Yes, the D-Reapers described in the Dark Area were quite terrifying creatures. Aside from that dominated Reppamon, there were quite a few that K likely hadn't seen: "The reports were clear from those who managed to flee. Giant long-armed creatures with beaks at the end of its palms, bomb-wielding 'birds' with hooks for hands, weird two-armed creatures that act as gunners..." He didn't know all of the specifics, but it sounded like a mess.
Still, the thinking Renamon definitely had a few thoughts of her own: either a mass of corruption meant to bait the D-Reaper into action, or the corruption of the D-Reaper itself. "Hm... I don't think corruption of the entity itself is quite correct, or we would have likely seen differences over time. I'd considered the thought that someone was pulling the strings, but how never crossed my mind. A huge surge of data at once set it off?" Was that possible? If nothing else, K thought of searching in the Dark Area for answers.
To that, the wolf gave a shrug. "Every inch of that place is being scoured by field scientists and yellow tape. Hopefully we can trust the system enough for that... but sorry, I think I pulled us just a bit off topic." The wolf chuckled, taking a step back.
"It sounded like you've done it a couple of times, but regardless, you've told me all about yourself. I think I said I'd return that favor?"

"The bomb wielding bird sounds about right, but I don't think they were birds? They floated and in the instance of a proper threat it used those to hold itself against me before detonating."
She'd frown slightly and shift a bit; that explosion even with her Ten fold defense had been enough to knock her over... and force her to de-digivolve all the way down to rookie in order to save herself. Which had proven to be the worst thing possible as the Reppamon had finished her off.
The unlikelyness of the corruption of the D-reapers seemed to leap forward. If Iko thought that was the case she'd have to keep his knowledge and judgement in mind. She'd furrow her brow a little bit and shift, eyeing the wolf curiously.
"A huge surge of corrupted data maybe, or perhaps something else entirely. It's too soon to really try to figure out what happened there without information immediately for us. We'd be sitting here just doing guesswork when the answers are elsewhere."
The renamon snorted a bit at the notion of scientists and yellow tape. She'd dismiss the notion that if she truly wanted to she could just teleport there without any heed to the 'yellow tape'.
"I have sever doubts that they'll find the answer immediately. But yes.. we have derailed a little bit."
She'd blink and rub her muzzle a little bit. She had told a few people her story before, but never up to this point really. There was only a few people that knew her whole story on their own and those ones had been there for a majority of the trip.
"A few times, but never this far. Yes you did, I can say I'm quite curious. You're unlike any digimon I've ever seen. So I suppose I can ask you the same question you asked me before. 'What kind of Digimon are you?'"
Her tone was gentle, her tone was kind. She meant no disrespect if anything she desired knowledge about the other mon. Every day she was given gifts from others, every day she was graced with new friends or new people she could trust in. Here, up on this mountaintop she wondered what sort of person Iko would be to her. Most likely an acquaintance that she could rely on; she wouldn't immediately jump into the boat of friendship for if done too soon it could have harsh consequences later.

Well, Iko hadn't met a D-Reaper agent first-hand, but he guessed they were beyond the realm of normal description? The wolf's tried to picture the monster in his head... bah, there just wasn't enough to go on. They could talk for hours and have their entire time invested be blown to uselessness by a single discovery from the scientists investigating the area.
"One way or another, well, those answers will be found." That was all the wolf knew - whether the information came too late, well, he didn't want to think about it. But soon, the conversation drifted back on topic, the Renamon taking a remarkably kind voice as she asked the wolf that question. He returned a smile, giving a lean against that guardrail. "Its not a tale nearly as grand as yours," Iko chuckled, "But its one I've been riding for a hell of a lot longer, at this point."
What exactly did he mean by that? Slowly, that smile faded from the edge of his lips, thinking over the best way to say it. "Well, its similar, but its not. To answer your question in the most technical term, I am Ankomon, the lunar wolf." That, of course, was hardly the point: "And by whatever cruel mechanisms there are behind this world, I share my 'core' with another - that of a trickster fox that has the aspect of the sun emblazoned on his head." To that point, he tapped the crescent moon on his own forehead, for comparison.
"There's more grand ways to look at it. I'm 'The Light that wields the Dark', while he's 'The Dark that wields the Light', but it boils down to this: we share a reincarnation cycle. Should my data fall and break apart, he takes the head, and the same the other way around. The trick here, though, is that the 'two of us' aren't really supposed to be aware of this fact."
He gave a sigh. "But somehow, 'Solmon's' consciousness broke through far earlier than it should have. Over the last year, I haven't been able to get a proper night's sleep unaided." He gave a moment of silence... before returning a chuckle. "Honestly, I'm a touch jealous. You have three cores supporting you, and I have just one with a presence that's always looking for a way in."

K had for a while had wished that she had never met a D-reaper agent first hand, but it was only after that issue had occured that she was able to take so many strides forward. She severely doubted that without that intervention she wouldn't of grown this way; wouldn't be here talking like this. That the keys would of been just a simple dream that no one would of stepped upon again. She'd sigh softly and nod in agreement to his statement.
"You're certainly right there. I just hope it's not too late that we come across them."
The renamon watched the wolf curiously and found herself leaning back against the guardrail. She'd raise her brow slightly when the other said that his tale was no where near as grand as hers. She'd chuckle lightly and shake her head tilting it ever so slightly.
"Grand or not, it's still a tale. Still worth telling. And really? Interesting..."
She'd blink a few times and watch that smile fade from the wolf's face. She looked confused for a few moments, her ears perking as he explained himself. An Ankomon? That certainly sounded interesting, so his powers were likely tied to the moon in some way? She'd shift slightly bringing herself to inspect the wolf as he explained himself.
"Odd that you wouldn't be twins. But I suppose you are of sorts."
She'd quirk a brow as he tapped the moon on his head. Explaining further as he was the light that wielded the dark while the other was the Dark that wielded the light. So in strangeness he was a good guy that used the power of darkness? Or was she missing the point here?
"So do you not reincarnate in the same way? Or do you still share the egg bits that most mon do? I imagine if you're not supposed to be aware..."
She'd pause and find herself turning just a bit to look at the wolf properly at this point.
"That doesn't sound good, is there anything you think you can do to fix that? there might be some data workers that could perhaps fix that break?"
Then she was surprised at the idea of him being jealous even if it was a little bit. She'd rub her muzzle a bit and sigh softly.
"It wasn't that way at first trust me. It was a bit more complicated if I didn't do anything to correct it. If I knew how to deal with mind's better I'd offer to help, but I'm not very good at it."
She'd lay her head on the railing looking out at the mountainside. Though she did from time to time look at the wolf curiously.
"How long have you been partners with Luke for? How long has this been a problem for you? Is he aware of your.. problem?"

"Well, if we were twins, at least he wouldn't be trying to mess with my head." Iko gave a sigh: his attempt at humor hadn't done much to raise his spirits, the thought instead causing him to further slump against the guardrail.
As could be expected, K was curious, as well as concerned. How did he reincarnate? Was there a way to fix it? How long had it been like this? Did Luke know? Each question made his ear twitch, the Ankomon taking a few moments with each one.
"As far as I can tell," Iko started, "There's nothing overly strange about our 'reincarnation cycle'. We both come back as eggs; the only anomaly is, in this instance, I was somehow paired with Luke as a partner. It makes me wonder if the light from the Digivice managed to stir the other half." Could that be possible? It didn't sound like Iko was certain.
As for a way to fix that, Iko chuckled, shaking his head. "Not without removing my own 'identity' as a Digimon. While my data takes the helm, his becomes the flame." On that note, he gave a snap, a small black fire flicking off the tip of his nail, like a lighter. "Call it dumb if you want, but its not something I can so easily give up - even if it were somehow possible." Sure, K's condition was difficult, but she undoubtedly improved in the end.
The last questions were rattled off, and Iko answered them in kind: "For both questions, a little over a year - and yes, he's aware." He wasn't hiding this from his tamer - god no. "But there's a reason I'm telling you this at all. Even if its in some small way, I do know what its like to be in your shoes... and if I have to be honest..."
He paused.
"... If your thought is simply on mastering your Super Mega forms, you're way out of your depth."

"I suppose that's fair."
The renamon found herself frowning and she considered how the other may feel at the other trying to take control early. It was likely something along the lines of what she had to deal with when GraceNovamon took control for that short time but semi personally. She'd shudder just a little bit at the thought.
"Interesting. So in all your reincarnations you never had a partner? It's possible that the light managed to do that, Digivices are strange contraptions I still don't understand."
She'd shake her head uncertainly; she didn't know enough about them to really make any real assumptions from them. Perhaps if she had a partner she would better understand or perhaps she would be even more confused? The renamon shifted a little bit gazing at the wolf as he continued to explain about his 'condition'. So one was the power while the other was the controller? That was something that surprised her a bit and she'd blink a few times as the flame appeared.
"No I understand. Merely curious was all."
She'd nod her head a little bit at the answers to her questions. She doubted him the sort to keep things hidden if he was the type to share his story even if it wasn't as complicated or 'grand' of a tale as he said. She'd blink a little bit and raise her brows as the other digimon told her there was a reason why he was telling her everything here.
She'd grip the railing and shake her head slowly.
"Everything is in steps, it's not the only thing I desire to master or deal with. But what do you mean if you don't mind me asking?"

"Its possible that the device is just as much Solmon's as it is mine or Luke's... bah, that's just a depressing though to think about. At this point, it is what it is."He seemed to accept it so easily, but there was still a touch of concern in his voice. Just where would it all lead in the end?
What would happen if Solmon took hold before it was even his time?
Of course, K was curious at Iko's sudden comment. Out of their entire respectful conversation, that one bold-faced comment stuck out like a bad egg. The wolf blinked, taking a brief look towards the Renamon.
"Hm... you know by now that I do better by 'showing' rather than 'telling'. And its really something you should experience firsthand. Right," Iko pushed away from the guardrail, giving a nod to the fox:
"Let's spar." He moved closer to the center of the platform: "And before you Digivolve, know that all we'll be doing is trying to get contact. No 'special moves' of any kind." With that one rule set in place, the Ankomon would stand up in the center, lightly stretching his arms before taking a simple pose, leading with his left side..
This was what he meant about 'out of her depth' - had she ever practiced fighting, a day in her life?

The renamon gazed at the wolf looking somewhat concerned at what the other digimon had said. How bad was this other version of them? How vastly different would they be in comparison to the wolf?
"It would be somewhat depressing to think about yes."
She'd find herself frowning and she'd lean back, stretching just a little bit. The trek to this location had after all made her feel somewhat stiff. They had only been traveling for what? A day at most? Time was still hard to keep track of for her as she hadn't stopped with her mantra. Some blended together as it were.
"But at least you seem somewhat prepared to deal with it."
The renamon blinked a few times and dipped her head in a nod. She did know that Iko preferred to show rather than tell; but she wasn't sure exactly how much. The renamon shifted to watch the wolf move to the center of the platform. She'd frown after a moment and go closer to them, maybe ten or so feet away from him.
"I do, but I wasn't sure exactly how much was show and how much would be tell."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle and blinked a few times again. He wanted to spar? Here of all places? The renamon looked around for a moment and then nodded again as he set down the rules.
"Moves are for the most part meant to be when you're serious. I wouldn't use it on someone I don't intend harm."
There was a small frown and she stretched a little bit; cracking her back after a few moments.
"Hmm. I think rookie for now. I don't really see a need to digivolve if it's just a spar."
The renamon shifted a little bit and rubbed her muzzle. She stared at the wolf, eyeing his stance before adopting one of her own. It was loose that much could be certain; but the stance certainly seemed to have an edge around it. It definitely seemed as those she knew what she was doing somewhat.
After all, there had been very little in the way of peaceful moments since she left the inn behind...

It seemed that K was taken a bit back by the sudden invitation to spar, but that was honestly to be expected. At the very least, she understood at least one purpose of the ground rules - no point having any blood accidentally spilled on the mountain, after all. Hearing her reasoning, the wolf gave a nod, letting the Renamon prepare herself as necessary.
With both sides prepared, Iko's eyes shifted a bit in tone, locking in focus as the Renamon took her stance. As expected, she was at least able to take care of herself this much, not offering too much of an opening from a simple glance. "Hm? Curious, that's closer to a fencer's pose than a fighter's." Was K so used to Saberk that it was affecting her base position?
Regardless, they weren't going to get anywhere just by standing still. Tensing his front leg, the wolf gave a short sprint, quickly closing the distance between the two of them. About a head taller than K, he had the slight advantage in reach, and it seemed like he was going to take advantage of it: tensing his right fist near his side, he drove one 'glancing blow' right to the center of K's body, one that would force her to block or dodge in some fashion. However, Iko had stopped short, skidding against the stone to keep at least two feet between them.
This blow would be little more than a jab, despite its appearance - but how would K respond, in the heat of the moment?

it would be perhaps the fourth person that she's sparred with since her coming into the Keys and the meditative state that she desired. She'd exhale softly and stretch, feeling certain joints pops and muscles stretch... Losing the tension they had a little before.
She looked her sparring partner up head to toe, mulling over their stance for a moment and then meeting the other's eyes with a small nod. She hadn't the chance to do sparring past those little bits and was actually looking forward to it.
"One of my moves, Saberk is a favorite of mine. Bladework is something I love and enjoy from top to bottom as far as forms are concerned. "
She'd give a small smile and watch the wolf; shifting slightly to address the short sprint that he quickly did. He was good at distance closing that much was certain, he had the reach advantage and the strength advantage. It wasn't a surprise since he was one form higher than she. It wouldn't be the first champion she's fought as a rookie, with each of the spires of course came a semblance of understanding that level in it's entirety.
Her body language spoke on it's own as it continued to shift; even with being used to bladework her body on it's own had been trained at it's very core. Her memories even if they were falsehoods did affect her data somewhat.
She was a soldier first and foremost.
She didn't block the attack he made, instead she sank and rolled on the balls of her feet. It helped her avoid the strike and allowed her to make one of her own, not aimed at the body but at the arm that was extended. Though with the skidding short she'd tut and immediately step in to close that distance. He might have the reach advantage but it'd be difficult to stop someone this close; his speed however was likely going to help him as she made an attack of her own at his right side. Her simply in a chopping motion; they weren't fighting seriously right? There was no reason for her to use her claws here either... She'd follow with a quick statement, seeing no need to keep her silent facade that she would normally put on during actual fights.
"You are used to combat. One way or another. In another life I might of tried to study under you. But now? I have of been an innkeep for a thousand or so years, that doesn't change a key fact of mine."

Hm...
Isn't that a little too indirect? K's agility was on display, able to backpedal and slip just out of range of that blow - but the next move, the wolf deemed questionable. He felt his arm shunted slightly off to the side as a blow managed to slip it away - and a moment later, the fox tried to slip towards him. That arm swung out to the side, from her left and his right, aiming a chopping blow at his ribs.
The fox would feel it connect - and in the next moment, she'd likely feel an elbow snap down, locking that arm in place. Iko winced, but didn't falter from the small blow. Perhaps before she'd ever get out those words: if he manged this grip, he'd pull back on her, and attempt to drive a knee straight into the Renamon's stomach. He'd pulled the blow back a bit, but if it struck, it would be enough to make her double over, at least for a second.
"It doesn't change a thing. Unless you've studied fighting or practiced it over countless lifetimes," the wolf muttered, "Then you're going to be at a disadvantage to those that have the experience." Slowly, he stepped back: "But maybe I'm wrong - maybe one of those cores can 'lend you' a bit of their own."

The renamon shifted a little bit only to frown as she felt her arm immediately upon contact with the wolf's ribs. There was a moment that she was unsure why exactly he'd allow something like this only to find him following with his elbow snapping down and locking the arm in place.
Next he'd...
The renamon's eyes flciked down to the knee driving upwards to her. She had the option to move out of the way of it if she really wanted to, she had the speed for it. She couldn't match the strength of a champion for sure and the impact would be enough to drive her over. But with a huff she'd upon the impact of the knee to her midsection she'd kick off of the ground just a little bit to lessen the impact.
It still hurt and made it difficult to breathe but the renamon didn't double over immediately. When the wolf stepped away she'd grunt and rub the affected area.
"Countless lifetimes no. I've only ever had the one."
She'd pause and frown stretching a little bit and wincing at the fact the champion had landed a hit. She might of avoided a portion of the damage but the point certainly was across.
"I'm used to being at the disadvantage in most things, it's nothing new. Nothing surprising to me."
The renamon shifted to stretch again, letting the pain from the affected area remind her that she still could do better.
"You're already aware of Jesmon's prowess, Examon's prowess... The blank core has traces of things left in it that I can only express as 'Natural Response'. Were I to be lent anything it'd be those. Their data is seeping and mixing with mine, eventually everything they are is going to be me. Do you desire to have a sparring match with one of the two that were responsible for keeping me alive?"

K wasn't as bad off as he thought she'd be, but the Ankomon still thought he got his point across. As that knee managed to drive its way just beneath the Renamon's ribs, he let the fox pull away, the wolf giving a slight rub to his side. Noticing the damage, the wolf didn't press on, quickly resting his arms off to the side as the fox started to speak.
"If I had to give one tip, it's 'don't worry so much about the small stuff'. Rather than points, keep your focus on your opponent's center of gravity. If you can predict and limit how they move, well... you'll land much better hits." Case-in-point, it seemed. Seeing her stretch, the wolf let the fox explain: did he want to spar against Jesmon or Examon's presence?
"As exciting as that might be, I'd have to pass on that idea for a bit. Rude as I might have been, I was just trying to get a point across: maybe their experiences will be more 'yours' once the cores fully merge, and maybe you have the resources to handle yourself, but merely attaining power isn't going to be enough for what you want to do."
So it was meant as a warning? The Ankomon slowly dropped his stance, and moved to the fox: "Sorry, didn't mean to go at it that hard. Kinda forgot myself for a moment, there."

K eyed the wolf for a moment, noting that he rubbed his side. So she had managed to get a single hit on him. He had also gotten a rather solid on her; it was certainly more than enough to get his intended point across. She'd tilt her head slightly as he gave her some advice.
"I'm used to watching someone's arms and footwork to see how they would strike. I suppose you could certainly say I'm more used to fighting with a blade than I am with fists, fangs or claws. But that is certainly helpful information thank you."
The renamon considered what the wolf said nodding a little bit. She'd pause and raise her eyebrows slightly. He was more than certainly correct; she wasn't expecting her meditation to solve all of her problems. She'd sigh softly and shake her head. At his apology [and stance drop] she'd offer a hand to the wolf; more for a shake than anything.
"I don't expect just getting that power to solve everything, It's a means but it isn't the end of the path. It's something that will be used and it's better to be in control of it than not. I appreciate your straightforwardness about this. Most people would not bother with this sort of thing."
She'd flash the Ankomon a small smile shaking his hand if he accepted hers if not she'd let it drop to the side without much of a drop in her stride.
"I do expect the Experiences to sort of merge together, but it won't be complete until I get a piece of me back that's sorely missing. Hopefully as time passes I'll come into more situations that will force me to grow as a person. I'm not against change, if anything I'm for it."
She'd sigh softly as she remembered the feeling of the GraceNovamon taking over. The pained part about her was that she enjoyed the rush of power that she got from it. She knew it was something that was supposed to be a part of her but... wasn't at the moment and that made everything she did seem lack luster.

She was more used to a sword, of course - it made sense from the stance, and the fighting style he had seen from the Jesmon. "I would imagine that's also Jesmon's preference, but its important to learn how to fight from more than one angle. For example, I'm a bit more comfortable as a caster type than fighting barehanded." On that note, he briefly flicked his hand off to the side, a shadowy blade forming between his fingers. "Still, for a mission as grand as yours, you can't afford to have too many holes in your style. You can't 'learn everything' but you need to have the solid fundamentals built up in your own arms and legs."
That much was obvious, right? K understood it just as well: power wasn't going to get her very far, just one aspect of her six keys. With that hand raised, the wolf would give a small smile, briefly giving it a shake. Still, none of this sounded too easy for the Renamon to accomplish.
"Sheesh... here I am trying to lecture you, while you've already made better peace with yourself than I have." Iko gave a chuckle, stretching out his arm, wincing as he felt the muscle in his side stretch out. "Tch... how about we continue this inside? Cold might not bother us as much, but its still cold. I could go for some tea, or whatever they have way up here..."
