"Well, Bells!" Luke said from the commentary box as the sun rose on the coliseum. "At the very least, Round 1 now appears to be over! What do you make of the competition so far?""Given that we've been here for nearly 3 months now, I think they could do to show a bit more hustle!" Bellamy replied. "But, eh, each at their own pace I guess. As long as they got good reasons, they can take their time""Yep, after all, don't want people to fail college or lose their jobs over this!" Luke continued. "So now, here we are at the last match of Round 2! And from the East Wing, who has been very patient with us so far, we have Katsura and Nyao!""And from the West Wing, fresh from her fight, we have Coolmon!" Bellamy added. "So, the fighters will take their positions in the arena and get ready for this, the exciting showdown of Cat against Rabbit! Hey, that's like us, Luke!""You're not a cat, Bellamy" Luke muttered. "Anyway, when you're ready, begin!"The crowd roared their approval.
The usual rules apply. 1. Post within a week of it being your turn, otherwise you will concede the match to the other player. 2. Do not kill your opponent, aim to knock them out. 3. No targeting Katsura and no cards. 4. No digivolving beyond what your opponent is capable of. 5. This match is non-canon, so don't worry about where this is in your characters' stories. 6. This was it, Katsura had almost forgotten entirely about the tournament that was until a message popped up on her digidevice telling her that the first round was finished. But come to think of it it could explain why Nyao was training in her cat form recently. Oh well here we go again, on the east wing a portal showed up out of the blue just as Luke announced the duo out from said portal walked Katsura, in her arms she was carrying Nyao the blackgatomon. Once outside the portal closed behind her.
"Don't forget to greet the audience."
Katsura smiled and waved around for a bit awkwardly, Katsura was not used to be the center of attention like this. Then she spoke to Nyao.
"Nyao, can I ask you a favor?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Can you please play nice for this round, Coolmon doesn't deserve the Liliana-treatment if you get the hint."
"Sigh, fine have it the boring way then."
Nyao jumped down from Katsura's arms and walked to the edge of the east wing, there she performed her stretching exercises.

Well, that last round ended weird. Coolmon was pleasantly surprised for this one, though! It was Nyao and Kat! "HI GUYS!" She beamed! She was in Rookie form at present and had been doing her stretching while she was waiting here.
It wasn't a secret she was actually really happy to see them. Familiarity was something that always put her at ease. "...So uh. Can I ask a favor? Don't hit your own tamer, that's a foul! Otherwise, Nyao, uh...Show me whatcha got, okay, buddy?"
And with that, Coolmon was surrounded in white light as she digivolved to Pucchiemon. "...Also sorry if I cause hearing loss!"

Compared to most of her other fights this time around, Katsura felt like she could relax and have a friendly competition. As Coolmon yelled, Katsura waved to Coolmon while Nyao sent a nod.
"Don't worry, I will never harm Katsura. Take care."
And just like that Coolmon digivolved to Pucchiemon thus starting the fight and now it was Katsura's time to think. What did she know about Coolmon? She was quite pacifist and friendly, that Pucchiemon looked very cute and if memory serves right, Coolmon was more a support type than a brawler. So what could she do to Nyao?
"Hmm"
Whatever it was, there would probably be a good reason why Coolmon warned about hearing loss. Now Nyao was staring intensely at Coolmon.
"When you're ready."

In a very stark contrast? Coolmon had zero ideas of Nyao's capabilities outside of her highest level. Where this a factor in their duel? Well....She might be a bit more nervous than she already was. But, it wasn't.
A BlackGatomon...Coolmon had always thought of them to simply be less holy versions of a regular Gatomon. By no means did it mean that Nyao was to be underestimated. Hm.
...She might have already given away her special thing, sure. But...She wasn't about to risk allowing the cat to power up or anything. That's how Stingmon managed to last so long, she felt.
Here we go. Coolmon inhaled deeply, before letting out an ear-piercing (to Nyao, at least) screech!
...Katsura might hear it as buzzing. It wouldn't really affect her either way.
Hypersonic Wave: Coolmon retains her screaming ability from Rookie form. But, it has a twist to it! Coolmon’s screech can now disorient rookies for three, champion levels for two turns, and those above for one! There’s a two post cooldown for this. Disorient here means leaving the ears ringing. Which isn't very conducive in a fight. Allies are mysteriously unaffected if they so wish.

Well Katsura quickly found out what Coolmon meant, what a voice that little guy had! This time Nyao couldn't just access friendliness in Coolmon to resist the attack nor was it reduced by her being a high level. Due to these things Nyao could do little more right now than put her paws in her ears trying to block out the screech. However, as paralyzing as this screech was, it had a distinct lack of offensive capacity. Sure right now, Nyao was just standing there but how will Coolmon take advantage of this situation? Meanwhile Katsura's index finger was poking around inside her ear, it seemed like Coolmon could somehow decide the dose of the sound attack.

Alright, good. There was some amount of...well, inaction from Nyao. Coolmon opted to psyche herself up with a pep talk of which the contents shall not be disclosed due to author laziness (TM).
One might wonder if the offensive capability of the screech was to allow Coolmon to act unhindered, truth be told. A red aura surrounded the Pucchiemon as the pep talk was concluded, and she clenched her fists in anticipation. How shall Nyao respond to that? She had to be ready for anything. Stingmon was no pushover. And she knew Nyao could...easily open up a world of hurt on her, probably...
Pep Talk V2: Hey Now, You’re a Rock Star: Coolmon offers some...words of encouragement for her ally, and they in turn are motivated to fight harder for some turns. This is a 20% attack power buff that lasts for two turns and...recharges for two turns.

As the effect of Coolmon's screech wore off, Katsura and particularly Nyao awoke to the sight of a mumbling Coolmon. A short time later, Coolmon illuminated with a red aura. Whatever Coolmon had done it was clear that she was up to something. Think Katsura, Nyao can't just rely on lasers for this round. Coolmon has a rather powerful deflecting shield and there were no telling how bullets would react to them. But then what? Now that Coolmon is powered up, Katsura didn't feel comfortable about launching an offensive. But something had to be done because now Nyao was taking a quick glance at Katsura requesting instructions. Katsura didn't say anything but if you took a closer look, you'll notice that for a brief moment Katsura had a closed fist. Once Nyao returned her attention to Coolmon said fist was gone. Did the duo have a secret language?

Whatever it was, Coolmon sort of...well. She respected that. Secret language that only the two knew? Nice. Did it help in battle too? Yes? Also nice!
It wasn't that nice for her though. She had no idea what was being planned. Another thing to set this apart from the bout with our boy Stingmon. Why did Katsura close her fist? Who knows. She had very little time, so she sprang forward, dashing at Nyao before swinging at her with a cry of... "Buster Punch!" The blow was aimed towards Nyao's torso. Given she's a cat, though, the question of whether it'd hit or not was up in the air, the answer being dependent on how fast kitty can react.
Nobody knew where this could go. This was the first actual blow having been thrown this whole fight.
Buster Knuckle: A high-powered punch filled to the brim with willpower and power! It even makes Coolmon’s knuckle glow. This is also very literally just a really, really hard punch.
Coolmon throws a punch and gets her own move's name wrong.
Great job.

How fast could Nyao move? About twice as much as you'll expect from a gatomon. Armed with cat senses and little need for standing on 2 legs nothing really prevented Nyao from going back on fours and run the quarter of a circle. A wind came out as result of this dodge, now back on her hind legs it was time to launch an attack on her own. Nyao clenched her fist and went in for a fast punch right in Coolmon's stomach.
"Lightning Paw!"
Just as Nyao took a quick glance at Katsura, Katsura had apparently an itch on her leg she needed to scratch. For some reason Nyao nodded as if she was just having a conversation with Katsura before returning to the still ongoing boxing match.

Coolmon was expecting her blow to land...!
And it whiffed.
Wait what?
See, Coolmon was used to that NOT happening in a fight, which made it hilariously easy for Nyao to just straight up SLAM the Pucchiemon in the stomach! She stumbled back, still glowing red but now in pain. Okay.
If it don't work once, try again! Coolmon sprang forward with another cry of "BUSTER PUNCH!" and threw another punch! This was aimed for Nyao's face.
Good Homeostasis this was gonna be a slugfest.

While Nyao's first punch was a success, Nyao shouldn't be cocky right now. Barely had the attack landed before Coolmon was ready to punch Nyao again and this time in the face. The punch was this time too fast for Nyao to dodge and she now had a red circle on her face.
"Ouch" Nyao yelped as she got hit. Now one single punch is not enough to take out a champion, Nyao quickly revealed the claws on her hands and made a slash with her right paw right on Coolmon's face. Then, Nyao smirked as she got an idea.
"You do know what breed of cat I am, right?"
Without waiting for Coolmon to answer, Nyao raised her tail that started to glow hot. Now the real fight was about to start!
Nyao swung her tail like a whip trying to hit Coolmon, Nyao then used the momentum to gain enough speed to launch another slash, this continued for a while.
Nyao was hit by Buster Knuckle

AHA. A real hit had been landed! At last! No JV for Nyao. Coolmon could only make a smirk as she got...scratched.
In the face. Now that had to have hurt. Now there was red on HER face too! This was a CRIME! "...I know -exactly- what kinda cat you are! A bad one!"
You know what Coolmon could do again, now? Scream.
It didn't take any genius to figure out what the rabbit did next. As Nyao began an assault with a flaming hot tail (holy heck that was going to leave BLISTERS) and scratches, Coolmon had to act fast. After sustaining a lot of...well. Hits?
She had to try shoving Nyao away and letting out another ear-piercing yell!
Coolmon takes a lot of damage, and nobody knows if Flex Tape can actually fix it or not.
She also used:

So far the fight seemed to go well in Katsura's favor, Coolmon looked like she had trouble keeping up with Nyao's assault. In fact she felt rather sorry for Coolmon for being on the receiving end of Nyao's powers even if they were partially holding back for the sake of fairplay.
On the battlefield Nyao had very little to say to Coolmon's calling her a bad kitty, in fact all she did about it was a brief giggle. But all good things come to an end eventually, just when it seemed like Nyao had this fight under control she was shoved away from Coolmon. Coolmon then let out another loud yell, just like last time Nyao was now distanced from Coolmon with her paws in her ears trying to zone out the worst of the scream. Due to this Nyao wasn't able to do much productive for the time being.
Nyao was hit by Hypersonic Wave once again.

She was dazed. This was good. Coolmon felt a pain in her shoulder flare up as she prepared the next stage of her grand plan. And it wasn't crashing a plane with no survivors. Nope. The Pucchiemon's skin began to come free from her and reveal a wireframe body underneath, one that expanded upwards and...outwards, before fur and clothes and Coolmon's scarf formed upon the nascent perfect level. "Pucchiemon, digivolve to...Antylamon!"
Whatever Coolmon was planning before might go out the window, as Antylamon stared ahead at Nyao.
She wasn't attacking just yet.
She was waiting.
Waiting for a challenge of an equivalent level.
Coolmon takes advantage of the screeching's effect to digivolve.
As such, SCREW THE PREVIOUS FORM'S COOLDOWNS.
She doesn't do anything just yet, and her passives aren't in effect yet either because of that. Do the thing!
