"The first vestige of controlling your power is understanding it's power, where it comes from and where it goes. How you go about controlling it in your own way is important."
K drew a few lines in the air and punctuated them by her saberk lines which left after glowing effects. A complete triangle hovered there as long as she kept her hand in the same vicinity as it. It didn't have the same nature of the Saberk but it certainly looked very simular to it.
"My power is something to myself, so it developed on it's own. By it's own and for it's own. For you we must do the same, and the only way to do that is through effort and desire. Which will reward you in the same way that saberk rewarded me."
She'd gently toss the triangle around before passing it off to Dio. Were he to catch it, he wouldn't feel the same sort of power from K as she had displayed before. It was finer, much more controlled. Much more gentle and it desired to protect the one that held it. It would last for a few moments but without it's host it'd simply vanish. Even if he hadn't caught it, the result would ultimately be the same.
"So I will teach you how to control a vestige of power, something you can use and something you can use as a focus. Most of my energy is raw, unrefined in base and constant. Yours is the same but even more so."
She'd come over to dio and offer her hands palms up shifting in such a way to allow the smaller digimon to place them onto hers however he liked.
"I want you to place your hands onto mine, I will let you feel what I mean by this so you can sort of understand in a physical sense. The mind may be willing but if the body doesn't know it can't really react."
Regardless of the impmon's consistency of the matter she'd continue to explain. Slowly of course.
"You already understand how to control two elements, so controlling your own power should be possible; but changing it into a force you can use or shift with is difficult. It won't be easy and I'm not sure if you can do it in the same way as I. But this is one of the lessons I desire to teach you in the time we have. Any thoughts or concerns child?"

The small Impmon named Dio sat cross-legged on a small stump on the ground, listening intently and nodding at everything her teacher said. Had it been anyone else, he would have probably fallen asleep during her “lecture”, or gotten too distracted by something more interesting going on.
This wasn’t anyone else however; this was K, the Apostle of not one but two Royal Knights, an incredibly powerful digimon on her own right (two facts he respected and was jealous of at the same time), that had offered her time to teach the small virus digimon the ways of the Keys, as she called them, which would not only help him get stronger, but hopefully achieve the digivolution he desired so much. And perhaps more than that…
As her explanation continued, she decided to give him a more tangible example…literally, as she used her Saberk blade to manifest a small triangle of pure energy, which she then gently sent floating in Dio’s general direction. He’d catch the blue triangle between his hands, the energy construct not only feeling incredibly warm (but not hot) to the touch, as well as being lighter than a feather. Unlike the energy coming from her during their fight, this one felt completely different, less harmful, more peaceful and controlled. This wasn’t energy created with any ill intent behind it, but pure care and compassion. It would soon banish from his hands however, disappearing into infinitely small particles of blue that too disappeared into thin air. A moment later she came close to him and…asked him to hold hands. Dio blinked at her for a moment, and then looked down at her open hands. A very faint reddish blush appeared on his white face not long after.
Of course, he knew exactly why she wanted to do this and the point she wanted to make, but he still felt…so incredibly awkward about it. The poor imp was conflicted, he couldn’t put his finger on it but now that he was completely alone with her, he feld rather…odd towards K. Every time she got particularly close to him, he both felt rather uncomfortable and awkward…yet at the same sort of relieved and comforted by her presence. It was an extremely weird mixture of sensations and feelings that frankly annoyed Dio just for how unclear they were.
Regardless, there would be time for that later, right now he had a lesson to learn, so he did his best to ignore his slight embarrasment over feeling that way and focused on the task at hand.
“Er…fine.” He said, slowly and somewhat hesitantly placing his gloved hands on hers, K’s palms being big enough for the imp’s hands to look like those of a child by comparison…which considering his size wasn’t that far off.
“So, how exactly will this help me digivolve?” He questioned the fox, looking up at her with a quizzical look. “I understand controlling my power is important and I want to learn. But I’m curious as to how this would help me with that in particular.”
“And…will this help me at all?” He would ask somewhat worried, before adding, ”I mean you don’t have a human partner, and from what I understand the process of digivolution works differently with a partner.”

She could feel it, she could feel the respect she commanded and some other emotion she really couldn't understand. Was it affection? Some kind of desire? Perhaps it was longing to be something like her. Someone like her perhaps. She didn't really know and it wasn't exactly terribly worrying. Even if it was all or none of those things wouldn't change what she would do here today.
She watched the Impmon catch the triangle of energy, he seemed to handle it well enough as it didn't break at all. It didn't collapse within his touch and it certainly didn't detonate suddenly with energy he couldn't control. His reaction to it vanishing was expected and she'd give him a small smile following suit.
However when she inquired for him to place his hands ontop of hers, he seemed hesitant. Perhaps it was something to do with the earlier emotions she was having difficulty reading? Perhaps she had been out of touch of people so much so that she was starting to lose her 'social guru' status. Or perhaps it was something else entirely. His hesitance seemed to waiver however when he agreed ultimately and placed his hands upon hers.
"Because regulating your energy is important, understanding where that energy comes from is important. Being able to direct it is as important as the other two; when you are grasped by the digital light you control it. You found it and force it to do what you desire, it shapes your body and takes those desires..."
She'd exhale a little bit and slowly work with the energy she could feel it within him barely tapped and unchained. It barely followed his directions and she saw herself in the way that it worked. She saw herself long ago, back when the inn was still around washing that same length of wood over and over again... She'd gingerly and softly caress the energy with her will pulling it out of the impmon in such a way that would feel natural and wouldn't drain him.
"And makes those desires real."
Slowly but surely a purple blade formed between their hands for what would be maybe a minute at best. K stared down at the impmon, tilting her head just a little bit.
"It will help you understand that even though your digivolution comes from somewhere else. You have a semblance of control over the energy it brings to you. I may not have a human partner, but digivolution is simply another key to another lock. One that we all have. I have many keys jingling in my ears desiring to be used. I see your empty ring and see nothing but potential. When digivolution grasps you, embraces your form and allows you to hold more power than you have now."
Her eyes would meet the Impmon's for a moment and it was in that the renamon shifted to let the impmon have his own hands back. Though the blade likely would remain if the impmon really tried.
"You will feel a warmth unlike anything you have ever experienced. The same warmth that the digivolution has, your energy will have. So why wouldn't you learn to use it? Why have a weapon, a form, a power or place you don't know how to use when you have it?"

While Dio was paying attention to what K had to say, his focus was slightly centered on something different inittialy. Namely, K’s palms as he places his hands on them. Specifically, just how warm and god damn soft they felt. It was hard to describe, but it was like holding the softest, warmest, fluffiest pillow ever.
He had no time to mull over this however, as he forced himself to shift his attention and pay attention to K’s words.
As they locked hands, he could soon feel something else happening, as he felt a foreign yet oddly benign energy start to seep into his core, weaving around gently and gingerly. It didn’t took him long to recognize that energy as the same from that blue triangle a minute ago: It was K’s, somehow reaching deep down into his very being and pulling out his energy from his body. Odd comforting aside, it felt similar to what he felt every time he prepared an attack but…more controlled somehow, like the difference between pouring water into a glass with a bottle instead of using your bare hands.
A moment later she (or rather, she and Dio) slowly manifested said energy out of the imp’s hands, which took the form of a small purple blade. Dio’s eyes widened, completely at a loss of words, not sure if he had to be amazed at the Apostle’s complete control, or at his own power being the source of said thing. Perhaps more surprisingly of all was that he didn’t even feel slightly winded or tired as she helped him manifest that power, it was almost completely effortless.
“Wow.” Was this power really inside him? Even with his larger than life ego the digimon was stunned.
As if he couldn’t feel more surprised, when K eventually let go of his hands he noticed the blade was still there, flickering ever so slightly but maintaining its general shape and intensity. Dio let out a bemused chuckle. “…so awesome…” Maybe he wasn’t so weak after all. Maybe there was still hope for his dreams of power.
Unfortunately he soon felt a small shift on the blade’s energy, and found himself struggling to maintain it, wincing a bit as he felt himself suddenly lose energy just to trying to keep the now flickering blade from going out. The blade eventually fizzled out and banished, leaving only warm air behind. “Damn it.” He cursed under his breath. Seemed he still had ways to go.
“What are we waiting for, then? Let’s learn how to use it! Teach me how to do…that thing again!” He exclaimed, both exited and somewhat impatient. Admitedly, he didn't 100% understood everything his teacher was trying to tell him, but he got the general gist of it (at least he hoped he did) Besides, wisdom and knowledge were good and all, but he wanted to get into the thick of things.

The renamon shifted a little bit, she could tell that something was off. Not with the impmon himself but just the way he seemed to react to her in such a way that she didn't expect. Hesitance was the right word for it she felt. It was strange for her to work with someone else's energy like this; it was the first time she had done it and she admitted to herself that she must of been a little too sudden with it.
His reaction to the manifestation of the blade wasn't a surprise; the color itself seemed fitting for the semblance he seemed to follow. Her data was different than his; his power and source of it would be different too. But this didn't make them any different as far as digimon went. They both were comprised of data and there fore she should know how to work with them.
"It takes time and practice, but the potential is there."
She'd watch him curiously, gauging his reactions to having the blade on his own. She knew how to draw on it, she was the one that had developed Saberk in the first place anyways. So it'd be easier for her to do something like this. But for his own the impmon would have to learn how to draw upon the power. She wasn't very surrpised to see it fizzle out, but she was happy to know that he desired to continue on with this training.
"The name I gave it was Saberk. It would be different for you I imagine as names have power. Moves like that come from practice or loading, the latter of the two you'll be unable to partake in. So I will teach you how to draw that out which will be a simple step in the direction digivolution."
She'd shift a little bit and put her two pointer fingers together. Slowly but certainly she'd draw the fingers apart; a paper thin straight line of energy between her two fingers were the only reminder of what she had done.
"First what you'll do is try to gather your energy in two fingers. Any digit will do, but the one that feels the most natural for you would be the best. When you have enough energy in those digits, pull them apart and imagine a line as I have. The important part of this is to let the energy flow naturally as to not tire yourself, so only taking a little bit at a time and remember. We're not limited on time so no need to rush to what you saw earlier."
Knowing what the final product would look like would only give the Impmon a plausible goal. She had to start small, had to start carefully. He wanted the end point and she'd have to gently guide the other there.
"When you have the link established between the two digits, you'll be able to feed more to them, adding to the cycle."

“Saberk? That’s…not exactly too creative a name, is it?” He said with a bit of a sly smirk. Granted he had no room to talk here, considering an attack named Pillar of Fire wasn’t anything to write home about.
He shifted a bit around, uncomfortable when she brought up the possibility of him learning through absorption. Truth be told he had never done that before, but mostly because he had never actually defeated that many digimon in combat beforehand. Even back on the Dark Area, he had tried to keep to himself, only attacking in self defense, and most of the times it was against someone stronger than him so the chances of him actually winning those fights had always been almost nil. That said, while he was aware that loading other digimon was frowned upon by the more “civilized” groups, he didn’t seem too against the concept, if only because growing up in such a horrible place as the Dark Area had conditioned him to accept such a thing as a normal occurrence.
Regardless of his feelings towards that subject, after the “assignment” was laid out to him, the imp nodded once, shifting a bit into a more comfortable position as he readied himself. He closed his eyes as he slowed down his breathing.
“Focus.”
A minute of focusing later, he exhaled softly as he felt the energy slowly gathering on his hand.
Ok, step one done.
Now came the difficult part, actually controlling said energy in such a small amount. He was the Dark Lord for crying out loud, this should be easy! However, as it turned out, he was very used to exerting large amounts of energy in equally large, unwieldy bursts, which usually meant more damage, but also wasting more energy.
After another moment, he slowly drew his slightly trembling fingers apart, a very faint, shaky line of purplish energy arcing between them. Even through his meditative state, he couldn’t help but smirk a bit. He was actually doing it!
Unfortunately, his joy was not to last.
In what could not be more than a second of distraction, a small miscalculation, he found himself accidentally sending a whole burst of energy through his so far “controlled” stream, resulting in the feeble line spontaneously growing in size and , suddenly changing from mere energy into a small, but loud and hot crackle of fire. The resulting spark that erupted from his fingers startled the imp, breaking his focus, the surprise being so great it made him fall on his back as he let out a (rather undignified) yelp of surprise.
“God damn it!” He cursed as quickly got back on his feet, but not before punching the ground in frustration, doing all he could to avoid looking back at K’s eyes. Obviously blushing all the while. He was making himself look foolish and he was painfully aware of it.

"It's not. Nor does it need to be. If you desire to name yours differently feel free; I won't stop you. A name isn't everything. Sometimes power is in simplicity."
The renamon could feel the discomfort from her mentioning the idea of absorbing the knowledge. It was a good feeling to have when doing that sort of thing; she had only really had to do it once and it felt so wrong. She'd watch him carefully tilting her head slightly as she could see him starting to follow her directions. His breathing slowed and she'd raise her eyebrows just a little bit as she saw him start to focus. Well not so much start to focus as just slow down his breathing; that was a good step.
She'd continue to watch him as he slowly started to draw his fingers apart. There was a shaky line of purplish energy arcing between them; she'd frown slightly at seeing it. It wasn't very stable unfortunately and was quickly followed by him putting in too much energy. Resulting in a quick sparking and firey eruption. The renamon blinked a few times and stroked her muzzle thoughtfully.
He had made a wonderful first attempt and seemed rather downtrodden he hadn't succeeded right away. The renamon gently reached out and gingerly patted the top of the impmon's head after his display of frustration.
"Good work Dio. For a first attempt that was spectacular. Now where do you think you went wrong?"
She'd tilt her head a little bit; removing her hand after a few moments. She didn't want to push too hard with this, it was a slow gentle pace that he needed to feel out on his own. She had shown him the way once and didn't need to do so again. She'd raise a finger and give it a small waggle.
"You needn't worry, this is a slow and steady progress. But motivation is just as important as focus is a element to progress. An end goal is nice, but something to help along the way is nice too. Any thoughts?"

The imp pouted a bit in anger, frankly disappointed at his lack of control, both in power and anger, as his little outburst compounded with what he felt was a rather pitiful display of control could have achieved nothing other than disappointing the Apostle.
God, he was sure he must have looked so pathetic in her eyes. He was already expecting the harsh words mocking his weakness coming, just like all those times before…
So of course, when he not only didn’t hear anything of the sort, but rather encouraging words of praise, which were then further punctuated by a gentle, unbelievable soft pat to his head, the imp couldn’t help but to freeze for a moment, his eyes widening a bit as he gazed upwards, looking at his teacher’s gentle feature and suddenly feeling a rather odd warmth within him. “Whu-what…really?” Was that really considered a good first attempt? He had nearly blown his face off, how was that spectacular? “…a spectacular failure, maybe.” He mulled a bit, looking down at his feet both unconvinced and trying to hide the red blush that kept threatening with taking over his entire face. “…thanksthough.” Was all he could muster to add in a surprisingly bashful and meek tone, perhaps as thanks for the fox still giving him the benefit of the doubt and respect.
He wasn't exactly used to that, as he could easily count with one hand the people that had treated him like that...but he still appreciated it.
That said, for a moment he almost wished he could kick himself right now. Just what was happening with him? What was this lousy feeling that kept distracting him and making him feel so…weird every time K reached out to him? Was it shame? Respect? A mix of both?
Luckily for the small purple rookie, the vulpine teacher’s tone would change from encouraging to a rather inquisitive one just as she would stop petting his head as well. After a moment he was able to block out the feeling and blush once again, putting his concentration into K’s question.
“I mean, I guess? What better motivation than getting stronger and wiser though, right?” He asked after pondering for a moment. Hard work was its own reward and all that, but Dio was just as interested on the journey as he was on the destination. After a moment of thinking however, he would also ask “What do you mean with “something to help”? Do you plan to give me some sort of incentive?”

The response that Dio had to K patting him on the head was expected; she figured he thought she'd berate him and belittle him for doing poorly. But in all honesty she saw nothing but progress in the little imp. It was a huge step to take even if it was just the first one. She'd give him a small smile and dip her head in a nod.
"The first step is often the hardest. When I tried it my first time I nearly took off my right hand with the ensuing explosion. Put a little bit too much energy into it. I'm glad you didn't incur the same penalty."
There was a rather relieved tone that came from the renamon and she'd look the impmon over. Trying to get a proper read as far as how he was feeling; something was getting in the way of her trying to understand how he was feeling properly about this failure. Was it uncertainty? Something that was getting in the way.
"Those come of their own volition on the journey. Strength is through growth, wisdom is the same. One does not become wise because they wish it; much more instead they'd play the part of the fool."
The renamon was warning the impmon again that those shouldn't be goals of their own. That they should be just a small part of an over arching one. It was tying in simualarily to a conversation they had upon first meeting.
"You desire to become a Dark lord, but that's merely a title. What is it to you? What is the journey you're going to take to get there? What would make that yours?"
The renamon would gingerly press a single digit to the Impmon's forehead if allowed, staring quite firmly at the Impmon.
"While strength and wisdom are admirable desires, while a title is an common one what truly do you want from yourself? From the future?"
The renamon tilted her head a little bit and then chuckled softly at his queries. The renamon walked over to a hollowed out tree and pulled out what looked to be a container of mints.
"Treats of course. Little things, I don't have much out here so there wouldn't be much more i could give other than this or a few words of wisdom that would do little. Go ahead try one Child."
The renamon would of course draw out a single mint and offer it to the Impmon. He had done well so early on, she wasn't one to let that go past. She could see him wielding that blade from earlier of his own volition rather than hers...

Even through the faint blush and mild embarrassed feeling the imp couldn’t help but take note of K’s words, his eyes widening in surprise for a moment. Losing her entire hand? Talk about difference in strength, if that was what stronger digimon had to deal with on a daily basis he was almost grateful for being wea- I mean not as strong.
The rest of her teachings ringed just as strongly with him. Playing the role of the fool seemed like an apt way of putting it, and considering the way he had been treated by others in the past or how must people he met seemed to treat him like a big joke, he could see her words ringing true and applying to him all too well.
He gulped a bit as she pressed her finger against his forehead, both experiencing the same blushing feeling from the previous pet, and for a moment almost fearing it would somehow end with her sending him flying with a flick of her finger. She had proven to be a bit of a rough teacher just a few hours ago, he wouldn’t put it past her.
As that momentary feeling passed however, he found himself questioning the Apostle’s inquiries.
“I’m…not quite sure.” He said, looking down at his feet for a moment, unsure. What was it that he really wanted? For others to respect them? To have the strength not to be taken advantage from again? To be powerful enough to protect both himself and what he cared about?
…to fill that odd feeling of emptiness and loneliness, that blank space in his soul?
“I want a lot of things but…I’m not sure which ones are worth pursuing. I figured maybe, if I got stronger, I would know better what I want but…I’m not sure anymore.” He mused, somewhat sadly, letting out a sigh. Damn it, her training had barely started and he already was feeling tired just thinking about a good answer.
Luckily he was able to distract himself for a moment, quirking an eyebrow upon hearing K’s suggestion.
“Mints?” He asked aloud, somewhat surprised that was the kind of treat K meant. He had expected something a bit fancier than a mere mint, like a fruit, or perhaps a chocolate. Of course, he was not going to turn down the fox’s offer. He reached out with one hand and took the small candy K was offering him. He rolled it on his fingers a bit, inspecting it for a short moment before taking out the small wrapping paper surrounding it. He had learned that’s how you were supposed to eat candies the hard way back on Carlos’ house, though now he was no longer restricted to his in training form he was able to actually open them himself.
As he put the mint flavored candy on his mouth, he could feel am odd, cool air shooting through his mouth, accompanied by a rather nice sugary taste.“Hmm, sweet!” He said with a smile and a small nod, enjoying the refreshing yet sweet taste from the candy for a moment, before asking. “Ok, this is…nice I suppose, so what now? How should we proceed?”

K chuckled softly at the reaction that the Impmon had to when she told him about her almost losing her hand. It wasn't a real surprise, she had tried to do too much right away and had paid the price for it at the time. The renamon rubbed her muzzle and let out a soft sigh.
He seemed to be taking most of her teachings well; perhaps he wasn't so bad as far as things were concerned? Perhaps when he got to a higher level these teachings would resonate with him more; make him easier to deal with on both a personal and physical level. She didn't see him as a joke; she saw him as a very real threat if he wasn't tempered in some manner. He would be someone that could grow and become stronger than those around him if treated right.. if taught right.
She didn't want to have to be rough on the impmon, when she had done so earlier it was to instill respect for another in him and then work from there. It seemed to of worked but she wasn't sure for how long after all. The renamon shifted slightly and considered his answer for a brief moment.
"You have time to think child."
The renamon sighed softly and patted the red blotch that was spread on her front. It was certainly a painful memory still... But it was one she understood and was willing to look into to grow. One that she was willing to share with others if she needed to.
"Take your time then. Ease into it, ease into the area that you think is right. While an answer is good right away, the true answer will present itself in a time of adversity. What comes now is from your conditioning as a person, what comes in adversity and under instinct is who you are. What you are. Humans have something in the same boat of their reactions; surprisingly you may be able to learn these answers by interacting with your tamer more."
The renamon chuckled softly as the impmon took the mint from her. He was certainly a young one that would do well with positive re-enforcement as well as physical re-enforcement. If she could she'd do more for him, but she lacked the ability to do so past a few head pats or these mints. The renamon tilted her head and watched Dio for a few moments before stashing the mints back into the tree that she had taken them from. She knew the count and if she felt it was different she could easily figure out who had taken them...
"We go again. And again. And again."
The renamon shifted a little bit and knelt so that she was closer to Dio's height.
"I'm going to watch what you do, how you do it and what you're doing wrong. Draw out your energy this time, gently. Slowly. We're not in a rush. What you want and what you have are two different things."
The renamon drew her fingers together and then slowly she'd draw her hands outwards. Rather than a blade there was that single line of energy stretching between her hands.
"This is what you want. Not what you have, but what you have can make the answer in your own way. Draw on what you know, what you have and what you want. Do it slowly and the right answer will come to you. Don't pull your energy all at once, just slowly regulate it through that connection you create through your hands."

Dio simply nodded at K’s words, somewhat glad she seemed willing to be patient and take time to help him out. As much as he wanted to rush out his training, he knew in his current state that it would take longer than just a few minutes. And specially about him figuring out a good answer for her questions. Her comment about needing to interact with Carlos was met with…somewhat mixed feelings though.
“But we’re so…different. Sometimes I wonder if we’re really partners, if fate is not just pulling a bad joke on both of us.” He mulled, scratching the back of his head.
Still, as conflicted as he felt Dio figured she was probably right, judging by the other partners they had met so far. Their bond was very clear, and they had both proven to be a lot stronger than Dio ever dreamt of. Maybe…he’d have to give Carlos another chance later. But that was then, now he had to focus on improving himself.
He pondered that question as he focused once again, closing his eyes as he drew energy to his hand yet again, a faint glow between his fingers as the same question echoed in his head.
What was it that he wanted?
But no matter how hard he tried to think, the answer wouldn’t come to him. Perhaps because of this, perhaps because, something went wrong with the exercise again, and this time he saw it coming as he felt the control on his hand banishing, replaced with uncertainty and doubt. It was much to late to do anything about it though.
The result was largely the same, yet different. Yes, he had underestimated his own power once again, and yes that miscalculation manifested itself again with a large release of energy. Except instead of fire almost exploding in his face, this took a completely opposite element, as the temperature on his hand lowered at an alarmingly fast pace. Before Dio could even react, he found his whole hand suddenly become heavier as his whole gloved fist was frozen solid, completely encased by a thick block of ice.
Letting out a surprised grunt, the small imp found himself losing his balance because of theunexpected weight, falling forward face first…and right into K. Would the fox not do anything, the imp would stay there with his face lightly pressed against the Renamon’s furry body. Dio stood still, paralyzed as if his brain had momentarily shut off trying to understand what just happened. A good five seconds of awkward silence later, the imp finally seemed to snap out of his shock and suddenly reeled back in surprise whilst falling on his back to the ground again, his face as red as deep as the one from the bandana wrapped around his neck.
“GAH! S-sorry, that wasn’t meant to happen! It was an accident I swear!” He stammered, almost panicking as he looked away as if to hide his embarrasment, banging the frozen block against a nearby stump in an attempt to break it.
As if his training wasn’t going badly enough already.

The renamon sat there quietly watching the impmon; his words only made sense to her. Often younger tamers and their partners would question why they were linked together and what sort of things would come from it of course. What could she say to that honestly? The renamon rubbed her muzzle and leaned back looking quietly at the sky after a few long patient moments.
"Fate dictated that you two were meant to be, that you would be partners and work together through thick and thin. What would you say if i told you that it's possible you could of ended up with a worse match? Or perhaps you'd end up with someone you related to but couldn't follow? Fate doesn't pull jokes on the digital world or those it chooses. It chose carlos for you and you for carlos."
The renamon leaned forward and tapped the impmon on the forehead staring at him with a surprising amount of warmth in her eyes. The icy demeanor she usually kept was simply not there; but that was because she was teaching; she was helping another. This was the sort of eyes those that would find her help would see.
"You were chosen for great things Dio. You were chosen to do something but only you can find out what that was. With carlos' help you'll fidn that and make Dark lord something to be proud of."
The renamon watched the impmon once again as he worked on the energy once more. She looked curiously as the miscalculation took form of something else. Surprisingly it took ice this time and froze his entire gloved fist solid. She'd raise her eyebrows and then let out a soft but somewhat not surprised sigh as she felt the impmon fall right into her. There was a moment before she'd gingerly pat the top of his head. She understood the culmination of failure and the stress it brought so instead of saying this was a failure she instead turned this into something else.
"Dio dear, let me see your hand. Before you break that ice."
The renamon gestured for the impmon to come to her, even as he banged the ice against the stump. Her ears twitched and she knew what she needed to do.
"Your energy is vastly different than mine, which is both good and bad. I can see the flow in each time that you managed to pull and push. I think I know what you need."
Were the impmon to come to her she would gently take his hand encased by ice and stare at it for a few moments.
"I want you to imagine the hottest fire in this hand. As strong and as powerful as you can possibly make it. And on this hand..."
She'd take his other hand if he let her, gently turning it over and staring at it for a few moments.
"Then I want you to take the coldest thing you can possibly think of and turn that a thousand times over in your head making it a reality. When you've done both of this and I see both of those elements in their respective place we'll take the next step okay?"
The renamon would grin a bit and tilt her head.
"You haven't failed. There's this human called Bob Ross and he's taught people to believe that there aren't failures. Just happy little accidents; which is exactly what we have here. Do you see what I mean?"

"Oh I don't know, I'm pretty sure the Digital World has its own twisted sense of humor sometimes." Sure, there was problably a good reason for him and Carlos to end up partnererd, but it certainly wasn't inmediatelly obvious to him. And besides who was to say the Digital World didn't enjoyed playing with its inhabitants fates from time to time? He had been borned and stuck on the Dark Area since...as long as he could remember. If that wasn't a rather cruel joke from part of the Digital World, he didn't know what it was.
"But how can you tell? I-I'm not saying you're wrong of course, the Dark Lord should of course have great potential...but why do you believe that? Most people just...think I'm a joke." He sighed, frustrated. It was such a weird situation, all his life he had wanted others to take his boasting seriously, and yet here was K, doing just that, and he had no idea how he was supposed to feel. Flattered? Moved?
Even as his mind raced all over the place during that embarrasing display of lack of control he couldn't stop thinking about what she saw in him that was so promising. And of course she would ask him to get closer. Sighing and cursing under his breath, he'd approach his teacher yet again, head hanging down in defeat, as he offered her his frozen hand for closer examination. It was rather shameful to him that he was still making what he perceived as huge rookie mistakes. Not even In training digimon got this amount of problems when using their own powers. Why was he having such a hard time concentrating?
Though as expected, she didn't belittled the imp for his failures, instead offering a different approach to solve his problem. While her following advice was...slightly vague at best, he had a bit of an idea of how he could do as he was asked. Though her following comment made him raise an eyebrow.
"Happy...accidents? That's a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it." How could an accident be something good? By definition it was something that was not meant to happen, how could that be seen as positive?
Nevertheless, he. Once again he'd close his eyes, take a deep breath, stretch his arms out with palms open (at least the not frozen one was open) and focus. Despite the coldness in his ice encased hand, with enough will power he'd soon feel energy converging on that point, slowly building up as the cold seemed to move into the other hand. Soon enough both hands would emit a small glow, before the so far unnafected hand would slowly start to emanate small ice crystals from Dio's palm, and the ice surrounding the frozen hand would begin to melt, a tiny spec of fire emerging from within it.
Even before he opened his eyes, the imp knew this time he had made a good job.
"I-it worked! Can't believe it worked!" Dio laughed, smiling whilst now gazing at both the flames and changing ice formations on his palms, before he'd look at K, eyes filled with excitement and expectation. "Now what?"

"It absolutely does have it's own twisted sense of humor. The sort that will eat you up from both the outside and inside but that's besides the point."
The renamon chuckled softly and waggled a single digit at the Impmon. When it came to Fate and it's like they were just simple pawns in a massive game towards some end that none could see. So much so to the point here; the digital world had a will of it's own and ultimately they were playing it's game. Regardless of what they meant or did it was to some end of a greater sort.
"Because like you, I started off in a strange place. A place that no one else really thought much of me. And when I took steps they instead turned into leaps and bounds. You have the same look in your eyes as I did; the same pressure the same vibe. But you haven't started on that path properly yet; uneasy steps are often the hardest ones and with me here it's just a simple pat on the back to get started no? You have strength, you have power, you have everything you need but you're looking in the wrong places Child."
The renamon of course had sat in one place for quite some time, mulling over powers and their respective ilk for a long time. Coming into a sense of enlightenment that she could for the most part pass to others. She didn't understand completely why the imp was having trouble; there were edges and rough refinement. The temperament was there and the control was slightly lacking... but there was other things that were presenting a problem. She'd tap her lip thoughtfully and quirk a brow at the other digimon.
"Humans often display baffling behaviors and say baffling things. But it doesn't stop it from being true. Think of it this way; you've frozen your fist in ice. But it's not by someone else's doing but it's of your OWN doing. Which means this power CAME from you; not me."
However when the imp actually put push down to shove; he was able to do what K had asked. The ice melting away to be replaced by fire and the other hand was able to push out small ice crystals. She'd inspect both of his hands for a few moments and return the smile to dio.
"Now I show you what control means Child, what those flames and what those ice can accomplish if you just believe. Not in just yourself, but in everything you do and everything that you put forward."
The renamon gently motioned for the Impmon to step back. And were he to he'd see the renamon take the light of digivolution. Something that eased forward from her naturally. The absolute gentleness that the light pushed out was unlike any other; it was soft and it caressed the glade like a mother would a child.
A few moments passed and the Apostle was replaced by the very being that she said she represented. There was ginger movements and a massive gauntleted hand came down next to the Impmon. A blade of purest blue springing along it's hand held out in such a fashion for the impmon to inspect.
"Saberk in it's truest form. presented unto you my dear. It's form is true, it's powers are just as much so. Take it, recognize it. Create it on your own; but know that it's beauty and the beauty that you create will be different. For my struggles and your struggles are as they will always be."
There was a small pause and a single digit would touch the impmon's chest; there was more gentlness in that single motion and that simple touch than anyone would expect.
"For our own, of our own. Now use your power, of your power to do the same as I have done."
There was one last thing that the Jesmon's apostle wasn't telling her student. That when she created saberk that it had been before she knew of how to digivolve. That it ended up being the key to her understanding how to do so and hopefully by proxy would do the same to her student. Seeing a true masterpiece of the craft hopefully would blossom the desire and strength of his own...
