear answer it seemed). "So wait, it just was like making it's own Digimon? For an anti-corruption thingamabob, that seems like a kinda weird thing to start doing in digital hell as far as I can tell. It's handled though for now, right?" the girl ended up asking, tacking on yet another reason not to go to the Dark Area... at least anytime soon. "Was it really that dangerous?"
Control Spires were at least less threatening, but Haru still had the heeby-jeebies thinking about the thing. Definitely one of the weirder occurrences in the Digital World she has seen so far. "Yeah, that was one thing I kinda didn't get. It just kinda popped up, controls some Digimon with the weird black rings, then just throws anyone whose not with a ring to Rookie. I mean, I'm glad Tawna could Armor Digivolve so we could bust it apart, but that could have been really dicey."
Tawna seemed to sneer slightly at the mention of that black obelisk. "I hope to not see one of those ever again... I despise my Salamon X form. Too small and cuddly."

Oh - human time, that's right! "Sheesh, I was about to say... five months or so sounds much more reasonable than forty days." That, and with Tawna already being stable in Champion form for so long before meeting Haru, filled in a lot of the problematic holes in the story. Satisfied enough with that, the cat leaned back, his ear twitching and eyes blinking at the rather, well, random show that was playing on the television.
"... Something tells me this is popular and I'm never going to understand why." Still, a little noise in the background wasn't a bad thing, and it pulled just a bit of attention away from the D-Reaper conversation. Was it making Digimon? "Sort of, but not really. We've been calling them Agents, though they act more like advanced sentinels, with a red cord attaching them to the central field. One advantage we do have is that those are giant weak points, but..."
The cat mulled it over. "Yeah, its dangerous. It somehow ended up controlling a response squad. Details are sparse, but if its capable of something like that, I'm waiting for more information." No point trying if it was just going to control your mind anyway, right? The feline nodded as Haru spoke about the towers. "For the one that popped up around me, I was stuck as a Salamon. Just glad I was with a group that could bail me out."
At that note, the feline would try and grasp the remote from one of the Mini-Mei's: "What channel's the news on?" Anything seemed better than this, at least. This shows put way more focus on muscular chins than one could deem comfortably necessary!

Things just seemed to get increasingly more bizarre when it came to describing this D-Reaper. Here Haru thought Digimon were the only thing in the Digital World, but now this thing and it's Agents exist too? The Digital World just seemed to grow more and more odd as she learned about it... then again, wasn't that what this club was for? "So it's kinda like, the D-Reaper is the queen bee, and all of the Agents are like worker bees? That's really weird though... do we even know why it just appeared and started acting up?"
Whatever reason as to why this thing suddenly became active, it wasn't likely good. The girl felt a shiver up her spine as she finally poured the ramen into two bowls, mixing in the flavor packings while setting up for Tawna's yakisoba. "Yeesh... That's awful sounding. What even could it want?"
Tawna lightly shrugged as she motioned a Mini-Mei to drop the remote into Mikemon's paws. "More hell spawn I have no desire or plans to deal with. As long as it stays down in the Dark Area, I could care less what it wants."
"Yeah, but there's still probably Digimon down there who aren't bad. I wouldn't want to see them in danger." Haru countered, believing very well that plenty of Digimon were just normal, average, everyday people regardless of appearance or home. "Honestly, it makes me kinda worried. What'll happen if these control spires or the D-Reaper become more frequent? I'm kinda worried now how people will react if these incidents continue... If it's a problem for Digimon, you know it's probably bad." she added in, expressing her concern about the Digital World. Digimon were capable of so many amazing things, but the fact that even they had threats was a frightening thought.
She finally left the kitchen with Mikemon's bowl, setting it by the small coffee table in front of the sofa along with a pack of chopsticks. "There ya go. Channel 4 is what you'd want." she spoke, heading back to work on Tawna's food. It would likely mean her own food would get cold by then, but she didn't mind. Besides, Tawna got grumpy when not fed... and maybe she could save a couple birds' lives doing so.

A queen bee and worker bees, huh? "... Didn't think of it like that before, but that's an apt way to put it. The Agents merely share the will of the Core, so its not even like you could technically call it 'alive' - if any part of it is alive, at least. As for now, well," Mikemon gave a wave of the paw, "there was a council called in the Empyrean Skies - er, for the location of the conference, not the speakers - to discuss the matter. Apparently there will be news in the next few days, but until then, tensions are running pretty high."
As for now, Tawna had about the right thought: leave it the hell alone. To Haru's comment, Mikemon gave a chuckle: "Hey, you got that right. Dark Area version of the Gatomon family, right here." He gave a small wave, giving a chuckle as that controller fell into his paws. "There's a few down there I'm worried about, to be honest, but there wasn't much I could do about it at the time. Half not knowing, and half being... well, a Mikemon." As for what would happen if the incidents would become more frequent?
The feline sighed. "If the Spires can't get handled, defenses to the main cities will become much higher and more strict. At least in that regard, we're fairly sure that its a 'someone' and not a 'something' behind it, so its a huge mess to find the culprit. As for the D-Reaper? I don't even want to think about it."
He shuddered, just as that bowl was set in front of him. Pulling himself up to the table, he gave a nod: "Ah, thank you!" One small press of his paws together, and he pulled the chopsticks open, giving a flick through the TV channels, down to Channel 4 -
Oh look, something written entirely in Katakana. The cat blinked, tilting his head at the screen.
"... We can speak any language, but that doesn't mean we can read it," the cat mumbled to himself, with a frustrated grumble. From what he learned from Stingmon: "Rain... 30%... 7:00?"
He was guessing! For now, he started on that Ramen, giving an approving nod. Not bad for instant-noodle fare!

Seemed that this D-Reaper and the Control Spires were growing to be an issue. While Haru didn't know much how the Digital World government worked (however loose it could be referred to one), but the fact that these were issues being brought up was something to worry about. "Sounds like a real mess, huh? I hope we'll all get some answers soon..."
Haru was actually mildly surprised to hear the doctor quite... forthcoming to his species classification. As far as Haru knew, Digimon classified there were generally like dark and demonic... like a certain other feline right now. "I mean, Tawna is like Dark Area too I think? Or... is it Nightmare Soldiers? I still get all these families mixed up." she briefly commented, expressing her own mild confusion on the subject still. Even then, it was clear she had a very open-minded view on Digimon as a whole, not exactly bothered by the covers they wear. "I mean, it's not your shape, or what your data is classified as... it's what inside that counts."
Haru actually forgot that there was a language gap with Digimon, at least reading-wise. She always wondered how Tawna could speak perfect Japanese, but seemed to be unable to read any of her manga. "Y-yup! You got it! That's pretty good!" she congratulated the calico Digimon, humming slightly as she made a mental note to herself to bring an umbrella going to work tomorrow. Still, it did bring up an interesting topic. "I mean, I guess I can't blame ya. I can't read Digimoji at all. Its nice that some shops have just katakana for us humans, but I gotta have Tawna read that stuff out for me sometimes."
"Even my Digimoji is sketchy... I lived away from civilization in the Digital World for a good while." the Meicrackmon ended up commenting, briefly scratching their side some as Haru soon took a seat down next to Mikemon with two bowls, one ramen and the other yakisoba. One of her tendrils attempted to reach down to get the bowl of noodles, but Haru batted it away.
"Oh no you don't! You are sitting down and eating like a civilized person!" the Japanese girl scolded the feline, admittingly also because she didn't want the Demon Beast Digimon potentially spilling it on the carpet... it already had enough stains as is.
The Meicrackmon seemed to sigh and grumble to herself as climbed down from her perch, resting down on the other end of the sofa as she adjusted her tail to not be in either Haru or Mikemon's way. A Mini-Mei floated to grab a pair of chopsticks, handing it to their master... who begrudgingly began attempting to eat her food with it. It was mildly clear they were not as used to using the implement as Haru (or even the doctor).

Answers would come one way or another. Thankfully, the topic soon turned to a more 'social' point, and as Haru spoke of Tawna's classification, the Mikemon gave a glance over to the Meicrackmon. "Well, without breaking out the scanner, Meicoomon is a 'Nature Spirit' with quite a varied line of evolution. Its incorrect to look at her current form and simply say she's from the Dark Area. I mean, she might have been, but the majority of the species originate from the Eastern Timberlands." Hopefully that didn't come across as too brash?
At her second comment though, the cat gave a chuckle: "Right, right, trust us, we get it. Some Demon Types are quite helpful, whereas some Angels are completely corrupt politicians abusing their title and rank. It all comes in all flavors." He'd been far too old to be concerned with such stereotypes... but, if Mikemon never said it, would've Haru even known the Calico was classified as a demon beast?
Thankfully, the Mikemon's written Japanese wasn't completely inept - just mostly inept. "Mm," the cat gave a nod. "I don't even know how to fully explain it. We can speak in any language," the cat briefly switched over to English, to put credence into that, "but reading it, we have to learn the language same way any of you would have to .There's honestly a big market for Digimon able to translate from Digital Script to other written languages, so that the tamers that come through the gates aren't entirely lost. Check out Terminus, you'll see signs in Russian and German down certain streets."
As for Tawna's method of eating the ramen, well, that was a case of 'not wanting to get involved in family business'. Keeping his head low and out of the personal matter, the Mikemon silently sipped away at his own noodles, feeding them through the chopsticks. It helped to bite his tongue, and let the tension pass. He waited long enough so it wouldn't seem like he was simply trying to change the tension.
Still, he was curious:
"So, um... why the goggles?"
