Chapter 0: Tsunichi
The Digital World is vast and ever-expanding. There are so many mysteries to discover... and also incredible dangers. Every section of this world has more and more powerful Digimon struggling for survival. Rookies reaching adulthood through battle, becoming Champions. Champions clashing over territory to eventually reach their Ultimate forms. There may even be forms beyond what we currently know as 'Ultimate'.
One such Digimon that may have broken the barrier to go beyond Ultimate level is the fierce DexDorugoramon. Within the Dark Area, where the most terrifying monsters of the Digital World lurk, DexDorugoramon thrived. Even the worst of the worst feared or respected him. His assault on neighboring regions expanded the Dark Area beyond its original borders. He seemed unstoppable, until four of the strongest Digimon banded together. Even with the four of them, DexDorugoramon did not go down easily, taking two of them down with him. And he-
"Ha look, the nerd's trying to make manga during lunch again!"
Tsunichi sighs, trying to ignore the Gazimon trying to bully him. It was such a nice sunny day, why did it have to be ruined just because he'd rather be creative than eat at the picnic table?
Because the Psychemon is weaker than the rest of his classmates, and is seen as a 'nerd', he is constantly bombarded with unwanted negative attention and even physical harm. He's tried hiding, but his bright purple and green colors make him easy to spot. He's tried fighting, but even with his horn and claws, he's always on the losing side of fights, causing more Digimon to pick on him as weak target. His appearance as both and neither wolf nor lizard, instead of looking intimidating, looks as meek as he acts. Ignoring has a chance of working, but sometimes...
"Pay attention to me, nerd!" The Gazimon slams Tsunichi's head into the table. Despite his best efforts, the Psychemon couldn't help but let out a pained whine, causing some of the others to laugh at him. "Where do you come up with such stupid stories," Gazimon taunts. "Wait, don't tell me..."
Tsunichi had the misfortune of trying to boast his way out of being bullied once. His claims that he remembered parts of his past life as an incredibly powerful digimon had only made the teasing worse. However...
"It's true! It's based on who I was-" Tsunichi was quickly interrupted. "I knew it, you're telling lies again! I'll let everyone know you're telling lies! There is no way you were or ever will be strong in any way! Except maybe smell!"
"I'm not lying," Tsunichi insists. "I'm telling the truth! I remember it!" Indeed he did. The thrill of conquest. The agonizing pain of his defeat. The power... oh so much power! And the loneliness and torment, much like he is suffering through now...
"Then prove it! Or you won't get these back!" The Gazimon quickly snatches up the Psychemon's writings and drawings, grinning evilly. "Come get them!"
"I'll..." Tsunichi tears up. "I'll.. I'll tell teacher and then you'll have to give them back!" Unfortunately, that childish retort costs him his works, as Gazimon tears them in half with an "oops!" Looks like it is going to be another long school day.
