Er, right. Overly touchy demon who either found a long-lost friend, or one of his evolutionary forms. Seeing the outright snarl from the NeoDevimon, and a careful tone from Isaac, the Ankomon simply raised his hands up, slowing down and backing away.
Right: "Hey, you do you." He was speaking to the NeoDevimon, of course - judging by how he was treating the spirit, preening and carefully treating the totem, it seemed unlikely that the NeoDevimon was about to mess up things here. At about the second glare in his direction, the wolf shrugged, and slipped away around the corner of a building. "I'll be here when he's done, Isaac. I'd rather not screw up my chances to DNA with it by getting on their nerves."
Yup, that made sense - for now, he'd simply let it be. Unless things got crazy, of course.

"That's okay. I think I'll take a backseat, too," Isaac said. "Much as I want to know what's going on, I think NeoDevimon needs a bit of alone time, you know?" Frankly, it wasn't a solution that Isaac would have come up with normally. He was used to being in the control seat of his own body, and he certainly didn't want to give it up to a Digimon that was of questionable stability at best. However, fusing with Iko to form SkullSatamon left Isaac fresh from a rotating trio of minds. If he and Iko could switch who was the frontman of SkullSatamon, what was really stopping him from "switching" with the lingering instincts and memories of NeoDevimon?
As soon as he felt Isaac's presence recede, NeoDevimon straightened out of his bestial posture. He blinked all six eyes unevenly, looking around as if hearing the world around him for the first time. He looked down at the totem in his hands, the hostility in his eyes immediately melting away to a more welcoming expression. He set it down, gently patting the spirit on its stone helmet. "It's okay," he said. "I'm here now. We both are." He lifted the spirit up with uncharacteristic gingerness between his claws, the totem starting to slowly yet surely unravel into strands of data.
Wispy black smoke coiled around Isaac, equal parts the gaseous environment of the Dark Area and the choking smoke of heavy industry. All things considered, it wasn't very different from what you'd expect to see in the Hardware Den. It coalesced into a thick cloud around Isaac, who was uncharacteristically meditative and still despite the usual jumpiness of the cyber-demon. The cloud lingered for a bit, then slowly started to meld into a new form. It burst from his back in long, wispy plumes, and past his arms in large, sharp-looking configurations. Most dramatic of all, however, was the smoke at the front of the cloud, which seemed to elongate into a pair of gnashing jaws. This smoky silhouette stood pristine for a second, then the clouds parted with the speed and intensity of rushing steam. Through the smoke emerged a dark purple MetalGreymon, roaring a challenge towards the skies.
Then it settled, looking around with its tail swishing aimlessly. It looked like the poor dragon was lost.

And thus, the NeoDevimon would be left alone, at least for a short while. Even with his current tensity, the spirit had, at least, grown enough to allow himself to allow Iko as a DNA partner, and part of that was due to the amount of space the two allotted each-other. Sure, the wolf had to show a fair amount of drive and show that he wouldn't simply back down between the two of them... but at least he didn't break the SkullSatamon form as soon as he had hold of the totem?
Well, no reason to think about that for now. With Luke already holding himself a fair distance away, all Iko had to do was wait for the data signal to change... and, eventually, it would. The NeoDevimon's form collapsed, and grew once more to that of the zombified version of MetalGreymon. His tattered cloak and metallic form hung in the air, a single roar echoing throughout the metallic expanse. The beast soon slowed, though, Isaac clearly not in hold of any part of its mind... as the beast looked like it was on the verge of panic.
Only then, did the Ankomon walk out into the clearing. In fact, he came out right in MetalGreymon's line of sight, holding his hands gently out to the side, palms carefully showing to this larger beast.
"... You alright there?" Iko questioned, tone flat and careful. "Tell me, do you have a name?"

Panic may have been the first word to Iko's mind, and certainly the rather startling entrance of the MetalGreymon may have given that impression. However, upon closer look, the wide-eyed, jaw-dropped look that the cybernetic dragon had was not one of aggression but instead one of wonder. It sat down and looked at the ceiling of the cavern, eyes following the circuit-like patterns that seemed to be etched into the ceiling. Its pupils widened a little each time one sparked to life, only to relax anew when the glow began to fade.
It almost seemed to be experiencing the world around it for the first time.
"I don't know if he does," Isaac said. "I mean, I can usually feel something when I turn into a new spirit form, you know? Some of them are more stubborn than others, like Devidramon and NeoDevimon. But even the chill ones give me at least something to work with. But I'm not getting anything from this guy."
He paused, scratching his chin thoughtfully. "Well, that's not true," he interjected. "I'm getting something from this spirit. But that something is . . . nothing?" Judging by the tone of Isaac's words, he was having quite the hard time explaining what he even meant by that. Nevertheless, he seemed far more in control of this form than he did of NeoDevimon. For starters, it wasn't running off and tearing apart the Hardware Den in a panic or anything like that.
Isaac couldn't help but laugh a little as he continued to think on the feeling. "Did everything always look so . . . new?" he asked. "Or did I just get super burned out from being stuck in, like, one combat-ready body all this time?"

O-oh! It was just Isaac, right there?
Honestly, Iko hadn't expected that, given the manners of the NeoDevimon. The fact that he was feeling literally nothing as well as a new set of eyes certainly brought a bit of interest from the wolf. Now figuring it safe, he took one circle around the MetalGreymon, giving a shrug.
"Honestly, I can't say I know much about spirits - but perhaps the fact that its a mechanical Digimon makes their rules a bit different?" Iko pressed his reasoning forward: "Everything probably looks new, because you haven't quite adapted to seeing it through the dragon's eyes. As for why its quiet, perhaps the spirit's memory bank is simply turned off - or maybe it was intentionally wiped to protect something important, way back when it first perished."
It was hard to say for certain, but it sounded reasonable enough. At any rate, it was good to see that he wasn't tearing apart the Hardware Den in his new form. "You able to reach Impmon from there? Its probably a good idea for us to vamoose for now - before people start wondering why there's smoke coming up from that closed factory."

"No, no, NeoDevimon's a mech too and he gave me way too much info," Isaac mused, trying to puzzle out just what was going on here. He paced around aimlessly as he did so, trying to get a handle on the dragon's instincts. Unlike NeoDevimon, he certainly had a lot of secret compartments. On top of the usual arm, leg, tail, and wing flexes, he also found himself able to make mechanical panels on his chest, cranium, and even the back of his throat slide by tensing up his various muscles. "It's like . . . yeah, I think you're onto something with the whole memory bank thing. 'Cause I'm trying to remember, but I'm not getting any hints of what this guy's got in his past. Even Yasyamon could give me good vibes when I walked through the woods.
But if his memory got messed with, wouldn't there be, like, cuts in it? Instead, it's like the whole thing's been cleared out. Almost like . . ." Isaac trailed off, faintly feeling like he understood now. He let out a small laugh, the rumble of the dragon's voice giving way to a gentle mechanical hum. "Sheesh, no wonder NeoDevimon was so protective of this guy," he said. "Well, let's take our chance to make some memories for you, eh? No time like the present."
Vamoosing might've been a good move, really. He took in a sigh, then let the form go. In dark light MetalGreymon vanished, leaving Impmon floating where he once stood. He clutched his head, looking around as he tried to readjust his vision. "Oof, forgot how much shorter this form is than my beasts," Isaac said, finally successful in adjusting from being ten times his size. "But yeah, we probably shouldn't dawdle much longer. Today's got me hungry as hell. Want to go get something?"

Well, when one wasn't used to being a giant robot-dragon hybrid, there was definitely a lot to mess around with. Metal bones, regular compartments, secret compartments, missiles and ammo... it was a good thing that spirit wielders got a good general instinct of how to use these forms, or else Isaac was going to be stuck with the nonexistent manual for a long while. "At the very least, it looks like you got a good handle on it." Iko gave a nod, still taking a careful step back from the machine.
As for the memory, well: "That just means it was wiped, right?" His guess didn't change, but the spirit wielder at least tried to make the best of it for this poor, lost spirit. Iko smiled at the sentiment, as Luke stepped onto the scene - just in time to see the Impmon floating in mid-air. Luke almost moved to try and catch him, before remembering that Isaac could simply float down.
And yes - once more, Isaac was the short one in the group. Giving a slight laugh, Iko tilted his head: "C'mon, let's roll out of here. We can grab something in Rustport."
"Right - none of the signs I see had anything edible for... well, non-machines." Luke chuckled, but seriously. What was a 'Bolt Cashew' and why were no less then five Digimon in line for it?
